Excellent application for my nVidia Shield Pro. Was lucky enough to find this app mentioned on the Facebook Group that I had recently joined. I had used a few sideloader apps in the past, but this one is far ahead of any of them. Very easy to setup and so customizable that you can do just about anything to your home screen. With the addition of Widgets just adds to the usefulness of the app. Thank you for a great one.

I've tried over 10 other launchers which failed to meet my needs in some way until I found Sideload Channel (original). This was by far one of the best (if not the best) launchers until Sideload Channel Launcher 2 launched (pun intended). This version has added some features that make it much easier to select icons, create groups or folders and just basically organize your apps the way that suits you best. It can act as a standalone launcher or integrate with Nvidia Shield's Leanback Launcher (which I don't prefer). Also, this is easily the best customer service I have ever encountered over many years of software use and development. Highly recommended.

Your App is a really good tool for home screen customization. You call it channels, but it’s just a shortcuts for launching the Apps, and please note, to launch it on the default page. The Android TV home screen, provides a UI that displays recommended (I’d underline “recommended”) content as a table of channels and programs. Each row is a channel. A channel contains cards for every program available on that channel. Why did you make a feature for copying your so-called channels to the defaulted launcher, but you couldn’t implement even a copy of the real channels from the defaulted one into the Sideload Channel? Hi Dexter: I am writing to add a review update since my first review. Firstly, I wish to thank you for the tips and links you sent me. I set up the various options in the app using your tips. After a few tries, the app beautifully displayed everything. It was even possible to assign a TV remote button for the Launcher’s home page. Everything functions well. There is only one word that I can use to express my gratitude for this well-developed app. “Fantastic”! I could also express this by adding that the app is “Awesome”! I highly recommend Sideload Channel Launcher 2 to anyone that wishes to have a custom-designed TV homepage display. Launcher 2 gives a new TV homepage/app usage experience with great options. Great app, finally more control and a decent way to use side loaded apps on my android tv boxes. I have a suggestion for a feature. Since I have two android tv boxes, it would be nice if you could store your settings on google drive or one drive and import it on the other box. The widgets do not show up on my box, is that a limitation of the android version? Is there a way to update the chanel without loading it on the bottom of the launcher screen? It is a minor thing, but I like to keep this app on the second channel :D

This app is an excellent compliment to the nvidia shield. With it i am able to have exactly the channels i want on display. In my use case i was able to add shortcuts to my vpn apps, so i can change locations with much more ease. Replace the default Youtube app with YoutubeVanced, no ads, ability to read comments. Just adding firefox and a file explorer on the home screen brings back so much functionality. I also used to the button mapping function to map a DS4 left-stick-click as a pseudo home button, to launch the channel launcher. Thanks

***UPDATE*** FIRST, Kudos to the developer for contacting me immediately with tips to try to regain control of this great app. UNFORTUNATELY, the sad truth at least with MiBox is that the Android TV 9 update has removed the ability to make this app the default launcher, thus I must lower my rating. As I paid for this app and it is now useless to me. It may work on other devices. As it stands now this will work only as an "App drawer" meaning you must launch it every time to make it work .

I downloaded this app, convinced that I will refund it pretty fast. Oh boy I never regret it one bit. It's amazing. The ability to add URLS as channels is great. Also the included icon packs are very nice. It works great on MiBox S running the official Android 9. Of course it wasn't possible to replace the default launcher but setting the hardware button on the remote controller, worked flawlessly! One feature request: Please add a slideshow for the background pictures! I have a folder with about 70 beautiful pictures and I would like to cycle through them automatically as I do on my desktop and my mobile phones using a wallpaper auto changer app.
