Sideline is more than a second line for you and your business. It’s the flexible, personal communication app that gives your customers a work number they can use - not your private one. Already tens of thousands of professionals are using Sideline to help them transform how they keep in touch with their customers with a dedicated second phone number that gives out your professional caller ID - and keeps your professional second line separate from your private one.

By creating a custom business number, Sideline gives professionals like you the chance to connect with customers, build your small business, and manage all your contacts and communications quickly and easily. Basically, you get your own dedicated, personal work number without the hassle of buying a second phone.

Sideline is your second line designed for professionals - and gives you amazing features like:

AUTO-REPLY – If you miss a call on your work line, Sideline responds automatically with a custom private message.

A TEAM WORK NUMBER – Split one business number with multiple devices, so your team or department can be more responsive in answering your work line.

CUSTOM NUMBER – Build your identity with a personalized second number, such as “(555) PET-SHOP” or “(555) FLOWERS.” So you can pick a more durable work line and professional identity, and not just a burner phone number.

LOCAL AREA CODE – Search area codes to find a local second phone number for your company or small business.

BUSINESS TEXTING – Text-enable your business to easily connect with customers using your 2nd or work line.

ENTERPRISE DASHBOARD – Manage work numbers on employee devices. (Enterprise account required. See for details)

Because Sideline is so helpful and efficient at helping small business and professionals, we’ve got people porting their Google second number over to Sideline.

CARRIER RELIABILITY – All calls are cellular (not VoIP) to make your 2nd phone number as reliable as your 1st.

UNLIMITED CALLING ON YOUR SECOND LINE – Calls use your existing carrier plan, so no extra calling credits needed for your second number.

MESSAGING – Texting includes SMS and picture messaging, group messaging, and more. So you keep all the functionalities you need.

CUSTOM CALLER ID ON YOUR 2ND PHONE– It’s clear which phone number is ringing, so you can prioritize accordingly.

SEPARATE VOICEMAIL – Record a professional greeting or set up multiple greetings for every situation.

VOICEMAIL TO TEXT – Save time and conveniently read voicemail transcriptions as a text.

DO NOT DISTURB – Send Sideline calls directly to voicemail on nights, weekends, or holidays.

NUMBER PORTING – Transfer an existing number to Sideline from another device or landline.

WEB MESSAGING – Access your Sideline business number online and text from the desktop.

Sideline is a business number, not a burner phone! It’s a second number for professionals that brings connections, inspiration and innovation to small business owners. Keep your private and your work number separate and manage your business more effectively.

Download Sideline and create your 2nd line today!

Allows the app to receive packets sent to all devices on a Wi-Fi network using multicast addresses, not just your phone. It uses more power than the non-multicast mode.

disable your screen lock
Allows the app to disable the keylock and any associated password security. For example, the phone disables the keylock when receiving an incoming phone call, then re-enables the keylock when the call is finished.

read phone state
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

read sync settings
Allows the app to read the sync settings for an account. For example, this can determine whether the People app is synced with an account.

run at startup
Allows the app to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the phone and allow the app to slow down the overall phone by always running.

record audio
Allows the app to record audio with the microphone. This permission allows the app to record audio at any time without your confirmation.

I have had a sideline number for 3 years set on auto renew. In the midst of trouble shooting the app with Pinger, my subscription was suddenly cancelled. I did not initiate this- frankly had never looked to see how to do it. Google Pay was helpful in that they spent time with me to make certain that the cancellation was a result of action by Pinger. A week now and Pinger has yet to activate my subscription. I cannot update it via Google Pay. Nothing. Pinger's response- we don't know how that happened. Asking for an IT person has produced nothing. The tech has limited options and we are back to square one. This line is for business. So- all they tell me to do is re-subscribe in June again. Why? It should auto renew as it has done so since 2017.

download I pay subscription and the app says there's a problem that needs to be fixed. Contacted customers who is useless they said it's an issue with Google. Google isn't showing any issue the subscription its fine on their end. Sideline doesn't want to be bothered their customer service sucks look for another app!

تنزيل The only problem i have ever had is the same pl trouble im still having which is the delay in conversations. Its a pretty significant delay between me talking and them hearing me. I can actually hear myself again whe they are hearing it. It often makes me cut off or intertupt a customer.

تحميل Works well for keeping business and pleasure sperate. I like that it supports wifi calling for when I have no cell signal I can still make a call. Inexpensive alternative to a landline.

I've had sideline for a couple of years and I love it. Although it's no longer free, it's worth the nominal fee. Something went wrong with my payment and suddenly I was getting non stop spam. This app helps with that.

Reason why I gave 2 stars was because I have purchased 2 planes 1 in my name and one in my wife's name, They gave my wife a great discount and just because my purchase was 1st I could not get the discount That they gave to my wife. I have several conversations with sideline about changing my plane So it would coincide with my wife's plane, But with no compromising I was told that it couldn't happen So this is why I gave 2 stars. The service is great but the Customer service lacks compassion

Worth it when it works. It was a nice upgrade coming from Google voice. They easily ported my Google Voice number over and the price for SideLine is well justified if you're using it for business and not just a second number for personal use. It actually shows you the number is calling your sideline number so you know the call coming in is a business call. I had a few issues in my almost year using it though. For a while anyone using T-mobile could not call my number (it would go to a number not in service message). It took weeks of back and fourth with customer service, but that finally got resolved. Then there was an issue where if I was on a call and another call came-in, it would send the incoming call to my personal voicemail and not the SideLine voicemail. This issue was never resolved. Their customer support is very responsive and quick, but seem to lack the technical knowledge to fix certain issues. Or they just think you're doing something wrong. I'm sure they get a lot of stupid requests, but it's frustrating when you know what is happening and they want to go through a thousand simple fix steps that you've already tried. Ultimately, I moved away from the service for something more advanced as my business grows and I need more features. I would still recommend it to those who need more features and an upgrade from a free service like Google Voice.

Downloaded it because I need to work from home and part of my job includes contacting techs, but I don't want them having my personal number. When I was looking for apps that created a burner number, this was said to be free with option to upgrade it to ad-free. Well, it's not free outside of a 7 day trial and the cell phone plan I have for my kids is cheaper than this service anyways. My search continues.

  21. Manny Aguilar-avatar

    Manny Aguilar

Love the app. Have been using it for just over a year and continues to make my work easy. The minute I get a call, I know it's business since it's shows the number following with Sideline as a caller ID. This helps know that it's 100% business. Also, the team texting to keep us aligned or to support each other, it's amazing!

  22. Mick Burrow-avatar

    Mick Burrow

Phone doesn't always ring when the number I selected is called and I miss calls. Not until I open the app to check does it show the missed calls. What gives? And I already ordered business cards with this number. Good idea just poor performance. They tried to address this issue before and seemed to work as it should then always goes back to the way its been acting with missed calls.

  23. Julie Essenwein Mackie-avatar

Really easy to use. If you get a new phone or even a new phone number, your business number will remain the same! It works just like a separate phone/messaging app. You can also make calls or send texts over WiFi. There are often a few bugs with some of the updates, but they're always resolved by the next update

Notifications for Sideline calls and texts do not appear on my smartwatch. Also, cannot send documents/files as attachments with texts; nor, can you attach more than one photo at a time. These are essential tasks for my work, so now looking for a new second-number service.

Worst app in existence first incoming calls and texts didnt go through. When i chatted with customer service all they did was give me the run around, 5 days later i wrote back to see if they had an update with the issues they still havent even found the problem. If your looking for a good company to get another number dont use them i would use line2. If i could give negative stars I would!

  26. Susan-avatar

My calls are only going to my sideline app if I have call fwd or announcements turned on. I have already force stopped and cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled app, software is up to date, and did a complete reset on my phone. I receive texts but no calls. If I dont have announcements or call fwd to VM on it goes into my Verizon voicemail without ringing. Does anyone else have this problem?? Sideline responded immediately and everything works now!! Thank you!!

Keeps missing calls because it just won't ring. Tried all the troubleshooting and did everything they said and the phone still doesn't ring when someone calls you. I've missed several calls now costing me a lot of money. I'm going to go with a different app. I have a up to date Moto g7. Very common phone.

Added a sideline for business several years ago. Now I want to eliminate my main number and just keep my sideline number which is all I use for business. I've contacted customer support because I am not techy at all, it's all very frustrating I can't lose my business number, my sideline number ,but I don't know if it'll go to my new carrier and I can't get a straight answer it's very confusing to an old lady y'all need to make it easier to keep your sideline number

Sideline works well enough. the problem i face is i have around 100 clients i need to keep updated. When i send messages to those 100 clients i get blocked because sideline thinks im spamming everyone. There's a limit to the texts i am allowed to send and its really hindering my ability to manage my clients. I wish I would've known this. Paid $9.99 on September 10. It's September 18. Sideline has decided to Block me from getting into my account. Try getting a refund is like pulling my own teeth!!!!! There's other apps out there. You would think that when someone is going to BLOCK you, they would give you a heads up. Not these people!!!! They want to rip you off. Good app for business. PLEASE make update to differentiate between incoming calls, outgoing calls, and missed calls. I like that is let's you know it's a business call and it has an auto response too. Needs more auto response options though. Each day I set a new message to keep my response fresh, but with only 4 including the default to choose from it's a bit limited. I would love to see that upgraded.

Sideline just rip me off for $10 bucks. They said 7 days free but they still charge my account. So when I canceled it they tells me to go in Google Play Store Settings to cancel and when I open into it, there's nothing saying to cancel sideline app. They gave me two false information and I'm going to press charges on them for ripping me off.

So helpful for educators during the pandemic--Google voice does not have the ability to forward to voicemail or auto reply to all texts, so those phone lines become a permanent on-call # 24/7! Sideline allows me to set office hours and I honestly do NOT know what I'd do without it!

  68. Mike N-avatar

Can you make the interface nicer. Maybe put the buttons at the bottom rather then the top. Maybe add night mode to make the interface dark. And a lot of the emojis look cheap. I cant play gifs. Too many clicks needed to get to the photo gallery to send a pic. Please fix this and you get 5 stars. Thank you.

This is a great service (app) and had not failed me yet. I really like the fact that incoming calls show their number, identify the call as a Sideline call, and caller ID will display. Once call fwd is available this service will be a 10.

I have had to uninstall Sideline, because it does not have a Do Not Disturb mode and it keeps me from being able to get any sleep. Now I cannot figure out how to stop my subscription. No phone support everything done via email which is annoying and slow. No online interface if you have a "team" or business account going to multiple phones. No ability for extensions and transfers. If you close your account you cannot retrieve messages they wipe your data immediately even though they claim to hang on to if for several years. If you need a cheap 2nd number sure but no scalability and just an overall poorly built app. Would not buy again have grasshopper now and it's way better.

This app is great and I only have 2 request. I wish that there wasn't a green background when you send text messages. I'm not sure why there is not a normal white background but I didn't want to cause any brand confusion for my company. So allow it to be white background with black text, or customize what color we want for the background. Also I wish text messages just had a normal alert instead of the actual ringtone. I get confused when it's a call or text messages. Other than that it's 👍

I do not like sideline I would prefer nobody to sign up for that it got signed up on my card and they refuse to reimburse my $99 and then you try to do an online chat as they tell you to go to your Google account to find the refund number so they can still tell you that there's nothing they can do

Good app but there are times when calls do not come through. I will see that I have missed calls and the phone never rang, and the party on the other end will say that the call went straight to voicemail. This actually has happened quite frequently recently.

Ive had Sideline around 2-2.5 years now. I was upset when they switched to pay model but, really, it's been worth every penny to have a second line that works off my cellular plan. Great job so far, folks. Haven't had a problem yet.

It's awesome. A little spendy. But you get what you pay for. Reliable, easy, and is nice to have for a business or just for people you don't really want having a personal number. Been using it for about a year and I'm happy to not have to get a burner phone.

I gave this app a real good try. I wanted to love it so much but it let me down time and time again. The line wouldnt ring, I would be prompted days later with multiple missed calls and voicemails - it was a disaster. The one good thing is that when I asked for a full refund of my 6 month payment, they didn't argue or fight me, they just refunded me and cancelled the account. Extra star for good customer service on the way out.

worked pretty well and short of a few small hiccups, i really liked the service. Then out of the blue, 2 months into having the service, inexplicably I discovered that if you send a group text, and one of the numbers in the group is a Google Voice phone number that any replies from that Google voice number are sent on their own back to you. Removing them from the group text string altogether. I gave them a month to fix this but they never could and it created major challenges for my business.

I've been using this app for a couple years and it is awesome and yet updates provide even more awesomeness. This actually works very well as a second number and I dedicate this number for business calls. I still really like this app. However, I am having some issues with the app. Sometimes it will not ring, or ring thru (call waiting). No definite pattern, like when i'm on a call or something. I will just get a notification indicating a missed call. Thank goodness for that as this number is used for a business line, and it is imperative, that i do not miss a call. Also, some people have told me that it will ring anywhere from 4-8 times before either VM picks up, or they stop the call. Any ideas will be helpful.

Im a freelancer and been using Sideline app for 3 years. It used to be free but now charge $9.99 a month. Still worth it for work purposes and more affordable compared to other sources. The app is not perfect just like every app, or phone company you may experience a technical issue every now and then, but nothing major. Their customer support team is great, responds quickly, and is usually resolved within minutes. I have recommended Sideline to many others who now use this app no problem.

Going on my 3rd year with Sideline. I like being able to give out a number that's not my "real" number, and having seperate text and call sounds. I've never had a problem with call clarity, yes it takes an extra second or so to connect, but that's not a big issue for me. Blocking numbers is easy, but if I accidently block one, the process to unblock is too complicated. I have had issues in the past where my REAL phone number was showing up instead of my Sideline number. Overall I'm pleased.

While using it as a burner number this app worked great, but it really, really doesn't want you to cancel. For over a month after I've canceled my subscription because I no longer need a burner number Sideline keeps sending me texts telling me I should "resubscribe because someone might be contacting my sideline number" You know, defeating the whole point of a burner number. I've said STOP to at least three of their texts now. I only await when they try to advertise to me again

frequently doesn't display the caller id correctly. sometimes it fails to show the name, sometimes it fails to show the correct number, sometimes it fails to show both. Pinger support (Andrea) has been working on it with me for several weeks, but has not been successful in correcting the problem. for a paid app I expect a better product. UPDATE 7/7/19 - Pinger / Sideline has failed to correct this issue in over two and a half months of trying(?). I keep getting messages from them asking for info I've already provided or they repeat solutions that didn't work. They really don't know what they're doing with this app. I'd recommend staying away from Sideline and anything Pinger. I'd give this no stars if that was an option.

I'm disappointed this app didn't work out for me. I was fine with the cost and the phone number collection was awesome. I used the app for less than a day and the call quality is lacking. There was a 2-5 second delay in voice transmission and my conversations were "garbled". As patient as I am, it's frustrating to constantly interrupt and be interrupted by the person you're taking to. This may be tolerable for a free app, but not acceptable for a paid app.

I've had sideline for a couple of years now-initially installed it when the service was free of charge & someone recommended I try the service. When it became fee based, I didn't hesitate to pay, because it proved to be effective during the months of using it as a free service. I visualized how sideline could benefit my future endeavors so i continued to pay for the service. I've been using this app for the past two years. I am fairly satisfied with it. I like giving clients a local number to call but keeping it separate from my main number. And turning it to auto responses when I'm out of the office. But sometimes i will get a voicemail from the app on my main line. And I wish I could have a separate contact list just for my clients within the app instead of in my personal contact list. The app is continuously asking for permission to merge contact list.

This didnt personally work for me as the call quality was both choppy and unreliable. Sometimes calls come in sometimes they dont. Sometimes you can hear the other person, sometimes you cant. I somehow missed the 1st month was free and there was a $10 subscription afterwards but customer service was friendly and helpful to cancel all past charges with no gruff. So even though it wasnt for me, due to the excellent CS, I still gave the app 4 stars.

For over 3 years, I have been using Sideline for my work mobile phone number so I don't have to give out my personal number. For the price and reliability, it made much more sense than paying AT&T for another phone just for a phone number. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Sideline to anyone looking for a secondary mobile phone number at a very fair price.

Great app, worth the money. Easy to set up. If you want a work and personal line, or line just for certain people, get this is app! Well, since you ask, I often use a VPN—the best ones, by all accounts—and my one quibble is that I'm unable to make or receive calls with an active VPN. Texts, I *think*, work fine. It'd be nice to be able to use your excellent app while retaining the degree of privacy offered by cell phone VPN's.

I have been using Sideline as a biz mobile number for 3-4 years. I must say, I am very pleased with the service overall. It has been reliable and easy to use. There are some things that should be addressed: 1. The app REALLY needs a Search function. I cannot look up texts or calls without scrolling through and opening every conversation. This is inefficient. 2. If a text or call is received through Sideline while on a standard network call, it disables the speaker function. Otherwise Great!

I've been pleased with Sideline. I'm a social worker and use it for my clients. It provides great boundaries that they don't have my personal number. I personally love this app! It NEVER messes up on me and it sounds as clear as a regular phone. My girl is in jail and an out of state number makes it just 21 cents a minute with no connection fee. a local number is so expensive it would cost me 17 dollars for a 15 minute call so this app is priceless to me because it's going to save me thousands of dollars for the next 9 months she's in there! I've got 6 different texting/calling app on my phone and this by far the best one!

The app use to work okay but it's gotten worse. And support is worst than the service.. I've called, started a chat and sent an email regarding the messages on the app that are marked as unread as far back as March. Each time my case is pushed to tier 2 and nothing happens. If you're connected to WiFi and receive or make a call, your service is pitiful. When I receive a call I have to turn off the WiFi and then take the call. Maybe I'll get a response with a negative review

We've been using sideline since near the begining. We've given the plenty of time to address the glaring shortcomings like: - No ability to search messages - No export feature for messages If you change phones or lose your phone you're SOL regarding your old messages unless you hack the app. As many people have been pointing out for years, these are basic features that any comunications app should have. This is not advanced stuff. We've been asking for these basic features for years but the developers don't care. This past year everyone that I recomended sideline to has quit the service and now I have too.

The app is good, but I'm giving it 3 stars because of the difficulties of changing your subscription. It should be within the app that you can choose your new plan going forward, without all of these steps that lead to nowhere. I had the 6 month, yes, but I want to purchase just one more month, but I have to cancel, ok done. When you go back in you're given the option to renew where you are, that's it. Maybe I'll just go to another provider for this month that I need.

I hate to put less than 5 stars because in all honesty we all have room for improvement. A few things I would suggest to improve.. make it to where the sideline number is unable to leave voicemails on the main line phone number... I dont remember the rest sorry. All in all it's a pretty good app! But I dont like mixing business with my main line number.

UPDATE: Customer support replied very quickly and offered a refund of my last month's payment. I was very impressed with this and grateful. However, I have looked through all my subscription history on all my Google accounts and nowhere does it show that I had an active subscription (after the 7-day free trial) with this company. Somehow the subscription was cancelled on my end but they still had my card # and continued to charge it. I will update again as necessary once the claim form is complete. If you read through the other negative reviews (that I should have paid attention to) I am not the only one this is happening to. PREVIOUS: They've been charging my card since I cancelled. I even read the other similar reviews and made sure that I went into the subscriptions on my Google Play and cancelled there. It has not been appearing on my subscription since I cancelled and yet they keep charging me. I am having Google investigate it and emailed them. I will update as necessary.

Sideline works great. I use it as a business line so I don't have to carry two phones. I can send calls straight to a text message once my shift ends. With sideline, I now am able to have work and personal boundaries. I like also that all voicemails left are a message and are seen as a text. As long as you have cell signal, sideline will work awesome. I live in the mountains so it will not work if I only have 1 bar, but the benefits far outweigh that 1 con. Plus the price is great!!!

  111. S.W-avatar

No calls EVER seem to come through, regardless of being on wifi or off wifi, it just shows Missed Call. It would also be nice to have export function to be able to back up texts to a .txt file with a click. Video quality is not up to standards so don't bother, use your regular phone instead. It's really okay to use as a second text number. I only seem to be able to make outgoing calls, not receive them. I would love to see improvements made @the price you're charging.

I like having a second line for business on the same device. I don't like that I can't prevent notifications from other apps coming through when I am on a call. These are distracting. It would also be nice for a message that has not yet been checked to remain on the sideline icon to remind me to listen to it later as happens with the main line VM (meaning I look at the list of messages but don't listen to them yet). I would also like to be able to mark messages as unread after reading them.

I've been with sideline on and off for 4 years and I've tried other free ones...I have to say I love this App and all the new features to make our lives more manageable with in our business. The super team weather you call or live chat, they are quick to answer and very knowledgeable, I like that I can get my messages on my laptop while I'm doin work on there instead of checking my phone... Answer then back to the computer...ugh! The reception is great, as if it was a call on my direct line.😁

I have had Sideline since it was a free service. it was better when it was free. Business voicemails constantly end up on my personal line. I don't check my personal messages daily and have lost customers and had emergency calls go unanswered for a few days. When this happens 5 times now, customer support has me delete the app and reinstall. Everytime I reinstall I lose past voice and text messages. Using this service makes my company look bad.

Ongoing subscription issues. Can't change plans without canceling first. Very few options available to change notifications or VM greetings. Website access to text is is even more simple making it almost useless. Stayed with the service because I had already told clients the new number. The concept is great and very helpful in keeping work separate from personal and have just one phone. Long delay in communication causes confusing conversations. Always running over each other's sentences. Most times I answer I have to say it again because the other side heard nothing. Looking to move away from app if possible.

I love my Sideline, . I get a different ringtone so I know which line is calling. I also changed phone services from my main phone number to a different carrier. When I done that sideline wouldn't ring but everything else worked. I emailed for help, response was fast. been using this app for a few months now as our business line. I love it because it allows me to easily distinguish right away if the incoming call is personal or business related. I also love that you have the ability to call or text with the line as well. the only thing that keeps it from being perfect (& its really more annoying than anything) is the voicemail translation to text *really* needs some work. rarely is it ever even close. fix that and it's a perfect 5 stars!

I have loved this app from the start. It has been so useful with work, especially with being able to automatically respond to missed phone calls. However, I really fell in love a couple weeks ago. My phone was stolen and I was worried I may have a new client with an appointment I couldn't track down. Sideline app is without a doubt the best way to keep your anonymity when making and receiving calls. Having a 2nd phone number to use for starting a business, or personal business calls, dates you're not sure about, solicitations, robocalls, family or friends; it's just the perfect way to have one device with 2 numbers. But this app keeps bringing up my SIM phone number and specifically asking me to connect with that phone number, and the app is being really annoying about it. I use sideline as my primary number for buisness. While it is functional, there are limitations and some issues to be aware of. Texting of photos is limited, Tech says they dont know "it left our server without an error". Incoming calls show 2 different numbers sometimes which can be confusing. It shows the number calling then right below that a second phone number shows up on the call screen. Sideline is less functional for texting than a real phone number.

Works pretty well... It would be great to be able to manage team members better with the team number, also a do not disturb inside the app strictly for the sideline number. I use this service for work purposes. The only key feature I wish it had is the ability to set do no disturb times. When I'm not at work I'd like the app to automatically forward calls to voicemail and silence notifications during specific times. Other than that, it's a pretty decent app and the price is relatively fair. Great tool for law enforcement.

The idea of this app is good but the quality sucks. I consistently have three to four bars of service on the Verizon network and it always says that the quality of my connection is too poor to make a call. I can have personalized voice mail and have an automatic text message sent so if I can't talk at the moment they can always text me. Sideline is way better than others and offers so much more. Best app ever for having a business line on the go! The app hasn't given me issues in the almost 4 years of using it. we came from Google Voice and though we like a lot of the features, we really need a search option within the texts messages. if we're going to continue to pay for an app as oppossed to using the free Voice app it really needs to have that option. we have way too many customers to not have that feature. also a way to mark a message or voicemail unread would be helpful so we can read a message and if it isn't directed towards that team member, we can leave it for them unread.

I have tried several second line apps, free ones, trials, paid ones etc. none of them do it better then Sideline. What sets them apart however is their support. Whenever I had a question, I emailed support and no matter what time of day it was, whether noon or midnight didn't matter I would get a reply literally within a minute from a friendly knowledgeable support agent. I've had this app on three different phones. The devs and ops will try to blame the device for crappy performance, but the fact of the matter is: You will experience irritating voice delays while speaking to another party, missed calls & texts, and the unwanted joy of pop-up promotions (no, you can't opt-out!) by the ops trying to goad you into using/buying/donating things. I wasn't looking for a personal relationship with a company or a philanthropy. All I wanted was a second phone number.

misleading, does not tell you you have to pay until you have done every other part of the account. to add to this other services are usually free and take less time to set up (mainly have a problem with is requiring phone verification first and then asking for payment, now they have your phone number, Google account, and they have a password you typed in which could be your email password!)

Pretty good app. Works well about 90% of the time - I'm not sure if the data connection is the cause of the other 10% but because this is not an actual sim and relies on the data networking functionalities of the device that seems to be my only issue, slight lag and some intermittent notifications where it says I had received a call a good 20 minutes to few hours after the fact. I am thinking this could be because the phone is in a "sleep" mode to conserve battery.

Update. I was happy with the app and phone service but had left a 1 star review for the following issue that was resolved. I was forced to move to a subscription after several months OR pay a fee to port my number out. Otherwise, I would lose my important number forever. I agreed to the subscription as one of the benefits was free port outs. I even confirmed this through support at the time. Overall, Sideline is great for my work number. I love not having to carry 2 phones. If I could change anything, I would rather have an easier way to have my Sideline calls always go to my Sideline voicemail when I do not/can not answer. I don't like work calls going to my personal voicemail. Right now, it's cumbersome to do that, having to set it up to accept or reject every call. Aside from that, the app is great.

Now my clients are being told that my mailbox is full and they cannot leave messages. I was unaware that there even is a mailbox. I call my own number to check a mailbox I'm told that I can't call my own number. This is the last problem I will have.

Really bad! I get the app for a long time, I had the premium subscription for a year. 4 months ago begins with troubles receiving and sending SMS, after that stop receiving calls. I tried to resolve the issue with the costumer service because I had the phone number everywhere, in my business cards, ADS, social media, clients... and change the phone of all has been a nightmare but I most to do it because 2 weeks ago the app change automatically the number each time I open it.

**UPDATE** Since the price went from $2.99 a month to $9.99 a month, it isn't worth it! Just canceled my subscription and got a second line with my provider. Why go up so high on the price?! I have been using Sideline for awhile now. Always comes through clear. Love the auto-reply features. It really is a great app for a second number for a business.

Been having some issues with it recently. it doesn't seem to ring when someone calls anymore. sometimes it'll pop up saying that I have a missed call and voicemail but it never rang in the first place. I also don't always get the notifications saying I have a missed call. can be very frustrating.

The app is really wonderful in helping me seperate work and personal communication. Having a second number within the same phone and not worrying about it getting mixed up with my personal number is a great peace of mind. To add into this, Sideline has more features that my native dialer doesnt. I love the auto reply feature, voicemail to text, custom voicemail, etc. Great product if you are looking for a 2nd number solution :)

I've been using Sideline for a while and have location turned off in permissions. It does not require location in order to work. Yet my phone tells me that Sideline is collecting location information in the background rather constantly. I have read that it is probably doing this by tracking nearby routers. Is that so? Why? How can this be stopped?

We use it as a supplemental method of communication for our customers. They can text in, exchange pics and of course call, if need be. We have it setup as a team phone number so that our employees can collectively respond. It becomes a first-available situation when employees are responding to customers. The ability for everyone to read the exchanges ensures we are all on the same page. I have a wishlist for Sideline for a few extra settings options but overall it's great and gets the job done.

I have been using sideline for over a year now. I like the fact I can have a second line with me at all times. My customers like being able to text pictures to me, and I can answer with a text of my own to confirm an appointment. This is the most affordable option for a mobile small service company. Very rarely do I have any call issues, sounds just like a hard line. I would recommend to any small business person looking to add an second line.
