    Spent way to much money on a 10 ft and 20ft. App sucks can't dim,brighten,can't control the speed other then their PRESET options. Not what I thought the lights or App would be. The cheaper rope lights the you need to by 10 or 20 packs of have more options. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!

    Thinking there would be updates and fixes since last year, I tried again. They will not connect to my Android Samsung Note 8, with the message that it's not close enough. (Even though we were testing in the kitchen... iterally inches away.) We unplugged and restarted the process many time. It's a dud and I'm sorry I bought two sets.

    This app sucks. The lights are cool if the app that controlled them worked right. There is no memory. The lights do not have a timer that can be set to come on every night. The app constantly crashes, I can't get into settings. For the cost of these lights the app should work much better and the lights should have a stronger bluetooth. Don't waste your money!

    The price is too high for the type of lights 1. Settings are very small it's hard to read it. 2.it constantly disconnects. You'll need to uninstall the app and re install it again. For it to be recognized. 3. light are very low. No app to brighten it or even dimm it. 4. Lights not worth buying. 5. they even have an extra charge for 2 years warranty. 6. Price too high for it features.

    I cannot connect to my spotlights as it constantly says my Bluetooth signal is weak... Update: after developer recommended to unplug 3 times and then reconnect, the app is now working at the moment. It doesn't indicate that the app is connected to my spotlights, however, when I change colors and speeds my actions are acknowledged by the spotlights. All in all, it is working at the moment (though it was frustrating and took some extra actions on my part).

    I read some of the earlier reviews about compatibility, but seems to be working for me. The interface is somewhat simplistic: either you can pick a preset show, eg: Christmas, or you can pick a single color and pick its strobe/chase pattern. You can not make multi-color effects of your own devising, eg: red chased by yellow chased by blue.

    It does not work with light ball . No matter how close I get to the device, plug, unplug. Turn blue tooth on and off again and again. Useless.

    App is horrible - dated, unreliable connection (when it actually manages to connect) and general poor design, end requires location data to allow app to run. App will not run if you don't grant location access. There is no legitimate reason this app needs location data to effectively use the program or interface with the device. The programmer either sucks, or aggregated location data has financial value to the developer. If you're gonna harvest data, make an app that at least doesn't suck.

    The lights are really cool but the app is really bad. Says it cant connect or says need a different version of android. An older version. I tried several phones and all the same. The app needs to be revamped fast, I think I'll be returning these lights. It's a shame. Ita misleading because the box says works with smart home features yet the app is pretty dumb or not smart. Cant set up an account because it's not compatible.

    Great app! Great lights! Everything works easily. Took some time to figure settings out but after that it is a breeze. Just wish there was a setting that turned the lights on at a certain time and would turn them off. Kinda sad that you have to either leave them on 24/7 or turn them on daily. Where I'm at it gets dark around 430 and I don't get home till after 6.

    I never leave reviews, but felt this to be necessary after this experience. This app and device are garbage. Hot garbage to be a little more specific. It took about 15 mins from less than 2 feet away for it to finally connect by opening and closing app a bunch of times. Now step 3, all of the showhome products are greyed out. Strings light show tab gives an empty page. Open close reinstall power off on etc... Literally doesn't work...

    It looks like a great app. I have OnePlus 7 Pro. Unable to connect. Keeps saying I'm too far away. I can with an old I phone. I am literally a foot away. Tried to reset and everything else. I am inclined with electronics. Would rate 5 stars but can't connect.

    Have them on a photocell timer and seems to forget everything daily. Not really worth the effort when I have to run multiple cords all over the place since some lights are dumb strings and displays. So it's one or the other. Plus it's recommended not to just leave them plugged in.

    Terrible app!! I'm literally right next to the lights, 1 inch away and it can't connect! I've tried several times and still nothing! Terrible, horrible app!! It needs TONS of work! Do NOT buy this product, save your save time and a headache! Zero stars!!

    Tried connecting with 4 different devices including android and iOS. Nothing would connect. I've probably spent an hour trying to get this stupid light to work. Don't bother. Take it back if you've already purchased it, walk away if you haven't.

    So after several attempts, the password protect does not work on android 9.0, the Galaxy tab S2 running android 7.0 doesn't connect to lights. So the lights are useless to me since I can not control them and they interfere with my neighbors show lights. Until developers update to support tablets or android 9 which is on all the newest android devices currently 😔

    lights are great. This app however always freezes up trying to set password. The easy thing is to not set a password however when 2 of your neighbors use it they take control of your lights with out a password. Needs update for Android 8.0 or later so we can set passwords.

    I dont have problem connecting, I was 5 houses down across the street and surprised it responded, my disappointment is that all lights work the same, in the future they should separate the c9 lights from icicles since I want them doing separate shows. I want the icicles doing winter to look like icicle, and c9 multicolored to look like christmas. For now I have multicolored icicles and c9. I do like that this year you are offering longer sets, having to hang 16 boxes in the eaves is a pain.

    The whole system is so far behind technology you will spend more time trying to connect and get your light show right then it takes to set up your light show and please don't use your cellphone to connect to your lights wifi cause your phone truly will become a old school remote no phone call no texting no nothing till you disconnect from your setup. To me till they upgrade the app and the connection to the setup this is totally a waste of money

    Inconsistent connection. I plugged in one light and was able to get it to work. Plugged in a second string in series. A few bugs at first but I was able to get them to sync. Plugged in a 3 string and now none will connect. The first two strings are twinkling blue, the third string is solid green, even though I have the program set to solid red. Too much trouble. Returning all 5 boxes today. I really liked the idea but these are garbage.

    The app & company definitely need some work. I've read other reviews of people not being able to get different products do different things. I've been able to but not in the way it was or should be designed. I have 6 boxes of spot lights, 2 boxes of candy canes path lights, 1 box of Christmas tree path lights and 1 box of snowflake path lights. The app makes it appear as though you can inactivate a certain product and then change another but as soon as you activate that product again it picks up the product you just changed. Here is what I've done to get them to do different things. 1. Unplug the item(s) you don't want to change, change the item you want to change, exit out of the app. 2. Unplug the item you just changed. 3. Plug in the next item you want to change, launch the app again and change the next item and exit the app. 4. Repeat these steps until all items are doing what you want them to do. I have my spot lights flashing between Red, Green and White, my candy canes "rolling" white and my Christmas trees and snowflakes "rolling" the winter color setting. It shouldn't be this difficult but at least I was able to figure it out.

    Slow connection. On android 9 Note 10+. My neighbor can change my color settings and vice versa. Why cant I set my password on android 9? I'm sure they dont want me changing their color settings. Fix this or i will be returning these lights. Come on these can easily be hacked...

    The app, really only controls one type of light at a time. If you have multiple sets and different types as I bought, your stuck with a certain pattern or color for everything. Otherwise you risk shutting one strand off, and everything goes south pretty quick. I had set myself up with high expectations for these lights and app. Needs some improvement.

    The app is clearly translated from Chinese and is terrible, there are even typos in the app (and on their website). UI is one of the worst I have experienced and the app will only sometimes turn on/off the lights. This product was shot out to the market with great features that don't work. Regret my purchase of the lights already. It would have been easier to just buy traditional Christmas lights and a timer.

    I purchased the ShowHome LED Spotlights because I thought it'd be neat to control them no matter the season. The App which allows you to control your device is useless which unfortunately renders the device USELESS. The only thing that does work is the On/Off function. NOTHING ELSE. I can't change the color, timer, product mode, or motor. Please fix your App. You have a great product now make the app work with it so I can keep the product. I want to keep it 😂

    12/11/19 update: It's been a year and the app still isn't working with the icicle lights. I don't recommend buying any products that are tied to this app and the developer as I have 3 strings of useless lights.

    So I found out the problem with the app: you have to turn the whole system off then back on to control it, BUT YOU HAVE 1 SEC TO MAKE CHANGES. After that, you have to turn the lights off and on again. This is in addition to none of the devices showing up in the status part of the app. Overall, I think a high-schooler could've made a better app (having made one myself in high school). Not easy, but definitely expected for the money your asking.

    They were expensive. I figured that would mean easy functions etc. They are all connected but have free will I guess. They don't respond as one and are a joke. I have Uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times. I bought 4 strands. Sometimes it says 3 connect, other times 4. But even when all 4 connect, occasionally 1 or 2 don't respond to the commands. Not worth the price. Not at all.

    they work great. i have the large spheres i got from home depot. the app could be improved. first, the mode selection toggle could have larger font. as it is now, i have to tap each option to see what it does. also would like to make individual spheres a different color. also would be nice to set my own pattern. id like to set the lights to a chase mode to guide folks to my door.

    The idea for the app is good, but it's a major pain to get lights to connect. Literally standing in front of one and app says it's not there. Controls are okay if/when bluetooth says they're connected. Once working, colors are vibrant and soothing. Three phones, same problem. App also offers no help ... you gotta guess settings.

    Garbage. If you bought the light take it back. Get your money back. The app connects I can turn it on and off n change colors but that is it. No holiday shapes at all even had other people hook up to it n nothing. Get your money back now!!!!

    The app it's self is decent at best menus and function are subpar and at time confusing. The worst part is the Bluetooth connection, the device pairs "fine" with the phone but since it appears to not be a constant connection it relies on the app to connect and the app does not seem to always do it at least for Android, couldn't get any iOS device to even see the Bluetooth of the lights at all.

    just bought this because i thought it would really cool to change the lights from my phone. however it is a bad set up since you can only rely on the app which does not work. i tried several times by installing and uninstalling the app and still cannot connect the icicles. The only thing the app allows me to do is to turn the lights on and off. This sucks. I am returning.

    In the UI I'd like to be able to choose more color combinations (blue red purple please!) or assign which spotlights are what color (I only have spotlights)...as well as choose different colors for different sets without locking/unlocking and trying a single strand at a time. The app itself doesn't always want to connect, I often have to close out and restart. I *am* very happy with the product so far though in general and wouldn't hesitate to recommend! hoping a dev will hear my plea :)

    the light devices work as expected. a bit misleading on the box but the laser and motors work. the app however is its failure point. the lights do not connect and im 2 ft away. the app is not able to detect a count of lights connected to the phone. the app is not able to change the colors or patterns of the laser lights. Phone device used is a Galaxy S8+. devs please put an effort into correcting this app for next season.

    I don't know what other people's problems are, but I bought 15 sets of icicle lights a year ago. Before I got them on the house, my new puppy destroyed the transformer on one of the sets. I wrote to the company, IN CHINA, hoping to be able to buy just a new transformer. They sent me a new set for free! My contact actually joked about the dog chewing on the transformer. I've had them up all year, using them for my daughter's wedding in January and every holiday since. I LOVE these lights and app!

    fix your app it doesn't work with my light! There's something wrong with it!please update this. I love these lights. Im stuck in Christmas colors and want to change them. it's a shame when you contact the company that makes the lights and they won't answer you either. I wouldn't waste any money or time buying these if you're thinking about it. Cuz you're not going to get an answer and there isn't going to get an update.

    updated my rating because latest update restored functionality. Great lights with nice options. anyone having problems reconnecting make sure you are fully closing the app and not just exiting the app. if you close the app down, when you re-open the app it will connect to the lights no problem as long as your within a reasonable range.

    Installed the 1/2/19 update for the first time on my Samsung S6. Can't do anything with the app other than turn the 3D laser on/off. Though It has a section on the main screen to control it, it doesn't show up as a detected device to do anything. Though if I hit the power on/off in the app, the 3D laser does turn on/off.

    unit itself works fine but i am using a galaxy note 9 and the app works kind of. I have the laser rgb 3d hologram projector. I have to click on show 1 and 2 and 3 in order to get any of the colors to change. the whole bottom part of the app doesnt even respond but one time then does nothing. so i will hit the show 1 or 2 or 3 click back to main screen and it lets me hit one option on the bottom part of app then doesnt respond after that. it doesn't even have quantity count of one in the top left

    terrible app design, need material design. also i cant change the brightness? or work with ifttt? garbage! im using the ball and for $50 it is not worth it. the developers were paid a quick buck to rush out an app. like why isnt there a color wheel that i can choose from? like a color map? why is there such little option for such a product with a hefty price tag but with big potential? fix your app or im returning both of my spheres. Also devs dont reply to customers, they already have their $$$

    when I first bought this I read all the negative reviews about how poorly the app worked. initially it worked fine for me and I'll give it a 5-star review now 2 weeks later I'm revising it to a one-star review as the app works maybe one out of every ten times if I'm lucky most of times it does absolutely nothing at all. which I don't understand because little kids are able to write successful apps in elementary school nowadays so how is it some allegedly professionals to put such a poor app.

    I don't understand why the app needs access to device location as well as photos, media, and files as I don't believe all is necessary for Bluetooth access to setup the app. Taking the lights back to HD for this reason. What a shame too because I was looking forward to having these lights on the house.

    i can truly see the potential for awesome light shows here. i recommend taking the year to tweak it and get it working properly before next Christmas. i was able to get at least a show option. However it only worked, at all, when i wasn't connected to bluetooth... weird right? Overall satisfied with this setting however would love some options in the future. Or i could just wait for somebody else to do it better. Very happy i got this on super after Christmas discount. Pity for full price.

    I bought over 400.00 in product..it had vague descriptions.. not really many bells and whistles unless you buy all variety of the products..and the bluetooth range is like 10 feet !! I cant even sit curbside and turn on my lights 15 ft away..I also have had multiple issues with only half of the string turning on while the other half remains off..and it's not picking up all the sets of lights .. somedays its 2 some days its 6!! The product itself is nice and great idea but the app developer himself sucks ass!!

    I just purchased the outdoor Christmas lights that this app controls. I downloaded the app, went through the installation and was asked permission to allow the app to access my phone photos, files and GPS positioning. I declined and the app will not function. The app will only control Christmas lights and should not have access to my files, photos and position. I'm returning the lights today.

    Cant read app print too small. Crashes s7. Only saves password on 1 light strip and after password I cant use the other strips. Had to exchange 2 strips of lights in 3rd day because half strips went out. App requires location settings on for use so obviously show home and/or developer dont care about my security. I wouldn't suggest this app or lights to anyone ever. Going back after Christmas only because I'm not removing all light strips again after having to do it because detected. Pure junk do not install for your privacy and safety. Do not purchase there light strips because of inferior defective 2nd rate junk.

    I'm a techy nerd who does lighting and AV for a living. I'm giving the app 4 stars for doing what it advertises. The bluetooth connectivity was effortless. For those of you experiencing issues with connectivity, try shutting the app down and restarting. The functionality of the app is pretty impressive, given what it accomplishes with such little effort. The orientation and sequencing of the light strings makes organizing multiple strands a breeze. The shows it offers are somewhat limited, but for most folks this product will make you the rockstar of the neighborhood for the next couple of holidays. I installed mine under the eave so the light washes down on the walls. This gives a very professional look at a fraction of the cost. The one feature I would ask for is a dimmer setting for year round architectural lighting. Good job...

    I like this app and the lights. But it needs the ability to re-sync the lights without closing the app. App Blue Tooth doesn't always sync with phone.

    Horrible app. I'm a tech savvy person. So any reviewer who tells that bad reviews are given by people who are not that knowledgeable technologically are a bit off with their judgment. Let's say the app is bad enough there should be a way to manually control the lights without relying on it but too bad you're out of luck. Older fancy color changing lights with effects are way better with their manual control. All products controlled by this app are dependent on it. I'm returning the lights as well

    Update: i gave the lights 5 stars. It works you have to pair all bluetooth lights and wait for the app to recognize the lights (maybe up tob30 minutes), then open app. I've spent over $1,000 on these lights (12 boxes of C9, and 6 boxes of spot lights). All but a few connect to bluetooth on my phone. 7 connect to the showhome app, and none of the respond to the app even though they show up. I'm returning everything to home depot. This is such a disappointment now that I have to remove them from my house. Total garbage.

    Overall, pleased with app. However, would like the ability to select 2 color or 3 color settings (white and red). Not to happy with the white colors, nothing actually matches or even gets close to traditional white. Other apps have these features and more white options.

    Getting the Bluetooth to connect seems to be a failure, the app is terrible to navigate, and the permissions are VERY inappropriate. But we got the lights to work from an iPhone and they're pretty awesome. Home Depot - for $50 per strand of lights you need to do better. Fix this garbage app before next year.

    This product was absolutely horrible. I'm returning five strands to Home Depot. the first ran work great. The second strand work for about 1 minute until we tested to see which strand was what number on the app. After that it stopped working totally. Returning for full refund. Do not use this app and do not buy this product.

    I was very excited to get these lights and try them out. . . tried running them on a moto z3 with Bluetooth 5.0 with the lights less than 3 ft from my phone i spent several hours and every combination of fixes to try and get them to work, to no avail. I advise looking at a different brand of app controlled lights

    Frustrating connection loss, had to uninstall, unplug and start over because it stopped recognizing my string. I thought it was working great! Come home from work and my light show was running! But in retrospect I think someone else may have been connected?

    I have yet to be lucky enough to have the App work for my lights. The App recognizes the lights but goes no further. Multiple attempts made to troubleshoot the App, including removal and a new download. Will be returning the lights the App operates as they are useless without the App.

    Was hoping the update would fix the issues. I have a hard time to get it to do anything. Wont turn colors or anything. All you can really do is set it for show one two and three. Thats it. Please fix. I bought 13 packs of lights. Lights are great and pretty but app unusable.

    I have had the lights for a little over 6 months. in order to get the app to work you have to practically be standing on top of lights. Timer doesn't work well. I would have been better off buying regular lights and putting on an outdoor timer. Way to expensive of lights for such a poor app.

    Plug and play, no issues connecting and the lights seem high quality. My only complaint is that you can't have different settings for different products. For instance, I also have the spotlights and unless I'm missing something there's no way to set them to a different color than the string lights.

    The last update fixed all the issues from previous one for me. Everything connects (and shows its connected) and everything seems to work. Interface still could be better. I don't like how I have to cycle through colors and effects rather than just selecting the ones I want on.

    Giving this app a raiting of liked it but the app needs work. The information is small hard to read on the controller and is not sharp. The light show is nice and playing around with setting is very easy to figure out. Fix the app and my raiting will increase.. over all loved the app..

    I'm not sure what's with all the bad reviews I bought these and ya they are a little pricey but the app connected up so fast I didn't even know it linked them until it was already going. I wish the app had a little better settings like controlling the speed at which they blink and stuff but really it's not a big deal it works good so I cant complain

    App doesn't connect to product. Even though it's right beside me. Checked specifications on bluetooth requirements and I meet the requirements. Was excited for this but now I'm just disappointed and going to have to return it. You think it'd work for a $50 product.

    I have 71 strands connected and I am absolutely and completely impressed with this product. I'm shocked to hear negative reviews with this product as it completely lives up to what it says it can do. I turn on and off all 71 strands with a push of a button as well as change up the light shows as I lay on the couch and watch football LOL absolutely amazing product highly recommend I have a Samsung Galaxy 9 note and have had absolutely zero issues with this product.

    purchased what i though was great idea for fun outside lights, but turned on inside house to test, cannot connect to then from App. Bought 3 sets none of them connect, if it was just one could understand but all 3. And i was going to buy 6 or 7 sets for front and back yard.

    Latest update broke the lights. On both my phone (moto g4) and my wifes phone (moto g6). The lights fail to connect and we have no control over the lights. Sometimes her phone is able to make a single change, then stops. When it was working i wish i could chamge the colour on lights by selecting a color directly, not with a wheel. Edit: the Jan 16th update added a nice little tutorial, but didn fix the fact the app is broken and my lights dont work and wont connect.

    First, permissions are excessive. Deny them and when you try to open the app you get Chinese characters and OK/Cancel. Who wants to OK that? My wife accepted them on her phone but is having fits getting the app to do anything consistently. It worked at first, got worse and now it's useless. Part of the problem seems to be trying to set a password. We turn the lights off/on, unplug/replug them, restart Bluetooth, restart the app and still no luck. Website is useless. Planning to take the lights back at this point.

    This app requests way too much access for the function it's performing. The connection is finicky from >1ft, pairing drops out all the time and you have to trust the device to enable starting Bluetooth on your phone without your permission.

    Necessary to program your spiffy new lights. Minus one star for bad user interface, reminescent of skinned music players from the '00s (winamp!). Text is too small to read. Minus two more stars because it 1) asks for location permission and 2) refuses to run without enabled

    I Bought the C6 lights on an after Christmas sale at Home Depot .. Pros: -Easily hangable around my door way which was the intention. -Good bright light from the bulbs. -Small footprint of app on my phone. ( LG Tribute Dynasty with all software updates) -Most recent update solved connectivity issue. Cons: - In App .. specifically on the "Mode" dial.. is WAY TOO SMALL.. actually had to seriously focus my vision ( or use a magnifying glass) to see what mode is what. - In App... when launching the app .. it doent seem to 'remeber' what color the lights are set to.. App shows 'default' ( for me ) to Orange.. while it doesnt change the color of the lights to the 'default' it would be nice to have the color that the lights are set to .. to be the the one that shows when launching the app .. - Light String issue .. the "brick " at the end of the string seems WAY TO big for its purpose.. there are bluetooth earpieces for phone that are MUCH smaller( obviously) .. and tough to hide .. this is a minor issue just have to be a bit creative as to placement. -Light String issue... would be nice to be able to remove the "bulb covers"

    This app worked for like a day. Now on and off works sometimes. Once in awhile you can change the lights but only half the options work. This is a terrible product. It doesnt seem to be working for anybody out there.

    So the app does not show one device connected. However I can turn the light power on and off. Stays in demo mode, no other functions work. Needs to be updated. Works great on my wife's iphone8+. I have a Note 8.

    The app works fine but it does not have an option to set a schedule. There's is a timer to turn itself off. Although there is no option to set a schedule, my lights did turn themselves on today. Not sure why it did that or how it was able to.

    Not as configurable as you might expect. App does not work on all phones. Very few, I would guess. Tried to use on old phone now that phone continually tries to pair after removing the app.

    very disappointed. hooked up the lights. downloaded the app. the system worked 2 days. now I cant control the lights and the 4 strand are all doing something different. one strand only works on half. gone on the roof 3 times to fix. should have just bought regular lights.

    Worst app ever. Laser projecter can not be found and when it does connect does not register as a device. Can't control it at all with this app. I could go on as to this apps uselessness but here it is all in one word... Worthless!!

    Just appalling, $50 for garbage, blu tooth is recognized in the settings site on the phone, but not by the app. Returning and recommending to management at my local Home Depot to pull from the shelves due to the horrible performance reflected by this product. Oh, both phones I attempted to use this with are top of the line, Pi & Oreo with 4.0 or better blu tooth on board. The app and device are just garbage. If I could give 0 stars I would. Buyer beware. The phones were sitting right on top of the device as well, could not get any closer without being merged into one object.

    I got the light ball,and downloaded this app as directed. the present holiday lights work,but can't keep a steady color,speed,or effect. no wonder it was on sale at Home Depot! regretting my purchase after minutes of use...

    This is garbage bought 3 of them and plugged in would connect to all three but could not change any settings or colors. Using Galaxy note 9. I then decided to try with my iPad Air 2 and it connected and worked fine.

    Absolutely terrible app, does not work....have Bluetooth 4.2, but app saying the Bluetooth signal is weak even though it is less than a foot away from the device.....total junk for $89. Going to return today and let everyone at home Depot not to buy cheap China product.

    I don't understand all the negative reviews on this product. I bought over 400 dollars on all of it and no issues at all. I think the app has frozen up twice but that's all. Super happy with product, not so much price:(

    Was looking at the lights and figured I'd try the app out. Very poor customization options, especially for the cost. Also, app harvests location info and sends it off to the developer.

    The app is asking for access to files, images and media. This is not something the app should be asking for. Location permission makes sense since it is needed for the Bluetooth connection on Android software.

    read the reviews and tested at first, all worked well, bought more lights, hung and set up, all lights worked the first 2 days and worked great... after that the lights didn't connect to my phone, tried disconnecting lights and connecting them back nothing

    App is utter trash. Worked fine for 3 days and all of a sudden refuses to connect. Tried it on 2 different devices. should have checked the app before I wasted my money buying their Chinese garbage product. Guess I'll be returning it to Home Depot.

    Since the last update I only get about half of the functions to work on the c6 string lights. The bulb icon does not light up and I can only change the show1 and 2 and 3. Please fix Thank you, Can I get the previous version of the app?

    App to control lights needs access to my GPS, read/modify my SD contents....i don't think so!!. Like the lights and the app isn't that bad. However I'm returning to Home Depot and writing a complain to the manufacturer!

    app shows connected to my 3 strings but doesn't control anything. I'm so sad because this is such a great idea. I hope they fix the app soon.

    like other reviews it worked for a few days and have not been able to reconnect. it's stuck on the last setting i set it to no wonder it was 1/2 price.
