Does what you need it to do simply, efficiently and securely. Loses 1 star because it could be better Integrated into Solid Explorer than it is (scrolling to the bottom of the app menu and selecting a folder to share, then starting the server is cumbersome and would be better implemented by choosing to share folders from the local operations menu) but it's a godsend for transferring files to and (more significantly) from my phone.

Reviewers who say you cannot upload or delete are incorrect. You can do both of these actions from any computer-based file explorer. For example, in Windows Explorer, simply type "ftp://" followed by your server address.

Not working in tethered hotspot. Installed it in my phone and "toggled access point", it started phone hotspot, connected android tablet with my phone but this plugin didn't generated any address, says "No Address (WiFi disabled)". Though it turned on the hotspot itself. And I connected my tablet with it which also have 'Solid Explorer' installed, I tried to set-up cloud connection>FTP there, but not getting FTP address in my phone. Please help!!

It God darn works perfectly... Awesome and very simple way to upload and download files. Simple setup if you know what you want to connect, make sure ports are not blocked by your router and it's secure. At least you know the SD permissions are right. Better off using their generic anonymous ftp than one with more features and unpatched or broken SD card permissions. SE just works, does everything you need it to - and then some. If you're having trouble, under ftp server (bottom of the left menu), at the upper-right dot menu, "Change Directory", then select your SD card base directory, which is what's currently in your face (which is how one allows such permissions in Marshmallow these days - adopted storage should give you no problems). Then you'll be back at the same big start button to start the ftp server: Push it. You should have no trouble now. You probably will have had to show that permission for SE generally in the first place. I have another more full featured ftp app which doesn't work nearly as well. And it never bothered to work out its SD permissions, unlike SE, bless 'em!

I can't choose "/storage" directory. Solid explorer classic can change using "/storage" directory to manage multiple storage that i'm regularly using it without configure which folder that i want to accessing it, the only little problem is no custom user available, just password , i think i will stick with classic

Does not work on wired connection (some people have android no only on phone). Competitor software (ES) ftp server works flawlessly on wired connection. Installing separate app for ftp server function is frustrating (hope that file copy function will remain inside in feature versions). Last issue is related to gdrive why I cannot connect to gdrive not from account registered in my OS???

It crashes during transfer of huge files. You can't freely move between internal & external storage on your phone, you have access to only one of them (not both together at same time)
