Reviews From google play store

Just updated my app, and I lost most of my activity history-my run from today was recorded, and the next was from 2016. I Am VERY disappointed since I have been using this app since 2014. I ALWAYS refer to my past runs to track my progress. If I cannot have them restored, then I have no longer have use for this app. I have submitted a request to Support. We will see were this leads.

Edit: They've removed Runtastic Web Features . Without it I can't create new routes. I'm a paying customer who now gets less while still paying the same. Edit 2: I've decided I won't be continuing with my premium subscription. I hope they'll bring back the website in the future. Until then I'm deleting my account and moving my fitness tracking and data to another service.

Old: GPS Issues. NRC has guided runs. Edit: GPS issue seems to have been rectified, though it still misses a bit and records only 97% of the run. But am happy with it. I especially like the Story Run idea. Loved the concept. Different from the playlist I am used to listening while running. The voiceover and music have a distinct pace making you adjust your pace. The new UI is much better and has a more polished feel compared to the old one. Kudos Team Runtastic!

Hi, I got this app to do my walking and sprinting, mainly to reduce my weight. It was good on first sight, but one doubt I have is - does it track actual calories? I mean, I sprint in 'walking' mode and it shows 70 cals burnt per km. And if I walk in Running mode it shows 120 cals burnt per km. Should that be calibrated better?

I use runtastic since 2017, I don't know what happened but since the change in name it has become almost useless, the distance tracking terrible, it loses almost 10% of distance covered every time, I start the session and when it ends I see that the GPS has put my starting point even 500 meters ahead of the real starting place, it keeps losing track etc, if things do not get fixed fast I will have to find a better tracker

Even though I'm a paying customer, it won't let me confirm my email address. So every time I login it asks me to confirm, but I can't! On top of that when I use intervals, it keeps telling me that I'm within my Target Pace over and over and over... Even though I have the voice command for target pacing turned off within the settings for interval workouts. So annoying!

It's a great app. What limits my experience is the fact that there is no in-app social media. Since I'm not on Facebook, I do not have any friends who use runtastic.. it would have been fun to connect with local runners in my community through the app! Kindly take note of that, if possible :) And I completed the Run with us challenge, will I get A premium membership now? Please tell coz I need it. Because I can't buy it because I'm poor. Thanks.

The voice coach starts glitching within 2 minutes to starting my run repeating a bunch of random things, I have to turn it off and keep looking at my phone in order to know when to run/walk/stop. Probably won't continue with the premium version if this issue continues as it seems detrimental to my progress if I continually have to check my phone every other minute

I love using this app for my walking. I never really run I mostly brisk power walk but this encourages me to keep going. I love the challenges that they have and I love that I dont have to look down to see where I'm at as far as calories, distance, pace etc it will tell me by voice through my headphones. I use this along with my fitbit gps

App worked well before the adidas update, it appears LIVE tracking posting to facebook feed doesnt work anymore? On top of that when trying to submit a request in the help and support area i get stuck in a sign in loop where it wont let me sign in...lame.

Why did this version remove the capability to create a shareable photo of your running path WITHOUT the street names. It was there in the previous version. This was really useful when wanting to post your achievement on public profiles but wanting to hide address details for safety matter. Please get that BACK! And also add the option to save the same photo directly to Gallery.

completely wrong records: they differ in emails and in app and also wrong by simple values (support could not solve that problem). unfriendly interface. now with web version down the only reason to use is gather Adidas runners stars, all statistics graphics and other features are better in other applications. No standard gpx data export. No normal notification managing

Exelent App. I am using this since 2016. Only one issue I am facing now a days that the app gets disconnected in between long run n after resuming it will not resume automatically, it asks whether u want to resume the run or want to restart. It was not happening till last year. Please look into this issue.

After @adidas has taken over #Runstatic app, it's diagnostic has become poor.. App doesn't show correct stats.. It stops in between, and then ask for recovery of session.. But then data is wrong... This prob was not earlier

Wonderful app with excellent GPS tracker... Tried many apps none worked as good as this.... Most of them stopped functioning inside the waist pouch while running every now and then and nothing like this happened with runtastic.... In non paid section please improve your statistics data.... Only that seems to be the improvement required as of now...

So I got introduction to Runtastic when Adidas basically "messed" up all smartrun watch buyers who paid an exorbitant amount of 💰! 450 pounds to be precise. And discontinued support for it as a paperweight. Now Runtastic does it to Steps ! And I am sure they will change the subscription model to something else and make the ones who paid a lot of money redundant! I shall make sure I never expend a single penny on Adidas products as they can change their strategy and leave us in a lurch!

Overall good app for running. Thought is changed its owner from Ru ntastic to addidas but the functionality remained almost the same. I can recommend this app as it is also useful for other sports, like cycling, walking, even swimming.

About 20% of my runs are not showing up on the news feeds. I have also noticed on my watch that when I click done it just spins. Very frustrating.

Love this app for walking and cycling. It's precise, detailed maps all my routes perfectly. Most importantly it's my motivator and personal coach!! Have cycled and walked for 1 hour every day since getting this app.

Super convenient to gauge my time and distance. Would be nice if it had timers for distance in meters. Like a 200m timer similar to the way it does each mile.

I can't update my profile every time i try it tells me there was a problem. Also i had this app on my old phone and i tried to log in on my new phone and it wouldn't let me either so know i have a whole new profile and and all my old progress lost....i don't like that.

Wonderful app, best running app I've found. My only suggestion is perhaps to have options about what the update lady says while running. I'd highly recommend this app if you need some motivation to get running and push yourself. Will be buying pro when I can afford it!

The voice coach should be customizable. It talks too much. Also other audio should be paused when it talks. I don't want to miss a paragraph of my audiobook because I finished a lap.

Don't install this app for the voice coach but everything else works perfectly. Not only does it track (down to the second) the time you actually spent running Vs walking but it also tracks the calories accurately. The save your running shoes is pretty cool too.

I don't have anything to compare this to, however it works for me. Only wish it had the Australian woman's voice. Logs my workouts adequately. Gives mile and 1/2 mile split times. I like it.

A great app. I have been using it daily to track my fitness progress. Since the launch of fit india movement this year by the govt of India, I think this app will serve as a trusted ready reckoner and an enthusiasm booster for budding as well as pro athletes!

Keeps track of my run.. Gives me all the stats including ones I didn't know I wanted to know. Remember to disable the battery saving settings on your phone when using this app and exclude it from the settings that close down open apps after a while.

I used this app since it was Runtastic on iOS and love it, on android, at end of the run it takes over 10 minutes to try to end the run with the lock icon becomes so unresponsive adding time to the run.

While trying to sign up it says account already exists for the entered email id. And if I try to reset the password then the mail to reset password never arrives. I have already tried 2 different email ids and faced same problem with both of them.

I love using this app however lately I have noticed that it loses track especially when there is no internet connection although the GPS is on. Please assist with this asI don't want to have to change apps as I love adidas Runtastic

Very happy with this app. You get a lot of features in the free version. I know Adidas gets invaluable data for R&D and marketing, but this app is so good that I won't grouse too much.

Have used runtastic app few years earlier..the n newer version has a better UI.. I only had issues in selecting the finish button which requires to first select unlock and then slide. Overall good experience

The GPS is not that accurate, tried this and strava at the same time but there is a big gap in the pace and the distance.

I've been using this app for 9 months and my fitness, enjoyment of running and wellbeing have all improved and it's great for monitoring and tracking progress

I like the app, but there is an annoying trivial bug. I can't set any shoes as my default. I have to edit every run synced from my garmin watch and assign the shoes. I'll rate 5 after it gets fixed!

An issue with the app where distance before pause is not added to distance after resume. Otherwise its fine. New update did not solve the problem.

Tried the full app... Disappointing as it says you are on target pace, but not when you are not, or how far off target... A lot of money for not a lot more

Amazing aap for runners. It can be more clear if you include lap time for 100 m, 200 m, 400 m and so on .

Amazingly intuitive, practical, easy to use, accurate enough, enjoyable to a fault with its friends support features and a generally very well thought out app without being bloated with nuisance.

Love being able to listen to my music app within this running app. Let's you clearly track distance, pace and calories burned. Nice!

If you are waiting for a good tracking app just go for it . It's very helpful for me for accurate tracking

Used to be good. Last run was awfully wrong. The app tracked a 6km run when it should have been 8km. Had no problems with the exact same track before the update.

I enjoyed Runtastic to track walking. Then they changed the name, and I uninstalled it without knowing I was uninstalling Runtastic. Thank goodness it kept my history when I reinstalled it.

RT used to be a great app... Now is just a regular one! The social piece remains great stuff!

App is getting constantly killed in oneplus 6t. Not able to track workout property because of this issue. Please fix

Very fluid, works nicely. Except the GPS in mt area tend to suck so it's not flawless, but I thought it's their fault. Minus one star for selling out.

I use the free version and i love it! Has everything I need, easy to use, and no issues.

Unintuitive pause/finish button when done running. You guys designed it like a hold and slide button but actually it's a double press one. I lost my precious time count because of this confusion

Easy to use UI. Plenty of activity tracking. Fun contests to enter. I use it for my running and walking activities

Can't reset my password after the change of the app... keeps on saying oops somthing went wrong try again when trying to update password via the email.... so frustrating can't even login now

Good app, but since Adidas took over there are all these updates with no changelog... There's a reason for the "What's new" section. I don't trust like that.

I have been using this app since 2014 and it's great ! There is a lot of options that u will need to check and explore yourselves. I definitely recommend it 😉

Super disappointed. Paid $49 for an annual subscription and then runtastic discontinued the features I bought it for the following week. Still struggling to track a run. Can't synch with Google fit and, the primary reason I bought it, no web interface which is why I bought the app. Tried to follow the "contact support" suggestion in the developer reply and got this "Please note that we do not supply personalized answers if you submit an idea or give feedback" Not Helpful

It lets you track the Distance, calorie, pace and the time taken to complete the run with GPS map what else you need it for free I am loving this app

Pro version did not work after update. Told to install free runtastic. Does not work right. No live tracking or distance tracking. Need a fix. (Uninstalled and reinstalled did not work) Had to uninstall Pro & Free, reboot phone an install Free, reboot phone and seems to be working now. So much for buying Pro all those years ago. Enjoyed it. If the Free will work I will give it a 5 star rating. Walking with two programs now to find the best that will work all the time. New update. Will find not by

I run a 1000 miles a year and really like this app. Helps me track my shoes as well. Pretty decent stats to help me plan my month and week. Highly recommended

Bad app evolution. Used to be good to track sport activities, so I've bought Pro. At first step counter was removed, I was told by runtastic support" due to issue with some mobiles". Now you've stop the web, so I cant't import/export my sessions anymore! I was hoping for improvements so long, that I am really thinking about to move to other application. Dear runtastic, pls. export all my sessions to zip file (e.g. as gpx) and mail it to me. At least you could show some respect to old user.

Excellent app. The only thing I miss is the possibilty to open/explore the map of the different activities in the feed. sometimes I even can see only a map with the roads without names and only the name of one street without any information about the main town in the nearby. This feature I'm missing would be a great improvement, in my opinion! hope it helps :) cheers

Loved the app the first 2 day. After that any time i try to log my activities, if i close the app anything i did that day is earased. I should have had 3 jogs recorded last week and there are only 2. Not to mention the one i did this morning to start a new week. Still only says that i have only wver done 2 jogs. Being a visual person, the statistics for me is very important in keeping me morivated. ( just use google fit now...had already sent an email before i posted a review)

When I strarted to use Runtastic in 2012 you had the best service with route planning, web based analytics after the workout, etc. Now you killed the web ui and I cant even check my heart rate after workout in the mobile app?!? Strava evolved so much in the meantime so they now have all the functions you had back then already. I just cannot understand, why did you choose to evolve backwards...? What is the point? Anyway goodbye and thanks for the fishes.

Excellent app... Premium features are not free and price for premium is expensive.... For basic running and gps tracking are excellent...

Ever since Runtastic switched to Adidas Running, it simply will not track my location well. Lags then warps to where I am.

A good app. Still my go to for fitness activities. I'm disappointed at the closure of the web portal. There's way to go yet with the app based system. Suggestion: it would be really cool to be able to "tag" runtastic friends, so that the exercise appears in their activities too. It's good to run with friends and chat, and it would mean only one person runs with a device active.

I really like this app for running. The app tells you your distance, total time, and pace at each mile which I really like because it lets me know if I need to speed up or slow down a bit. The maps and post-run pace and elevation info are great too. Because you can add notes, it almost turns into a little running log book where you can keep up with what is working and what is not. The challenges are nice, just to see yourself working toward small goals.

I'm changing my review to 1 star. The closure of the Web part of the product is much more disruptive than I anticipated. They should everything down! I cannot even export maps, stats or activities. As Stefano mentioned, json files are incompatible with any other website. Absolutely useless. Unfortunately, the product is now barely usable and I'll move to competition. Such a shame.

I absolutely love the app. Very user friendly and the stats are highly accurate. Extremely satisfied!!

It was a decent app until they removed their companion website. The mobile app just doesn't give me everything I want. I only use the mobile app to record runs. I used to enter other types of workouts and review my training from the website. The worst part is they removed the website with no warning. I would have at least printed off all my old workouts if I had known. Now I'm just left with unusable exported data. Basically all my workout history is gone. Very displeased.

It's just not a great running app, which is sad because the miCoach app it got rid of was really good, and many of the features it had 10 yrs ago are still unavailable. There are many shortcomings with this app. First, telling you average pace during your run is not helpful at all. I can do simple math. I'd like realtime info. Also, just telling you when you're in your target zone is almost useless. It should be able to tell you to speed up or slow down to get into that zone. Many others as well

Love this app. Been using it since Dec. 2018 and I started on walking and it's nice to see my improvement each day and went up to doing a run now. It's also good on no signal area. As long as the route am taking starts with a signal and ends with a signal it still keep track of my route on no signal area. Love it!!

Not just a training app. I've used this app when on vacation throughout Europe and UK. Many unfamiliar outback walks and strange Towns & Cities and never got lost. At the end of the day you are amazed at what you have done. Don't forget to turn it off. I left it on for 60 hrs; its amazing how many calories you burn sitting in a coach.

I'm not a big fan of giving bad reviews but you deserved it Runtastic. Back in the days when i purchased your pro version i really enjoyed the functionality you had. I loved the idea of planning my routes on PC. Never liked Strava for that. But now Strava is progressing while you are going downhill. They added routes plannig ability to their website, while you killed this feature and killed your website completely. Good luck in your app-only world. It might be good for some runners. But i am out.

This application has brought a kind of revolution in my life. I have always been too lazy to run. My thing used to be brisk walking. Now I run. The mose effective part of this app is that it offers plans and training wherein it teaches you how to run (it's paid but undoubtedly worth it). The audio coach guides you in workout as to when to stop and when to run. My running stamina has increased to around 5 times more within ten days. It's been the best purchase! Thank you, Developers! 💪💪💪🤝

Best tracking app I have used. Bad: Frustrating that some activities don't get synced and as a result I "miss" some challenges. Feature request: A 3 second countdown during interval training instead of the current default of hearing a 4 countdowns (30s, 20s, 10s and 3s) before an interval closes. I find that distracting, especially when I have music playing in the background because it stops when the voice comes on and kind of takes you out of the "zone".

I have tried some similar app, but finally I chose Runtastic. I think runtastic is the most complete app. I have used Runtastic (main app), Mountain bike Runtastic and push up, sit up, pull up, squat Runtastic app as well since 2013. And now you evolve become Adidas Runtastic. I love your new look, but are those side apps still work? Is this new look (name) app still connect to Relive app?

Cost of Premium subscription seen to be very high. But free subscription itself has sufficient tools to monitor.

Very good app. However it get auto paused during activity. Could you please check.

It used to work great. Recently, whenever i start the app, the time starts ticking but the distance starts getting recorded only after about a mile. I thought it was some problem with my phone but nope other running apps work great. Also, in my friend's phone we found this same issue. Both of our phones were not in power saving mode. Response to reply: After 2 updates, it started to work well. In future I'll send mail to the id regarding bugs

Great app. I tried three or four different apps before this one to track my runs and my GPS location kept getting lost with each of them. This is the only one that has been consistently reliable. Love the progress updates after each KM which helps keep me focused. Only reason I've given four stars and not five is the cost of the premium feature. Would love to try but even the monthly rate is a tad steep. Despite this, would recommend to any runner.

It a very good app. The only drawback is that it cannot connect with xiaomi band 4.

Use to love this app, even more so that it synced with my Garmin watch. Had the Pro version and a premium member. However, It no longer syncs properly with Garmin, I've messaged then and sent feedback with no response and the issue continues. Shame really. Now there is no longer a website to use. Also unable to connect Google account. This app just continues to go down hill.

I've been using this for a while and this is probably the most useful & accurate sport tracking app. I don't know if it's my gps, my phone or the app but sometimes my route isn't accurate and shortened everyday even tho i've always been in the same route. I was really frustrated when i came back after exercising & the app didn't count all of it. & btw i put my phone in my pocket, it might be because it's accidentally pressed but i'll definitely be glad if you could add a touch lock. Thanks!

Great if you use it for exercises! Especially if you take track/cross country

Very unresponsive (some screens take 1-2 secs to load) CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-core 14nm processor, 8* 2.0 GHz. RAM: 4GB GPU: Adreno 506 Android: 8.0

Just finished 1.5 mile workout. This new version of the app said I did 2/10th of a mile. Had issues with older version not correctly reporting speed or distance. UPDATE! Realized new Android version set this app to optimized power. Switched it off and it works flawless so far. Updated rating to 4 stars as it is new version and needs testing.

Really great to track my running. And awesome breakdown on each entry. Would definitely recommend

worked fine until an update now the GPS is wont link. ran miles just for it to record .15

What has happened to this once-wonderful app? I have used Runtastic for many years without issues. As of the past week, two of my regular spots record .5 of a mile, instead of correctly recording approximately 1.5 miles. No coverage issues. No issues in the past. Suddenly Runtastic isn't reliably tracking my distance. How frustrating. Actively trying similar/other apps for a replacement to Runtastic :(

inconsistent tracking. I run the same exact route all the time and record 1 mile at time and the elevation gains and losses will vary from 30ft to 48ft even though it's the same route. the distance will jump from 0.97 miles to 1.00 miles or adding seconds while recording no distance, so I can't get a accurate mile. the average pace and max speed were faster on my 7:34 mile than my 7:27. makes no sense.

I am a premium member and have used Runtastic for many years. I feel that losing the website is a mistake. I liked using the download feature as I often uploaded cycling activities to Strava. This feature is now unavailable. I also train for adventure races and do a lot of transitions between trail running and cycling during the one training session. It would be great to be able to analyze these activities seperately after training. I currently log these activities as back country sking 🙃

I started with Adidas Micoach app. It was good but I transit to Runtastic bcos they bought it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Now ever since the closure of the Web functions, I cannot even see how many 21kms I have run thus far for the past 7 yrs and can't even see who gave me cheers. If it is what u guys keep saying, "to better focus on improving the app" , then please incorporate the Web functions back into the app! Thanks.

I use this to track my running daily. It is accurate and reliable. I enjoy the interface, it is intuitive and easy to use. I also enjoy the challenges that it affords occasionally. I have never paid for the premium service though. I would definitely recommend that someone who is interested in running give it a shot.

Horrible delivery on closing the website portion. Locking me out of statistics and basically holding 4 years of data hostage since it can only be exported in json files, which are useless to migrate to other apps. at this point the app is virtually useless, all my data is as good as gone, since accessing it from the app is just an absurdly tedious process. In one day you went from best app around, to most useless and dishonest around... congrats.

Voice coach started having a problem telling me to hold my speed about three to four times per minute. During a 30-minute run this is about a hundred times of being told to hold your speed. I emailed Runtastic a few times and it took them weeks to respond. Finally they emailed me back and said they can't fix the problem. They didn't say they're working on it and they didn't want the recording that I had made of the issue they just said that they can't fix it. Terrible customer service!

Amazing, no purchase required, but for some running lessons you can pay as low as 97 cents! And there is no ads in your face. Also they ask your permission to use your location "live" meaning they show other people that you are running and where, and I love how you can deny that feature and still use your location to track your distance privatly. The reason I love that is because with other running and fitness apps, you can't deny it and bad people can find you or hurt you that way.

It's really cool app 👌. Helping me alot to improve my plans for running and challenges. Great app.

Not able to track my run. Before upgrade it was working fine. Disappointed with new update.

Thus App is too rigid. There's only training programs for beginners, to lose weight, get in shape, or to do marathon. There are no programs to run longer, farther or faster: things that would assume runners would want to do. Plus the initial setup is stuck in imperial measurements mode even though the app supports metric.

Hello! Love Runtastic but one thing for me is missing. Build in a music player. It is nice to choice my own music player but every time when I want to start jogg I have to first go to my music player choice my Playlist play it, then come back to the Runtastic app and click start exercise. It is very annoying to me. If 'Nike run club' app can play your music when you start your exercise why Runtastic cannot?

This is a great app for running and hiking, I only wish that elevation would be one of the things that would be displayed during the workout as well as elevation summary. And not just after. Also starting the workout from Android Wear uses the watch heart rate, but finishing a long workout hangs the app. Would like to start from phone, but still use wear heart rate measuring.

Doesn't sync with Google fit. Fixed the issue with not recording but unable to port data across to Google. Needs sorting. Thanks for your generic response, I've deleted the app, not continuing to waste my time on a product that can't do what it's supposed to do.

Allows the app to get your approximate location. This location is derived by location services using network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine approximately where you are.

precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

view network connections
Allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.

view Wi-Fi connections
Allows the app to view information about Wi-Fi networking, such as whether Wi-Fi is enabled and name of connected Wi-Fi devices.

Allows the app to view the configuration of the Bluetooth on the phone, and to make and accept connections with paired devices.

access Bluetooth settings
Allows the app to configure the local Bluetooth phone, and to discover and pair with remote devices.

retrieve running apps
Allows the app to retrieve information about currently and recently running tasks. This may allow the app to discover information about which applications are used on the device.

full network access
Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

run at startup
Allows the app to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the phone and allow the app to slow down the overall phone by always running.

record audio
Allows the app to record audio with the microphone. This permission allows the app to record audio at any time without your confirmation.

draw over other apps
Allows the app to draw on top of other applications or parts of the user interface. They may interfere with your use of the interface in any application, or change what you think you are seeing in other applications.

use accounts on the device
Allows the app to request authentication tokens.

control vibration
Allows the app to control the vibrator.

prevent phone from sleeping
Allows the app to prevent the phone from going to sleep.
