Take Runtastic out for a run

Runtastic Pro Running Fitness acts as your real-time, updated and dedicated personal trainer, by tracking your jogging, walking, cycling, running or any choice of your fitness activity. You can share your sports activities, discover new running routes and reach exercise goals.
Runtastic captures all the basic data you'd expect from a fitness tracking app: distance, average speed, speed between mile markers, elevation, pace, pace between mile markers, duration, calories burned, and route as plotted on a map using GPS, which you can optionally disable to save battery.
Open and launch right into your activity by hitting the "Session" tab. To the left is an icon indicating which activity is selected. Tap it and you can change to any exercise from inline skating to simply walking.
When you finish your run, kayak ride, cross-country ski route or any other fitness exercise the app opens to a page where you can log additional details about the weather, surface (i.e., pavement, wooded trails, gravel), your mood, and anything else you want to record in a notes field. You can mark injuries, days with lower scores or slower paces.
Pro version features multilingual voice feedback (including English, German, Spanish, French and Italian), live tracking, route search and share - you can find routes other users have mapped -, pulse reading and heart rate zones (COMPATIBLE HEART RATE MONITOR IS NEEDED), an integrated music player with ‘power songs’, pre-programmed workouts, intervals and competitions. Also available is the auto-pause, so Runtastic Pro will account for stops and red lights, which comes hand for urban outdoor activities.

Now it's marked as 'No longer available'. But I think I found it's replacement: "adidas Running App by Runtastic - Running Tracker". I was frustrated that I bought the pro version of the app and now they only offer subscriptions. But it looks like my account was given pro level access. Very pleased about that.

Tried to login with my old account, app directed me to reset my password. I got the link to reset password, when tried to reset password link just started refreshing automatically and didn't allow to reset my password. This was an absolute crazy experience. Have uninstalled the app.

  3. Tom Gregory-avatar

Terrible app overall - ran 10k today and despite the app saying 50 minute journey, as well as the location being turned on, no distance was recorded.... waste of money

  4. Val Gore-avatar

It doesn't work anymore, switching off right away I launch an activity session.

  5. Sar Ka-avatar

well good app but only when working. It find my GPS location without problem but problem is when it start tracking. Just do not follow GPS signal and it is not tracking.

  6. Julian Becker-avatar

I really tried it, but this app is always losing GPS-signal while other tracking apps like Endomondo or Google Fit work perfectly fine. I think I'm going to turn this down and go back to another provider. By the way, the pro version isn't actually the premium version. you still need to pay to get a premium account. I don't recommend the app for getting reliable data around your running performance.

  7. megan scruton-avatar

I have used Runtastic on my phone for 5 years now, and it has always worked really well. I'm so dissapointed that it will not work on my Fossil Q watch, despite that it is supposed to be compatible with WearOS. Although support has returned my emails promptly, the suggestions have not worked. Great app if you're taking along your phone, so far a bust on the watch.

  8. Nadine Scholze-avatar

i really used to love this app and I've been using it for years. lately, however, the gps does not function anymore. i can't see my progress anymore as all I get is "0.00 kilometers". i did not change the route I'm running and the gps on my phone works perfectly fine with every other app. it's super super disappointing and i would highly appreciate if you could fix that or tell me what to do.

  9. A Google user-avatar

5 bucks for a couple more features, only for not seeing ads pasted all over the screen every 5 seconds? And "get premium" "get premium" "get premium" pasted all over menus? Every time you open the darn thing, get premium is pasted over your screen a few times! This is ridiculous. I haven't requested a refund only because I need it. Looking for replacement. Fu..s up my supposed birthday, too. I set it a million time, and it fu..s it up. I'm smart enough to use correct year and bogus date, folks.

Runtastic PRO is functional - the GPS tracking, statistical information and social leaderboard aspects all work as intended. However, I'm thoroughly disappointed that a number of former PRO features, features like a customisable voiced coach, which I paid a one-time fee to take advantage of, have been pared down and locked behind an additional Premium paywall. This, coupled with the constant pop-up ads for Premium, have made it very difficult to justify paying for PRO over the free version of the app.

The latest update has problems even qith gps tracking. It used to work beautifully but now ir just sucks

  12. David Borowitz-avatar

Bait and switch. I bought this app because it is the only one I found that does both time and distance based intervals. After a few weeks of use they changed the app so that setting intervals requires a paid subscription. That would be fine for a free app, but this app already costs a fortune by app standards ($5).

  13. Karsten Strotmann-avatar

    Karsten Strotmann

First of all, Runtastic used to be a great app that I loved to use over the years. But now they changed their price policy and moved many of the features to the "Premium Membership" (to be paid monthly). Following features are missing in the Pro-version now: Dehydration - needs Premium Maximum elevation - needs Premium Challenge your own activity - needs Premium Auto pause activity - needs Premium It's a shame, because back in time I decided to pay for the Pro-version because I was willing to spend a certain amount of money exactly for those features. Now they cut those off. For this price policy I cut off all of their stars in the rating. If they had invented new features which they made exclusively for Premium, I would accept that, but just moving well proven old features to a new profit-system, that's not the nice way. When you decide to buy a certain set of features for a certain price, you expect to get what you paid for. Therefore I would now expect an upgrade to Premium.

  14. Dale Huhtala-avatar

Even after buying tge pro version, they still want me to pay for all kinds of things. Not cool. its difficult to navigate and set up intervals...very repetitive and takes too long. It wont let me use my Android Wear OS watch as a heart rate monitor thoigh i have Runtastic installed on my watch. The interval plan I set up on my phone won't run on the integration whatsoever here. Not impressed at all...

  15. Eugene Yeo-avatar

Great apps, used it for both cycling and running... Although it would be good if we can run multiple sessions at the same time... While pausing the others without stopping it. So I can track my cycling to a destination location, pause the cycling, and start a running session at that place, and resume my cycling back home, and all of them is tracked as different type of activity, but the cycling as one activity being paused in between another activity...

  16. John Anastasiadis-avatar

This is a very nice app overall. One thing that's really annoying though is that in most versions if the screen is locked tracking stops so you gotta keep your device on throughout the whole workout to be sure it's tracked. The other thing is the inability to change the number of values displayed. There could be 6 values instead of 4 and also a full screen of even more values w/o the map. I hope you consider these additions in the future updates.

  17. Brian Smith-avatar

Don't bother anymore. Been using this app for years and I liked it at first. Worked well, had good features. It started out ad free or at least minimal ads, now it spams me with upgrading to Premium. They add features that are rarely useful but cause app issues but I could go onto the website for a more robust experience. Not anymore! Used to be able to create and find new routes on the website. Only available on mobile yet the app crashes whenever I try to find a new route. Look elsewhere. Response to developer: Maybe the "experience will be worth it" one day but perhaps ensure that features worked properly on mobile before disabling web would have ensure my experience was great now. Too late; I've uninstalled.

  18. John Cruickshank-avatar

    John Cruickshank

Use to love this app but, even more so that it synced with my Garmin watch. However, It no longer does this, I've messaged then and sent feedback with no response and the issue continues. Shame really. Now there is no longer a website to use. Also unable to connect Google account. This app just continues to go down hill. That's everything you get for being a Premium user

  19. Philippa Bennett-avatar

    Philippa Bennett

Paid for Pro so i could get the plans. Weight loss plans don't include warm up or cool down time so you have to fumble about with stopping one activity and starting another. All the while my garmin watch is running so that in the end it uploads garmin AND the runtastic one, looking like you've done two work outs. When you're doing internals, doesn't tell you when you're half way so you have to remember to count, so you're not miles from home when you finish. No web support any more. Why ? It just makes me annoyed. The only reason i may continue to use it is because i'm tracking friends progress. Who, BTW have the same opinion as me. Absolutely not worth it. Will not be renewing.

  20. Sylvain Steen-avatar

Since last update of the app, the activity stops automatically after 30 sec on my ZTE Axon 7, although I have deactivated all power management features in android system. I didn't updated the OS, so there is definitively something broken in the app. It also often says that it loose GPS signal, whereas other apps have perfect GPS signal in the same place. The app probably read DOP (dilution of precision)signal the wrong way around (BTW, small number = good signal). It became unsuable, please fix ASAP!!! It was working great before...

  21. A Google user-avatar

after using this app for years without a glitch, after the new update if my screen locks the app turns off automatically in the middle of my run, when reopening the app it so to speak connects back to your current run, but it takes the shortest route so at the end of the run I'm missing a big chunk of it and the stats are wrong because of that, but the most annoying part is having to deal with reopening app while running. also connection issues, fix it....

  22. Christian Lacek-avatar

    Christian Lacek

Crashes more than every second run. It just shuts down without notifying me. After 10 minutes without voice notification I have to stop running to check what's going on and then restart the app. It offers the option to restore time and distance but obviously that's not very accurate unless your route is a straight line. Super disappointing, especially as this is one of the few paid apps I'm using...

  23. Vishal Pai-avatar

I have been using this app for months now. There is just one flaw which needs to be fixed. If the GPS signal goes low, often when you are running under trees , the activity goes dead without a warning and does not resume until manually started. TGIF it's very annoying and have word out my whole run at times.

  24. Justin Magner-avatar

Frustrated! GPS frequently cuts out while in the midst if my run for no apparent reason, and now a decent portion of my run isnt saved. I've had this issue with numerous generations of cell phones and despite the amount of time that has elapsed, the developers still have not been able to get it right. Other running apps that I own have no issue. I'm disappointed to have bought this app b/c the developers are lazy in getting these issues fixed. Id recommend purchasing a competitor running app.

  25. Alric Knebel-avatar

I have used this app for about four years now, but after I got a new phone--Huawei BND L34--I got an error message, telling me I had no data connection. So I simply bought the app again and installed it. The only problem I had was finding the settings that would allow the app to continue running in the lock screen. So I allowed the app permission to "run in the background." After that, when I pulled out my phone and unlocked the screen, the information was current, and I didn't have to wait for it to update. Now, all of my settings are the way I like them, just as they were before. I love this app. I have not had any of the problems I've seen other people discussing.

  26. A Google user-avatar

#Update: -2 stars because it always asks to "subscribe" to Premium. I do understand that adidas wants money. But I paid 5€ for Runtastic Pro. So, it shouldn't be notoriously asking ! Very nice app! Used it for several years until I switched to Garmin (because I didn't want to always carry my phone for runs). Still.... It's perfect, especially the leaderboard is fun

  27. A Google user-avatar

The app is not practical for someone who has a goal of tracking their total distance covered, 2min into the run it looses network... If you do not open the app at every intersection, with the hopes of updating your location, it will tell you that your total distance is less than a km. That's after you covered over 5km, at times it will vanish during your jog, nowhere to be found... I'm still searching for the best running app... This is not it... Waste of my money

  28. William McCann-avatar

Great app for runners i use this, MapMyRun and Fitbit, but always come back to Runtastic. i find that it is the simplest and yet most comprehensive app. It's not perfect ... sometimes it struggles with GPS more than other apps. And I can't figure out how to change from miles to kilometers. Still, it's the best that I've used.

  29. Cathal O'Gorman-avatar

    Cathal O'Gorman

This app used to be great. However, it no longer works; the GPS tracking is totally broken on my phone (GPS works fine with other apps in the same location). I went step by step through all the suggested troubleshooting steps, it made no difference. Without the GPS tracking, this app just isn't worth the cost.

  30. Robert Cutforth-avatar

    Robert Cutforth

Used to be great to use the app to log exercise then look at advanced stats on the website. Now that feature has gone. I'm off to another platform now. Very disappointed. Glad I didn't shell out for premium as I was about to. As for your reply, the link still doesn't resolve the issues that are now missing from runtastic.

  31. C. Michael Lance-avatar

    C. Michael Lance

Runtastic (Mountain Bike Pro) would be the best app out there if it supported wearables. It used to. I had one and it broke. Now I'm switching To Samsung Health, it supports a damn good wearable, its fitness watch. So now I get heart rate that I used to have with Runtastic but no longer get. And their calorie counter sucks. It only accounts for distance. You can ride the same route uphill, then downhill, and you get the same calorie count.

  32. Marcos Ramirez-avatar

I love this app, seeing my previous records has unexpectedly pushed me to want to get better. I was basically a potato, seeing how I was getting better, definitely helps. I sometimes forget to track my runs so, I I wish it would automatically detect when I'm running. Google fit does that, I hope you guys borrow that feature sometime soon.

  33. Michael Zapka-avatar

Over time this has become overly social.. it wants to share everything even when I repeatably reject it's offers. It. Always. Asks. .. allow a permanent way to disable #all# pop ups (Facebook etc) with respect to sharing my workouts, Offers. Or ads (if pro version). Stop the games. Just stop. Please.

  34. Fabian Smith-avatar

Too many questions and 'features' popping up. Pissed me off trying to go for a run having to answer the tons of questions. Sod off with it, when I click start, start the timer, stop asking me about Facebook when I don't even have a Facebook account. Uninstalled, I'll find an app that isn't always trying to sell or pish another feature

  35. Paul Krier-avatar

Runtastic is no longer a viable option for runners like me. Previously you could track your runs with the app and analyse everthing on the internet-site (exercices per week, evolution of your stats, etc..) With the removal of the internet-site major features have been removed from the user. Why would a company do two steps backwards and then shoot in their own foot? It's clear that neither the management nor the IT people are using their own product. It's a sad end for a previously good product.

  36. Mark Evans-avatar

Gone down in my estimations... Never had any problems up until the last few months... Constantly dropping out of tracking, not because of GPS as my Garmin works, but near enough stopping itself and I'm having to restart missing out distance and tracking... Hence not continuing with premium either as I haven't had a reply from Runstatic about another issue. Quite sad really as I like this app, maybe a few more stars if it improves !!

  37. Scott Kirkness-avatar

I'm a 5 year user of this app. I've been there for all the updates, and they are almost universally improvements. It's a simple, reliable app that I've used on a few different phones with many different headphones in different parts of different countries. Works amazingly well

  38. Didita Silva-avatar

I'm not happy with new version. I'd this on my samsung Neo device and worked perfectly now I shifted S9, too many gimmicks but not working properly. My old one had runtastic me and worked fine with my sleeping this always mark 1% of sleep and can't access my trainning plans. Almost 6 years with this app and premium membership. 😤😤

  39. Juddy M-avatar

I paid for the pro version and the amount of features that have been taken away from me is ridiculous. Now I need to get a premium subscription to get the features I originally paid for. It's quite shameful. I feel like my money was wasted with the pro version.

  40. Trudy Pogue-avatar

I love this app but one thing drives me crazy. I set it to display distance at the top while I'm running and it always goes back to displaying pace. Distance is really small and difficult to see. Wish it would save my display settings!

  41. Peter Čagala-avatar

It was the best application for running. But now, it doesn't work. After 5 minutes the app crash and I have to rerun it again and again. Everything is set correctly (battery aptimization). I have honor 9. Please, fix this bug...

  42. Miguel Navarrete-avatar

Overall it's a great app.. I would only add the ability for the app to lap your time, for example once you finish a 5K Run. It tells you workout done but, the timer keeps going without you knowing at what exact time you finished your goal to the exact second. For that I give it 4 out 5

  43. Devere Wilson-avatar

I have been a customer of this app for some years now, but for the last fews month there has been a malfunction. Each time i start an activity, GPS signal is lost and at the end of the activity, all i can see is the time of the activity

Im Huawei P20 Pro owner now, before with other phones I didnt had any problems with runtastic Pro app. Now its just imposible to use Runtastic app. Every 5 minutes app just gone and I need to start it over and over again. After couple tries I just close this app and finish my workout. Fix it please. People paying money not for that. Thanks

Awesome running app. better heart rate sensor integration than runkeeper. But a few things are still missing compated to runkeeper: * statistics per interval * too much information. I could not configure to just tell me when an interval starts. instead you get the quater, half and 3quater information or none. *cannot configure that first day of week is sunday

  46. Kulbushan Karbanda-avatar

    Kulbushan Karbanda

I have used this app a lot outdoors and is not bad, but on my treadmill, it does not give me any stats except the time I ran, not calories burnt or any other stats, the time I ran on treadmill, can me measured by my KITCHEN TIMER. I would not recommend this app for indoors.

  47. A Google user-avatar

How can a pro app have so many pop up ads!? The ads keep popping up before and after runs. Additionally, there appears to be 'join premium' postered all over the UI, at every turn! The devs need to drastically reduce the invasivesness of these adverts.

  48. parmesh kumar-avatar

i purchased this app in 2016 . ist year it performed veey well and accurately tracking my activities. i was very motivational by tracking my realtime workout. annoyingly as day passed it became worse and pathetic.i ran 1 hour and just showing 1.3 kms. gps signal lost is frequent. and in between tu our jogging y doesnot supposed to halt and run every 300 mtrs.

  49. Sven Lindqvist-avatar

Does an OK job in tracking my runs. GPS works fine, distance seems accurate. However, I paid for the Pro version expecting no ads or other annoyances. Instead, I'm constantly bugged by pop-ups and other junk... Not recommended.

  50. Denny Evans-avatar

Consider this a warning not to sign up for paid subscription. I have made 3 attempts to cancel via their website and they claim they will send you a link to cancel. I have yet to get that email and yes I checked junk mail. All I have received is an auto reply with instructions on how to submit for that same email that I never get. You cant cancel on play store as well. Dont give them access to your money. I am contacting credit card company to get them to reject further withdrawals from this dishonest scam of a company.

  51. Dennis Z-avatar

Used to be a happy user of Runtastic with nice features both in app and website. I used to record my motorcycle trips. I especially liked the website where I could download so I could share my routes with friends to redo the trip later. Unfortunately they closed the website. Although the message on the site states they will implement lots of functions n the app I wonder why not first add the functions and then remove the site? In the app I now, for example, cannot save a recorded route to GPX. Sharing a route only sents a picture, not the actual route. (route image is being disabled immediately once tapped) Bummer and probably the end of me using Runtastic if I cannot save the routes any more....

  52. Allyson S.-avatar

So far the app has been good for tracking runs, walks, & casual workouts. But upgrading to PRO Runtastic has not been worth it. The extra features are not very useful to me & you still receive ads to upgrade to their premium subscription. On top of that, it is bothersome that PRO Runtastic just gave me a notification to use the free version of Runtastic to try the goal setting feature. Why wouldnt all the free app's features seamlessly be on the paid version? I would stick to free version.

  53. Mike D-avatar

This app has been my go to app for about the last 7 years. The year I finally subscribed to premium they reduce the web functionality. Not a deal breaker yet but what my recent concerns are that when I track my runs with my Garmin Vivoactive 3. The run shows up in my news feed but not in my activity feed. Why is it not updating my activity feed? Note: It was working flawlessly before. Update: I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and I think it fixed the problem.

  54. Dalton Roth-avatar

Very easy to turn on before taking off on a run, accurate GPS tracking, mile by mile break-down, and it tells you your speed at the end of each mile which i find very useful for pacing. great app for any level of runner!

Paid app has pro features but still content locked behind a monthly fee. When notifications are disabled I still get sponsored notifications. It's basically an advertising app I actually paid for. For doing normal runs it's fine but there are thousands apps that support that as well.

After nearly 7 years of use, I need to change my rating to 1 Star. First they removed the Garmin compatibility/export. Then the Web functionality with all my historic data was removed. Now it is impossible to download my historic training data. The latest update massively restricted the sharing functionality to Apps installed on the phone (previously you could link sharing to different services) meaning I can no longer share my runs to social media. Brooks shoes take forever to appear in App.

Very solidly performimg app. i'm using.both strava abd runtastic simultaneously and prefer runtastic for audio guidance whive strava seems to have more social features. In terms.of accuracy on I find runyastic extremely accurate. rich on features and quick to work with i am very happy with runtastix for ober tjree months of use. Tje news they send are very useful adcice for a beginner/ mid.l level.athlete Keep the good work!

Starts great and then after 10 seconds gps is lost, only to come back after i wake up the screen off my phone. After locking the phone it happens again and again. Did everything i could like closing battery optimization, yet it's still not working. Fix this please!

When I first bought this app, I was able to use it without having to log on with any account. Now they force you to sign in or log through Google or Facebook. Some of us value our privacy, but that is not an option for runtastic.

  60. Saunak Sahoo-avatar

The best run-tracking app. Great UI, great interval features and detailed analysis. A few great features are behind hefty paywalls, but i guess that's how you make money. Can still be better in a few areas such as interval-wise details, but nice overall experience

  61. Glenn Batten-avatar

The app cannot use the heart rate monitor in your android wear watch which is just silly. Sure you can use the android wear runtastic app but if you do you miss all obthe features of the phone app, just a very basic experience. They need to be able to use the heart rate from your phone when the activity is started on the ohone and you use the watch as a second screen.

  62. Alasdair Burt-avatar

I really liked this app...all the functionality and tips. Unfortunately I now can't get GPS to work with it, which I see a lot of others can't. It's a shame it wasn't fixed quickly as I'm now forced to move to another app. Strava here we come!

  63. Craft4 Crafty-avatar

Farewell Runtastic, you lost me now permanently as a customer due to the following reason: "WE RETIRED RUNTASTIC WEB FEATURES" Goodbye, it has been some nice 7+ years.

good analysis and i like being able to set the yearly distance goal. i don't like how it makes me have to give my entire contact list to invite others and not just invite a few people that i know run. if it kept track of segments and PRs for the segments like Stava, it would be cool.

  65. A Google user-avatar

This app used to be good. After recent update, it looses GPS signal more frequently. The bloody runtastic pro app maker can't make this app errorfree, have been using for years but always one way or other errors. They boast runtastic is most downloaded fitness app.

  66. David-avatar

Purchased the pro app for gf on apple app store for access to training plans only to discover they are only apart of the premium membership, despite it saying included features training on their iOS app store, very disappointed as that is $6 lost and still no access to the only feature we use on this app

  67. Patrick Duffy-avatar

Works great for tracking my workouts, but it has a pop up asking me to try premium almost every time I open the app. Nine times out of ten I just want to start a workout right away and the pop up makes that harder which is annoying.

  68. Brett Moore-avatar

worked perfectly until last update now wont share orogress on Facebook. gets stuck on share page after i push share. screen dims and app not responsive until i minimise. flushed cache device and app. changed acct details on web and made sure all email address match. out of ideas. this is critical for my peers. Still same bug after todays update. Wont share to facebook. Just gows dim and app hangs.

  69. Ralph Hurtig-avatar

Runtastic is versatile to track many activities. I use it to track my workouts at the gym. It might me useful to add an activity category for stretching, an important activity for all workouts. I also use runtastic to track my cycling. Great job to the team at runtastic.

  70. sameer desai-avatar

Has betrayed me thrice now, it got stuck on some of my fastest activities. That too on a high end phone. That is so very disappointing. I switched from Runkeeper for exactly the same reason. Looks like i have to switch Apps once again.

  71. A Google user-avatar

It was great on my iPhone but android version sucks. Voice coach is broken. It looks like it has eaten up some words. It speaks with missing words. No pause option for walking activity for non premium runtastic pro members.

  72. Sandra Schwellach-avatar

    Sandra Schwellach

my favourite app for a couple of years now. got everything I need and the PRO Version gives nice workout options. if only there was a way to stop the voice coach stating "you are within your target pace", which is sometimes repetitively, mostly annoying and utterly useless.

  73. Eric Simon-avatar

Good app for tracking distance, time, calorie estimation, e.t.c. Unfortunately, even you buy the PRO version, everytime you start the app you will be asked to upgrade to a monthly membership. Its annoying to have to click past it every single time.

  74. Richard Riley-avatar

This app doesn't show all activities from apps such as press ups and the workout orientated Results app in the progress tab. With the loss of the web ui no central calendar view of day by day runtastic apps effort. Results and Pushups are not pushed to the connected myfitnesspal account making calorie tracking totally useless. I'm beyond confused as to why they've retired the web and how everything is so broken.

  75. Christoph Gringmuth-avatar

Recently the app crashes during activity and then the whole ride is lost :( Also they abandoned the website and now you can only use the app which I don't like! I'm actually happy now to cancel the premium subscription. So, after years of usage I guess I have to look for better alternatives.

  76. MUKESH RAI-avatar

Again I try to use your App but the disrance is not correct compare to my honour band 4 GPS. Last time I use this App my Mi Max mobile but this time I used this App on Realme X. But in my new mobile I also face the same issue. I want to use this App but due to incorrect distance and loss of GPS single I am unable to use this. The other features are good but with the help of your App I am not able to plan my Marathon training. Kindly work on your App.

  77. Patrick-avatar

Great app. I've used the competition, and left here because i didn't like the cost barrier. i returned through Adidas. I really appreciate the integration of the additional fitness apps and that Runtastic syncs through my Garmin.

  78. Leko Fraggle-avatar

As with the other runtastic apps, I want to love it, but I cannot. I have lost activities three times in the last week. At the moment, I cannot rely on any of its functionality. It is so unstable, I have now installed Strava.

  79. Patrick van den Hurk-avatar

The app still works fine and beats most other running apps but BRING BACK THE WEB FUNCTIONALITY! Removing it has seriously crippled the experience for me. I want to be able to export gpx files and I really want the calendar view back. I was thinking about subsribing to premium but I definitely won't do that now!

  80. Ciro Morante-avatar

once upon a tone this app use to work flawless. This my second (Xiaomi) where I installed this app and it is not working at all: It just stops recording my track (distance). Keeps only the time and noting more. I have this premium account for nothing

  81. J Gould-avatar

The most annoying ad overlays. and it is getting worse. I miss Mytracks. Now you cant even share your course properly. Regret paying for the pro version which assassinates your motivation like a pro. Wants BT connection all the time even when you disable it. Happy clicking away things to death for even basic use.

  82. Bryan Rubio-avatar

Great app, but the "Pro" version bounces me to the free version when I want to start a plan. That makes no sense. Why would the pro version have less capabilities than the free one? Very frustrating.

  83. Rangan Das-avatar

GPS signal drops occasionally for no reason. Google Maps work fine and shows precise location when Runtastic fails. Needs an option for more aggressive GPS polling. When my bike computer says I was riding at 45km/hr, Runtastic shows I was going at 33.36. Also, add gravel bike as an activity.

  84. Tom N-avatar

Like the app, its definitely encouraged me to run more. A feature I'd love to see would be to have more control with the voice coach. e.g every 0.5 miles tell me my pace, but every mile tell me pace plus distance and time.

  85. Joy Miley-avatar

i wrote a review earlier in which I gave the app one star. It was totally user error on my part. With encouragement of a friend i tried this app again. I am so glad I did. It has helped me stay on tract, is fun and the stories are enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Wish that the weather setting started at a more reasonable temperature. How many people are out running at -70 degrees? Maybe have an option for default temperature. Would also like to see some more metrics like estimated VO2 max, recommend recovery time, etc.

  87. Mr. X-avatar

App is ok, but it annoys me with useless notifications, always tries to convince me to create an account or to share every step that I take. This month it consumed 700 mb of my cellular data contingent! I didn't even use it.

  88. Andreas Reichart-avatar

    Andreas Reichart

Repeatedly blows longer workouts (bicycle) rendering a distance and time of zero and no tracking function although the cardio data is completely correct. Really disappointing for a paid app. Additionally there are ads although I paid for it to get rid of them.

  89. Buster brown-avatar

great app, love being able to track my pace as im running, love veing able to listen to music and still have this tell me my pace and overall time every half mile or mile, really helps push me to set and reach new goals. very accurate tracking as well

  90. Alistair Kelso-avatar

a Great app. I enjoy the fact you can challenge previous runs, the feed back you receive while you're running keeps you informed of how your doing and encourages you on. You can also link you account with friends.

I have experienced annoying vibrations for a long time now and it seems maybe it's because of Auto-pause because it vibrates when I stop and I start cycling. Maybe the other phantom vibrations I experience are also because of this. Is there any way to disable all vibrations within the app?

  92. Robert White-avatar

Was greeted with an advert the first time I opened it up, sure the free version can have all the ads it wants but come on now, I don't wanna have paid for adverts, just bush league sorta thing.

  93. Rogan Birnie-avatar

Goodbye Runtastic Pro. Used this for years and it was mostly solid. Now it crashes twice per run. GPS drops at least once per run as well. Voice coach glitches out and tells me I am running in the hundreds per minutes a mile. Too bad.

  94. Mark Friga-avatar

Love it. Its accurate, it's easy. I love that I can look back at every run I ever logged, especially when you add a note or a picture. highly recommended.

  95. András Oláh-avatar

After the third time it has "forgotten" to properly measure the distance of my run (not the time), stealing my personal record from me, I'm done with it forever. I regret to purchase a full year in front...

loses gps signal very often. not good for a running app when u run and get a gps signal lost...very dishearting to see ur timing and hardwork losing. tried in different locations but no improvements.

  97. Ludwig G.-avatar

Great app but pleeeeease add an option to disable or shorten the voice feedback. When you finish your run and listen to music it's super annoying to hear that robotic voice for 30seconds. And I see the stats anyways since I stopp the run within the app.

  98. Adam Davey-avatar

Great app for easy to use tracking of your running routes. Gives great information for avg. Pace, average time, can give suggested routes by other runners as well. All round worth it.

  99. Dunkel Meister-avatar

Bought the app years ago. Not much improvement, removal of real time heart was great, that is even removed out of the app purchase or the "pro" edition.

  100. Kevin Barreau-avatar

this app rocks! I had to take time off for a surgery today was my first run after several months. and it kept track of all my runs before my surgery so I can slowly work up to where I was thank you!
