  1. Mark Bearden-avatar

I paid for the app and wanted to keep using it as is. But it forced a conversion to "Runtastic" identity that now demands I create some new account and provide personal information. You've locked me out of even viewing past data if I won't. What sleaze. GOOD BYE, you took my money but will not yank me around like that. Uninstalling.

  2. Vivek Ramanath-avatar

Even after following the guideline for measuring by keeping the index finger covering the camera and flash, the heart rate varies from 50 to 160 in no time. Even free apps like Accurate heart rate monitor gives much more consistent and accurate results.

  4. A Google user-avatar

Please include Google fit integration. It would be good if we could see the heart rate data there. The app is very good and helpful. Also, the interface is simple and beautifully designed. I am loving it 😍.

  27. GG Alsorunning-avatar

    No Google fit support

  28. zindu antony-avatar

please provide more features for pro version users

  29. Andy Gilleand-avatar

It works but the heart rate detection is a bit too sensitive. You need to make sure your finger stays absolutely still, and have you ever tried thinking about keeping your finger absolutely still? Guess what, it's not as easy as it sounds lol Instant Heart Rate has a better detection/graph system, but this is the app I paid for, so...

  30. Wayne Randall-avatar

Still no Google fit sync. Unless you plan on entertaining plenty of personal info, app is not useful.

  31. John Pollard-avatar

Hit and miss. Sometimes it detects HR, mostly it doesn't. Often freezes the phone.

Unfortunately, not easy to use. After many attempts, it may pick up the heart rate. A few starts for the UI. Sad.

  44. A Google user-avatar

No privacy! I paid for the pro-version and cannot use the app unless I provide my bio information! I wanted to measure my heart rate, not share it with hackers and people I don't know.

  45. Storm Dev-avatar

  59. Mark DeMoss-avatar

Completely useless using phones with 2 cameras and/or hot flash. After I bought the Pro version, I tried hard to get it working with my Huwaie Mate 9 without success. First, the phone is equipped with 2 back cameras not one. Second, the flash becomes red hot immediately and one can't keep finger touching the flash (for measurement) altogether.

  65. Oobleck Ogg-avatar

There is nothing "PRO" or acceptable when a developer continues to run ads in an app that was PAID FOR, for the express purpose of not having ads. This happens over and over again. You should be ashamed of yourselves, you charlatans. Anyone thinking of purchasing the "Ad Free" version of Heart Rate Pro, be wary. It's NOT Ad or Pop Up free.

  66. Anil Kumar-avatar

Thus app measures the heart rate when we place our finger on the flashlight beside the camera, but it's a very painful process atleast while using my oneplus 5t. Can't be used at all since the pain doesn't allow me to keep the finger placed there for abiut a minute to measure the pulse.

  67. Russ Leong-avatar

This app used to work very well until the last month. I can no longer log into the app using my Google or Facebook accounts, even though they're connected. I have to log in with a runtastic acct, then it asks me to log in again which is very annoying . Fix this bug & I'll change my rating

  68. Joseph Carrière-avatar

    Joseph Carrière

    2018-02-14T04:43:24.101Z

Hey, this is actually pretty cool. Though I'm not sure how accurate it actually is, but still. Had no ides I could measure my heartrate with my phone. My flash gets super hot though so I can't keep my finger on it for too long. All in all, this is pretty cool.

  69. A Google user-avatar

It is unacceptable to put ads into an app i have already paid for to remove ads. Worse yet they are advertising your own products. I'll be in touch about a refund. "PRO FEATURES: ... * No ads". Then why did i get an ad in the middle of taking my pulse on an app that only takes pulse?

  70. Eric Thorsen-avatar

After all that time, still no option to disable that annoying social network share screen at the end of EACH capture. That would be so easy to add. Also it should really have a connector to runtastik pro to take heart rate during a training. Beside that it works OK.

  71. A Google user-avatar

Starts of reading my average heart rate but then jumps up by a hundred which never gives me the correct final reading. I have given it three stars because to start with its as accurate as my FitBit until that extra hundred beats per minute!!

  72. Michael Lynn-avatar

Got this app free during a special promo. Expected that it would use my built-in heart rate sensor to take my heart beat. Nope. Wants you to grease up your camera lens with your fingers instead. Ads everywhere. I'll just use the built-in heart rate app. Mostly the same features without the oily camera lens.

  73. Neil McKimm-avatar

Not working at all on my phone. No heart rate appears at all. I'm using the app correctly as the instant heart rate app works. I'll keep trying and change my review score if it works. Not befitting of a "Pro" app.

  74. Andrei Lupsa-avatar

It does not use heart rate sensor on my phone. Only can measure using flashlight and camera. That's dumb.

In fact i love this app too much and i use it since 2013. But i have now new phone and having heart rate sensor including in my phone. The app. doesn't use the heart rate sensor but using the flash light to measure and this is bad experience.

  76. Hassen Charef-avatar

Doesn't work! And I have a heart rate sensor and they don't use it and they use the camera and flash! Stupid

  77. Tom Williams-avatar

Nobody wants to share their heartrate. Listen and respond to the feedback you're getting. This is a ridiculous self - promo feature that shouldn't be there especially if you've paid for the supposed 'Pro' version

  78. Sim B-avatar

Pretty darn accurate, works consistently. Only gripe is that I cannot edit a recording once saved (change reading classification or comment).

The app is amazing and first of it's kind but there should be one feature that the app should ask the age group of the person testing heartbeat and show the meter of less or greater than normal accordingly. For eg. Childen have Generally higher heartbeat

Doesn't work with heart rate monitor only via camera. Bought pro version to work with rhythm and work on pixel xl. Very underwhelmed

  81. A Google user-avatar

The camera based HR detection of this app is inaccurate and unrelible. It also eats batttery when it tries to compensate by turning on the camera LED. There is no recognition of HR/SpO2 sensors in Samsung Galaxy devices, which work well with carefully placed fingers, even if not quite as good as even cheap Chinese FDA approved SpO2 meters.

  82. Andrew Nguyen-avatar

Ads for their company every time you open the app. Asks you to share your reading after each time you measure. Completely unacceptable annoyances for the paid version of an app.

  84. Filipe Governa-avatar

Not bad, but IAPs (in a paid app), virtually-useless charge log, spams you with unsolicited notifications, and no direct e-mail support (must use cumbersome Web form).

  87. Luigi Moruz-avatar

Too many popups to save online. Paid app, but full of prompts which can't be disabled.

  88. Love Adidas-avatar

Not accurate, this app said my heart rate was 101 bpm and the Samsung one said it was 78 bpm.

  89. Khlouie Cay-avatar

Works great for me. I'm able to monitor my heart rate with this whether before and after workouts, or whatever activities I like to check with. Got this Pro version for free (during one of their promos) and without any ads.
