I've tried several Reddit apps over the years and found this to be the far superior version. I like its customizability, such as having a menu banner on the bottom, reorganizing followed /r, and other interface features. Responsive, easy to use once you get the hang of it, and seems to have what I need, when I need it, without much digging around. It is my most used app! Keep up the good work.

Edit - Oh yeah! Idk why I didn't see that before. I'm sorry. May be because I was trying out too many apps. Cards 2.0 looks more like what I wanted. Thank you so much! I'd still really appreciate and love to see more font customisation options if it's possible. Thanks again! I'll also recommend this app to my friends.

Good app overall, my one gripe is that a few months ago after an update, videos keep playing well beyond being scrolled off screen. I'll watch a video and then keep scrolling, but the audio will keep playing until I've scrolled down about 5 post-lengths (I've worked out that it's not a time delay, rather a distance delay). It's quite irritating and really should be a simple fix.

  4. guest-avatar

Great interface overall, but i cant scroll through cards, which ruins it completely for me. If i click on a post, i should be able to just scroll over to the next one, its annying that i have to press back, then scroll down a little, then click the next post. Just add the ability to scroll left and right to other posts, and ill make the switch :P

Dayumnnn. 5 minutes into this app I totally fell in love. Perfectly developed app for reddit just like what I want. The UX is exceptionally good. We'll crafted app. Just bought the app for ad free. I like the random feature that really keeps me out of boring. Small feature request. Can you add a random button for posts? Thanks a lot.

  6. guest-avatar

Generally very good, however the video downloader doesn't work very well. It seems to download videos in a format/codec that means they can't be shared. They will fail to share through Facebook Messenger for example, and also sometimes can't be imported to video editing apps.

  7. guest-avatar

Way better than the Reddit app, I was using the official Reddit app before I found Boost and I dreaded everytime the app launched from chrome, it was so slow at loading the post up, with Boost it's way faster almost like the app is eagerly waiting to load the post. It's easy on the eyes and very beautiful. Great work after using for 2 or 3 weeks I don't mind paying to remove ads. After using this app for some time i decided to pay to remove the ads, this is truly a beautiful app.

  8. guest-avatar

For me this app is simply f'n the best. Waited a while to try it after hearing about it. Shame... It is the best way to browse here... Reddit app is actually nowhere close even if it's from themselves. I was a doubter but not anymore. Memory usage, speed, battery.... It's all better with boost than other apps. YMMV but what have you got to lose.

Removing starred subreddits that no longer exist does not remove them from the list. Say you starred /randomsubreddit at some point but you did not join it because you didn't want posts from that subreddit polluting your front-page. After sometime the mods decided to delete /randomsubreddit so it doesn't exist anymore. Now you cannot unstar the subreddit from your list of favorites. Please fix this.

  10. guest-avatar

The best client for Reddit I've found so far, has an awful lot going for it. Really customisable, my only complaint would be perhaps the app doesn't do a very good job of explaining what some of the options do it's more trial and error when you're setting colours or options for certain elements within the app.

  11. guest-avatar

For sure my favorite Reddit app I've used. Love the UI and the black theme looks SO clean. However, most of the posts that I save or upvote don't end up saving to my account, which is actually infuriating. I'm switching back to the normal Reddit app until it's resolved. Really annoying when I go to show someone a post that I saved, and it isn't there anymore.

  12. guest-avatar

Was great. After the recent update, the preview thumbnail when reading comments is on the right. I want it back on the left, and its beyond me why this changed. So I go into the settings, and the only way to get it on the left is to make the thumbnails everywhere else also on the left. But I prefer that on the right. Managed to find an option to put the title back as it was under "legscy features"

  13. guest-avatar

Got this app because the official app started downloading webms/mp4s in 144p with no sound and no way to fix it. That isn't an issue at all with this app, but now I can also: · search comments · get real-time notifications · view photo albums quickly in-app · fully customize the display colors of the app It's just so much more functional! This is how it should be!

  14. guest-avatar

This is my favorite Reddit client on Android. I wish that I could take this app and rearrange it and make it bigger so I could use it on desktop and never have to go to Reddit dot com ever again. Ads aren't intrusive, I just paid to get rid of the ads so I could directly support the dev for their great work.

  15. guest-avatar

Boost has been my go to for all my mobile reddit browsing needs, but it's been stagnating for so long with no update in sight. There are issues with images taking too long to load, gold not appearing on gilded comments, and videos re-buffering every time they replay. These are issues that are reported frequently on your sub. I understand you're not working full time to maintain the app, but we haven't received an update since last April. Edit: Yay for new update!

Awesome, lots of options to customize the layout and colours. I miss the older card layout that had the up and down vote closest to right though. I use this app every day and I wouldn't use any of the others, they didn't measure up.

  17. guest-avatar

Been using it for awhile now, loved it everything is great! however recently it's been really slow on loading posts and videos.. i have to close and reopen the appand after a couple of minutes its slow again. Cache has been cleared daily and set to 1GB+ and still super slow.

  18. guest-avatar

Better than official reddit app. Offers a wide variety of ways to display content. I'm sure most users will find the style they are most comfortable with. And most importantly, PLAYS AUDIO from gifs that include it. I appreciate being able to view image albums without need to open a browser, but still having the option to do so. Well designed. Edit: New update is amazing

  19. guest-avatar

It is one of the best apps you can get. Also the guy is pretty active in feedback from I hear. Some places can learn from him. Only thing I would request is to give the customisations of before the update. Find it hard to read headings when its scrunched up against half a screen. Today I Learned subreddit for example. And the return of the drop down menu to change how to view Reddit posts. All I would request.

Key Points: • Material Design • You can tweak almost anything to your liking • Ads are subtle • Uses a bit more battery than most Reddit clients A nice alternative to the Reddit Mobile app, if you can tweak the settings right it becomes AMOLED-friendly. It has nice animations and lots of customizability, but it uses quite a bit of battery (~18%/hr, mostly background usage) even on my Note 9. Still a great app, and it defenitely boosts my Reddit experience!

  21. guest-avatar

It is very good. I spent a long time in sync for reddit which I actually still prefer functionally, but the images actually load in Boost! I have also found its quite a bit faster, which I'm enjoying. Issues however. No bottom navigation in image viewers. Annoying when everything else is. Inconsistent swipe navigation. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. Inconsistent navigation in general, for example you cannot click on a username from everywhere.

  22. guest-avatar

    Collin Mcmeeken

This app is great. It's far far better than reddits own mobile app. I enjoy all the customizability and all of the features, especially doing your own themes. However, it uses SOOO MUCH battery in the background. Even after disabling it, it runs in the background for 13 hours a day and drains 10% a day while doing so. I've also a few gripes with being able to access some stuff such as the descriptions of subreddit, and some objects on the screen are simply out of reach due to being at the top.

  23. guest-avatar

I love this app, but it seems like the flair search isn't working. I have the settings enabled, but when I click on the flair to search other posts with the same flair, it only seems to search the flair as a normal word to find in posts rather than actually searching for flaired posts.

  24. guest-avatar

I don't understand this "results filtered, load next" message I keep seeing, and why are so many of the posts on my feed not showing, while I can see them on desktop. I disabled all censorship and filtering, yet I still miss on many posts. Stop doing this please or clearly state it.

  25. guest-avatar

Youtube videos are displayed inside the app instead of redirecting you to the youtube app. GUI looks nice. Although i found that sometimes when browsing i would eventually reach a bottom, in the standard reddit app you seem to be able to scroll forever. Really good app highly recommend.

  26. guest-avatar

Much better than the official reddit app. Highly customisable and has some very handy features like ability to directly share source links, to alter video playback speed and abilty to play gifs like videos. I tried it for a few hours and immediately purchased the ad-free version.

  27. guest-avatar

(Update: Card view broken in latest version.) Boost is the most customizable Reddit reader available. It also supports every practical functionality available in basically every other Reddit reader in the Playstore. A notable function is the ability to quickly jump to a comment's parent, which is extremely useful in long comment threads.

  28. guest-avatar

Pretty awesome Finally i can actually browse Reddit without having to suffer and wait forever for images and videos to load Having the option to download full quality images that downloaded with an actual progress bar is awesome and having a quality option for video is just much better than on the official Reddit app where it decides to load the Lowest quality possible even when using a fast internet connection. And the ability to download videos is just the icing on the cake.

  29. guest-avatar

Used to love this, but I can't upload images anywhere anymore. Great UI, but this is a major issue that needs to be fixed ASAP. It says "SUBREDDIT_NOTALLOWED" whenever I post an image any of my accounts, on any subreddit. Posting images works on other reddit clients, however. It's with all subreddits, even ones that previously worked. Edit: as of February, this has been fixed! 5 stars!

  30. guest-avatar

The best Reddit mobile experience, which includes the official. There's a lot of great third party Reddit apps, but Boost hits that magical spot where all the small things come together in perfect harmony, that'll you'll find a little something lacking from the others that keeps you coming back. Devs are also very attentive and active, so you don't have to worry about bugs for long or the app dying any time in the near future as far as I know.

  31. guest-avatar

This app is truly a gift that keeps on giving. If I had to desribe it, it's a bunch of small features that seem insignificant in isolation but truly make for a great user experience as a whole. To list some things I've discovered so far... * the "back" button does not rewind your feed progress * hitting the "back" button again accidentally prompts you for confirmation before closing the app * when entering a thread from the "main feed" you can swipe right to quickly return to that "main feed"

  32. guest-avatar

The app overall is really nice but it has a really significant issue with memory leakage. After about 20 minutes of simply being open, it will restart for me. Everything else about it is fantastic, to be honest, but the frequent involuntary restarts are really frustrating.

  33. guest-avatar

For a while it was better than the official Reddit app, in the last few weeks the videos and older posts (as I scroll down) just wouldn't load - which was exactly why I moved to this app. If it could be fixed that'd be awesome

  34. guest-avatar

Alot better than regular Reddit, but I miss the ease of going through picture/video focused posts and their comments of base Reddit. Also does this annoying thing where the previous video's sound will keep playing. And it loses your place all in the time in scroll mode.

  35. guest-avatar

Overall this is a nice app, and has more features than the standard Reddit app. However, I really wish the Hide Read button worked correctly. Currently, it just hides the read posts in view, but upon scrolling you have to hit the button multiple times before things are new. It would be nice if there was a feature to hide read on refresh as well.

This is a great Reddit app. I bought the ad-free experience minutes after setting it up. It supports 90hz for my OnePlus 7 Pro to make Reddit buttery smooth, it's nicely organized, reasonably customizable, and isn't missing any features I care about. I didn't think I'd find an app to do away with the regular Reddit app.

  37. guest-avatar

This is soooooo much better than the stock experience and the insane amount of customization is extremely great. I have yet to find a reddit app alternative that is better than this. The only small inconvenience is the load times sometimes but that also happens to me even on a computer when scrolling for too long. Would definitely recommend if nothing else.

  38. guest-avatar

I worked great until I bought it. Now it takes several reloads for comments to show up. Everytime it starts up I get the something went wrong message. I had none of these issues before I paid for the app.

  39. guest-avatar

Easy to use and great customisation options to tailor your experience. For $4.10 you can remove ads which is a third of the price of 1 month of Reddit premium on the official app. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a fantastic alternative app to enjoy Reddit.

  40. guest-avatar

Technically it functions. However, it crashes contantly and always forgets where you were when it restarts. So now that 20 minutes of scrolling you just did to get to something you actually wanted to read is again 20 minutes of scrolling away, sometimes it doesn't even show up again. Very frustrating to use.

  41. guest-avatar

Quality app, better than official one. It's customizable and smooth, and you can edit (add/remove) custom feeds in the app which I wasn't able to do on the official one. It's so good I don't mind not getting push notifications (there's no way it can be supported without having the official app installed)

  42. guest-avatar

New video autoplays too early. Still reading the previous card while missing the video in the next card. I had to turn off autoplay in this version. That works but is less convenient than the official app. I'd like to at least be able to read the title of the post before the video starts playing. Otherwise I have no context for what I'm watching. Disappointed. Update: Developer's tip is an ok work around for whatever changed, "I guess."

  43. guest-avatar

Outstanding Reddit app, best out there for me by far. Fully customisable, easy access to all my subs. Works better than the official app. Also, allows me to download vids & images in perfect quality which the official does not. Fantastic job, highly recommended. Well done to all involved.

  44. guest-avatar

The biggest positive is lots of customization options. It also looks good and generally works well. Recently, however, the internal browser no longer works. All links open externally despite checking the settings and clearing the app data/cache. This really disrupts the experience imo.

  45. guest-avatar

If you're coming across from Apollo on iOS, this app is it and everything more. The only gripe I have is that sometimes images take a bit to come up, unlike apollos preloading of the image. EDIT: App seems to be having issues with loading alot of the time even though internet is fine. Have to close the app everytime and lose where you left off.

  46. guest-avatar

Very like Sync for Reddit, but just all-round a little bit better: the default layout, typefaces, animations - everything just feels a little more polished. And it has one killer feature I don't want to live without now: per-subreddit view selection - so you can browse some with cards, others with a swipe gallery etc. Highly recommended!

  47. guest-avatar

I really like this app but I've noticed that the last couple of months, more and more threads just won't load. Used to be once or twice a week, now it's a dozen times a day. Starting to get frustrating.

  48. guest-avatar

By far the most customizable, intuitive Reddit app out there, better Even than the official client. Ads exist but are small and rarely noticable, there is an ad free version, that I've bought to support the developer, but I've used this app for years and still could without the ads bothering me, great app and I recommend it to everyone

  49. guest-avatar

Been using the app for a few months. It was great. But recently app've become unresponsive when tapping on long video. Video wouldn't show up and app was stuttering. The more i tapped on the video the more the app stutered. Had to reopen the app many time to fix it. Than video would be come unplayable. Please fix !

  50. guest-avatar

Filtering, this app has started filtering all kinds of stuff, sometimes entire subs. I asked about it in the sub itself and got some pretty nasty replies (I know on reddit what a shock!) But I provided screenshots that proved I didn't have any of the options ticked that the super helpful and very nice, kind and considerate responses accused...said that I had ticked

  51. guest-avatar

Been using this app for a bit over a year now as my main way to experience Reddit. Lots of ways to organize to your needs and none of those bugs the normal Reddit app has every patch. I hope this edits my previous post as I found my issues I was having were due to Reddits servers and was able to fix them.

  52. guest-avatar

After the most recent update, I can no longer post on my own subs. When I try to upload an image, I get the error (Subreddit_notallowed : you aren't allowed to post there). Great app but this is a horrible bug I have had to re download the standard reddit app until it is fixed

  53. guest-avatar

Boost has some performance issues in terms of loading the content where as all the other clients works smoothly. I install other clients whenever boost slows down but after 2-3 minutes of initial set up I always come back to boost. Please do something about this issues.

  54. guest-avatar

This app loads images significantly slower than the official Reddit app or website. This app is only optimized for the "cards" layout, where the images load automatically. The compact layouts on the other hand are very slow to load images.

  55. guest-avatar

    Mysti-Tsu Porter

Somehow my review was deleted right after I made it. I have been using this app for a good while on my old phone and now on my new phone it won't load any images except for ads. Really would like for it to work.

  56. guest-avatar

Overall the app is great, in fact better than the official app for reddit. The only problem is the lack of save option. Also, are the paid feature subscription based or one time purchase? Does the purchase include the removal of ads from reddit as well?? Please do clarify this devs.

  57. guest-avatar

so this app is amazing because you can filter by gifts and then just look at all the gifts on Reddit. I use this app all the time however every time I do this it makes me click results for filtered and then makes me click more and I do it over and over and it's like playing dice where like one out of six times it will work and refresh the feed and then the other five times it doesn't do anything and then it just says results were filtered again. It's been doing this for like a calendar year

  58. guest-avatar

Is there a plan to correct the "Something went wrong. Check your internet connection or try again." issue? It continues to be a problem. At this point I'll almost consider biting the bullet and using a different reddit app.

  59. guest-avatar

For the last few weeks the app constantly crashes, can't load pictures without crashing, and can't scroll comment section without crashing. It was such a great app I don't know what happened.

  60. guest-avatar

No simple, intuitive way to open links in an external browser. Certain simple things are difficult. Seems less good than accessing via browser.

  61. guest-avatar

Excellent app for Reddit. It does the job great. Multiple options to customize your experience and you can download content easily too. Ads are not that intrusive, in my opinion.

  62. guest-avatar

I used another reddit app that I was just used to using. It had some minor things that bugged me so I wanted to try another one. I've been more than pleasantly pleased by Boost! 9/10 because I'm sure there's something I think they could improve but they're doing damn good.

  63. guest-avatar

I have used the official app, then Joey and now this. I prefer Boost out of the three mostly due to the user interface but also if you have the free version, ads are easy to ignore.

  64. guest-avatar

Just bought remove ads. Good. To become the BEST you want: (i) SWIPE left or right to change Subreddits + (ii) 3 COLUMNS option for Portrait mode. Some have 3 & even 4 too. Then it will become the best.

  65. guest-avatar

Crashes all the time. It used to crash sometimes, but now it crashes multiple times in just a few minutes. It seems to be when the page is heavily laden with gifs, but it crashes other times too.

  66. guest-avatar

A great way to browse Reddit on mobile with a good degree of customization and relatively unobtrusive ads, and just a one-time fee to get rid of them, which I thought was definitely worth it.

  67. guest-avatar

Way better than the official Reddit app. Cleaner user interface with loads of convenient features accessible with one click from your front page. My favorite feature is the history feature, which lets you scroll through the last threads you visited via feed.

  68. guest-avatar

Love the app! Way more useful and filled with options than the official app. Only complaint I can think of is posts don't show users flairs even with option enabled. Other than that no current complaints.

  69. guest-avatar

    stoned sorcerer

The order of subreddits on the front page never changes when sorting by best. The posts might change but they're always from the exact same subs in a particular order. This needs to be fixed.

  70. guest-avatar

Elegant UI, excellent costumizability, great handling of multimedia. Feels and looks great. Good job guys. Had no problem paying to remove ads and using as my main Reddit client. Easily best on on play store.

  71. guest-avatar

With recent changes to the official app that have made it sluggish and uneasy to navigate, Boost remains one of the few Reddit apps that is simple, reliable, and provides quality updates with every patch.

  72. guest-avatar

    Brian Hornibrook

Recent update removed the option for banner ads for subreddit view, now the only option is in-line ads which I don't like. But more importantly, this is an update that downgrades user experience, which is an auto one-star for me.

  73. guest-avatar

I like it. Everything works. There's some nice QOL features that other Reddit apps I have used don't have, like a floating button to go to the top or bottom of the comments.

  74. guest-avatar

Much better than the stock Reddit app. Doesn't lag, freeze or eat my memory like the default Reddit app. Extremely smooth and tons of customization as well.

  75. guest-avatar

Nice clean and easy to use app. I've used it for awhile now without noticing any bugs. I reccomend this app.

  76. guest-avatar

Really good app. Was initially using the actual reddit app, but it would freeze ALL THE TIME! Finally downloaded this app and have had no problems so far. 5 Stars.

  77. guest-avatar

"Something went wrong, check your internet connection and try again." My internet speed is over 100Mbs/s. Long loading and not even load with that error message. Pls fix your app

  78. guest-avatar

Only way to use reddit! I wish it was also a browser extension for desktop. Also, a twitter app similar to this would be amazing. Huge plus side is the minimal permissions!

  79. guest-avatar

Overall is a great app. But i found that you can run out of post when you scroll relatively short on the front page. Maybe make it so it loads more posts?

  80. guest-avatar

Awesome app. Make sure to disable "automatically hide bottom" if you have the bottom navigation bar enabled so it's visible on the Home feed.

Works very well. I prefer to navigate through this app instead of the Reddit one but I am not quite sure why. Yes I know this is a vague review but the app works well and therefore the devs deserve a 4 star.

Sometimes the app suddenly closed/crashed after using it for long time.. dont know what caused that. On Samsung note 8

Switched from Joey to Boost. Paid for the full version too. Very impressed with its speed, UI and how customisable it is. 10/10.

Great except slow load and, eventually, videos stop working, requiring you to restart the app.

Comments aren't getting sorted correctly despite choosing to 'sort by top'. Where's history? Edit: thanks for adding "History"! The update design is great!

So many way to set the app to makes you feel right at home using it. Also, the developer is an amazing person that communicates with others to correct issues or to add enhancements. Definitely my choice for Reddit!

Solid customization, works extremely well. Usually the first app I install on my phone. Dev:If we can change fonts to Comfortaa that would be amazing.

This app is generally great. I only have one issue i.e. I can't see the flairs of users or my own flairs in any subreddit even though I have turned on that feature. Kindly respond as I would really love that feature to work.

Great app, but I wish the ads were able to switch to dark mode as well.

My favourite Reddit viewer by far, paid for the ad removal as well, just because I've tried other Reddit applications and this is by far my favourite.

I use this app more than I use the official app for reddit. This app has amazing customization options and it runs the best on my tablet. I bought the ad free version so I could support the developers since this app is the best.

Crashes a few times a day, loads adds in HD before loading screen shots. Another meh reddit app. I'll be trying the next soon.

So far, so good. I've only used it one day. Hope I'll be able to update it later if there are any issues. Isn't there a way you can "time" the request for ratings to be a little later for a better quality review?

I really like this app, but please revert the changes with usage of internal browser for all links, I don't want to keep using external browser for all links.

Couldn't upload Images/Videos and I don't know why. It says upload failed even when the progress bar reached 100%

I'd like to try it out, but everytime I attempt to sign in it says I have the incorrect password. I've changed it, used a password manager and re-entered manually. It simply doesn't work.

Pretty good for the most part, except every once in a while images and comments don't load.

No more options to customize advertisements as of the latest update. Please strongly consider readding the ability to use banner ads instead of inline ads.

So far my favourite of the reddit apps I've tried. Smooth, clean and fast with good customization options. And you can get rid of the ads for a cheap price.

Everything is great about this app. But notifications are severely delayed. Some weird way I only get notifications when the official app sends them.
