App has promise but needs work. Has glitches that impact reliability.

Dissapointing I really wanted to like this app. I only really wanted to create my own routes, save them and navigate them. First two worked fine. saved them to my "Private routes" but they are never to be seen again, only a message to "log in or register to continue" but no such option in the settings, besides it tells me I have 25 days left in my subscription!, I can also download and navigate the ROADRUNNER tours, but I only want to do my own! Re-installed it. same problem. :-(

The route planner is lacking features. It picks roads on it's own if it sees a shorter route. If it picks a route you do not want you have to start all over again. It won't allow you to delete last entry. This is a lousy feature. Why not develop a route number listing program instead of this cumbersome app. Not worth paying for

I am a subscriber to the magazine and wanted to use this app for access to the tours and other info from the magazine. This app is incredibly slow to load, unintuitive to use, and totally crippled even in trial mode. The app allowed me to create a route using waypoints, but doesn't allow me to actually navigate that custom route without paying first. How do you really expect people to sign up for a subscription when you cripple the trial version of the app even in the first day of usage?

Bit of a learning curve trying to figure this out , I do like that you can customize your own ride but after looking at other people's rides I noticed that the miles are way off the actual amount, for example one ride started out in Westchester County and the turnaround was near Whiteface Mountain and it said the trip was 120 miles which is way off. Also would be easier if there were a way to view the roads like Google Maps as it would be easier to decide the route you wish to take for the views

It's not bad. But navigator allows me to map out my rout on a PC and import it to the device. It's way easier to map on a PC save it as GPX then load it to the phone. Once you have this option I will try it again. I don't even mind paying a one time fee for it. Update: Jan 1 2020 It's nice to see developers care. Bumped it up to 3 stars. Can't wait to try it in the spring. Can you notify me when it is ready?

In just spent 5 minutes with the free app, so this is not a detailed review. It seems great if you want easy access to RR routes. Features it needs: 1. customer service/a way to ask questions, 2. ability to drag and drop route as per Google Maps 3. Need to be able to plan routes on computer and transfer to app. It's too tedious planning a complex route on phone and if it's a simple point A to point B route, we have Google maps for that. With those improvements, I'd seriously consider.

Midline at best. With standard GPS systems, navigation routing is easy. This is clunky, tedious and more that a bit frustrating. Even just the voice prompts are bass ackwards. 'At on 3 miles waypoint you will arrive at wapoint'. Very Yoda-like. Or 'Turn Right... in 3Miles!' And not calmly on the 'turn right'. It's jarring to hear that when there are possible right turns a flash ahead! You think its prompting to turn RIGHT NOW until its done with its pause for affect. More complaints, won't fit.

Not user friendly. I am not tech savvy and do not use apps very much. I graduated high School in 1967. I can plot a trip route, but have difficulty connecting to my Scala Rider headset. And if I need to make adjustments during a trip, it is confusing. I have not been able to track a ride, either. I find it easier to use Google maps. Instructions are lacking. When it works, it's good. When it doesn't, I can't figure how to make it. Need more complete tutorials. MG

I like the via pin-drop functionality to select the route. There is an occasional glitch occurring during navigation where the upcoming green turn directional arrow indicates the opposite direction to go from the correct route direction. I would also like to have a route navigation "return" option to be able to return back the same way on a stored destination route with voice prompts.
