Contrary to the ease of use image, I've had nothing but hurdles from opening and using this account. Its image is app centric, internet based, and branchless. The reality is the many problems can only be settled by either going to the branch or over the phone, and I called the customer service more than I ever did with any other regular bank account. The management is evidently confused/unsure about its place, and mistrust is apparent from all its limitations and requirements. I had to go into the branch just to "verify myself" and make it functional as a web payment method, and to change the card PIN you have to use a physical ATM as there's no webatm service on Richart website (turns out you can use the main Taishin webatm for that but not other features. they also use different?! smart card verification software for some dumb reason). You kinda get the worst of both worlds, as you cannot use the Taishin website, Richart's own website is severely limited, and the app itself is also not very full featured. You can pretty much find all the main features on a Richart app with Taishin's or other regular banking apps, but not the other way around. In short, Richart offers no real advantage over a regular banking account, but rather feels deficient and lower-tiered by comparison. Since you would have to go to the branch to make it useful anyway, just open a regular account instead. That is unless you really want a Richart dog on your ATM card. For that, I think you'd better off with their GoGo credit card, as the bowtie lights up with NFC. ATM card doesn't have that, which was disappointing. This "branchless" concept feels like beta-software, and there's a distinct a lack of commitment from upper management with all the imposed handicaps. The dog is a great mascot, and probably is wholly responsible for getting people in the door.

Can not load for 4 days. And I don't see how calling customer service can solve a problem on my phone. Also, trying to pay my credit card when the app is asking for update. Turns out update for Android is not available yet. Now I don't know how to pay my credit card.

This app is always asking for updates. Security is always important but think about the user experience; it gets irritating having to update the app every time I open it when sometimes all I need is to log in and quickly get something done.
