    The alarm feature won't let you turn it off. Once my alarm went off I couldn't find the "off" button so I paused the song but that caused the "backup sound" to go off. So then I deleted the alarm but that did nothing, it kept going off until I deleted the entire app from my phone. What is this? How stupid can the programers be?

    flat It is really easy to use; my default music app. One major problem is that songs keep disappearing over time. They simply do not have the financial power of other music services to keep an extensive library stable. They also do not have some of the newest songs available, although they do have most. If you want an extensive and stable library, constantly updated with virtually every new song, then I recommend Spotify. If you can live with a few less songs, then the Napster app is excellent.

    flat o2 The best music app I've ever used. Almost every artist and just about every song from the old days to current and all genres. Play on any device almost anywhere. Create playlist mixing songs like a dj. I've used this app for several years going back when it was rhapsody. Never had any issues with this app... damn near perfect.

    download Best music app I've ever used. Complete with actual working equalizer. I love the fact that you can turn up the sampling rate, I have it set to 320kbps. Sound quality is close to a cd.

    Always stops playing that it is streaming in another location yet im the only one in the account. Customer service is no help in any way have try contacting then multiple times and ask what is happening and all they say is to change the password. I have over 8 times.

    If my screen is off the app stops playing music... this extremely frustrating, especially in the middle of my workouts. I have to keep my phone open so the music will continue to play, which is draining my battery in the process, especially if I'm in the gym for a couple of hours. FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!

    Please add a feature that allows users to add all their downloaded tracks to a playlist. It seems so everytime I have a problem with the application and its functions after minor suggested fixes I keep getting told to uninstall and install the app. This makes downloading my music a very very unpleasant experience. Going through every artist to download their albums individually is tasking Downloads>Playlist>A button to add all songs to playlose

    Haven't been able to load any songs that aren't already downloaded. It just says Playback failed, skipping track and it'll do that through and entire album. It also fails to play back on downloaded songs and ends the playlist. Uninstalled and reinstalled and now it won't load anything at all. Playlists, songs, search bar, nothing.

    Sometimes songs that I have downloaded will suddenly stop playing. The app says playback error, and then the song is gone from my library... This happens almost daily and my downloaded library just gets smaller and smaller as I can't be constantly redownloading each song as they experience playback errors.

    I've had this app for years and recently more and more problems have been popping up. I sometimes can't download songs for some reason, tracks I don't have downloaded will sometimes say "playback failed", and the music gets updated so late (for example, I wanna listen to the new Juice WRLD album with the rest of the world, but for some reason the album is nowhere to be found).

    Not hard to find music I like, but I have had many issues with this app. I have had random tracks cut out in the middle of or simply not stream and be skipped over. (Edit) I'd like to be more specific and say that this is probably not an issue with battery optimization or the app going to sleep, because I tried Napster's solutions with the same result. It's like someone just pressed mute on my music because the time stamp keeps progressing and it always happens in the exact same spots.

    I've had Rhapsody/Napster since 2006 and loved it. But recently the app has been a mess. If several bands share the same names it just throws all the albums under one name and there is no distinction of who did what. Shuffle mode is more like play the same same songs several times in a playlist and ignore others completely. It's disappointing really.

    Oh, cool... Since updating the app yesterday, now Napster immediately crashes every time I try to open it. Unless there's a fix for this soon, I guess I'll need to find another service to subscribe to..? A subscription service isn't worth much if you can't access the content you subscribed for. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I will be emailing you.....I have been a very longtime subscriber with Napster, since before you required subscription. Check your records. To now pay to upgrade to another premium from 10 to 14 for more than one location is freaking absurd. What bonehead thought this was a good idea to increase and add such greedy for users to play music,an even more so when the country and the world is going the worst health pandemic and economy. I will be reaching out. I am pissed.

    I was a customer since it started as Yahoo Music. With Napster, the quality dramatically decreased. I was using the web-based player from my computer and the app from my phone. In January 2020, I began to notice songs mysteriously being deleted from my primary playlist (ticket 678644). They fixed it. Then in March 2020 the same thing happened (ticket 689738). Napster's troubleshooting was as abysmal as their communication, and they could not fix the issue this time. So I ceased my membership.

    I'm having trouble with my app. It often stops and I have to go back in and re-open it. Also when I look for the playlists that I created it doesn't let me find them. It gives me a listing if their playlists. It takes a while to fidget around with it to find mine.

    A lot of my songs do not download correctly, I do not know how to fix that without deleting and re-downloading. Also my favorite album (Ghost-Opus emonous) is in the wrong artist folder. Definitely should get fixed asap.

    Artists get paid with Napster, more so than any other platform. If you care about the artists you listen to and want to hear more of their music, stay with Napster. Corporate suits will convince young niaeve aspiring artists to go incredibly far in debt simply for a chance at success in the music industry, and will then milk them for all their worth. Look up why it's important to own your masters. As for the app, it works, and I can do 95% of the stuff I can with other apps.

    Well, I loved it until... all of a sudden, it stops playing music in the middle of my Playlist and says my Napster is being used in another location and it asks me to upgrade my membership. I know this is bull because I'm the only one that uses my account and I only have it on my phone- not even a tablet. It's a money grab. Fix it, or I'll go to Amazon. I don't want to have to re-make all my play lists, but what Good are these if I can't get them to play without constant interruptions?

    This is a great app but there are things I,m concerned about like hon long blues tune by george harrison which was blocked completely had everything taken off of the stax story these things on this album is supposed to have stax artist on it not an artist singing stax songs and what do you have against mouth and McNeal?why don't you have their recordings?and other recordings I like to hear.

    The download and the subscription renewal features need work. Especially when there are issues with downloads there is nothing you can do it to fix it through the app. You have to just hope for the best or live without certain songs. It's not working and content is not dow loading properly when it expires. Pleaae help The updates is better but the app still needs some improvements in terms of features. I hope that some are forthcoming in terms of finding new and current music and suggestions.

    Have had this app for years and loved it but lately it has been terrible. It is saving tracks that I havent even listen to or saved. Another thing I don't like is that it doesn't know that tracks are already saved or downloaded so therefore it saves them multiple times. Also it says error occurred please try again later daily almost.

    Even with a Premier subscription, the only way I can listen to an entire album is if I keep this app open. It's not just the app, its the same way on xbox and browser. On mobile and xbox, if I try playing music in the background(leave the app to open other apps)it will play the next couple of songs then either close the app or pause the playback until I go unpause it. Its the same for browser, just w/o the force closing of an app ofc. I included other platforms to show its not a bad coding issue

It shuts off randomly and when I hit shuffle on a playlist I have saved it will play like the same 5 songs in a row and not shuffle my playlist. This is literally the worst music app I've ever used.     I've been using this app for years. Loved every second of it. Massive amount of music to search for. Radios based on said music that helped me find new music to listen to. Daily updates on new releases and playlists to choose from. Downloadable favorites to l Play offline. Honestly all in all a great app. However that being said I'm 99 percent sure the latest update has made the app unusable. Playback error for literally every single song I have. Including the ones I've favorited and downloaded

    I used to love Rhapsody but now it keeps telling me downloaded songs are "unavailable for streaming", then it gives trouble trying to redownload them. What happened to this app? Update: the app is now randomly deleting songs from my playlists. I'd recommend Spotify over this.

    I love the app, but I can't have 2 devices logged in at the same time without an expensive upgrade, so if I want to play kids friendly music 🎶 for my daughter on her device, I need to log all the way out on my phone, they should a list make it 2 devices a customer.

    The best overall music app. I've tried all the rest and they don't have all the options that Napster gives you. My wife uses Spotify and asked me to try it. A waste of time.

    I love the app but recently i have been getting a message "account in use at another location". The message pops up when Bluetooth is turned on or off. A little frustrating when working out but other than that it's a great app.

    I've had Rhapsody/Napster for a long time. On and off since I was 16, I'm 27 now and considering switching to spotify. This app has always been a pain. I pay for two streaming devices for my and my SO but it continues to stop playing music if we both do. The radio option is garbage. I have never gotten any promotions from Napster dispite paying them for so long. Since I'm laid off due to the pandemic, this is a great time to make the switch.

    I have been a Napster/Rhapsody user since 2009. I'm experiencing the same issues of playback failed recently on mobile data only. When I put it in WI-Fi mode it works fine. But this is very mysterious to me that it is happening to a lot of dedicated user. I turn off data saver also the app is not in sleep mode my battery optimizer is not having any issues. My mobile data works fine on all other apps. I just uninstalled the app for the 2nd time. I'm not going to reinstalled I have a answer

    I've been a napster member since it was rhapsody. Like we're talking over 10 years. When it started, it was a good app and music service. But these last couple years it's just all been going downhill. My account has gotten hacked, the features they've implemented don't work right, it's clear they're trying to compete with spotify, and failing to do so. I've kept this app for so long because I had such a big library and I didn't know how to transfer it, but its time. Such disappointment.

    Summary: Napster is lacking compared to other players. I use it because they apparently pay artists the most, but who really knows. Key missing features: - Play song/album next (after current song). - Add song/album to now playing. (e.g. if an album is playing, play the given song/album after that.) The "Queue" is just a playlist and creates more work for the user. Doesn't cut it. Also some performance issues. Immediate stop in playback when you hit a brief gap in coverage. Try buffering.

    Can't think of a reason to NOT give this five stars. It's got almost every song I've ever looked for (only missing some remixes, really). Comes with an adjustable Audio Equalizer (includes a bass booster btw). Has optional shuffle and endless repeat features. Can download individual songs or entire albums for offline listening. Artist pages have a "similar artists" (and influences) tab, which has lead me to finding childhood bands whose names I never learned AND new bands I like. Fantastic app.

What it IS is the typical pay now, get nothing you expected, they hope you forget about the subscription so if nothing else they can charge your card ONCE. Useless, you CANT download music to your device which you then own permanently, uninstall.

    Napster Works Hard for the Money I have been with Rhapsody/Napster for over 12v years. There company doesn't get enough cred for offering a very well designed site - with many options for discovering new songs/artist. Some nice site generated curation is a plus as are the countless member playlists and some of them are almost good enough to justify the price of admission. I have run this app side-by-side against 2 high profile competitors and Napster more than held its own. Sit back and enjoy.

    Overall it works pretty well for what it costs. Sometimes I have issues but usually it's because of bad cell service. I've had this service since the iPhone 4 was new and if you people are having issues then download your playlist and use offline mode and I'd say you'll have little to no issues doing that. For what it costs and what you have at your listening disposal how can you really complain. Wouldn't suprise me if you'd go pay more elsewhere and have the same issues.

    This app gets worse by the day! I constantly have trouble with connection even when everything else on my phone is working flawlessly with great connection (including spotify and amazon music). Have not been able to play a single track because the app won't load anything. Uninstalled then reinstalled, wouldn't let me sign in. Tried signing in 10 + times... finally let me in and it still won't load anything. Very aggravating!

    This app is horible. Ive been downloading for years. I go all the way back to rhapsody. I want my old list back or Im going to sign with another music dwnload company.     Went to sign up, then saw it was just a 30 free trial. I remember when I could use free. I'm on disability with a fixed income so i try a nd find good free ones. Back in the day Napster was great. But i don't know anymore since it's not free.

    Love them. I've been a customer for like a decade, since back when they were called Rhapsody. Has always been so much better than the other steaming music apps like Spotify. No ads, can easily download songs. It's the best!

    Songs stop playing when the phone orientation changes. Too many songs that I've previously listened to on this service are no longer available (while they are on other services). Honestly, I'm having a hard time justifying keeping my subscription.

    I really love the layout of this app and I've been a customer through the many variations of the service. They have always been responsive to feedback as well. Sadly I find that there is a lot less content than there used to be, like many artists have limited their catalogs and I have to seek it elsewhere, through competitors with awful layouts.

    I wish it worked with Alexa devices! I had to cancel for a while because it doesn't work on the Echo Dot. I had to get Apple Music for this purpose and I don't want to pay for both. Lately it has been skipping pass several songs in a playlist..pretty much until it hits a song that is downloaded. There are lots of songs that I could not copy to my playlist with Apple because they don't have I will most likely be back!

    Napster signs me out of the app every 4th time I open the app, sometimes more often! My password and username have never changed, but having to re-sign in (almost once a day) is very annoying. I am usually in the car and having to mess with it and take these extra steps, when I pay for this service monthly, is not a great product. It should be easy to use. Also, when I try to search for an artist or a song, if it is misspelled by 1 letter, it will not even try to help me out.

    Ive been using napster for about 6 years now, and I've never come across this problem until just about a week ago. I was a beta user for a short period of time, when I had thought it was the beta causing the problem but it wasnt. For some reason, my app only works 1/3 of the time i use it now. Often i find myself going to turn it on, and i have to uninstall the app and redownload it for it to work. I find this very frustrating, when I'm on the go and dont have my music. Leaning toward canceling.

    love the variety of music and ease of use. However, while streaming or listening to downloaded music, it will just stop playing all on its on and seems to be getting worse. ive had Napster for a long time back when it was Rhapsody, but if the issue doesn't get fixed im gonna cancel my subscription. $10 a month for an app that i have constantly hit the play button because it won't do right.

    I've used this for 5+ yrs, even before when it was Rhapsody... even then was buggy. I mainly use only Napster... I cant stop using it.. but my God this thing is buggy. The shuffle on radio playlist are garbage. The system doesnt let you delete songs when its playing from the playlist you've created without going all the back to the song and it's not even organized alphabetically under your custom. sorry Nap.. but you need a massive overhaul already to keep up with the rest of the industry!

    This app was working wonderfully. I got a new phone and then it stopped working almost completely. It wont play my songs. If it does play the song it'll go for a couple seconds then restart completely. it'll play a different song randomly while still showing the other song. It will keep saying playback failed. It will freeze and just show the logo. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Nothing seems to work. Very disappointed from years of use.

    Used Rhapsody before it was Napster. Was good then, but had iPhone at the time, which works better. Switched to android, it no longer had a way to quickly go through Playlists, so if I had 500+ songs, you scroll forever to get to the bottom. Sometimes I hit a song and it claims to be playing it, but audio is a different song. It crashes lots, and I use it for my job, and 1 day it was just down and gave no warning or apology! We pay a lot and they didn't make it up! New Spotify user now!

    I have used Napster for years when it was RealNetworks. It works well except at times it cuts the music off on some songs--"You Will Be Found" and some John Denver songs. It's a bit annoying and restarting doen't fix it. Some artists aren't available, like Garth Brooks. You used to be able to purchase tracks and albums, but that disappeared. Not sure why. Overall, I like the service and would recommend it as agood choice.

    Nalster Music is great! There's only one thing wrong with it though. Some songs I download and put into playlist, has a playback failed error, and skips it entirely. One song goes by, Intermezzo by Jaime Mansilla. I've tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, and checking for updates. But nothing so far. (Edit)_ No, it continues to have the same issue.     Been a member since it quit being a file sharing service. Overall it's a great deal. The app is very problematic. If your SD card gets un-mounted, you lose EVERY SINGLE DOWNLOAD. If you change phones, all your songs/licenses are gone, doesn't help if they're backed up on SD spend hours downloading them. most of their tech are clueless. Their only answer is erase everything and start over. I know they have to be careful of copywrite/licensing etc, but they should have other solutions!

    App shuts down when the screen timesout. never done that before, so irritating when driving. I use it while working, it doesnt stay on when using other apps. this is so annoying. After all these years. I am thinking about canceling my subscription. 314/19 - I guess I am not worth a response, but you guys take my money every month though.     I switched from an iPhone to an android, the android system sucks. There is no longer any numbers or alphabet organization on the right hand side, so I have to scroll through all 1000 songs I have to find a song, instead of just selected the first letter of the songs name. It's horrible designed for music searching. the downloads don't work right anymore, just terrible. don't use if you have an android.

    Intuitive interface and many options for streaming music from playlists to artist-based radio. My only complaint is that occasionally I run into the limitations of Napster's catalog of available music. I assume that this is due to an artist refusing to license his or her music. However, I can usually find the music on other apps.

    So much better than Spotify if for no other reason than there are no caps placed on the size of a library! You want every tune they offer in your personal library? No problem. You want to create playlists from the tunes in your library, they won't be counted as separate tracks taking up your space-&, even if they did, it doesn't matter! BECAUSE THERE ARE NO LIBRARY SIZE RESTRICTIONS ON NAPSTER! Not when it was Rhapsody, not now.

    I have been a Napster fan for years because of their content. Their user experience, however, has been subpar since Rhapsody took over. Things have gotten worse recently with all these in app "help" screen overlays. They are very intrusive. If you are going to spend time building new features, could you instead build an editable and accessible music queue for music currently playing?

    The app has a great repertoire of musical selections and I appreciate having what I want to hear when I want to hear it... but... suggestively, the issue with some songs unavailability and/or not playing in full can be a nuisance and should be fixed immediately, especially with an app that has a cost.     Updated Review: Music stops playing after about a minute. Found out an update for my S9 apparently set Napster to shutdown when not in use. So to fix this you will need to go into your Apps Battery usage and untick "put app to sleep immediately when not in use" Problem solved. I hope Napster can send an update to fix this so everyone doesn't have to do it manually. Thanks!

    Search results don't filter, at all, when you click a specific artist. There are many artists with the same name, so clicking on a specific artists should only filter their music. But it doesn't, so now you're stuck scrolling through multiple songs/albums and still can't find the songs/albums to that artist. This is not the 90's and early 2000's......

    All-in-all, a pretty decent service. The one BIG complaint I have with this app, is that if you're scrolling through your list of songs/artists and your screen rotates during this, it re-caches the list and starts from the beginning EVERY time. A savagely annoying problem, it will sometimes frustrate me enough to just close the app and listen to music a different way. Loss of one star for that alone.
