Heart rate or heartbeat is an important measure in health and fitness. Using Heart Rate Monitor app, you can measure and monitor your heart rate!
★ Free with unlimited recording
★ Easy to use with an intuitive design
★ Google Fit support
★ No additional hardware required
To use this heart rate monitor app, just put your finger on the phone's camera and stay still, the heart rate should be shown after several seconds.
According to Mayo Clinic, a normal resting heartbeat rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute (BPM). However, keep in mind that many factors can influence the heart rate, including Activity level, Fitness level, Body size, Emotion, etc. Generally, a lower heartbeat at rest implies more efficient heart function and better cardiovascular fitness.
Consult your doctor if your resting heartbeat is consistently above 100 beats per minute or if you're not a trained athlete and your resting heartbeat is below 60 beats a minute.
Heart rate training zones are calculated using maximum heart Rate (MaxHR). Within each training zone, subtle physiological effects take place to enhance your fitness. We have a similar definition to those used in Fitbit trackers:
- REST ZONE (up to 50% HRmax): This considers as resting zone.
- FAT BURN ZONE (50 to 70% of maximum): Recovery and warming up exercises should be completed in this zone. It’s called the fat burn zone because a higher percentage of calories are burnt from fat.
- CARDIO ZONE (70% to 85% of HRmax): Most of the main exercise should be completed in this zone.
- PEAK ZONE (greater than 85% of HRmax): This zone is ideal for short intense sessions (high-intensity interval training HIIT) to improve performance and speed.
This heart rate monitor app calculates and automatically saves your heart rate training zones.
- Heart rate monitor app should not be used as a medical device.
- If you have a medical condition or worried about your heart condition please always consult your GP.
- In some devices, a heart rate monitor may make the LED flash very hot.

I like the interface, and the logging, it is straightforward and minimalist. The app seems to have a ton of trouble getting my heart rate when it is elevated from activity, like running. The trace coming through just looks like garbage and the numbers are all over the place. Overall it seems good for getting resting heart rate, but thats about it.

Hoping it's accurate. It's helping me realize I need to take breaks every so often, to help my heart slow down a bit quicker. I like app. Wish it also had a way to take blood pressure. But, for a heart monitor it works well, & really does help keep track with a short explanation on how you feel. Wish there was a bit more room for explanation for fluctuating heart rate, to keep record for doctors. Hope you will consider. But, easy, & user friendly, please don't do update that's complicated. Thx

Seems to measure really accurately (matches with manual count of HR). You can save results and you can label them also. You can make a label for example 'after waking up' and all the results you recorded after waking up will group together under this. Beautiful. But this makes me not anymore delay purchase of a fitness tracker.

It's a nice little app to log my heart rate. Seems decently accurate and it gives me a poke occasionally when I haven't taken it in a while. I'm supposed to keep track, so that's pretty nifty imo.

I've found that for the most part, this app is pretty accurate, however, I would like to suggest a better description of The stats, for example, what the different rhythm waves mean, if your heart rate is considered too low, or too high, etc. I've actually used this app to document for my cardiologist, and he was impressed except that the waves weren't as descriptive as he would like.

Love this app. Reminds me to check myself and take a moment or two to see how my body is working. Love that it also hooks into Google account and updates automatically!

Works well and does sync with Google Fit- after I learned to save it lol. Idk why Google took this out of their own apps but this is a good replacement for someone who doesn't wanna wear a watch (oh, Google wants you to buy a watch!). I also read someone complaining about the app alerting you to take your heart rate... just wanna say, turn it off if you don't like it bc I've had this phone for several years and just now learned its not built into Google anymore. So basically I need a reminder!

Thank you this app is legit and easy to use on my Samsung galaxy s21 ultra- the camera preview detail is genius- it makes the app much more intuitive and user friendly as these phones have like 6 cameras now it makes it easy to see where to put your finger and not get burned by the flash( unlike like other apps )

tried a bunch, this is the pulse app i use regularly. fairly accurate, fast, simple, there are small ads but at least they aren't big annoying commercials with sound like some other apps

I really like this app because my heart rate feels like it fluctuates so often that it just puts me more at ease to know that it's ok. However, I don't know what is too high or too low, which numbers I would need to worry about.
