    Catalin Butnariu

    2020-06-04T05:50:34.727Z

Usually great, but recently the front page appears empty when sorted by Hot, which is really annoying. Also, this happens only when I'm logged in with my reddit account, if I'm logged out, the front page displays correctly. Hopefully this can be fixed.

  2. Julio Cruz-avatar

*Update: after updating the app 3 days ago, i'm still having the same issues. Im better off accessing reddit through my browser. Disappointing. Loading photos, gifs and video is very slow. I'm better off using the "open in browser" option instead.

  3. Jimmy Embrey-avatar

Overall, I love this app. Used the free version for years and then paid for premium. It does have some issues, though. Gfycat GIFs and v.reddit videos don't play sometimes, etc, but I still think it's the best Reddit app I've tried.

  4. Kyle Noyes-avatar

I think the post loading problem was due to having both versions, after uninstalling the free one, restarting my phone, and logging back in it seems to work fine.

  5. Colin Beatty-avatar

this is the absolute best way to browse Reddit on mobile. You can make it big and flashy with cards If you like new Reddit or get rid of em if you like the classic way. Great app!

  6. Graeme Kerr-avatar

Still my preferred reddit app but it is having trouble opening gfycat links of late. If i save the link and open my saved posts in a browser or the official reddit app the gfycat links open fine. Needs a bit of updating on the social aspect of reddit too.

  7. Zachary Floerke-avatar

    Zachary Floerke

    2020-06-05T05:02:33.878Z

Great application for a great platform. Almost all the functionality you'd see in an extension like RES on Chrome but on your phone.

  8. Jessie Romero-avatar

Amazing app, interface is very intuitive, doesn't feel clunky at all. Much better than any other alternative reddit apps.

  9. Tom Turnbull-avatar

Didn't want to vote less than 5 but I have a problem - the premium app appears to have logged me out and won't let me log back in again. Any ideas?

  10. Dustin Karrat-avatar

Until recently this was the best reddit browser available, but it hasn't been properly loading gifs and videos for a while. None of reddit's new profile features have been incorporated into the app either. I hoped the problems would be fixed, but it's been long enough that I'm searching for a new reddit app now.

  11. Lukezordz-avatar

Been great for years, recently been having "error determining video format" errors on many redgifs links. Any fixes?

  12. Jerod Johnson-avatar

I have been using RIF for over 8 years now. I have tried other reddit apps, but always come back to RIF. It has a comprehensive set of features in a simple and clean interface.

  13. Akshat Bhardwaj-avatar

    Akshat Bhardwaj

    2020-06-07T07:34:48.592Z

After multiple updates the gif is not loading properly. It's 2020 and I can't see a gif properly on this app.

  14. Vignesh Pb-avatar

The best apps ever, this is even better than the official one. If chat support was added to it then there's literally nothing stopping this from beating the official app completely

  15. Christopher-avatar

Functional, featured, and good UX. Been using it for YEARS.

  16. Fahad Ginwalla-avatar

Videos from redgifs, gyfcat constantly reload without streaming the whole thing. Extremely annoying.

  17. Aditi Raghunathan-avatar

    Aditi Raghunathan

    2020-05-24T10:41:01.613Z

Very easy readability/usage. Only disadvantage compared to official app is inability to close all comments on a comment by long clicking.

  18. Brandon Tave-avatar

Great design and function. But unable to open gfycat links. Keep getting "error retrieving gfycat metadata"

  19. Johan Ismail-avatar

Sterling app and continuous support. One wish I have is for the option to change the threads hyperlinked pictures/URL, to instead have it open the comments section. As it is today, getting to the often more useful comments requires two steps, an action happening every few seconds, rinse and repeat, ad nauseum.

  20. rahul sharma-avatar

Makes accessing reddit ( which is notorious for it's bad UI) very easy and lucid. 10/10 would recommend.

  21. Jj Fatts-avatar

App now has a link tracker in it. If you are using a system-wide ad blocker, that means you can't open links poster in the comments. Given that we paid for the app, it would be nice to be able to disable this or not see it at all given that it's supposed to be ad-free.

  22. Farooq Nawaz-avatar

Clean, simple, compact, minimalistic. Nice information density. Copy text from comments directly without having to press three dots. Saved posts and comments too can be directly copied. My only gripe:No offline support/ cached comments like Sync.

  23. Nicholas Maillet-avatar

    Nicholas Maillet

    2020-04-16T01:59:13.100Z

This app could be a 5-star rating if it wasn't for it continuously saying that all subreddits are "private only" I don't know how many times I have to reinstall the app to make this stop Ok might have fixed it. I deleted the old RIF with the ads and logged my Reddit account into RIF premium only and it hasn't given me the "private subreddit" glitch since. 5 stars now.

  24. Luke O-avatar

3 stars out of loyalty - currently not handling gfycat links. Hopefully gets fixed soon otherwise pretty unusable

  25. William Wilson-avatar

After a few minutes nothing loads and I get Error: Private Subreddit. I have to open the free version then reopen this one just to fix the issue. Really inconvenient. I'm going to seek a refund and just keep the ads.

  26. Devon-avatar

Great app. Don't really have anything bad to say. I'm giving this app 4/5 stars, because switching between different accounts is not exactly a seamless experience.

  27. Rahat H-avatar

Although the free version works great, the paid version repeatedly gives me "private subreddit" errors for every single subreddit. Won't load any posts or comments, including my own post history. Sometimes it works and let's me browse normally.

  28. David Villwock-avatar

Literally broken right now. Bought it the other day bc I wanted to support the developers of RIF which I have used for years, but this version is nonfictional at this time. Nothing loads. I've reverted back to the free version in the meantime which still works fine, with adds

  29. Maxim S-avatar

Completely ignores non-rectangle screens. Bottom comments are cut off on devices with round corners. If screen edges are round then paddings also insufficient and text bends over.

  30. Trent Council-avatar

Excellent user experience. I've used this app since 2013, and it has basically zero bugs. I love it.

  31. Emily Bernstein-avatar

    Emily Bernstein

    2020-05-03T16:39:40.962Z

Great app that I've used for years. Totally worth a couple of dollars. The only thing really missing is an ad blocker in the built in browser.

  32. Justin Schafer-avatar

My favorite app! It works great and has never let me down even if sometimes it does go into photpage mode instead of headline mode for no reason.

  33. Brady-avatar

5 star experience unless you have to add a new account. For some reason the app hangs when retrieving account info. I get banned for wrong think a lot so I have to reinstall rif too often

  34. Cj Moncooyea-avatar

Ease of use and a most have for mobile.

  35. Melvin MacDonald-avatar

    Melvin MacDonald

    2020-04-11T17:49:01.131Z

Works perfectly fine for me now and I've used this for many years. It's the definitive browsing experience for reddit on mobile.

  36. Kevin Rickard-avatar

This app works beautifully and follows the original design principles from the original (old) Reddit website. Way better than the new official stuff

  37. Michael-avatar

Love the app! I use it every day. I'd highly recommend it. Thanks!

  38. Katie P-avatar

This is a great app and I always use it. The features are easy to use and it is completely worth it to buy the premium to get rid of ads.

  39. Michael Lloyd III-avatar

    Michael Lloyd III

    2020-05-06T02:54:08.680Z

Been using this app for over 4 years. Easy one of the best apps for Reddit out there great functionality, user support and managing navigation through the Reddit community. Highly recommend for people.

  40. Jazmin Alvarez-avatar

Not sure why but ever since quarantine my app won't load anything. I've had to use the free version since this one won't work.

  41. Jacob McIntire-avatar

I've tried many different Reddit apps, and RIF is easily the best one. It is not perfect, but it has plenty of settings, easy account management, and it works very well!

  42. Torey Mercurio-avatar

Shows everything in an easily digestable list. Love it. Better than official app

  43. John smif-avatar

Was working perfectly up until today. Now I'm getting ads?

  44. Patrick Kuczynski-avatar

    Patrick Kuczynski

    2020-04-22T17:04:04.500Z

Works great, and interface is easy to use.

  45. Jason H-avatar

Absolutely love this app! I've tried all of the rest of the Reddit apps and none are as good as RIF.

  46. jim pavilack-avatar

Clean, uncluttered and intuitive reddit mobile experience. Aces.

  47. Andrew Newell-avatar

I've used this for years and it is rock solid. Thank you!

  48. Dan Tunstall-avatar

Great reddit client, the best ive used for Android. Highly recommended over the official app!

  49. Calvin Tan-avatar

Been using rif for years and finally bought the paid version :)

  50. Olivdub Dub-avatar

Awesome and reliable app, no flaws I can think of

  51. David K-avatar

RIF has been a great reddit client and I still use it as my primary way of using reddit, but it's beginning to show its age. As reddit updates it's features, RIF seems to be failing to keep up - still showing the old sidebar information with the new features not visible, leaving a lot of information to be unavailable. I'll still use the app as long as possible, but I don't know how much longer that will be.

Have used the free version for countless hours. Bought the ad free version a couple of days ago and it's still perfect. It's smooth, compact and easy to use. Simply put the best Reddit app for Android. I have nothing negative to say at all. The ads in the free version are small and unintrusive. Getting the paid version is only a all improvement and mostly about paying the developers for their awesome work.

I have had this app for awhile, I paid and have enjoyed it up until I updated to Android 10 and now I'm having issues involving the whole frontpage is a "Private Subreddit", it's an issue that is fairly common and there is a login solution which I have tried many times to no avail, I hope this is just a simple fix that can be resolved.

  55. RanDom-avatar

Have been using RIF for over 6 years now and it's the first app I install when I setup my new devices.

  56. Roy Marples-avatar

Low cost for an ad free experience.

  57. Peter Filbin-avatar

Best reddit app by FAR. Not even the official reddit app is as clean and simple as this one.

I love this app, but when I got a new phone last August, it stopped giving me the premium options on re-download. I don't even have an option to buy it again, it just let's me download the same broken app over and over with no change.

Definitely my favorite reddit app. Easy to use, feels familiar to me and I've used it forever. Worth paying for the golden platinum imo because ad free is a bonus (they aren't annoying anyway) and to support the dev. Thanks for this awesome app! It's the only one I enjoy using!

  60. Junkdewd-avatar

Disappointed, especially in community and support. Paid and downloaded without issue, but the premium options are greyed out and unavailable to access them. None of the support options work, nothing but dead links, and the Reddit is fun subreddit is full of toxic boot lickers that attack and curse at you for asking a support question that makes the developer look bad in their opinion. Use another reader if you want support. Don't waste your 3 bucks like I did.

Stops loading content and comments every few minutes. Seems to happen on wifi. Used to love this app.

  62. W M-avatar

Used this app for years. Works great. The issue I have is the level of data collection being utilitzed. I paid money for the app, but I am still milked and my information is sold to the the highest bidder.

  63. Pete H-avatar

Great app. Lousy long name that looks terrible when it truncates on a device. 5 stars for the app as it leaves the Reddit app for dead, minus 1 star for the name. " RIF 4 Reddit" would work better. BTW, buy the premium version. You won't regret it.

  64. Nate-avatar

I have been using this reddit app exclusively for years. I used to use Alien Blue for iOS a long time ago, and thought nothing would ever be as good as that but got used to RiF after a week. Bought the premium version since I basically use this app 24/7. Give it a chance and see if it's for you!

  65. Nicholas Roge-avatar

Would be five stars if not for the lack of ability to play gif/gifv's when in card view. Great app though.

  66. Wesley Yang-avatar

I was recommended this app by friends and after giving it a shot it was amazing. The best thing about it is it doesnt use almost any data. Of course if you watch videos it will use a little bit but its regardlrss

Always been my go to app for reddit, even has optional ads, but if you have the money, support the app and purchase the premium version.

Comments won't load. The non-paid version works perfectly! This exact same thing happened last year when I tried the paid version.

  69. Joshua N. Ruiz-avatar

The best reddit app no questions asked. I've tried others including the official one and boost but I ALWAYS come back. It's simple, concise, powerful and quick. Well worth paying for.

  70. miguel lacroix-avatar

Been my go to for years! I like it more than the Official app and honestly the other readers I've tried. Simple and works, you really can't ask for more.

  71. Taylor Evans-avatar

The best reddit mobile experience out there. I've used it since 2014 , and quite simply nothing else comes close. It's the best at emulating the old style of Reddit desktop.

  72. Jack Perry-avatar

The best Reddit app. Period. Been using it for around 5 years now, maybe a little longer. Gets continual updates. Rarely had any issues at all. Just brilliant.

  73. Ethan-avatar

The absolute best reddit app I've ever used. Much better than the official app, and a good way to not have to use the mobile web version of reddit; I've used the free version of rif is fun for years, so I wanted to support the developer.

  74. Li Linfei-avatar

Best Reddit client out there. Been using it for years, and am glad to support the developers.

  75. Sure Thing-avatar

Functional and clean, responsive developer, I wholeheartedly recommend rif.

  76. Karan Shah-avatar

Been using this since years, upgraded. Thank you

  77. Don Cummins-avatar

Been using free version for years. Glad I finally went Platinum.

  78. Michael Taylor-avatar

Slow, sluggish, takes entirely too long for items to load. This app used to be great, now it's a hassle to use

  79. Sam Sudekum-avatar

Official app uses ads and only allows you to remove them with recurring monthly payments. This app is an example of how that app should behave.

  80. Carter Wreford-avatar

100% worth it to pay for no ads. Better than the official reddit app where you will sometimes see 5-6 ads in a row disguised as posts.

  81. Allen Wong-avatar

Been using this app over 8+ years and it's always been great. Much better than the (newer) official app. RIF is lightweight, customizable, well optimized, and doesn't waste space.

  82. Anthony Miceli-avatar

It looks like app design from 2011. And that's exactly what I want. Functionality over all else. Very easy to use and navigate.

  83. Scott Drury-avatar

Works fine for anything other than looking at gifs and videos. It'll load 25% of it then stop. Dumb that this is even an issue these days.

  84. Cauê Araújo-avatar

Better than the official version. I've bought the paid version now please add the option to add flairs to our usernames. It's the only feature missing.

  85. kogigr-avatar

Bought the premium version because I've been using the free one for many years and wanted to show my support to the devs!

  86. Paul Rakowski-avatar

Been using for years. Best reddit app imo if you want dense information and not blown up pictures

  87. Joseph Hughes-avatar

100% Love this app except I cannot log in to interact with the forums and it's not two factor authentication as I don't have it active.

Your time is better wasted in this app than reading the reviews, just get it already.

  90. fon z-avatar

The best Reddit app viewer on Android. Definitely worth the Platinum purchase for this app. I've had this for years and the design and settings are so sleek and easy to use. I highly recommend it, should have reviewed it sooner.

  91. Michael W-avatar

Overall a good app, but sometimes doesn't load anything at all if I'm signed into an account.

  92. Ryan Hodge-avatar

Love it! It's a fantastic, light-weight client for keeping up with all your favourite subrebbits.

Reddit is fun does the best job of organizing and condensing information in a very readable way. Scrolling through Reddit just flows.

  96. Stephen Roper-avatar

Spend more time on this app then any other, Facebook included.

  97. Robert B-avatar

Excellent app, but I'd drop "is fun" from the name because it's redundant. ('reddit is fun is fun' makes no sense).

Been using for 5 years now. I'd only say that this app will suck your very life essence, so use in moderation lmao

Tried many a Reddit app, this one is still my favorite, well worth the money for all the time spent in the app 😅
