What you need to register

• You'll need to be registered for Digital Banking. If you aren't already, you can do this when registering for the mobile app.
• Your Customer Number, which is your date of birth followed by four random digits.
• Your Digital Banking PIN & Password, which is what you use to log in online.
• When logging in for the first time you’ll be asked to choose a mobile banking PIN, which is what you’ll use in the future.

Other important information about our app

• Get Cash allows you to withdraw up to £130 every 24 hours at any Royal Bank of Scotland (in Scotland), NatWest or Tesco ATM, as long as it’s within your daily withdrawal limit. You must have at least £10 available in your account.
• Paying someone new without a card reader allows a maximum of five payments totalling £1000 per day. You must be aged 16 or over.
• Paying your contacts allows a maximum of 20 payments totalling £250 per day. Pay anyone who has our app or is registered for Paym. You must be aged 16 or over.
• To cancel a Direct Debit from within the app, you have until 8:20pm (UK time) on the day the payment is due. At or after 8:20pm (UK time), the payment due on that day will have been taken and we will not be able to retrieve it.
• To cancel or amend a standing order from within the app you must give at least two working days notice.
• You can create one Travel Plan at a time, for a maximum period of 90 days, that includes up to seven countries. Each country needs to be registered separately. The Travel Plan will apply to debit cards only, attached to accounts that are managed via mobile banking, and only in your name. Joint account holders should register separately.
• Managing your receipts is available to Business Banking and Premier customers only.

Worked fine for a while then the fingerprint security access was removed. It still works with the security number, when it wants. Very glitchy and has made me wonder whether it's secure. This is a banking app so I would have thought that glitches like those I, and others judging by the many negative reviews, am experiencing should surely have been tested and ironed out! As I have security concerns over this application I have deleted it. No I am not interested in wasting my time contacting you.

Simply an amazing app! However, it would be great if you could finally add 'pending transactions' feature - you are really behind on this one. 03/12/2018 Update: Thank you for listening to your customers and adding pending transactions feature. Love it!! Update 03/12/2019: Thank you for adding 'Spending' and 'Features' tab - they are really good. Spending tab still needs some work, however, I was really glad and suprised to see this. This is a very handy app from RBS, no matter where you are you can log in to your RBS account and view your balance, set up and pay direct debits, you can transfer cash from one account to another and even transfer money to other people, like your family and friends. If your going on holiday you can let the bank know when your going, this then allows you to use your bank card abroad without the fear of it being blocked and leaving you without the means of accessing your cash.

Terrible. I used to have this app on my previous phone and it worked perfectly. However I lost my phone and I installed this on my new phone along with my tablet and it won't let me register on either of them. It just continuously say that I don't have web access, which I do. Things are quite difficult without the working app

Buggy very buggy indeed the last update has really killed the app.Now the app doesn't close fully and correctly it also randomly seems to hang and crash. fast response from developer so definitely no fault there once app has been fixed it will get a proper rating of 5 well deserved stars once the app is corrected. I Will without a doubt give the promised 5 stars please fix the issue.

Got a new mobile and installed the app on it. I try to re-register and it says it can't establish a connection. I was told by customer services that it was a known issue and that the bug would be corrected in the next release. The problem continues. It's absolutely pathetic.

Awful. Badly designed. Not remotely user friendly. I have forgotten security details so had to fill in all my details,only to be returned to the start of the app ,without b eing.given the option to reset. Spoken to 5 different staff, the best they could do was an activation code in 3-5 days. That's not really quick and.convenient

Stopped working! This app used to work just fine but after some updates I've had nothing but problems. At first when I opened the app it would immediately say had timed out and wouldn't let me log in. I saw some advice on here to uninstall and reinstall so I tried that. Now when putting my details in the app says it couldn't connect - even though my internet is working fine!! Its so frustrating becuase I'm used to using my app for almost all my banking and now its completely useless!!!

Something really weird with this app got a new phone s9 plus and worked on my old phone fine but when I do the customer number the last digit of it then says no internet connection and so on then If i literally just take the last number of my customer number and change it then it continues to proceed with the log it then eventually says incorrect customer number ?!?!?

Love the spending element in appcan see exactly where my money goes. Helps you see where cost saving can be made

I am not happy with this app it keeps saying no connection even though I am linked to my wifi. My husband did his straight away though. It appears to be some issue with the customer number like the review dated 21/11/19 below. It's so frustrating though...

Still an amazingly poor application. Same problem persists even when using a different phone. Enter customer number to start login process only to get a connection error. I have tried connecting to different wifi to confirm and it is definitely the application.

My first review a year ago had been at one star, felt a disconnect with the staff but I definitely feel a massive turn around on their efforts. They have helped me work out easier ways to save, the app is clear and concise, they were quick to helping me when my account had been hacked and did their best when I had been scammed - bad year personally, but RBS have helped along the way!

Love the app. BUT since getting a new phone I can't log in at all. Keeps coming up there no connection. App is up to date . Its very frustrating Edit...yes mobile number is up to date. And online banking is active. I'm having to log in through my old handset and it works perfectly fine just wont work at all on this new one

Is there a problem with the app? It started where I couldn't make payments to existing payees, no error message just hung and didn't do anything. Now it crashes and closes itself at any opportunity. I used to like the app and relied on it for my day to day banking but now have to visit the desktop site to do anything!

Since I got my new phone Cant get on to app keeps saying not got an internet connection nothing wrong with the internet 😡😡 I have deleted and reinstalled still the same once I put my number in keeps coming up that I don't have an internet connection i have checked the internet and there's nothing wrong with it

It does the job, but I don't have the new update features, I did have it at first but now it's gone would really like the ability to freeze/unfreeze Edit: uninstalled and reinstalled, and I still don't have any of the new features even though I had it before Edit2: I'm just an idiot that didn't know where manage my card is. NOT WORKING...... I Had this app on my old I phone and worked great, am now on a s10 and it's not working, keeps saying unable to connect to internet, its being do it for about a week now and it's very annoying. I've deleted the app and reinstalled 5 times with no joy, 🙄 please rbs sort it out.

Have been trying to log in my account on the app but it either tells me there is an error and it cannot connect to internet (although all other apps are connecting fully) or it sends me back to the start page whenever I minimise the app to look at the activation code in my text messages - this making the activation code nul and void and creating an endless loop of dead ends. Very annoying. Considering closing my account now after years as cannot access it in any way as it's now app only.

Brilliant for daily updates. Easy to use. No good for paying in cash deposits. Great for accessing statements etc for accounts. Great for checking transactions. I live in a rural area and access to banking is difficult, this app is very convenient. Please do not close any more branches

Easy to use. Could do with a few more features like Monzo, e.g. money off as soon as it's spend rather than showing "balance" and "available balance". Also features such as split the bill.

This app has been great until I had problems with receiving the activation code via text. Have tried multiple times to have it texted to phone and made sure my mobile number is correct but I still do not receive the text. It been super useful up until now.

Unfit for purpose. Can't check verification codes on phone without app restarting. Wont accept my password and passcode, then when it does, its telling me to get the app, whilst I'm in the app and then it takes me back to the start! Frustrating!

The most useless app I've ever had, couldn't even send money to my mate so I uninstalled it thinking it was a glitch or something but now when I'm trying to log back in it just says, couldn't establish a connection check your connection bla bla bla I've got internet thats how im saying this now hahaha so make the app realize it

Can't log in without a stupid one time passcode, I don't have a mobile signal. Also asked to create yet another passcode. Only reason I bothered trying the app was because I'm locked out of full access in a web browser because I'm fed up with being asked for a ONE TIME passcode. Now I can't even use a card reader as no option the app. The RBS log in process is a complicated mess, fed up with it.

Can't register. Keeps telling to check my Internet connection after I enter my customer number. All other installed apps working fine. Tried turning phone wifi on/off. Tried reinstalling the app & rebooting my phone still getting the same message.

A great app for managing your finances. There is comparability for so many countries, but could you please also add the Netherlands so that I can manage my UK account whilst I'm living here?!

Exceptionally good banking app. The RBS banking app has in my experience been far better the some of the banking apps I use. Miles ahead with innovation and ease of use.

Activating the app sends a six digit numerical code via text message. The input field doesn't bring up a keyboard that allows you to put numbers in. Pretty useless.

Works for me but I wish they wouldn't keep swapping the order of my accounts

Excellent app - never had a problem with it, huge advantage is that there is fingerprint security so you don't need your card reader to set up a new payment unless it is over a large amount

Had no issues for over a year after first installing after some updates I was asked to log in but my password wasn't recognized I uninstalled the ap and tried again but as yet haven't been able to access my account

Efficient, fast, secure and works as expected. Really like the card reader for added security.

The app keeps getting better in fact its quite good. However the new spending tab is poor. No saving category. It puts random things into odd categories. Shame nice idea.

Great APP (WHEN IT WORKS THAT IS) Keeps bloody crashing. Won't open some days, then it does all of a sudden, next day it crashes again. End up having to access via main RBS site. Very frustrating 😕

It's very useful but for example tells me I'm paying someone for the first time when I've been paying a payee for 8 months. There must be some errors in the back end.

Makes life so easy for checking balances on Credit Cards, Debit Cards and also for my Business Card. I use this App for all my banking transactions including paying my monthly credit card payment.

It's ok but very basic compared to my partners Yorkshire bank app. To improve I would like the cheque scanning feature as I still get regular cheques and have to go to the bank to pay them in.

Very easy to use for anything wherever and whenever needed. Now RBS Is closing lots of branches which is a shame and I'll end up having to close my account but at least mobile bankings here at the moment.

The only downside are payments made between Thursday-Sunday do not come off till Tuesday. Why do payments and balances not update 7 days a week. Other banks do.

Recently downloaded the app which is good ,however I am unable to find or change where on the app you are able to pay full amount of my balance it only has minimum payment , are you able to pay full amount or change amount you pay monthly via the app

I have had to install this ap 5 times in 1 month.. not convenient right now I cannot use the app.. brand new S10 phone..and RBS have no branches.. so I am thinking to switch banks.. too much to deal with whilst trying to access my money

Disappointed at the use of SMS for SCA OTP. It's a lazy decision and one with a high security risk. Have you looked at using other methods?

I lost my card and was sure it was in the house .but in two minds if i lost it outside so opened the app and cancelled it till i found it. and i did so cancelled the app and it was piece of mind knowing my card could not be used .

Worked well but now says 'app keeps stopping'. I've now had to re-install 3 times.
