Nice app but it's still a bit primitive. It is to complicated to create a playlist and choose the songs. Would be nice to create aylist choosing the folders as well.

Nice App. One important function is missing. Automatically put played music into preselected Playlist when it will reach preselected time for example 1 minutes. As well it would be nice if it could be placed into download list . I mean top music based on played time. ;) you will direct get 5 star from me

Clunky, last update broke access to download folder. Now the app hangs when trying to play downloaded files.

Very slow response while connecting to NAS

Simple Access to your library, not much else. Basic playlist capability, but nothing intuitive about it. Can't select a folder and "shuffle all", also can't expect it to sort your music by anything other than already established folders unless you do it manually. That's fun when your collection is huge. Also, constantly jitters after a little while of playing. Frustrating at best.

Edit: I originally gave Qmusic a 2/5. The problems I mentioned were taken seriously by QNAP and fixes/improvements are either implemented now or will be in the future. Nice work. Original review: Works, but lacks a number of features that I deem essential. - No way to add an entire folder to the queue - Browsing through a large library is a pain. Eg the album view simply displays all albums in a list. No way to skip to a specific letter and the list is split into pages of 100 albums. Why such a low limitation? It's not like it's costly to display a list - Additionally, apparently qnap decided that a quick search was unneeded, you can only do advanced searches. Again, why?

It is pretty good as long as you set things right. Remember you have purchased a tool, which requires some settings to be put in place. This application requires to have an access to your folder containing music files to be available for playback (Music Station service on NAS itself works together with QMusic phone app). So do yourself a favour, learn how to use your NAS before submitting single-starred reviews.

An app this bad is hard to imagine. 1) Logs me out perennially. I'll log in, try to take a look at music, move to another app while I wait, come back, and I'm logged out. 2) Has zero feedback as to what's going on. Just sits there spinning the busy spinner till the cows come home. No frigging idea what it's doing. 3) mostly I never find out. Because I'm logged out again when I come back to look. Next mostly I just see a stupid "This Folder is Empty" background and nothing. No songs, albums, artists or genres. MusicStation on my Qnap shows them to me fine (slow, but fine). Qmusic, sees nothing. Twice in a week of trying, I did see it had songs, but I'd switch to albums, get the spinning wheel and well back to square one. And then log in and no songs. Local cache? Ha, ha. My guess: I have literally a few hundred thousand tracks on a Qnap TS-212 and I imagine it'd take some time to build a local cache of music on it. But I'd expect some lucid progress feedback, activity feedback and the app to build that even if it took an overnight run or longer and then have a local caxhe, and manage only changes efficiently as deltas. But no, total let down. I had such hopes for this.

A good effort from QNAP, the app works well but needs a few enhancements such as a progress bar of the song in the notification bar along with the play pause controls. Also the app needs to be faster in general. For example, Spotify is quicker at playing music and loading album art and song lists. Even going from one track to the next takes too long.

It's a bit grim if your entire 900+ CD music collection is stored in WMA format or you want to stream Internet radio to a Chromecast - it refuses to play either. So apart from it generally being a chocolate teapot for my needs, it's okay. (Coming from an old - now dead - 2 drive Synology device which happily did what I needed, I thought I was stepping up getting a QNAP box - a TS-453B. It stores 25 years of my files though, which is rather important.)
