*** About ***
Pythagorea is a collection of geometric puzzles of different kind that can be solved without complex constructions or calculations. All objects are drawn on a grid whose cells are squares. A lot of levels can be solved using just your geometric intuition or by finding natural laws, regularity, and symmetry.

*** Just play ***
There are no sophisticated instruments. You can construct straight lines and segments only and set points in line intersections. It looks very easy but it is enough to provide an infinite number of interesting problems and unexpected challenges.

*** All definitions at your fingertips ***
If you forgot a definition, you can instantly find it in the app’s glossary. To find the definition of any term that is used in conditions of a problem, just tap on the Info (“i”) button.

*** Is this game for you? ***
Euclidea users can take a different view of constructions, discover new methods and tricks, and check their geometric intuition.

If you have just started your acquaintance with geometry, the game will help you understand important ideas and properties of the Euclidean geometry.

If you passed the course of geometry some time ago, the game will be useful to renew and check your knowledge because it covers most of ideas and notions of the elementary geometry.

If you are not on good terms with geometry, Pythagorea will help you to discover another side of the subject. We get a lot of user responses that Pythagorea and Euclidea made it possible to see the beauty and naturalness of geometric constructions and even fall in love with geometry.

And do not miss your chance to familiarize children with mathematics. Pythagorea is an excellent way to make friends with geometry and benefit from spending time together.

*** Main topics ***
> Length, distance, and area
> Parallels and perpendiculars
> Angles and triangles
> Angle and perpendicular bisectors, medians, and altitudes
> Pythagorean Theorem
> Circles and tangents
> Parallelograms, squares, rhombuses, rectangles and trapezoids
> Symmetry, reflection, and rotation

***Why Pythagorea***
Pythagoras of Samos was a Greek philosopher and mathematician. He lived in 6th century BC. One of the most famous geometric facts bears his name: the Pythagorean Theorem. It states that in a right-angled triangle the area of the square on the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares of the other two sides. While playing Pythagorea you often meet right angles and rely on the Pythagorean Theorem to compare lengths of segments and distances between points. That is why the game is named after Pythagoras.

The grid given isn't large enough for most of the techniques I'd like to use, and there's no guidance to help me fine whatever methods I'm missing. It would be better with either no grid, no levels that purposefully land between the grid, or a larger grid to allow easier usage of extreme slopes on arbitrary points. It's really making me hope there's other simular games out there though, it has a lot of promise.

Cool idea, but it's actually teaching wrong geometry facts. The trapezoid levels don't count if you genuinely make trapezoids. Only two sides have to be parallel, but the game seems to only count symetric or accute trapezoids. I hate to go full "1-Star review" for that, but educational games that teach you wrong things are basically useless. Wrong ideas are much harder to correct than no ideas at all. It's geometry. Seriously! We've known this stuff for 2500 years! Just disappointed.

It is well done, but this is not for learning geometry it is for practicing what you know. There are no hints, no clues, no tools and no guidance. If you know how to do it you do it, if not your progress is halted. Enjoy the concept, but wanted to practice AND learn.

Frustrating game, full of errors and unsolvable Q's. Those built-in errors make it slow and boring. It's like debating with a narcissist, who never follows the rules. So dumb.

This was a fun, challenging game that sometimes made my head hurt. As others have said, some levels were pretty obvious and required little or no thought. I got many of the more difficult levels, but sometimes I was just guessing the line angle (coordinates) and couldn't really defend my solution. In other cases, even being a math guy, I couldn't come up with a workable solution. I would enjoy the game more if it gave more explanation of the principles one could use to figure out the solution (not just give the answer). This could be an incredible instructional tool, in addition to engaging game, with the addition of the explanations. I realize I can go online and find solutions, or, more helpful, explanation of how to get to the solution, but it would be so much nicer to have the instruction in the app. I'll probably keep playing this game from time to time, but as they get more intricate, I get tired of bouncing in and out of the app and trying to find explanations without getting the full solution.

Good concept; however, it would be extremely helpful to use a different color for the given points or lines. Also, give an option to skip a question, or at least get hints. I'm frustrated with one item and can't get any help to know what my error is, or be able to skip it. Finally, it would be more enjoyable to be able to do the free play option, without the requirement to pass the initial levels.

I like the fact that you have to think. Some were way too hard for me to figure out. I looked up some of the answers online and still didn't understand how they reached the correct conclusion! The graphics aren't detailed enough for some of the constructed nodes to be easily selected. The extra information helps but some hints might be nice.

Love this game! It's way more addicting than I thought it would be. Just a couple recommendations of things I'd love to see: - In addition to the "undo" button, it would be great to have an erase tool, or to click on an object a 2nd time to erase it. Sometimes things get very cluttered. - For the same reason, a pinch/zoom capability would help for some of those more precise lines when things are close together. - More? :)

The game play is simple but the puzzles can be challenging. It's not mindless a game and I don't feel like I've waisted my life after playing for 20 miniutes. Who would have thought that making shapes on a grid could be so enjoyable. As others have said it would be cool if it explained the mathematic and geometric principles behind the problems. Although I suppose that might be the point. The solutions are intuitive. Also, maybe a way to retry problems instead of restarting the entire app

Not too many ads. Challenging. Have not figured out all of the levels. They get very difficult. It has been a long time since I took geometry class, or trigonometry. They don't give you the benefit of a compass. So very very difficult at times. Precision required. Not approximation. But I like the challenge. I'll figure out the last few in time.
