Unfortunately now I have got 2 major bugs - 1)"Rescan Library" doesn't work. It does nothing 2) Press "pause" while listening to something, then press "play" to resume. As a result volume level drops drastically. It has something to do with zero level of virtualizer in EQ I guess. P.S Please add "year" to album info page. I want to pay you for this feature if you need :) Thanks, still your app is the best one! I will give it 5 stars when you fix the problems. If you need extra info, let me know

apk apkpure Almost perfect! Only complaint is that the equalizer will sometimes not work and songs in the newly added playlist can disappear. Restarting the app works around the 1st bug though. Really hope this gets fixed. Didn't think I would ever pay for a music app when I could just use the default one, but especially since you can earn Google play credit for free by answering Google's surveys, its definitely worth it! Also the fact that the free version doesn't even have ads makes this app even greater!

1.9.3 apk Pulsar has been an AMAZING replacement for my music library since Google Play Music is disbanding and YouTube music is lackluster! Lots of options in customization and organization which is huge for me since I have such a large archive. The equalizer is fun to pay with and easy to use. If your music files are .mp3 or .m4a this is a GREAT option for you!

apk mirror I wish you'd move down the whole "now playing" ui by just a bit so that the album art isn't overlapping the status bar and buttons at the top (battery, signal, back, favourite, share, etc.) Also, the some songs from same the same artist are being separated under different "artist tabs". Why?

apk latest version I've been using this app for years. Stumbled across this app when I was searching for an app that would allow me to exclude certain folders - sick of audiobooks being included in other players. Never had trouble, does what it is supposed to with no problem.

1.9.8 apk Great app but ONLY with earbuds, headphones, or external Bluetooth based high output speakers. ANY equalizer input (Loudness, Bass Boost, Or Virtualizer) causes garbled havok with a cell phone's stock speakers. (Samsung Note9,10, and Kyocera Duraforce). Sounds like electricity is constantly arcing while the song is playing. Fix that with an update, (as well as your library bug of duplicating songs) and u get 5 stars.

mod Served me past my expectations for what little price I paid. Has about everything you'd expect from an offline library based music player. Sorting, folder view, metadata editing, in-app equalizier that actually works.

1.9.9 apk The notification and lock screen player doesn't show on my device with this version but the non pro version it works emailed customer service about this issue but no response from them feels like I wasted my money on this app.

1.9.8 Everything is good. Except one thing. Call recordings added in recently added list even though I have added that folder as excluded. Its annoying & make both options useless. Kindly take a look.

Great app, it has a very clean set of controls and display like an old school mp3 player. It will pull down a picture of the artist if it finds a match. And it plays great via Android auto. It never crashed like YouTube Music or Amazon Music. The only critique I have is that it does not display any album art or the artist art in android auto mode.

Well worth the money. This is exactly the music app I've always wanted. Clean, beautiful interface with color customization. Music sounds good and it uses ReplayGain! No more applying it to each file before adding them. It reads the tags instead. I also love the ability to change the default target volume, so I'm not stuck with the low default ReplayGain volume. I also like the ability to turn off album art. I've never had use for it. Thank you to the developer(s).

I have a more extensive offline music collection, and I kinda don't like using streaming services, so it was important to me to find an offline music player to organize all my song files. I checked out a looot of music apps before settling on this one. It's got a clean look, the user interface is intuitive, the sound quality is great, I mean, it's got everything you'd want in a music player app.

*** UPDATE *** Still a fantastic app... Just needs some kinks worked out. It continuously asks me to grant access to SD card when I try to delete songs from the sd card. which I have done a million times. Also there's a weird lag on the album art it shows the album art for the last song on the current song. Weird. Other than that my last review stands: app is so spectacularly beautiful I got it for a STEAL for $1.99 on sale.

This is so far the best app I've found to play downloaded songs on my phone. Playlist making and looking through files is very similar to windows and that's is nice. The only things I have to say is that I dont like is that there aren't any accounts to make for a profile and if the playlist button was in the main menu.

Used Pulsar for a long time now but the last month its distorting the music when playing on my Samsung S10+ through to my Bluetooth ear buds, not sure why. Downloaded another music player and it plays without distorting the music so it's not my mobile. Can't really use Pulsar now and I have the paid Pro version

Purchased pro version. Every adjustment to sound creates annoying snap sound. Not a very good EQ sound in comparison other apps mentioned. Sadly, adjustments to loudness or bass aren't as good as the Samsung or iTunes app. At least pro version hasn't any ads! Absolutely excellent album cover art. Finding my sdhc purchased music is easy and the gapless tracks playback is superior to 🍎 & Samsung for uninterrupted music but needs to be in seconds.

I liked pulsar and always use it as my music player. I always downloaded it when I got a new phone. It was definitely my favorite ,that is until I got pulsar plus and it changed everything. It's awesome not having 2 download an equalizer and volume booster which frees up memory for other apps.

For many months I thought this was a good app. Today I was listening & checked my email to find a 30 day trial to Amazon music. I installed it & switched over from here to Amazon music unlimited.. HOLY SPIT!! A HUGE, BIG, GIGANTIC difference in quality, bass & loudness. I SERIOUSLY don't recommend this anyone! If you have this, install a similar app and hear the difference for yourself. You'll quickly notice the poor performance of this app. If your looking for a music app.. WALK AWAY!

This is probably the best paid offline music player on the store but there's a small issue. The "Loudness" slider in the equaliser doesn't do anything most of the time. It rarely decides to work and bumps the volume up but 80% of the time it does nothing.

Love it. never an issue. A must have for music lovers worldwide ( and now many months later you might ask? Perfect. Pulsar pro has not ever let me down in any way. Period! I started with free version for several months, was impressed with an app for a change, and paid what could certainly be doubled.. (with this apps value, and flawless performance, BECAUSE AS A PROFESSIONAL PAINTER I LISTEN TO MUSIC WITH THIS APP EVERY DAY ALL DAY!)

Options for adding album art nowhere to be found. Nope, that part is not for me.. But, the sound is absolutely great on this thing. So from 2 stars to 4. You get 5 stars when you do something about that album art problem. 😒

I love the app's aesthetic and its functionality, but for some reason, it won't properly sort the tracks by track number anymore. I get sort orders like this: 9, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10. It manages alphabetical and duration just fine, but track order is best when the albums have a deliberate artistic intention behind the track order. Can you help? I'm using Android 10 by the way.

From the moment I opened this app till the moment I typed up this word EVERYTHING about this music player has impressed me. Its UI is simple yet gorgeous. Playback is fast and responsive. Menus are logical and intuitive and most importantly this player is customizable in all the best ways. Best music player I've ever tried. And believe me I have tried many and many have failed. Thank you for making the music player I will be using for the rest of my life.

I've had this player for a while now and I love it, it stores your music as you installed it on the phone, some apps break it all down into what they think are the right categories, graphic equalizer is a must, and this one is excellent. Be nice if you could shuffle the order in the albums, you can only do that in the playlist. Great app though, thank you.

I generally love the app, until today I would have given it 5 stars. Now since the latest update, my "external audio device" won't turn off. This is the only app I've used that requires audio... Now it won't play using the speakers, although everything works in all my other apps. This happened after using the app on Bluetooth. Your feedback link is a joke, nonexistent, so I'm writing about the problem here.

Pro (paid) version. Use it everyday during walks. Seems to work well. A couple additional features desired would be; 1) the ability to move the app to my SD card, 2) being able to terminate the app from within the app (I've tried closing the app through swiping but the music just kept playing), and 3) limiting data access to just my music folder. I'm not real comfortable giving any app access to "storage." Considering uninstalling for this last reason. Would rate 5 stars if I could terminate without having to force close and I could limit access to specific folder/subfolder.

Sound is great. Pulsar reproduces mp3s very well. The only thing that I don't like is that the album art takes a while to appear. I have the Album art embedded in the mp3s and there's an album art jpg in the folder for the individual albums. Don't understand why it takes so long for the album art to show up. That's the only downside. Everything else works great.

From what I can tell – it is the best all for music. Of all. Handy controls, decent file management, a bunch of themes (only few of which I actually liked). It's just that basic feature, such as equalizer requires you to purchase this app. However, it's not pricy at all and fully pays off. My choice for music listening on Android.

Great offline music player if you have an extensive collection like mine but completely useless when it comes to integration with Goggle Assistant which is paramount today. When is this going to be fixed? A paid "premium" app that Assistant can't control!!! LOL it's 2020 guys, not 1920. I've paid for my music collection over decades and now the only way I can get to hear my music is to pay again by subscribing to an inferior sounding music service? NO THANKS! If this was fixed, it would earn five stars. but as it is only three.

I'm giving Pulsar Pro a FIVE out of 5. I've been using the free version for a while now, and it was good enough to convince me to purchase Pro. Whoever developed this app clearly put a lot of work into it; intuitive interface, fun customization options, and common sense navigation make it the best music player you can buy for your mobile. This is a good product with zero downsides.

My default go to for all things music. Have been using for a long time. My favorite thing about it? Nice modern design with many theme options. And the developer doesn't go changing the design every few months either! (Thank god, it's really annoying re-learning an app all over.) Hope for long continued support. Thanks for a great music app!

I really like this app however I have one complaint. I have many playlists on the app and if I need to reset my phone or get a new phone, both of which happened within the last month, the app cannot back them up despite the fact I saved the file in a different place and it was backed up. I had to re-enter each and every song which is a lot for 25 playlists. At least I had the foresight to take photos of all of my playlists so I wouldn't lose my the music in the playlists that I hold so dear.

Excellent player. My only issues are that a) the player does not respect ARTISTSORT, ALBUMSORT, TITLESORT etc. b) the player does not read the ALBUMARTIST tag and instead infers the album artist from the first track’s ARTIST tag.

Great music player. The interface is well designed and not overloaded and cumbersome. The sound is excellent too. For the best sound for my device I disabled my device's Dolby Audio app and enabled Pulsar's equalizer with the normal setting. I typically play music using a JBL Flip 3 (using Bluetooth) and headphones but sometimes through my device's built-in speaker as well. I tried all other music apps but to my ears Pulsar sounded the best and it's interface was heads above the rest.

Best app for Android music. After trying more than 30 other apps or so, I decided to try the Premium version of Pulsar, and I must say that at this low price it is really worth it. The design is even better than Spotify. Thank you, developer, for this great work!!

I've been a loyal Pulsar Pro user for years now, but after the last update, the songs stop playing after about 90 seconds. Super annoying, and I'm gonna have to delete it I guess, and recommend the same to all of my friends who use this app as well. PLEASE HURRY UP AND GET IT FIXED. This is UNACCEPTABLE for a paid app!

I've been using free app for a few years now and love all the features the developers have been adding and improving. Bought the Pro version and could not be happier. ADVISE: If you upgrade to Pro version uninstall old one first because Pro will install separately. If you don't notice and open old version you'll think new paid features are not working.

It's just simply mind blowing, 🤯 Trust me because I've tried out a lot of music players after purchasing them... But, after I purchased Pulsar Music Player Pro... I simply fell in love ❤️ with this app & I've uninstalled all the other useless apps from my smartphone that I purchased earlier... So, if you take my advice... then simply go for Pulsar Music Player Pro, I give you my word that you won't regret after purchasing this app even a tiny bit... I love ❤️ every moment I use this app

I've been using the Sony music app on my previous phone. When I moved to another brand I really missed the Sony app. Tried recent all android updates but none if them worked. Someone pointed me in the direction of Pulsar Music app and all I can say is wow. Has the features of the Sony app apart from links to Spotify but I only used my Sony app for music on my phone so no great loss. The app has the ability to update track images as well as it's own Equaliser.

Don't very often pay for apps but this was well worth it. It has almost everything you would need in a music player and looks good too. One minor addition could be a tracker that counts how many times a track has been played. Other than that 100% happy!

Excellent app. I am using it in my car on my android multimedia and works perfectly. Only feature I am missing is when app is opened to start playing music automatically. It would be very useful to add that settings, especially for car players which can autostart apps. Problem now is that I always needa to manually start music after app ia started.

It's excellent, everything is top notch. However, what would make it 5 star, would be the ability to edit multiple tags at once instead of editing them one by one per track. It's a time consuming process. This would make a great update

It's a pretty good app. It keeps showing some of my songs as the filename though and not the song title. Not sure if that's an issue directly related to my mp3 files or the app... But otherwise it's a beautiful music player and app 😍

My favorite music player. One thing I love that most players don't have is that pulsar ignores "the" at the beginning of artists' names. Makes finding what I'm looking for a lot easier.

Nice application. I listen to downloaded music and find the random play seems to play same artist a lot. You can only mark music as favorite, no thumbs down like option to let randomizer know to skip songs I don't care to hear.

After the last update it pauses after 30 seconds of play. For a paid app, this is unacceptable. Please fix this glitch and I will raise the # of stars. Otherwise, I'm going to have to uninstall simply because the app doesn't work.

Very good app. Integrates with Last FM. Simple, intuitive to use, very customisable. Only issue is sometimes accidentally making one album into two albums for no clear reason but this is rare.

Very easy to use, the album and artist art downloading is brilliant. However there are a lot of folders that just will not appear in the library, no matter how many times I rescan the music folder. I can go into my Files app, find the folder, open one of the MP3s in Pulsar and it plays perfectly and has all the right metadata but it says the album has zero songs and never appears in Songs, Artists or Albums. I don't know how to fix this, and it's a real bummer.

I downloaded around 6 highly rated native (offline) music players all together, set up all their widgets on the same launcher page, set them all to play a song that imo, brings out the best and the worst in music players. I then spent about 10-20 minutes playing bits of that song back and forth from the different players and eliminating them one by one until the last one standing was the winner of the most high quality audiophile sound out of the group. This is that player. Absolutely love it!

Ok, I think I found the solution and it's so simple I feel a bit silly. I had the app restricted in it's ability to run in the background to save battery on my phone. Unrestricted, it works fine on Bluetooth. So, for anyone else having this problem, check your battery use restrictions on the app. Giving it 4 stars instead of 3 now. Just purchased the app to replace GPM in advance of loosing it. Overall, nice looking, relatively easy to use. However, after taking time to rebuild my playlists, I went to listen to music on my Bluetooth speakers and was disappointed when, after a minute or less of playback, there was no sound. App showed the track was still playing. I thought it was one of my speakers that needed charging, but that wasn't the case. I paused and re-started playback and it did it again after less than a minute of playback. 3 more times the same thing happened. I'm using an LG Q60 with android version 9 and Sony speakers. I truly hope that a fix comes for this issue, as I'm not the only one that has it. I don't know about most people, but I tend to listen to my music via speakers or earbuds/headphones, not the phone speaker. Disappointed that this is a paid version and something so basic as playback over Bluetooth doesn't work :(

I really wanted to love this app. The thing that kept me from doing so was the sorting system which sorts a lot of the album's songs by alpahanumeric, meaning if you have more than ten songs the order will be 1, 10, 2, 3, & so on. This is annoying cuz if you want the albums in order you have to make a playlist for each of them unless they have less than 10, which is impossible nowadays. It's truly annoying for someone like me who likes to listen to musical albums from start to finish.

I got this app when Samsung decided to start putting adds in their music player app, which I used to use because I liked it. I tried using Google Play, but I didn't like the format or color scheme. I wanted something like Samsung Music. So I did some quick research and saw that this app was pretty popular and it received positive reviews. It met all the criteria I was looking for in a music player app. If you're going to pay for a music player app, I definitely recommend this one.

Edit tag, album, artist drive me crazy. I put the edit tag correctly, save it, and it came out beautifully on the artist list, but the album is all over. If I am trying to do it on the album. It will be the same same for my list of artist. It creates automatically a file DOWNLOAD that I can't delete. I bought the app but it is a waste of money. I spent hours to put correctly the list of my artist, I changed into the album's list : everything is a mess again and again. Very disappointed

With the death of Google Play Music imminent, I needed a good and user friendly MP3 player that doesn't bombard me with ads. This app delivers in a great way! Great layout, themes are nice, good widget, good player notification, etc. If you need an alternative to Google Play Music, HIGHLY recommend. The only thing I'd add personally is track numbers next to the songs when in an album, but other than that this app is great.

I like the app, but the equalizer and loudness are inconsistent over Bluetooth. When I start the app, I have to go into the equalizer settings and touch something in order for the sound levels to come up. Otherwise, the sound is very muted w/ little bass. I thought something was wrong with my equipment until I hooked up to my boat's stereo and had nearly inaudible output even with the boat's volume nearly maxed out. I opened the equalizer, tapped the screen and nearly blew my eardrums out!

It has all the features that I was looking for in a locally stored music library app. The user interface is very intuitive and easy to use. The album image retrieval works as well as most I've ever used do. There were only about 20 or 30 albums in my collection of almost 1000 that got misidentified or didn't find an image automatically.

Not a bad app but playlists are a notable weakness. I use M3U files that have relative paths. All of my music is in one folder organized by genre, then artist, then album. This is the only app I've tried that can't properly parse them. I've used apps that can import my M3U files, which would be a workaround if that feature existed. On a positive note, I got quick responses from the dev via email.

I replaced Google Play Music, ShitTube Music, and VLC with Pulsar+. It just works! I prefer my local content to streaming services (with the exception of Google Play Music, but that's a whole other story) and Pulsar+ is perfect for that. No intrusive ads, no bloated features, just a simplistic music player with just the right minimalistic feature set to make enjoying your music awesome again! Being able to cast is a deal-breaker for me and the cast function in Pulsar+ works very well. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

App is solid. One of the few apps I've purchased. I've tried a lot of music players and this is by far the best. Crossfade is well implemented. The ability to exclude folders is also very helpful. It would be nice to be able to control this app from my smart watch but that in no way detracts from how great this app is. A+ stuff!

Don't waste your time and/or money. When playing audio tracks, it will pause randomly. The longer you use it the more often it will happen. this started a week ago, I have emailed the developers and have received no response. If i could rate it 0 stars, I would. And I have purchased the pro version.

1. I have my music in one "music" folder. Therefore I need an "add folder" option instead of the provided "exclude" button. Otherwise I have to manually exclude all the several folders that I don't want played out loud. 2. Is there an option to turn off certain options especially "Delete"? If I want to delete, I'll go directly to the file's location to delete it. 3. Please add an option to search for a song within the currently-playing playlist and to, example, play it after the current one.

The equalizer is too inconsistent. The folder selection should be what I choose and not what to exclude. Too many albums are split into different folders for no apparent reason that makes organizing more complicated than it should be!

I'm switching over to Pulsar now that Google Play Music is getting axed. So far I absolutely love it! Great sleek design and everything sounds amazing. I think an option to display the album art next to songs in the songs tab/playlists/queue rather than just a play button would be nice, but I love everything else about this app.

I love it !!! I don't want to exaggerate, but in my opinion this is the best music player. Once installed, never uninstalled ✌ Personally, i only have one issue, with the "tag editor". When i try to edit a song, it says that my file is not an mp4 or that is a corrupted video. I don't know why. And for that, i have to use other player , which is not very convenient. BUT I STILL❤ PULSAR

I use this app every day and it's the best. There are only two things that bug me: 1) when you delete a song, the album art displays the wrong artwork for other songs 2) can't rate 1 to 5 stars on a track
