I use this app as part of the whole of set for abs, pushups, and squats, plus Results and Runtastic. It's a major pity that my pull-ups are never recorded, because the exercises and the peogression rate of the whole lot is really working for me. I know I'm doing the pull-ups correctly, and I have a Pixel 3 - not the worst of phones. Please consider adding a functionality to calibrate the app, or at least a "mark set as completed" on tap.

  2. guest-avatar

It registers pull-ups when I walk, however it stops registering anything with the screen off. If you are supposed to caery it in your pocket, the screen should be off. If you are not supposed to carry it in your pocket, allow manual input. Fairly useless app.

  3. guest-avatar

It is awful at registering pull ups. You have to shake it basically to get it to register anything. Also shame on you for promising to fix this since 2017 but nothing being done. This could be fixed in an hour

  4. guest-avatar

same problems from over 3 years ago. no manual input, accelerometer doesn't log pullups, pro version doesnt install

  5. guest-avatar

A very useful app.It is like a personal trainer. Keep it up 👍👍

  6. guest-avatar

    Doesn't work

  7. guest-avatar

    Exactly what I needed.

  12. guest-avatar

Only counts pull ups when the screen is on. Bad interface.

  13. guest-avatar

    O. I. App

  14. guest-avatar

This could be such a good App but it doesn't let you add your pull ups manually. Instead you have to put your phone in your pocket to record the reps. Great if it worked but it doesn't catch every rep and often the screen is touched as you put it in your pocket. Do your developers actually use these apps before releasing them???

  15. guest-avatar

I like the Runtastic apps. I have the pull ups, sit ups, pushups, and run app. The thing I don't understand is its all individual apps. Why is there no one app to the them into one place and track all my events from there. I get annoyed at times clicking between apps. But other than that perfect!

Needs a manual input at least to compensated. Only app in this family that is horrible. I've paid for multiple Runtastic apps and the fact that they haven't fixed this for months makes me feel like the money isn't being used to improve their own products.

  17. guest-avatar

Where I liked other runstatic apps I found this is a poorly designed one. When I keep it in my pocket, it just stops when the preset target is met. No scope to store an oveachievement. Eg it says to do one pull up and forces me to rest once I have done with that one pull up. Whereas I can do 3-4 easily.

  18. guest-avatar

It just don't work on my Nexus 5X, pull-ups are not record or 4 in one pull-up

  19. guest-avatar

You guys need the rep manually input just like push ups. Please listen to our voice. Just add on manual rep input and this app gonna rock like the rest of the family apps

  20. guest-avatar

    Arthur Andersen

Does not recognize pullups... No count down.

  21. guest-avatar

    Has Counting problems

  22. guest-avatar

Registers 30% of the pull ups I do

  23. guest-avatar

Really good, feeling stronger and feeling results

  24. guest-avatar

Doesn't really train. Just keeps record

  25. guest-avatar

    Oliver Marshall

    Doesn't register pull ups

  26. guest-avatar

Doesn't track reps for most of time.

  27. guest-avatar

    Doesnt work

  28. guest-avatar

    Add manual input for reps

  29. guest-avatar

Love the idea but obviously it doesn't work all the time.

  30. guest-avatar

    It's good to exercise.

  37. guest-avatar

Installed it this morning, it registered the first pull up when I put the phone in my pocket and then refused to see and more pull ups. My bar is pretty high off the ground so the 1 mintue between pull ups is a bit excessive. I highly recommend the situp and crunch apps but this one needs work.

  38. guest-avatar

    Kaio Giurizatto

Counter is buggy and there is no manual input option. Also problematic if you are using a tablet that doesn't fit in your pocket. Add manual input and grade will be better. As it stands now the app is pretty useless to me.

  39. guest-avatar

Useless. Just did a couple of pull-ups with my phone in pocket and the counter was still at 0. Zero! No optional manual input option, either.

  40. guest-avatar

I have to so twice as many pull-ups to finish the training. Damn, I'm gonna really gain muscle this way!

  41. guest-avatar

Measurements of Other apps such as push up, sit up, squat are quite accurate. But this app is not. needs a calibration or personalized setting.

  42. guest-avatar

It is a good trainer but it does not count pullups very accurately at all.. Fix this and you get 5 stars

  43. guest-avatar

In common with others it does not register my pull ups, so I follow each rep and make chain pulling motion with my phone to register them. My main problem with this and the other apps is they do not synch properly with myFitnessPal. Very hit and miss. I have given support a chance to reply, but received an automated reply, then nothing.

  44. guest-avatar

    Emmanuel González

there's a small difference between the free and the paid version so it would be great if the free could be complete

  45. guest-avatar

Many false reps. So OK only if you use predefined sessions.

  46. guest-avatar

It's awesome that something can finally track my progress at pull ups

  47. guest-avatar

    Юрій Дегтяр

Can't login, even with WiFi. No Google fit export.

  48. guest-avatar

    Edward Ridgeway

Counter does not work and needs a manual input option.

  49. guest-avatar

U won't feel thrown next day

  50. guest-avatar

Must have manual input option!!! Even just to complete a set.

  51. guest-avatar

    Doesn't do an accurate count.

  52. guest-avatar

    Alex Kalashnikov

no ability to fix inaccurate counter

  53. guest-avatar

If you need to improve the amount of pullups you do this is your app

  54. guest-avatar

Can't detect if my phone was in the pocket

  55. guest-avatar

Every runtastic app is just awesome!

  56. guest-avatar

    Stephen Cummins

Easy to use. Pacing is just right to help you increase reps.

  57. guest-avatar

    Does not work

  58. guest-avatar

    Kgabiso Kaitshane

I love it, its the best

  59. guest-avatar

    Evita Stenqvist

Should have a manual input.. Never ever records my pullups and I do them from hanging to bar to chest, is it because I'm tiny?

  60. guest-avatar

Does not count pullups automatically. There is no way to input pullups number manually.

  61. guest-avatar

This app has me focus on making sure that the sensor can tell if it's going up, instead of focusing on the workout itself. As of right now, this app is more of an inconvenience than anything else.

  62. guest-avatar

But can use some work. Sometimes it doesn't count a pull up and I do them correctly. All the way up with chin above bar, and then all the way down hanging from arms. I count them to myself to know how many I did. If the app missed a couple I just do the up and down motion with the phone in my hand so it can record it. It's cheating but not really because I actually did do them. The training program itself deserves a 5 star, but the accuracy of the application is about 3 stars.

  63. guest-avatar

Accurate count of completed pull-up repetitions using accelerometer is just rubbish, there should be some kind of calibration for the pull up, or some other way to register the pull up other than using the accelerometer. The only way that I found that works is to just shake my phone around, which is just stupid.

  64. guest-avatar

It does, for the most part, what it advertises to do. That said, sometimes it doesn't count reps, double counts them, or counts my dismount as a rep. This however might be more of a problem with my phone's accelerometer than the app itself. Still worth the download.

  65. guest-avatar

To use the app seamlessly you really need a phone with a good accelerometer otherwise you will find yourself moving the phone up and down between sets to get the count updated either that or I am not moving enough for the app to count it ;-) App is good at what it is needed for though which is to give targets to hit each rep and session.

  66. guest-avatar

    Michael Hewartson

You cannot manually enter reps or tap to complete a full set. This is a critical omission as the sensor is terrible at detecting completed, who really wants to wear their phone around their neck while working out?

  67. guest-avatar

Sometimes the counts may not be counted. Just finish the counts and move your mobile to near the counts.. Likewise u won't get disappointed due to small problems..

  68. guest-avatar

These Runtastic apps uses to be more adaptable. Now you just have to follow their set guidlines. I don't like it anymore because of this. I used to be able to set how many I would like to acomplish. Now there's just no setting for options. I'm uninstalling all Runtastics apps as of today. Because there all tje same now. Thanks for updating your software.

  69. guest-avatar

I've tried keeping the phone head up and head down but the app does not sense any pull ups. Please fix it.

  70. guest-avatar

If you want to do good pull-ups, don't sense the movement. Can't register pull-ups by tapping. So you must shake the phone after your training. Strange because the squat app registers slower moves

  71. guest-avatar

I use an android Samsung phone. So far accuracy is 95%. Missed one when I was cheating using my legs lol

  72. guest-avatar

Reps are not counted accurately. Too bad. Nice interface.

  73. guest-avatar

Did a ton of pull ups, none of which this app even I guess it gave me a good workout.

  74. guest-avatar

Need to find another app. One thing is it can sense the movements (on my Galaxy s4), but I can't even press the screen to register the pull ups!

  75. guest-avatar

I have not gotten good enough to do them nearly in the force required, and so doesn't count any that I make. Quite discouraging when I have to shake my phone after trying.

  76. guest-avatar

I really cannot stand having to use the sensor--which isn't even always accurate--to count my reps. What's so hard about adding a button that says Done?

  77. guest-avatar

    Stephanie Wooten

Doesn't count pull ups. Too many advertising pop ups!

  78. guest-avatar

Its easy to progress and gives you time to rest. The time between sessions is a lil to long I think but it works

  79. guest-avatar It wont.count pull ups no.more.

    Loved it

My max amount of pull ups are already high, but this is a great way to keep them up or even push past your limits overtime. Especially if you continue to constantly use daily. One thing that I like especially from this app and the other runtastic apps, is for the last set you do the required amount and then however many you can do. I look at this as a chance to beat the max amount you previously made as a record.

  99. guest-avatar

I'm running a galaxy s 4. It should be able to recognize a pull up. I do a smooth pull up. I used to 7 and 10 pull ups accession a couple of times a day. Wheres the sensitivity setting? I was looking for app to help make it a habit. I should not have to pay money to do more than a 10 pull up session.

  100. guest-avatar

I originally bought the pro version because I like the other Runtastic apps, but refunded that because it was flaky in tracking reps. I later tried this one hoping maybe it was just a bad day before. This doesn't even track at all.
