Is it possible to allow the app to keep track of where I am in an email digest whenever I click on a link and it's opened via my browser? At this time, whenever I return back to the app, it starts me back from the top of the letter.

Had several different issue over time, but dev always responds in a timely manner. Great privacy focused mail client

April 2021 - updated & added a star for good customer service. The concept is great but it does not work well on my phone. I continue to get a popup error asking for my pass phrase, whether I have one or not. I wrote to customer service and missed their first reply but they have been great to work with even though they were not able to fix the error. For now I switched back to my old email client as using pEp was just too annoying. I think it's a great option if it works on your device.

Only open source mail app to support gmail out of the box. It also supports workspace gmail. Design is very simple and distraction free.

Works fine but the dark mode is pretty whack. I'd like to adjust the colors myself. Also another thing that is really annoying: If the sender of the email you received has a name set up, you can't see their email. You can copy the email by pressing on the name, but you can't see it.

Extremely basic. Can't connect to outlook. Desperately needs some color in dark mode. Also dark mode read vs unread color highlight should be swapped, light for unread and dark for read. It's backwards. Love the privacy, no trackers confirmed, and secure.

Great email app. Have tried and tested so many over the past year and my desision is made, this is by far the best for me. The minimal permissions and peer to peer is critical as i enjoy my privacy. The encryption is one of the friendliest and easiest to get going. I enjoy the clean and logical interface. Works well with gmail and other providers, I also use with multiple accounts no issues. The price is very fair. All in all great work. Thankyou.

Unfortunately, This app does not seem to actually do what it claims to. The selling point is that it makes encryption "fully automatic" and manage keys between different addresses itself but a simple test shows that isn't the case: I set up PEP on two different devices with the same account and tried sending an encrypted email account. I expected PEP to synchronize public keys, since that seems to be the entire point, but it apparently doesn't so if I send an encrypted message to myself from Device A, I cannot actually read it on Device B or vice versa. Basically renders this app completely pointless, you may as well just use PGP by itself since it's just as user(un)friendly. Two stars instead of one since the email client at least does actually work as an email client.

This app is miles ahead of K9 mail in terms of privacy, UX and the ease of setting up gmail accounts. Much love to the devs and their hard work! I would give this 5 stars, but all this app is missing is a dark theme for AMOLED screens. I love this app so far, and I'm looking forward to new updates coming in the future!

This needs work. There should be a finger print lock. Or a numeric lock. Most importantly. HTML signatures are currently not supported which is horrible. Also a dark theme would help. The zoom options are less than ideal. Honestly AquaMail is better. So is K9. Plus the protocol doesn't play so well with enigmail, making it sort of useless.
