This upgrade path is amazingly bad. The "Tanner existing setup" from old bridge to the new one, fails every time, crashes the old bridge and bricks they new one. The alternative is to re-enter every existing light by serial number, because the new bridge can't find them, and re-create every room, scene and temperature for every light. Amazing incentive NOT to upgrade.

Often, when multiple lights are on, and I change the illumination level on one light, it will automatically lower the light level on other lights I have on. It's not allowing me to only adjust the level for that individual light in isolation. Quite frustrating, as this seems like fundamental operation of the lights that shouldn't be malfunctioning. (mix of color lights and regular).

The flickering light when you select it is really annoying. We have over 40 bulbs in our home and don't need a special assist. Please stop updating the app. IT TURNS OFF OUT OF HOME EVERY TIME! Every update grows increasingly worse. If you want to do a million things nobody will use make another app and have a simple standalone to everyday use. This is ridiculous people overpay for the lights to begin with and the app is a continuous hassle.

The app layout is terrible. Scenes, which i have never used, are positioned on most of the screen. They have the actual light controls smashed at the bottom row where you need to scroll left/right to access them. After tapping into a light it gets worse, changing one light becomes a chore and the brightness button is again smashed to the bottom as an afterthought. If you need to turn the brightness down it will require many swipes because you run out of room on the screen swiping down.

New update is hot garbage. I've spent thousands on my setup, and have loved Hue until now. Tap after tap to get to a clunkier control for simple brightness. Grouping and ungrouping lights is a pain. Even changing a color is difficult. Scrolling cards for scene lists almost guarantees that what I need is off screen now. This app has only a few core purposes, and it falls miserably at each and every one of them with these changes. Please revert. This was a massive misstep. Edit: PLEASE REVERT.

Latest releases perform very poorly. Used to be the app connected almost immediately and was responsive. After the latest UI update, It takes a very long time to connect and sometimes just never connects. Very disappointing. Don't care what it looks like. Needs to work quickly and reliably.

It's ok, I've always liked hue, but the new app makes it very hard to change brightness of individual bulbs - you change one to 50%, go to change a 2nd one, and your first one shoots back up to almost as bright as it was before. I don't remember what else but there are a few other less obvious problems. Pain in the butt when they decide to break things that used to work just fine.

Makes controlling my Hue lights and sensors easy from inside or outside of the home. I can turn them on and off remotely, I can set timers and assign different actions to take place when certain triggers are activated (Motion, light, or sound). The "Labs" section is cool as well. You can try out functions before they're widely available, such as the new "Sync" feature where your Hue app marries up to your Spotify app and they cooperate to sync your lights to the rythym of whatever you play.

One of the most reliable apps I've ever used. Set up and pairing with the Phillips Hue hub is easy peasy, just follow instructions. Setting up custom rooms, brightness levels and auto timers is simple and straightforward. So far we've only got four lights (broken down to two rooms) in our home, but plan to add more soon. Highly recommend

Love that you can not just change brightness, but also color temperature. And if you want, you can schedule these settings to cc have at times you specify. App is pretty intuitive. We have it set up in our vacation home, too. Easy to switch from one place to the other and the rooms in each.
