So I had some recipe books from my grandmother & mother that I only used a few recipes from. And I find more recipes throughout Pinterest. And this app keeps all the recipes I actually want & use neatly organized. I use the shopping list weekly & love how that categorizes. I am a fan of this app

Hasn't been updated in a few years and they're trying to get people to pay now. Find a different app, Paprika for example. So so much better. It's like the app developer commited to the subscription model and hasn't done anything to upgrade the app.

Used to be good, then they moved to a subscription model, not worth it, there are good alternatives it there that aren't ripping you off!

Feel like I was lied to. I liked this app so when I got an email last year saying they were moving to a subscription model so they could afford to make improvements that they've been wanting to do for a while, I hesitated but decided to stick around. It's now almost a year later and when I check last updates, it was from before I ever got the email. What a RIP-off! I'm starting to look for a replacement.

Used this app for years when they started charging a subscription fee without offering anything extra in return. I exported my recipes and paid for another app that's already done their due diligence. Now I go back to delete my account and there's no way to do so....and the contact link on their website goes to the about page, so there's no way to actually reach the team to get any kind of support. It was fine before as a free app, but please do not give them your money.

I've been a huge fan of Pepperplate for several years. It is easy to add and edit recipes. I love how the shopping list works (even offline). I love how it syncs with other devices ("Honey, can you run by the grocery store, please?"). And it was all free! BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS NO LONGER FREE...apparently you will now be needing a paid subscription. I just received notice that in 13 days I will be charged for my account or my free trial will be over. :(

I really want to love this app as much as I love your site... It is really easy to use to plan my week food wise, even if I have never been able to import automatically a recipe from any of the "supported" sites. I really like the fact it synchronizes with my pc and so I can write my recipes there and have them on my phone all the time. The problem with the mobile app is that it launches perfectly the first time, I can write/read recipes, plan a week, etc., if I want to do something else I should use the "home" button to leave as the back button never works. That is a minor issue. BUT! ok, I'm out, so how to go back in? To go back into the app after it has been launched previously, I have to go to the little "Square" that shows me all the apps in memory and select pepperplate from there, because if I try to relaunch it from its icon (on the app list), it will show the "pepperplate" black screen and will never move from there. I've leave it for up to one hour and nothing happens! After that, every attempt to get into the app (whatever method I use) is the same, so the app won't work until I uninstall and re install again. That's so tiring and frustrating. After several times in this loop I'm honestly thinking to move to another app, unless you could provide with a solution because as I said, I really want to love this app!

I love your app! I have used it & your website for years. I have all my family recipes & others on it & love having them at my fingertips, whether it be to check ingredients at the store, cook at a friend/relative's house, or share a recipe with a friend. I only have one complaint. The tablet version of the app had a Cook Now button that would keep the screen on while you were using the recipe. The phone version does not. Would you please add this feature to the phone version! (Android)

Worked alright a few years ago, copied a few recipes over. The import functionality started to work less and less over time. Now (2020) the company decided that they're switching to a subscription model. This would be understandable if it was a better product and inexpensive, but it is neither. This is it for me, copied my recipes over to OneNote and I'd advise the same for anyone considering this app. Why pay for a crappy service when you can get a much better experience from Microsoft.

I have used this application for many years and loved it - except for the qwirks (it would crash frequently; support sucks; it doesn't synchronize with the web version any more; the sites that you can import from are minimal). I was just notified that I have a 14 day trial, and they are charging a subscription fee that is ridiculous. I will be exporting all of my data from the web and app, and walk away. It was a good free app, it is certainly NOT worth $35 per year.
