So far so good. Simple, easy to adjust and kind on the eyes. I write on my tablet and suffer from chronic migraines. Simply adding this filter has already lessened my eye strain. To anyone who wants to know, yes it works over word and excel so I'm not typing black on a pinkish background.

brille Requires little permissions, which is great! Does the job well. Have been using this for quite awhile. Haven't had any issue so far. Helps me stare the screen for longer period of time than without. Didn't need the pro version; this version does exactly the only thing I needed: filter the bluelight, dims the screen, with black color. That is all I need. All in all, adequately pleased with the result! Good job dev! NOTE: four stars. Five stars are only for the Gods.

windows 10 This is one of the few apps that does exactly what it says it will do and does it without any intrusive ads. It has a timer so you can set it to turn on and off whenever you like and different color filters from which to choose. It's almost as if someone developed something simply to help others without expecting anything for it in return. Could it be possible someone did something that's truly altruistic these days? Aaa. It was probably a homework assignment, but a girl can always hope. TAM!

glasses Have been using this app for a very long time and would not change it. I have set the colour to eliminate all blue light for night use. Sore eyes, hard to get to sleep? Try it and see if it makes a difference for you also.

pc no unecessary permissions, great for privacy. A better choice than editors pick which tracks your location among other nosy things, support the creator of this app if you can ,it's an add free app.Just scanned it with Malwarebytes because I though this free app may be too good to be true, but Malwarebytes scan didn't detect any problems.Hardly takes any room on device & works fine on my old Samsung Galaxy A3.Autostart on restart doesn't work though which is a shame. Will turn itself off randomly:(

iphone I've used the free version for a while and it worked but now it's been a while that I turn the filter on and after a few minutes it's off. I really liked it when it worked also because it uses very little space in my phone memory. If it will get fixed I will get it again and I'll consider getting the pro version.

ipad Very good app, It does exactly what the description says it will do .. The app is simplicity itself to use and will save many people, many pairs of sore eyes and banging headaches , I've had no glitches or crashes in the few months I've used it Thank you developer's 😀

mac I wanted to use the filter auto on/off feature for an alarm clock app. Sadly, when the time arrives to turn the filter on or off, this app starts up on screen disabling the clock. Any auto feature should happen in background.

creme I never rate apps, even if they are good. But I have to say something about this one. Thank you Devs for actually being honest about a great product for a real problem. It's really ad-free, and the features are spot on for what I need.

app Good but! I can't seem to get it to switch on automatically despite setting and rechecking settings. If I start it manually it is good. So any ideas on why the auto start setting isn't working would be welcome.

I like the app. The right amount of customization without going overboard. Only problem is the drop-down notification menu on the top of my phone isn't filtered so I get blinded by it when using at night.

  12. Dianna Urbigkit-avatar

    Dianna Urbigkit

Great app..but it does need a little more. Bright light blinds me when my wi-fi kicks in after a reboot, shut down etc....Please fix this so I can give a 5 star as I love it that there are no ads.

  13. ӄᴜʀɪɪ-avatar

My go-to nighttime filter app. Never had a problem with it, no ads, no fuss. Sometimes other apps will give an alert that something is drawing over the screen but not enough of them do it for it to really be a problem. It would be amazing if there was somehow a way to set if you want it to not be on for certain apps (as f.lux can do for desktops), but for a free app I honestly couldn't be happier with it. Love the customizable color options since some filter colors can bother my eyes. Great app!

  14. Flis Cotham-avatar

    Flis Cotham

Great that I can now use my phone at night and fall asleep, rather than waking myself up as I used to with the blue light. Good for eye comfort too. Also, nice to be able to adjust the tint to my prefence. Getting the settings right can be a little bit tricky but you only need to do this once. Very handy widget to turn this app on and off which is great for screenshots. All told a great little app. (I thought it worthwhile to buy the Pro version, which is very reasonably priced.)

The best light filter I have found. Easy to use, even to set up a timer so that it automatically turns on. All you have to remember in setting up a timer is that for PM times iBlue uses military time.

Amazing app for how little space it takes. My only problem is that it's still very bright even at it's max reduction and my screen brightness at it's lowest

  18. Rachel Lemmert-avatar

So, my eyes are really sensitive to light, even when the phone brightness is completely lowered. I saw that you claimed the app was only 0.2 mb! I tried to download it and I had insufficient space. I have 393 mb left, and needed 107 mb to download. I was unable to download. I had it downloaded before, but got rid of it because I'm an idiot and thought in didn't need it. I tried to get it again, but can't. Worked beautifully the first time, my favorite of all light filter apps. 5 stars minus 2.

  21. Shelby Robinson-avatar

    Shelby Robinson

Decent... it the filter is great, but none of the notifications are dimmed and I was really hoping that would be a feature... it gets the job done, but with the notifications being MUCH brighter when you have the filter enabled is pretty obnoxious... it's frustrating to pull down the notifications tab and have it at normal brightness, as well as with the lock screen... it would be nice to have the lock screen be the same brightness as the home screen and apps being used when opening my phone.

  22. Sarah Snider-avatar

As Iwatch videos it flashs on and off. Nice to be able to pick your filter color, but want it to stay steady.

  23. Gerard Atlas-avatar

    Gerard Atlas

One of the most powerful blue light filters available, but it cannot filter light from the pulldown menu or notifications on my LG G8 ThinQ making it completely useless. Any blue light breaks the beneficial effects of having a fliter like this; When I find one that filters my notifications this is getting uninstalled. Shame; I really like the green filter options!

  24. john Smith-avatar

    john Smith

This app is eccentric yet is unusable as it is a huge drain on your devices' resources. My tablet whizzes along - until I installed this app (which, even when not in-use, brought my device virtually to a total halt). UNUSABLE. Where is the scientific proof that this app achieves anything at all? ANSWER: There isn't any. Unusable - uninstalled. It is NOT a blue-light filter. It simply reduces screen brightness & that can be done manually. Filtering blue-light CANNOT be done electronically.

  25. shakuntala bapna-avatar

I,ve tried other Blue Light Filter apps and none beats this one, if you go into other apps, it doesn't turn the filter off, like the others do. Great selection of Filter Colours, can't fault this one..Plus you can turn it off and on when you want,

  27. Novantric-avatar

Very lightwight and simple! Would be perfect, but it needs 1 - a UI overhaul to full material design 2 - a quick settings option for the the Android 7+ drop-down menu.

Excellent app. The small size (hence, the memory footprint) is dazzling. It could use flux filters for better colour presets.

  30. Joseph-avatar

I've really been looking for this app that is completely free and simple and that can fine tune each of the red, green, and blue light components from 0% to 100%. I've tried several blue light filters and this one is my favorite by a long way.

  31. Scott Johnson-avatar

I initially started using this early last year when I got a mild concussion and had severe light sensitivity for 3 weeks. I recently got a new phone and it came with something similar, but it wasn't nearly as good as iBlue. Even when the "default" blue light filter was on, the screen was still extremely bright and hurt my eyes. Needless to say, I've turned that off and installed this one again because nothing else compares!

the filtering is fine, you can choose colors, brightness, & there's a timer. the draw on my battery, however, not fine. it was so bad that even when plugged in, if I was simply reading on my phone, it wouldn't charge and continued to go down. I had to turn my phone off to get any type of charge. the second I uninstalled, it charges fine again. wish I had known it was this app, could've saved myself from buying new cords & outlet thingies.

  42. Christopher Wood-avatar

    Christopher Wood

The way it works is better than others like Twilight because you can change the filter colour and brightness separately from the screen brightness. However it's really annoying to turn off: either you have to have an obtrusive circle widget on the screen, or you have to open the app, go into settings, scroll to the bottom, press, and then press to confirm. I don't want to have the app on all the time, I prefer to use it manually, but this is too awkward.

  43. katherinemch-avatar

It keeps randomly shutting off. Tonight I have insomnia and was hoping to play puzzles on my phone without too much light. That plan doesn't go so well when your cel suddenly FLASHES to regular brightness now and then. Plus, despite the icon hanging out in my notifications all the rest of the time, when the app fails like this, the icon is gone. So I have to close my tab, home screen, scroll through app list, select, wait for it to open, oh look it's still set to "on" and yet isn't on, exit, ah, now it's running again... dragging out the amount of time spent with the bright phone in my face. This has been happening every 10min - 2h, just totally random it seems Too frustrating. After just a vouple days I am deleting. I am on a Moto E by the way. Perhaps it runs better on more mainstream brands?

It's simple, effective, easy to use and to toggle the settings, ad-free, and has a compact size. I have it on both my tablet and my phone, and I prefer the black filter setting. The only slightly inconvient thing that I'd point out is that it doesn't show up in the recent tabs, but that's not really the biggest issue in the world. When you have it on, you can get back to its settings page by clicking on the stickied notification in the drag-down menu of your device. That kind of makes up for it.

  46. Christine Bennett-avatar

So far, a very positive experience, Thank you developer(s)! The only problem I've had is my android system giving me constant alerts that the app is displaying over others. The widget, although convenient, could be smaller. I find that it often gets in the way when I'm using another application. All in all, a great app that doesn't take up much space and saves my vision from blue light fry. 😊 I like and would recommend downloading this. Your eyes will thank you!

  47. Nirrrina-avatar

I like it. Its quick & easy to use. i can flip it on or off very fast. I have amblyopia & asked my eye doctor about protecting mg eyes & she suggested a blue light filter. Once I started using it I found that when I was reading on my tablet this made it easier on my eyes. Less strain & tension. Especially if I have a headache. I usually take it if for movies. Especially if its fairly dark. But usually leave it on for YouTube. I like this app enough to put it on both of my tablets & my phone

App is very user friendly. Option to choose filter colors is good. But there's one suggestion. Please add an option to exclude apps from the filter. For some apps like camera, photo viewers, media players etc filter can be annoying. It would be easier if apps can be excluded from the filter.

  49. Mags D-avatar

I really like this app, it has a choice of colours too. I couldn't live without it now. I'm a nighttime reader and I like that u can toggle on and off with widget without having to open app and spoil ur reading pleasure u can set it to turn on an off with the auto feature and u can set a personalised message to pop up at whatever time u choose; mine says "2am finish chapter and get some sleep' lol

  50. Jolena Rogers-avatar

    Jolena Rogers

It done what it said it would do. But it didn't work on my notifications bar or my messages. Everything was still to bright when I would open them up. I need something to include these 2 features also. Hopefully you can fix this in the future and then I will give 5 stars. Until then uninstalling. Still a good app though. I would recommend it for anyone that doesn't want or need everything darkened. I do like that you can pick the color that you want and not have to use just the blue color.

  51. A Google user-avatar

There are different coloured filters that they can be adjusted to your liking. The brightness can be adjusted The widget is good I can just click on it to turn the filter on or off. No annoying adds, no in app purchases which is good because that is the two things I hate about apps.

  52. Aslan Boybekov-avatar

    Aslan Boybekov

This app needs to cooperate better with other apps. It doesn't let me interact with browser permissions such as location (when they pop up), it doesn't let me interact with system permissions when installing .apk files, and it makes the screen shot wizard take relatively dim screenshots. While I'm sure some of these are for security reasons, I'd be willing to let bluelight filter have some control. Other than that the app is excellent!

  53. A Google user-avatar

    A Google user

I wish there were a way to have more control over the widget. It blocks the keys on my keyboard. I hate that!! I got a response telling me to slowly move the widget, but it stubbornly snapped back onto the keyboard, over the R key. What a pain!!! Otherwise it was fine. I uninstalled it.

  54. Sina Madani-avatar

Best one! It can apply the filter without dimming the screen, allows to customise colours, no ads and a very simple single page UI. This is exactly what I want, I have great respect for the developer's straightforward approach to what should be a simple, standard feature.

  55. Kirk Nelson-avatar

This is the best app you can get for night mode. No ads, works on lock screen, home screen and from a screen power off. Night mode will stay active until you tell the app not too make it active anymore. super legit. really wanna say thanks to the developers of this app. It's crazy helpful... and it's free. like a two fer one deal

Just installed but it works wonderfully. I can't tell yet if the filter will help me sleep better but with the timer set up I'm sure I'll know in a few days. Only thing is that the time picker needs an am / pm button. I managed to get around it by typing in military time.

BEST BLUELIGHT FILTER, EVER!! I get headaches rather easily and looking at my phone screen usually triggers the onset of one. When I turn this filter on, it instantly subsides and I immediately feel relief! Its AH-MAE-ZING!! And the app is almost non-existent in valuable storage space/size...for my tiny @$$ old 3G phone! And did I mention there's NO ADS?! 🤑 💯 *SLAM**DUNK*👊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  58. Neaman Lerhmari-avatar

Cool app, really tiny and does the job. Will gladly give it 5 stars later, I find the black color useful but the filter selection for the free version is rather poor, yet with good controls (brightness etc.). The app also does not draw on the control bar, even though it has full permission. This is annoying because it's so bright and that's a real downer. Good work overall.

  59. Scott Hall-avatar

Finally, a proper blue light filter that doesn't want all kinds of weird permissions. To the developer, well done! Efficient app and lots of options. The only thing the filter doesn't apply to is my drop-down menu for some reason. Other than that, brilliant!

I think u are an underrated app. For solving the stupid Android 8.0 problem with your floating screen widget (no more pulling a bright screen to adj brightness) and being ad-free (which is rare), you deserve 5 stars. I would like it better though, if you could allow movement of the widget to some other part of the phone - it coincides with my other apps' buttons. Also, the eye badge to indicate the filter is kinda creepy - maybe an icon change; like "B" character or similar. Good job. Thanks!

  61. human person-avatar

Does what it says. ad-free bluelight filter. i will say that it doesnt get as dark as the app i used previously, but being ad-free is huge. the other app also didnt have a timer, so thats a nice feature. also this one affects the home buttons, which my old one didnt. that said that this does dim and blur the text a lot, so things can get a bit hard to see. also u can turn the widget off on the main page, if u dont like it guys... EDIT: refuses to continue to dim screen when using other apps.

This app isn't really usable. It has 2 ways to use it after you move away from it: either you will use a circle that's always on top of your screen (annoying) or it will disappear from the menu and you will have to open it from the start. Another thing: it works when you don't want it (apps like camera) and it doesn't work when you do want it (just stops all of a sudden). The screen looks good, but the app itself is just badly done, sorry.

  65. Kevin Barr-avatar

I love it. It's easy to use and works as it says. One problem is that the screen overlay permission prevents some apps from working correctly. I know its this app because when I turn the overlay permission off all the other apps work correctly. So I had ro deduct 1 star for this. UPDATE: This can be paused from the app so I can install or do whatever I need to disable screen overlay for a few minutes. 5 stars ✨

  66. A Google user-avatar

Filter works good, automatic settings for timer do not. When timer is on, it doesn't turn the filter on and off at specified times you set. You end up having to do it manually, which kind of defeats the purpose of even having a timer. Bummer. If that worked, I'd give the app more stars.

Very small app size, great for those pressed for storage. App works well, with preset and user defined color filters. No ads. I can run it from my SD card. Only negative is it occasionally turns itself off after extended periods, otherwise would get 5 stars.

This app is supper awesome only in 100kb. I am suggesting my all friends to download this app but not blue light filter and twilight because i loved this app so much. But its my huge request to you to add screen dimmer system in this app no matter if this app becomes some kbs large. please its a major request. please reply. i want this app to become editors choice because of you huge efforts.

Seemed to be an excellent app until I attempted to change the times that start/stop the filter. I cannot change the settings that I had originally made. All I can do is manually turn the filter on or off, or select the color density! That is extremely annoying! 😕

Good - BUT. After uninstall, Adaptive Brightness was still on. Nothing said that changing the app's settings also changed the phone's (I hate adaptive brightness during the day). Took me a while to identify why the phone kept dimming at "random". Uninstall should reset all changes in the phone's settings! The reason I'd uninstalled was the widget - needed, but in the way while other apps are open. Can't live with it, can't live without it. ;) Perhaps, instead, in the top bar above notifications?

Great app, does exactly what it promised ( filter the blue light) and helps my eyes feel better. The only problem I have is that the app sometimes changes the display brightness without my permission which makes it hard to see the screen. Otherwise, great app. 😊

I've never used this app, I've used another Japanese one, but the reply of the developer here is respectful and appreciated unlike the Japanese developer the comments we wrote like it hit a solid wall and no even echo.

at first i really liked this app, especially since i could choose filter colors. however i did not notice a difference with use. I did a blue light test for my phone with this app enabled and it failed miserably. It did not block as much blue light as i thought, not even close.

How can a blue filter make black turn red? Something is wrong with the implementation. Blue filter does not mean adding red light. It means removing blue light. Black should remain black. This app increases screen brightness by adding red so probably makes it harder to sleep!

Straight forward, no ads and lightweight. You also get to choose the colour of your filter which is cool. There are other small features that I don't use but could be quite useful to those who need then.

I like this very much. It is reliable and not as heavy as other apps. I have it two of my devices.

Best filter app i ever had. It works on whole phone including notification bar. We can hide in background running notification. No ads. Best one ❤️😍

it's good when you first turn it on, but the auto timer doesn't work at all; the filter turns itself off at random times; when my alarm goes off at 4am, the blue light turns off giving me a super bright screen; uninstalling

I just installed this and I can already feel a difference. My eyes are relaxed and I don't have a throbbing headache. On the split screen, I see firsthand how the bright white screen was causing pain.

I'd like if I could disable activating the filter on a timer. At the moment, I can deactivate and activate at a certain time, but I don't want to activate on timer, just deactivate on timer.

great, just couple of bugs that should be fixed in order to be perfect - looks like system drawer and Google's Translator popup is over anti-blue overlay thus blue color is not filtered out - overlay prevents clicking on some of system dialogs (VPN confirmation e.g.)

I like it a lot. Very useful for avoiding headaches from eye strain. Hopefully, I missed the part that makes the little circle disappear. I think it would work as a widget or icon so I know where it is.

I like it, except that although I have it set to filter automatically at dusk, once I reboot the device it doesn't come on until I open the app. That defeats the purpose of having the setting.

Seems to work okay. Don't see any point to the on screen widget. Timer selection control is very hard to use. Simple up-down buttons would be much better. Not as "cool" but would actually be usable.
