Good, but could be so much better.... Please do not show the decimal value in the elevation. On a phone you cant see the decimal point. Please, provide a dashboard so you can see... How far you have gone, how far it is to go, time taken, average speed and, above all else, ETA. If you are doing a long trail then you may need a pick up and want to know when you will get to your destination. Also please highlight your position along the terrain profile so you know what is coming up.

EDIT: they fixed the battery drain problem a while back. The continued problem is that the app is very very very slow to start. The workaround is to disable both mobile data and Wi-Fi before starting app. You can then access your redeemed paper maps quicker. 2* (In addition to the other well reported problems, this app now drains the phone battery really fast. Previously we could navigate all day on a charge but after this major update it consumed two batteries and a power pack in six hours.)

Wanted me to login after I WAS logged in before my hike and with a downloaded map of the area. I had no WiFi in the mountains or data reception! Gps on. This could have been very dangerous. I was unable to access the program or any maps and only the login screen which I could not get past! Buggy. This app does not work as well as it did, it has become confusing and not as smooth as it was. Reviews are accurate. Update - today, splash screen took 2 mins to pass with no WiFi / data active. Insane.

I'm three days into my first month's subscription. App wouldn't load while out walking yesterday. App crashes repeatedly in house. App won't import gpx reliably. app gave up tracking at the halfway point of today's app. Pretty disappointing so far. If I'd bought the years subscription is be asking for a refund. I'd rather they just sorted the app, though. Edit: I appreciate response on 15-Sep-2021 and will look forward to updates.

Rubbish. I opened the app up for the first time in a couple of months today to plan a walk away from home. App was completely upto date, I go to plot a route only to be told I need to subscribe to premium. I was sure I was subbed already, but I recently received a new bank card after losing my old one so figured I'd perhaps been unsubscribed so I purchased a month's premium, only to receive an instant refund from Google because I'm already subscribed. Reinstalled the app, still no premium...

Not a bad app... been looking for new trail running routes and it shows footpaths I didn't know existed! I have created a few routes and the only way I could suggest to improve this app is to track along a trail when entering points. At the moment it does a straight line resulting in having to zoom right in to follow the winding footpaths, would be great if it could track along a trail... would make this app 5 🌟

I really like the app but there are some key improvements that could be made, particularly around finding existing routes, eg routes to a specific point rather than where they start & finish, or making it easier to select the route you want where many routes start from the same point. Also a filter on circular routes only would be good.

Latest update problems as described by others. Am on holiday and can't get online maps. OS say they'll get back to me in upto 5 days. Great! Any chance of reimbursement for having to purchase a new map? Is this a money making scam from OS. Not happy! Update. Still not had a reply from OS. Not fit for purpose. Am currently using a flight radar mapping app as I refuse to buy an OS map whilst also paying for digital maps. Rubbish.

Due to the splash screen, my app hangs/crashes on opening 50% of time. I have emailed OS Maps to remove this anti-feature. No reply. Please remove the splash screen "feature" so app works again. 5 stars on way once done: :-) When used with 25K Explorer mapping (and assuming it'll load), OS Maps is a formidable, helpful companion for navigating new footpaths.

This app used to be great, now it's rubbish for which I paid £23.99 iirc. When recording routes it gives no information at all, no distance or anything. Unless I'm doing something wrong, but it used to be perfectly clear. It's not even clear to me if it is tracking at all. Maybe I need to check with Google and YouTube to learn how to do what used I used to take for granted. For those looking for a good outdoors activity app, this offers very little apart from OS mapping. A great shame.
