I actually love this app. I sometimes get lost in Orphic discovering new words. I enjoy expanding my vocabulary & finding new words for rhymes, songs, poetry, etc. The notifications are pleasant, never annoying. That's a +plus, considering other apps can bombard you w/ notifications & propaganda ...but NOT Orphic. They're cool & I recco this app.✌🏻🙂

Play store sez I have latest. Still a problem, I get the latest word, not the one that was latest when the notification was issued. And tapping the left-arrow takes me to list of words but the one in notifctn not one of them... Can't the notifctn be configd to send back to the app the word the notifcn told me it had for me? Then app could look it up.. ?

Love this app. I have learned many new words scrolling through this app I am a writer and author who particularly writes poetry and I'm always on the hunt for new words that I've never used before to help describe a scene in my poetry in a way I've never written before. Pretty nifty.

Such a great app for learning new words! It is fun to use and it is helpful when trying to expand your vocabulary. The widget is also fun to use on your home page; it has many settings that you can adjust to your liking.

Love this application, only thing I have a issue with is not being able to turn on the pronunciation button in the widget settings.

I love this app I like the widget on my home screen that I'm able to see new obscure words. My one issue is, for a long time on the widget settings, you were able to have a pronunciation button so you could hear the word and for some reason the toggle is still there on the settings for the widget but it won't allow you to turn it on. I'm just confused on why that is so. I would totally give 4 possibly even 5 stars if I could get that button back but other than that, great app.

I was initially skeptical about Orphic, due to a user review asserting that its words are too farfetched for daily use. WOW! I am, SO glad I didn't let it stop me! Orphic offers a FANTASTIC array of words, some of which are a bit out there (but that's what makes them fun, right?), but most are perfectly relevant to daily life; some I'm already familiar with & use regularly. I highly recommend this app to anyone who loves langauge or wants to improve their vocabulary! Thanks for the great app!

This is the very best app of its kind. I haven't noticed any ads and the design is very easy to use and navigate. Best of all, It actually has some new words I've never seen before, even with audio for difficult pronunciations. Don't bother trying any other one because I've downloaded tons (ive tried them all) of similar apps and they all were complete disappointments.

As others have mentioned, some of the words aren't particularly obscure but the app works well for me and the design is pleasant. The UI isn't the greatest, but it's intuitive. Where this app loses a star for me is the error in its notification when copying a definition. "Word and all it's [sic] definition copied to clipboard." It's perhaps a small detail but nevertheless important in a language learning app.
