Reviews From google play store

This is pretty useful. One thing I would really like to see implamented is a "content zapper" like ublock orogin uses to get rid of elements that we specifically dont want to see.

Can't find location of stored offline website on Android with paid version as opposed to the free version. Would like the ability to store offline sites on External SD card or even a directory. There should be an ability to tell the program to look in the external SD card or other locations for it's offline data.

Please respond please respond please respond at least... Not responding at all please respond.... Add search option where u have already added sort option.

Hi, very good, very efficient. I bought pro, because I though the "sort" function able to sort the links by date/name. Unfortunatly not. Still cumbersome to reach latest if using a long list.

It is a great idea. I wish it worked better. The only reason I bought the pro version is the ability to schedule downloads. This feature causes my phone to restart. It needs to be able to set it to only download 2 sites at a time. 3 or more causes my phone to restart. So it doesn't complete the scheduled download anyway. Too bad that is very inconsistent. Sometimes it indicates that it downloaded a website but it is the same (not updated news) information from 3 days ago. Often it fails to download and just doesn't update with no indication why or what to do to make it work next time. Pictures often do not show up. Sometimes it works OK and most of the website are there (without most of the pictures).

This app does what it says. Its very useful. I have downloaded a few large sections of web sites no problem. Just read the instructions. Can then view offline eg: Bible questions answered etc. Thank you for a great app. I would like to purchase it again to set it a a family app. Please let me know if its possible. Thanks

Tried the free version and appeared to work, so upgraded to pro. Has never worked properly since! Have uninstalled and reinstalled, tried many things. Also started getting the error message "Process system isnt responding" which would cause my Samsung phone to reboot every 15 to 18 minutes with the same error message reappearing. Wasn't sure what was causing that message until my Samsung tablet (which I use very little) developed the exact same error message after installing this program, but hadn't used yet (nothing else had been done with it). This is what led me to figure our the cause. Uninstalled this app on both Samsung's and have not had a single reboot OR error message in 2 weeks. Poor, poor investment!

This has potential to be sooo much better. I use this to cache the entire Wuxia World site for chinese light novels and it works great. I wish it had the option to bookmark certain cached pages (in my case links to light novels I'm currently reading) for ease of access. Also another feature that I would like is a "reader" mode which shows only the text of the main articles/documents on a web page.

Ita not working properly, in about 4 hours can't download even single news 📰 paper site.... Fully disappointed....

Quality App, well designed and works great

Not support web with ssl

Does what it needs too.

Thank you for adding a notification asking if its OK to download through data. I don't have data overage charges so I'm fine with updating a page. Does the app resume or restart a download that was interrupted? Also, when does a page update? One suggestion is to add the page size in megabytes (MB) or gigabytes (GB) under the date the page was downloaded.

I used this app during a trip to Japan where I had no data. Very useful for downloading documents and guides to access locally!

When I dowloded something it said sorry try next time you did not dowlod you are ofline and I have WiFi😡

Bought and still using this for months

After using it for a few months & compared it with other similar apps, I find it very useful & easy to use, which makes me bought/ upgrade it to the Pro version. The only downside is I can not open the archived file properly in my Windows laptop, all the links inside html file are dead, so all the websites downloaded using this app are confined within it, untransportable, therefore I give 4 out of 5 star. Good job for the developer, I'm waiting for new improvement.

For some reason every time I start recording a page it freezes

Been using it for a few days now and is absolutely perfect. Accurately downloads pages.

Easy & fun to use. I use it often & recently purchased the pro version. Thanks devs. I regret nothing.

Thanks for the upgrade. Much better this time

Very cool

Installd pro no files in list from other app thought I lost everything found OLD VER still installed opend it all files there. Export file to PRO VER - PRO VER NOT FOUND. INTERESTING Atleast I still got the web pgs from old ver. I hav web pgs that I dont want updated and redwnlodng them in pro ver might ruin it. How to tell OLD VER I HAVE PRO VER. DONT KNOW VER. OTHER THAN THAT GREAT APP.

Scheduler problem with Lollipop now fixed so it is back to being an excellent app. With a future update, I would like to be able to schedule different websites separately and according to days of the week. A scrollbar would be nice too.

Bought the pro version but never worked. I can see the first Web page but when I click on a link an error comes up saying files not found in local storage. But I saw 150 MB downloaded in the top status bar. I have note 8 android 4.4.1.

Works perfectly, and the developer responds to requests for help. If images fail to download, try increase the "max images per site" and "max links per site" and to disable the "clear old pages before download". I had to do this to download the LocusMap manual and then it worked perfectly.

It takes forever to organize once you've gotten beyond 50+ pages. Also, the cache folder storage desperately needs date/time stamping (or at least list folder number in edit, so we know where to access specific files).

Very detailed options and a very nice app. But the buttom buttons on main page could use a little touch up. Do you think you could update the UI a little? Other than that little deal, great app better than all the other "offline browsers". Worth every penny

I use Offline Browser Pro literally every day. The dev has even helped me a few times. If you need offline web pages, this is the program you need.

Small app, big on options, quickest function!

Great to get the upgrade and avoid seeing ads. I love this app, it works perfectly to save my portfolio website for interviews. I had a minor problem downloading a squarespace site, but Niko fixed it right away!

PRO browser purchased but it never worked and no help waste of money

I couldn't download a website using https protocol

Fast download. I read a lot of online books from website. This is by far the best offline reader. I when from lite to paid in no time. But it does crash every now and then with lollipop tho. Hope they will fix it. Oh by the way person from below. You can backup your web list to a file. On the main page click on setting (top right) then it on the bottom. Backup link.

This app is great I can download all my pages I want to read for on the go and can save some data. My biggest complaint is the sorting they need to fix how you can sort your downloaded pages. It you could sort by date then go back to custom that would be great, until then 3 stars. But of you can overcome this then it's for you and I would recommend it.

I am getting about a 60% success rate with downloading and viewing pages. Its hit and miss as I can save some pages on the same site which have the same layout. Not great for a paid app. Edit: I cleared the cache and stopped the cached process in settings and pages are displaying correctly again. Thanks to the devs for responding.

I like the app but recently realized I can't get my pages back if i break my phone. The app needs to back up to a desktop or cloud app. I have spent hours trying to figure out how to retrieve my info from a broken phone!

This is probably the best of the offline browsers. It's taken nearly a year to get it working with the update just released for kitkat. If you're using that or older versions it'll work fine now but if you go to lollipop this year be ready for a disappointment. Only use the paid version so the developer can afford a lollipop device to work on☺. Thanks

It just works! I use this for downloading pages and images for backcountry hiking/climbing. I've never had any issues with saving the pages and retrieving them later offline. There are also loads of different options for saving (download images or not, download links (and to what level), etc.). Good job!

A great app and well maintained. It's also a superb browser for internal websites - in fact the only one that works well. I author and maintain and html based company database shared in Dropbox. This app along with Dropsync allows it to be used on tablets and phones. Excellent!

I like the software, and bought the Pro version. I tried to contact the developer for questions and features, and found his email address is not valid. :(

Usually when the free version is great, I don't buy the paid version. But this app is so amazing I really want to support the developer. Amazing!

Please move storage to external sdcard. Root folder not work well

Thanks for the help.

Correctly downloads web pages. Stable. No monthly or yearly subscription fee.

After upgraded to Lollipop, the schedule download not always working on Nexus 5.

The url of a download item gets replaced by some weird url, which seems related to that of the login page of wifi hot spot. What will happen if android auto connects to wifi hotspot login page, but i haven't logged in yet when scheduled download gets kick started? Please fix this.

I cant seem to download slideshow when downloading a site it downloads about two slide then i have to download individually any way of downloading all at once?

I've tried other offline browsing apps but I think this one is the simplest, cleanest, and least buggy of them all. The only problem I have is that I can't access pages that I've logged into. Is there any way to change the settings so that it won't require me to log in every time? I'm mostly using the app for private wordpress sites.

Please fix the app issues with External SD. Since KitKat doesn't allow apps to just dump files anywhere the set folder for this app is not working until you set the default to internal SD. Please fix this issue. Thanks

Used free version for a while, then bought pro. THE BEST of its kind, but the price is too steep. Dropped one star on price alone. Anyway, it does the job brilliantly!

I use this app daily and fill my phone with articles that I don't have time to read at the time. I bought the pro version just to support the dev. Excellent! Thanks! Galaxy Note 3.

Ever since I migrated my Galaxy Note 8 to Kitkat, the app hasn't worked. It downloads the website, but then apparently can't find the files. Latest email to developer with screen shots hasn't been answered. Can't find any other online sources to resolve this. Anyone else know a fix?

Download all rarely works. Setup a download at 5AM and it can not complete. Gets maybe 4 out of twelve sites. Sad really like the idea but so far it's crap

This app saves me tonnes of time! Great for saving and reading articles on the go. Works great on my nexus 7. The upgrade is definitely worth it, but you can't transfer all of your bookmarks to the new pro version. I had to do this manually. This would be v.handy for users with hundreds of bookmarks :-) Having the free and pro version open at the same time always crashes the app after some actions. Apart from that - a great app.

Just needs to auto backup links list to google account so next time I loose my tablet (lets hope there never is a next time), I won't loose all of that savdd research it was well over 100 pages I had saved.

I consider myself the king of offline browsing because I spend 4-5 hours a day browsing my favorite sights, all offline because I'm too cheap to pay for 3G. I use this app combined with 2 others to do what I need. This app doesn't work well for all websites, plus it eats up your memory pretty fast if you are storing lots of huge sites on it. I use it along with Pocket and an RSS reader. Rss is preferable because it doesn't eat up your memory, but it doesn't work for every site either. You have to get to know this app and understand its limitations, but it does what it says it will and is stable if you don't overwhelm it. I wouldn't be able to do what I do without it.

I love keeping up on news, no time to read until I get home. This app allows me to save pages as .html files and enjoy when I have a chance from mobile phone or uploaded to my computer. Saving pages as .pdf's quite frankly stinks - text and images get cut off, and so on - which is the only save option browsers like Firefox allow me to do. OfflineBrowser takes care of all that, and presents pages exactly as a browser should. Wonderful! Buying the pro version here to support the developer. Good job!

This app is exactly what I was looking for. Initially it would not show the pictures and I emailed dev who was quick to respond. Solution: disable JavaScript. Now everything is working perfectly.

I have no regret for buying the Pro version. Well done...Thanks to the Developer...:-D:-D:-D

I use this app to read novel. For The previous version, when I switch to other app and back to offline browser or back from sleep. It will go back to where I read before. This new version it will reload the whole Web page again and I have to search back where I am up to. This is very annoying and "the remember page position" is useless. Also I have to keep click on full page option every time. Any way to get rid of it?

Brilliant app. Very useful you haven't got a data connection or in between contracts etc. My only question would be how can I limit the amount of data that this app uses as I starred started to run out of memory and couldn't understand why until I realized that I was using 9gb in offline storage!

A must have for WiFi only devices when there is no WiFi connection. Just ad sites and configure what you want or down a single page of interest. A one button press to update selected sites via the config of each. "Coffee, press update button, read the sites on the buss later offline." *NB: Could use a "One site/link at the time" option. App seems to bog down and fail if you try to down to much. 10 sites from 200mb to 500mb doesn't always work for me.

I paid but it keeps telling me I need to pay. I've emailed but have no response a week later. I just want a refund!

Bought pro version especially for "remember page position". This option does not work. VERY unhappy. I could have stayed with free version. Plz fix

I am glad to see this kind of app in the play store, but the developer forgot to put a button or some kind of pointer that can take us back to the main interface from external browsing. Also, where are the archived pages put and how do I get there from the main interface. Hopefully the developer can bring us folders organization and integration. Make this utility more useful by making it easier for us to access the saved material.

It just works so well for me, I'm using a 'stock' Samsung GNote2 (JB 4.1.2), just type in the websites URL, click 'ok&download' and there it is ready to read when I've no 3G or wireless connection, brill! The interface a breeze to use, with nothing complicated at all, just choose how deep in 'link' levels you want to go.... Simples!, well done devs.

This is so simple: Select the web page(s) you want to save, then within the Google menu, select "Share Page" and then various options under "Share via" will appear. Choose "Offline Browser Pro" and then "OK & dwnld". Close window, then open Offline Browser Pro and the page you want to view will be there. I chose the paid version, because I think good apps should be paid for. $2.50 is not a deal killer.

The paid version has also a search function which is not working for me. I give 5 stars to support the developer for the great app, but in my opinion the free version is the way to go

Both the free and paid versions solve my problem of reading websites offline. However, the UX leaves a lot to be desired. At $2.50, I expected a lot more polish. If you can tolerate ads (which I can't,) stick with the free version.

Downloaded it, tried it, not great!!

No other app lets you download not only the current webpage but all of the links below the top page. Plus all of the excellent options. her downloaded page such as disable JavaScript download images or not, update pages. No other app even comes close this should get a millionaire more download seen it better because its so good. I bought this app within minutes I trusted it immediately

I would hate my Nexus 7 without this app. I use it daily to read all my news. I find android news apps don't work very well vs. The ios but this certainly makes up for it. Developer very responsive, added volume button scroll for me in next release. Emailed me the beta Thanks Niko

This app lets me quickly read news papers undisturbed by sudden bad coverage due to tunnels etc. Also, it saves about 100mb a month, as news are downloaded over wifi while I sleep.

Does anyone know how to make previously downloaded pages with the free version abailable to the Pro version?

Exactly what I was looking for. Great link depth

Much better than Instapaper. You can control how you want to save offline. Without image, javascript and max. depth level=0, it is likely you only use 50kB per page. (Instapaper does not keep the original format) You can alter the category and title for each page. It even automatically inserts the storage date for you. The only rough edge is that it took me some time to figure out how to customize each page (including how to delete the page!) -- You need to hold down the title for more than 1 sec to see the option for each page.

Saves and stores complete web sites for offline use 4 levels deep. No reformatting, no shannanigans, just the same website what you get online in offline form with pictures an all. Best app ever (lot of options! Make sure you disallow urls with the word facebook! If you don't do that, the app has troubles). Fife bright stars it is! Thanks!

Didn't worked for me

Had problem w current version, emailed him and got a beta sent to me on mail. It now works flawlessly. 4 stars, because there is more work to be done on the fetching technology...

Wish it had the "share with" options.

What a wonderful, feature-rich app! Very intuitive, too. Can't imagine what could make it "better." Desire 2.2

Works just as advertised. Simple and efficient. Tops the news readers like google reader or pulse. Lots of options and takes a small amount of space.

Love that it can save levels of links from each page. Thanks very much for adding user agent option!! ^_^

Awesome Dev. And very useful app. Hope to see more apps from him.

Great app!

Excellent work. The best offline browser. I use it to read newspaper everyday!

Best offline browser I've used, easy to setup, works pretty well without much interaction. I did notice one site had video links but I couldn't see any way to download the video's, also opening the video links within the browser opened up a blank window without video, but I think that's a minor issue.

I love this app. This is great for organizing links. Wouldbe nice if it could sync via the cloud in one way or anothern(now one can upload the backup of links to e.g. dropbox) Categorization of links is why I bought the Pro. Works as advertized. Needs some polishing in the overall interface.

The developer is very responsive, which is worth the purchase of the pro version by itself!

Downloaded page didn't display correctly, have reported link problem but email undelivered

Old lady feeding the birds by the fountain

How to get the results of the download file can be read on a laptop or computer

I reinstalled it and had some suggestions from the developer and it works fine now...thanks Linda B.

Links dont work

Its great a must download app

Dont waste money for pro
