It was a good app when it worked. Since I updated it, it no long works, just keeps crashing. very sad. Updating this to be 1 star. Would rate it 5, but mo longer works and the developer is no help. "Upgrading" my system is not an option, not everybody can afford a new device every year. It worked perfectly fine pre-update. I wish i never updated it. At the very lest give us an option to go back!

Easy but informative lessons. Or so I hoped. The most recent update added new lessons but removed the old ones? (Like in the screenshot. Lesson 1: Hi, I am Anna) I can't find these anymore. The new lessons are all in Japanese. Are the old lessons still there? The navigation in the lesson menu is a bit confusing.

the image translation was really helpful, other than that i didn't use it that much. i understand the dev needs to put charges for lesson materials, voice speech etc but i don't think putting limitation to the translation feature is necessary. it's something to consider so people would rather use this app than going back to their google translator, but otherwise 4/5.

I really enjoy this app. If you are currently working on learning more kanji and/or your Japanese listening skills, this is a useful app to have. You can read or listen to just keep yourself practicing those skills. For some words, it will provide a definition option in Japanese. These are written in a really accessible way. My one issue with the app is the translator attached to it. I find it to be a bit cumbersome.

Just downloaded this app. I'm really surprised and thankful that there are furigana added to all the kanji for all the news articles written in Japanese, which is really great for Japanese learner. Great app! Almost forgot to mention, there is also a speaker added to read out the entire news for u. XD which is really good too.

I would give this app 5 stars since it is great and useful. But it keeps showing ads even when it is in background which is *very* annoying. (Edit: I don't have anything against you putting ads, but they should not pop up while I am not using this app. I think this should be fixed.)

Really nice app, but full volume video ads on app start is a big no-no for me. I use it for practicing reading news, but one in 5 times it makes me jump out of my seat. Especially when it is not an appropriate place for annoying ads to start playing (like in quiet public places). Concider no sound apps for startup.

I really like this app! I have been learning japanese for a while and this is what I needed for practice. The only problem I see is that in the lessons part a black menu opens and hides half of the screen, and I can't close it, so I cannot actually see anything there.

So far i am LOVING this app...it's got all the features i could ask for. I feel like i'm discovering new features every day lol. Relevant daily news of various sectors, interesting podcasts, a vocab list section i can add a japanese word to and it auto-finds the definition, japanese lessons?! And i can enjoy it for free (ofc premium gives u more abilities i guess?). But dude...thanks for a great app!!

The lessons from storyline are helpful. However, there are some huge potentials from other features that need to be developed. For example, providing text and translation for podcast. As for now it remains not very useful.
