Reviews From google play store

Works as described, it just takes a little time & patience to understand and set up, but once set, it's a very useful app to have on your phone. Improves battery life too. Thanks

Does what it says. First, I'm not your average firewall user. I'm a hobbiest and have an acute interest in the ports, protocols and IPs that my online devices talk to/with/on. With the replete logging this FW allows me to configure every app, Deny/Allow by 'each' IP, protocol and port. Allows a Notification when an app tries to comm on a new IP/protocol/port and to choose Deny/Allow. Worth every penny. Thanks to the Dev. update 3/10/19: to enthusiasts, click the 3 dots, select Support, enjoy...

yesterday was working great. today appears to block everything despite my not changing any settings. if i disable this, nothing is blocked. I enable this, everything is blocked despite my allow rules and lock down NOT ENABLED. yes i just spent nearly an hour of my precious time checking everything several times. *had to uninstall, reinstall and reconfigure again. I will chalk it up to something Goober updated since they like to autoupdate certain things in the background under our noses

Moving from a rooted device with AFWall was difficult. Firewall on android really helps manage data and helps you to control internet access. Unfortunately, unrooted the options are limited but this app provides some of the functionality I lost. Downsides are that you can only run one vpn at a time though so you have to disable Netguard to use orbot or openvpn, but until a firewall becomes a core function of android, this will do!

App is excellent and user friendly. despite having an issue that after putting an app through NetGuard on both wifi & carrier network app remains only for two three hours or so. and reconnected to network automatically. Dear Developers could you explain it please Thank you.

Ok I tried to make it block the system app in question, tough that lead to all system apps getting shut out as well by the guard. Great customer support tough very fast and helpful! :)

for paid version. A brilliant app. Does the job perfectly. The only LITTLE cons. Doesn't restart automatically after switching off the phone. After some days, seems to struggle to block internet access to some apps. I definitely recommend it.

A continuous experience of outfsckingstanding!!! I've been using Netguard pretty much since its release. Active dev, responsive support from the dev, and a huge install base pretty much sums it up. I would like to see a repository of rulesets for various devices that are based on lockdown mode, but that requires community support and testing. Thoughts dev??? Netguard + uBlock Origin + uMatrix = da kine brah

Friggin awesome, I don't know how I ever lived without this.. 5 stars! NetGuard + Bouncer should be a must for all privacy focused Android users

Still testing the app for the 1st day but it seems great, i just wish there was an option to give temporary permissions to apps for specific period preferably right from the notification, like for example once i get notified of some app trying to access the internet I'd get an option on the same notification to allow temporary access for 5 minutes for example for that specific app, then later it goes back to default rule.

Great App, very comprehensive! If you get it from GitHub, there is more function's. i advise getting the pro version here, enabling all features, the license will follow if you uninstall and reinstall from GitHub.

Perfect. Firewalls are much more useful than AVs on mobiles, and this app is probably the most effective one. For future devpm, it'd be further useful if (maybe as Pro op) an "Ask" feature was implemented to enable the user to allow or deny an app with internet access "Each Time" the app wanted access "even if the address was previously approved." Maybe the user allowed app access to an address before, but may not want it go there as it wants (this is beyond "yes/no @ screen on" feature.)

Really great for blocking apps using data or wifi. My only issue is there is a key icon in the top of the screen all the time, but that's Android's fault, not theirs.

NetGuard is one of the top three apps I immediately download to a new phone. Plus I donate monthly. Keep up the great work, Dev.

fantastic! pro has excellent features and allows you to take back control of your phone.

does what it says it does, and does it well, I use it to block apps from eating away at my data, a great way to free up network resources so you can play online games smoother, a must have for games like pubg

Works very well and uses less power than other similar apps.

Nice firewall but Bluetooth tethering cannot use . tethering in the NetGuard network settings was enable , WIFI tethering fully work . (update: One of the version alreadly fix )

Excellent for blocking sent internet traffic in the background. Paired with Bouncer which automatically opens the settings and removes permissions when the apps are closed, and I'm a happy camper.

Netguard works perfectly for preventing apps from unnecessarily accessing the internet. Fantastic app overall!
