So far the app is keeping track of my workouts very well I just have to get into the habit of inputting information when I'm not on a machine it does it for me. The GPS works pretty good and is fairly accurate. So far I like the app!

More shocking Technogym software. App appears to be the link between the MyRun treadmill and Strava if you want to forward on the data.. Setup and started a marathon program but it classes each run as a Custom Excercise In Distance , which despite the actual activity auto naming itself Run: xxx, it then isn't class as a run and therefore doesn't go to Strava. REALLY annoying when you're trying to keep track of progress as the MyRun app seems to not even retain the workout at all. Massive fail

  27. Henk Vedder-avatar

Ik like the app very much as center of my activities and progress. The navigation to add/register your own program execution is horrible though, I tried it also on the webversion, but to no avail. A good app that needs some feedback from users to enhance the ease of use. That, or a better manual (where is that??)

  28. Micke-avatar

Why can't I register my own values for reps and kg on the machines I use ? Every time I need to change default values. This takes time! And find a way to register a "done" excersis more easy. It's not crystal clear how to jump in to the on going list and add more values.

Seems privacy's nightmare. Tecnogyms app asks for every personal detail (from name and age since GPS tracking, fitness applications data, smartwatch application data etc) and since you can't lie about anything because it connects you with your gym, let's pray that OUR data stays where it should stay... Thank god for GDPR ruling over Europe..

I wonder what kind of testing this app went through. Confusing user journey, difficult to understand, doesn't want to connect to third parties for various technical reasons. My gym has just installed your equipment, I hope the experience there is better and its not just a case of all the money being spent on good marketing. On the UI. Edited a rowing machine distance goal to 5k. The scrolled starts at 1k, increments in 5m units and took me 2 minutes to scroll! Let me just type it in!

Problem for Android users! I've been in touch with Technogym about the problems some of us have been experiencing with the app no longer logging outdoor activities. I was told that they'd identified a bug for Android users which was causing the problem and that there would be a fix the following week. This was on the 12 June though and we're still waiting! Hopefully, we won't have to wait too long and more importantly I hope they are working on the solution. EDIT: Stopped working again!!!

  50. Antonio Trotta-avatar

Since the last update the app brakes in Oneplus 2, the buttons in the dialog boxes are not showing. Also the app has few design flaws. It doesn't allow you to have more than one program active at the same time and for some of the activities the qr scan doesn't come up when starting the exercise. It could really be an amazing app but it s missing that level of care and attention that others apps out there have, particularly when it comes to data visualisation it s miles behind compared to other apps. Finally, what's the big deal with "moves" as a metric of activity? What does it really say? Nobody else uses that and I find it a bit arbitrary and hard to get/compare or improve on.

  51. Chaya Cooper-avatar

    Chaya Cooper

The product description completely differs from the app I just downloaded - all it does is track my usage. The 'MY MOVEMENT' page doesn't exist, and there's no 'VIRTUAL COACH' or access to any exercise instructions or tutorial videos. In addition, the gym interface is incredibly buggy. When I tried selecting classes that I was interested in (before I realized that there were no actual virtual classes behind any of the options), it automatically increased my total number of movements by some prescribed default number of movements.

  52. Patrick Bänziger-avatar

    Patrick Bänziger

The app works well with cardio machines and the electronically integrated weight machines. But it gets rather clunky when using it for manual entry of traditional (offline) weight machines: You can't enter a weight if the machine preset doesn't offer it (example: preset has 5kg intervals - but the machine has a 13kg weight). There is a bug discarding the keyboard-entered weight when pressing OK. You can't delete exercises unless it's the last one...

  53. Just Rachel-avatar

    Just Rachel

It took forever to download at Lifetime Fitness. it wouldn't read the qr. i couldn't figure out how to get Bluetooth to work. when it finally did connect to a machine it wasn't the one i was at. Poor navigation. Each time i opened it, it was on a different page and i couldn't get to the main dashboard again. The concept is great. But the delivery is seriously lacking.

  54. Pipers dj-avatar

    Pipers dj

Since the update the writing for adding another set is in white and the background is white so you can't see the delete and ok text. It is still there but you need to know where to press on screen as it can't be seen. Also, an ongoing problem is that by the time you start a new week it only has a limited history so you have to go searching for exercises.

  55. Ian Symonds-avatar

    Ian Symonds

This app is more or less useless. It's fine with cardio machines from which it can collect data automatically. But with resistance machines, it lacks essential functionality like: setting your own programme; storing your reps and weight for next time; editing to remove exercises added in error; a complete set if exercises for the machines available. In short, it's too difficult and time consuming to use and not worth the trouble.

  56. Darren Brodie-avatar

    Darren Brodie

    Good app. Works well

  57. Warren Davis-avatar

    Warren Davis

Poor. Synching is erratic, doesn't let you edit your BMI, weight changes only show as a straight line graph between today and day one, can't see how you've done in the meantime. Difficult to add exercises which don't fit their boxes. The whole 'moves' concept is deeply flawed; the disparity between different exercises is ridiculous. App not fit for purpose. Says above was updated recently with a new interface but it looks the same on my phone as always.

  58. Chris Richards-avatar

    Chris Richards

It's good. But it has to get better. While working out, When adding an exercise, if you click back instead of add exercise it should not delete the history of that exercise, it should hold it as not confirmed or pending int eh workout routine... As do it all time and get annoyed when it removes it because we use back, more often than you think... Like lining up the next exercise would be helpful... Or doing 2 at a time super set... Need to be able to edit two machine info inputs... Anyways 630am

  59. Fenyk An Loer-avatar

    Fenyk An Loer

App is extremely hard to navigate. I struggle to log exactly what Im doing during or after workouts & the detailed diary is very hard to find in the first place. There also needs to be a date function so you can tap in previous workouts in detail. Right now I am trying to log 2 workouts from last week. It all goes on present day! It screws your results right up! As a disabled weightlifter its imperitive that I can log my training to keep track of my progress. Its a matter of medical safety!

  60. Harry Bourne-avatar

    Harry Bourne

DOB input is worst I've ever seen. Can't edit and save my profile picture. Can't save and name my own workout programs. Can't determine what data is being pulled from Samsung Health and Fitbit, if any. Can't edit reps and weights once an exercise is saved. Can't rearrange exercise order when doing my own program. Can't use Spotify as music source. This app makes all the benefits of using such connected gym equipment redundant. It's pretty bad. Sorry!

  61. Terry Dawson-avatar

    Terry Dawson

I didn't get as far as creating an account. I was completely put off by two things. Account creation looked like it was goon to allow Google OAuth, great! But then insisted I create a password for my account, No. The point of using OAuth is not having to trust you with a password. Secondly date of birth entry uses a date selector that defaults to today's date and makes you scroll backward in time one month at a time. I'll be damned if I'm doing 52 years of 12 months of tapping to do that.

  62. Fernando Ferraz-avatar

    Fernando Ferraz

Hi, the app is working great. Can I just ask you guys if you can add the option to edit exercises during the training session. As I have submitted that the exercise was completed a few times by mistake and had to open a new exercise in order to add the rest of the exercise. That would be the Jerry at the top of the cake and the earned 5 stars. Thanks

  63. Ben Johnson-avatar

    Ben Johnson

Useless. My gym (snap 24) allows you to use any of their branches. This app occasionally allows you to search and attach yourself to the gym of your choice but generally refuses to work. You can uninstall it and reinstall and it might work and allow you to select your gym. And then again it might not. So you do it again and again and you might get it to work maybe 1 in 10 times. But you might not be lucky and get 1 in 10. I'm on my 20th reinstall. Ho hum.

  64. David Lamb-avatar

    David Lamb

I'm sort of forced to use this app if I want to track workouts at my gym. It's Ok overall when it logs in to the machines and syncs pretty well. It can be very slow, especially searching for exercises that don't use a machine. The biggest annoyance for me is connecting to other apps. It only pulls exercise information it doesn't post it to the other apps. So if I want to track overall calories in Google Fit, mywellness pulls the steps from fit but doesn't log any of mywellness exercises to fit.

  65. Gil Azar-avatar

    Gil Azar

Cumbersome and unintuitive. Brings to the front useless or rarely-used info/features and hides the info/features most commonly used by average joes. I guess some of the problem is the software on the equipment itself, but the app is extremely difficult to handle and adds very little value to my workout as I pass from one piece of equipment to the next trying to figure out how I configured it last time.

  66. Chris Thomas-avatar

    Chris Thomas

App is poorly made. I've used this App frequently over the past few days and there are many flaws. 1- There is no historical record of what you do on a particular machine. The information that is displayed on the screen at the time of usage should be available to view on the App at home to review. This can then be reviewed before the next visit. This information is only available for fitness instructors who create programmes for us to pay for! You're better off using pen and paper.

  67. Candice Gentry-avatar

    Candice Gentry

I was excited to dive into this app and see all it had to offer, but was very disappointed to realize that it just tracks the movements from the machines you've logged into. It offers zero programs and definitely does not tell you any of the equipment that is in your facility. I thought it would track my weights from the previous workout, so you know what you did last time and can increase, but it doesn't even do that. There is a tremendous amount of potential, but it is seriously lacking.

  68. J G-avatar

    J G

Absolute garbage. There's no need for it to connect to the internet if it's just going to crash. The interface is not indicative of the content on the view. Resetting a workout is confusing and doesn't require a new review of the workout every time. Sometimes if you switch to another app in the middle of move the timer doesn't pause correctly and it dumps you back at the main screen and runs the timer in the background without a way to reset it. There's gotta be better workout apps out there

  69. Sabina Pasaniuc-avatar

    Sabina Pasaniuc

My Samsung Health has stopped syncing and when i try to update my settings in the app for connected devices, it defaults to 'none'. I do a lot of steps and need to keep track of them - please let me know how to fix it, then my rating will change to 5 stars. Later edit: still not resolved, exactly the same symptoms. Please advise further.

  70. Josh Lucas-avatar

    Josh Lucas

Leaves a lot to be desired. I'm asked to "rate" every single workout I log. Activity entry is an exercise in frustration if you accidentally submit your sets/reps before you're done because there's no way to edit. There's no real way to log super sets or giant sets. You can't back out of exercise entry to for instance refer back to a past session. Weight selections are bizzarre, 5 lb increments on weighted pull-ups but 1 lb on dumbbell press.

  71. Dr Martini-avatar

    Dr Martini

Strange that a multi million dollar company cannot produce a simple tracking app for their equipment users. User experience design is almost completely lacking. App decided that I'm in China (I'm not) and set up my profile in Chinese the first time. Had to get a Chinese speaker to select English for me. Links to the machines around me as well as the one I'm on, pissing off the other users. Sometimes records my session, sometimes not, despite telling me correctly which machine I'm on.

  72. Chris Law-avatar

    Chris Law

Functionality is just not good enough. Works ok if you take your phone to the gym with you and scan each piece of equipment. However, loading the exercise manually after the event is a nightmare. Doesn't recall the previous workout and you have to renter all weights and reps again. The tracker is useless as there is no option to set date and time, so if you forget to do record the workout when you do it, the app adds current date and time.

  73. Xander Wood-avatar

    Xander Wood

Would be 0 stars if possible. Doesn't work with any of the TechnoGym stuff in any gym I've been to. No way to connect to the machines, no way to save or recall routines or personal content. The extra features are done better on pretty much any other fitness app. Riddled with bugs - won't connect to Google Fit, if you select it in the options it unselects itself again. It's a shame, as I like using the equipment. This is an embarrassment.

  74. Andrew Robinson-avatar

    Andrew Robinson

Needs to be much improved. This is not very user friendly and intuitive. Even with instructors advising of use, it still does not layout information well and takes some getting used to. After first week the bikes no longer sync to phone. As usual the local authority have bought in to a system which atm is not fit for purpose. Gets worse each time i use it. This time it froze at 29mins missing off the last 15 mins of the workout. Surely someone reads these comments and wants to improve this system

Works well with the gym equipment, but I hate that it doesn't have an option to link with my Samsung smartwatch. My watch keeps a highly accurate count of my daily activity. It's also a bit irritating that the app has no option for free weight exercises. It's an incomplete picture.

  76. David Fletcher-avatar

Such limited functionality - this could be so much better if; it contained instructions on how to save exercises....gym induction was rubbish and i lost two workouts before i worked out how to use the gym key so that data actually saved at the end of a workout. for programming you rely on the PT to set up a schedule. This app is needlessly compromised by not letting a user plan and note a weight workout at home to take with another app or piece of paper is needed. you can record workouts on the go there is a out of app workaround even for none 'technogym' machines. Only syncs exercises from other services (strava/garmin for example)...won't share workouts to these services. Wasted opportunity to make the workout data more useful and sit alongside other exercise data in other apps frankly better interfaces. The music player is unecessary and intrusive. It would be good to see a whole scheduled workout (inc machines/exercises and reps/sets/weights in one view....too many button presses are needed to follow a plan.

App was always temperamental to start with but has become unmanageable recently. Doesn't sycn properly/regularly with Garmin, no longer has full list of classes at the gym - only seems to be Skill & Watt Bike and even then they aren't the classes available at my local gym. When searching for classes if it's not already listed nothing comes up at all. Extremely frustrating and as I result I've uninstalled and won't be reinstalling until massive improvements are made.

Doesnt give you options to save your favorite routines so you have to keep entering them manually. I was able to scan the QR codes from the machines but unable to log the workout. And some QR codes showed the wrong machines. For floor exercises you had to enter them individually which was a pain considering you couldn't save them. Another thing that I hated because it wasted time was you couldn't edit the entries once you entered them. I tried the app for a week and gave up.

Was confusing to get machines syncing exercises to app. instructions could be much better and led by the app in a step by step guide. Can't add training exercises manually on Android as can't change the duration of an exercise. clicking duration pops up minutes and seconds, but there's no "Done" button to confirm your duration selection. Asked for weight on registration but no units specified. Notification of New Records popped up on phone, but clicking didn't take me to Records page.

Needs a lot of work, doesn't always track workouts, doesn't always log in to equipment, displays the wrong equipment, doesn't add extras to the workout. The link to pull data from Google Fit doesn't work either. I was initially impressed but its too clunky and unreliable. UPDATE after 6 weeks, it's not picking up anything I record in Google fit apart from daily walks. I'm recording Yoga, Pilates, HIIT & Les Mills yet the app says I'm doing nothing.

  81. Catherine Downey-avatar

Terrible app. Has failed to track on the rowing machine 4 times in a row, it comes up saying I'm on the machine but it won't stop tracking it when I'm done, so i have to exit the app and it loses what I've give. Also failed to track the stair climber today. Doesn't let you keep track of what your weights were last time on any machine, I'm going back to FitNotes. 100 times better but you have to manually put in your exercise. Would give it 0 if I could

  82. Nadav Smilansky-avatar

    Nadav Smilansky

Very unforgiving app. If you miss starting an exercise within a few seconds, it would not let you restart. Same when you accidently press 'done'. No way to modify your exercises without a trainer from the gym. Another problem is that there seems to be no way to view your exercise history.

  83. Charlie Thornton-avatar

A ten year old could write a better App. So many wrongs I don't know where to start. To be fair, some some of the problems are due to clubs not enabling features or not training staff to set up networking etc.. App is barely useable other than a reminder of what activities you did and in what order. As to syncing with mywellness key don't even try. In fact don't waste money on the key.

Can someone explain why after the last update I am not able to add two activities on the same day ?!? So today I did yoga in the morning, and now I played volleyball in the evening. But I can't add volleyball to the log, as I get error 'saved activity already exists on the date'. This makes the app completely useless to actually track progress. Am I missing something? It's kind of fundamental..

  85. Mark de Ruijter-avatar

In base it's functional. But not being able to create my own workouts and plans makes this useless. It feel like a cheap cash grab to have only trainers be able to create workout plans. There is no technical reason for this, I am perfectly capable of making my own plan and following that. Please make it possible to create your own workouts besides 'free training'.

I cannot understand why there is a feedback option in the app as there is never any response. there is also a security issue: for the second time my date of birth has been changed and I get no notification (And it was not me that changed it) changed to 1 star. there is too much wrong with the app combined with no response to feedback. if you can... avoid Unlike another comment Outdoor Activity tracking is NOT working. Terrible. You scan a QR code in the gym and then it come up with default values for weights, reps and sets. You click on them to change them but you can't save your changes (there is no save or enter button) so you hit 'back' and the workout is still on default. What a waste of time.

  88. Ross Hansen-avatar

    Ross Hansen

The app itself is quite reasonable. Links well with the technogym equipment and with other devices like the polar heart monitor. There are a lot of limitations or a lack of features however which I feel could quite easily be fixed. No friends support so you can motivate others with personal competition. Closest you have is a ladder for your local club challenge. It seems to do only 1way syncing of programs like MyFitnessPal which is annoying as you can download data from MFP but not the other way

  89. Matt B-avatar

    Matt B

In short, an app that requires major work to become useful as it is missing significant functionality that should have been considered essential: * Cannot edit an exercise or session one closed * Missing exercises from their own equipment * Extremely limited list of exercises to choose from to record It's a fitness app which can't track your fitness or exercises...

  90. Alexander Russell-avatar

Rubbish. First, to enter my birthday, i had to go month by month from 2003 to 1978. Then I can't use the app unless I consent to these people doing what they want with my sensitive data. It's just a workout app! Why do you need such sensitive data?!? Ridiculous. Furthermore, the search function simply doesn't work AT ALL, adding an exercise only works if it's in the stretch category and the NFC function with any equipment apart from the treadmill has no effect whatsoever .

Bug report: Device: galaxy s9+, android 9, kernel 4.9.59 Bug 1; Behaviour: when saving workout, on the saving screen, yellow 3 bouncing dots, bounce forever, or a very long time. E.g 5+ mins, often does not save the session. Expected behaviour: saving screen to last no more than 10 seconds. Bug 2. Similar to above. But on the QR code reading page. when the code is read, the device vibrates, and the gym equipment logs in, the device spins a yellow circle for ever or a very long time

Okay app with good integration Overall the app is pretty good, however I am taking a str off because everywhere it is set to use miles and not kilometers but still on the screen that shows more details about a work out at the top it properly shows mph etc.. but the graph at the bottom reverts to kmph... And even lists the speed in kmph below the graph. Very annoying that your program is inconsistent and doesn't show all data in the preferred format.

  93. Garik Suess-avatar

    Garik Suess

The UX of this app is bad that in practice it is not useful for fitness tracking uses. The nfc tags on TechnoGym machines don't work. For the QR code you need to return all the way to the start screen of the app. It has no way to time breaks in between. Instead you need to enter time manually. And when you have done all the work to enter data the UI will mislead you causing you to discard that data. Very frustrating. Also you still need to login with the TechnoGym cardio machines.

  94. John Williamson-avatar

    John Williamson

Installed this app as recommended from my gym and in order to track my activity there. I have to say though that it has been dire. It lacks so many common weight exercises it is unreal and trying to find the exercises is a chore. Add to this that half the time the outdoor activity tracker (running cycling etc) just flat out doesn't work half the time, finding out it has not tracked you halfway through your run, I just cannot recommend this app. It feels unfinished, not even beta more alpha.

  95. Trevor White-avatar

    Trevor White

The app is fairly good for connecting to the my wellness equipment for cardio, for weights it would be good if it suggested weights from the previous session instead of defaulting every time, the other issue is its sends reminders for booking when your still in the wait queue and cannot book which is a pain.

  96. Craig Miller-avatar

    Craig Miller

Not a bad fitness recorder if your gym supports it. You're able to update weights and change order of exercises. Two things that make it a 3 star, if your workout is interupted you may have to redo the current exercise and it would be amazing if there were tones on the timer so you know when you've finished a set.

  97. Mayar-avatar

I Didn't really like this app cuz To use this app you have to read and agree a lot of terms of service/ use policies etc...... And also you have to give them a lot of personal information More than other apps!! There are many apps that are better than this app! Also I couldn't find my gym on the map

Only connects via Bluetooth to my HR monitor occasionally. Records activities on the gym machine next to mine, which I've never been on. Connects/logs on the the TechnoGym rowing machine, but nevers records my activity. Sometimes I connect/log on to a gym machune and it tells me that it's not my device, and tells me to remove it. It's just not worth the hassle!

terrible breaches in privacy from the app and the gym through which it connects. overly complicated to use and set up and not at all helpful to track your own progress. just makes machines with screens display and pop up private information with your name and picture all the time. very embarrassing to use and creates lots of messing about in between machines. someone who doesn't understand fitness motivation designed a system for someone who can't create intuitive software gave birth to a mess!

Like many of the other reviews I have found that this app works well with gym equipment but I can no longer use it to track my outdoor activity (mainly walking). The time records but when I end my activity the data is lost and I have to estimate it and enter it manually which is very annoying.

Great app, works with the machines at my local gym when I scan my QR code. Also useful in summer when I am outside cycling and it tracks it for me. One piece of advice is to have an option for imperial uits (miles and yards) as I've always worked with them living in Britain. Also, COULD I PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE LINK TO HUAWEI HEALTH,, as my Honor Band 5 cannot really cooperate with this app :(.

as a software engineer, I had high hopes, knowing what's technically capable from an app and equipment like this. I was wrong. I'll bring my own tablet next time so I can connect Bluetooth to the video I want to watch, manually track my workouts in gFit, and hope that eventually the execs find a budget to meet what marketing says the app should do. there are some incredibly basic things that are broken about this it.

3/4 stars for this app IF you are using Android 9. 0 stars if you had a phone on Android 6 when it worked up until Dec 6 update. Was contemplating getting a new phone but a simple 'users of older android systems may experience issues with this app' might have helped to understand what was going on. All the sync options are into mywellness, with no way of syncing activity data for things you have done on a Technogym equiment out of mywellness to other services. This makes the app basically useless as far as I am concerned, as when it comes to being a "fitness data hub" it is one of the worse out there.

EDIT : Advice below does not resolve issue. Now more reviews saying Google Fit does not work with this app either now. Its clear the problem is with mywellness and not Samsung health or google fit. The fact this app won't work with shealth/Google fit makes it rather useless right now. The app is really poor even after the Feb 2019 update. You know a seasoned lifter is not using this app at Technogym's outsourced mobile app developer house. Still no custom programs? Why??? Problems: # No custom programs - You have to search for an exercise mid workout and pray to god your search query of "shoulder press" brings back a result. # Search query vs exercise name (see above) # No indication of previous workout weight for same exercise. # No custom weight entry, list goes on....
