The MyWebID app, available for free, saves time and journey when you need to identify yourself. Instead of presenting your identity card at the nearest post office or bank, you can simply show your ID to one of our trained employees via a secure and encrypted video connection. The only requirements are a sound internet connection (preferably WLAN), a working mobile phone camera and your valid identity card or passport. With the transaction number of your contracting partner you dial in. MyWebID then sets up the video call to our employee. By entering the TAN, which you receive from WebID during the video call, you complete the process. This usually takes just a few minutes. Our employees do their best to identify you swiftly and reliably. For this to be guaranteed, they have to follow a predefined procedure. WebID Solutions GmbH is the inventor of the video identification process and has already carried out more than 4.2 million identifications (as of May 2019).

Not a good app or service. I tried to identify myself using both Galaxy S20 and iPhone 11. Both times I was shortly said (<5s) that there are disturbances on my side and that I have a phone Problem 😒. 5 Min earlier I did POSTIDENT without any problems. I must admit having technical problems and than to blame a customer is really unique business model. 😒

The App itself is okay I guess (except that it's much more invasive and cumbersome than it needs to be), but it took me like a dozen times to even get anyone to answer my video call, and then the lady who did eventually pick up was ridiculously unfriendly, literally sounding like an ill-tempered robot and snapping at me for even the slightest camera movement while I held my phone over my ID. Do not recommend at all; if you have any other feasible payment options, use those instead and save yourself the pain.

App is good, some employees are terrible. Some of employees don't even try to make it and leave the call referring to bad video/audio quality. Latest MacBook Pro, Samsung Galaxy S20...doesn't matter, it's literally "Hello, the quality of audio/video is bad. Goodbye". The whole process is to call several times and find someone who wants to work with you with the same audio/video setup.

Bluetooth Headsets not working on mobile phone, (yes, I selected audio input/output) calls drop randomly , browser based app allows no selection of audio devices. Nowhere near what I expect in 2021. Horridic software. Friendly employees saved you from 1 star.

Poor design. This process takes forever! It's easier to go to the Post office. You know most documents have NFC now and can be scanned by devices for proof instead of all this back and forth looking the damned holographic image on my passport!

Terrible experience, not the first time, the service agents are unfriendly. Service agents accents are difficult to understand and I had a supposed problem with a very new Samsung 21 ultra.

Tried 3 times to activate a sim card, without success, it broke in-between, eventually i was told it does not work with Samsung mobiles (!), so the problem seems to be well known. Very poor developers and management

Terrible. Didn't work on chrome, forced me to install the app and now had to wait 5 agents to make the verification works. My rating here is to the service as a whole, not only The app
