Food Diary isn't just a regular Calorie Counter. Food Diary is designed to put you in control, and be as easy, quick and simple to use as possible. No guilt trips, or constantly nagging reminders, but straight forward and on your terms. This app helps you lose weight, maintain weight, or gain weight through calorie counting, but is also easy to use to keep track of specific nutrition point (for instance for people with diabetes, celiac, etc.) and for body builders. ABOUT THE APP: Keeping track of what you eat has been shown to help prevent and stop over-eating. This app helps you control your diet and eat healthier, by making it easy to track what you eat. The design is optimized to make entry as quick as possible, with 1 click entry, and recent food suggestions. The built in database already has thousands of food items and if yours are not known, adding them is easy. FEATURES: 1. A simple and powerful design: The app opens directly on the entry screen, on the most recent meal, because that is what you'll use most. The design makes adding entries as simple and intuitive as possible. 2. One tap entry with personalized suggestions: The most common food items can immediately be selected. Starting on the second day, your recent items are suggested because you may eat the same food frequently. 3. Logging in is not needed: No personal data or contact information is required. 4. Thousands of items already in the database: Most food items have accurate information about common serving sizes, calories, carbohydrates, protein and fat. 5. Full off-line support: No need to be connected to the internet. 6. Precise entry is also easy: You can accurately enter the precise amount using a slider. 7. Daily reports: Using the menu, you can directly open the diary, which shows a summary of your day. Here you can switch between calories, protein and carbohydrates by pressing on little triangle. 8. Personal reminders help you stay on target: They are a convenient way to make sure you fill out your diary, after each meal, or at the end of the day. It is a good idea to verify the information in the database is the same as the information on your food packaging; food nutrition fluctuates with brands and over time. Make sure to discuss your goals with your doctor or nutrition specialist. PREMIUM FEATURES: 1. No more advertisement. 2. A much larger food database. 3. The ability to e-mail yourself a copy of the diary. 4. More configuration options, including the ability to enter up to 8 separate meals a day. Download now because you will love using it.

No warning when carb & sugar values are absent. Should take you to the missing values so one can guess their value or at least realize that food selection needs to be discarded and use another one. One does NOT automatically see the missing values.

Do not use!!!!! I was cheated into a 3 month subscription They offered me a 7 day trial and when I clicked on it I was booked a 3 month subscription for almost 10€ I wrote the support and never got a reply..... So careful guys!

Really like being able to record what foods I eat and also be able to write notes for my symptoms afterwards. I've just been diagnosed with IBD so trying to find trigger foods. I like that I can still navigate the app for free and I LOVE that it reminds me after each meal to record my intake. The most common foss are "locked" to prompt you to purchase the app with a monthly fee, but they do allow you to free write what you eat. For my purposes, this app works for me. But if I we're trying to track calories, this free app is not ideal.

I had the premium version of this app on my W10 phone and was initially pleased to see it here when I moved to Android. Whilst the bones of the app are the same (though no dark mode, unfortunately), the cost of buying/subscribing to the app is too high. I can put up with banner ads and am happy to add my own food details, but the update on March 6th has added full page video ads that you have to watch for 5secs before you can skip. I had 2 of them in 1 session, that kills the app for me.

Far too many of the food items are premium. I am sorry, but premium features in an app need to be an upgrade to the basic, NOT be required just to enjoy the basic function of the app. I installed this app to keep track of my toddler's eating. It doesn't save me any time if I have to manually create food listings for the things she eats because the existing ones are blocked. Also, why is quantity so difficult? it shouldn't be so difficult to, say eat 2 slices of toast, instead of 1.

Generally happy. I like the simplicity and can add my own foods and recipes. I especially like the ability to export my journal entries, a feature lacking in almost every other app I've checked. What I don't like is the lack of a scanning feature and sometimes when choosing a food to journal, changing the amount can be bothersome. Seems to be some double entries in the foods database. Would like an easy manage system to clean it up.

It would be very helpful if the food list was in alphabetical order. Also need the food item we changed or had to add to actually appear on the list once added. I am tired of having to scroll the entire food list to find what I need. Alphabetical order would have been a big plus.!! So I will uninstall.!
Missing Link
Pros: It's got the potential to be a great app if you didn't have to pay to get the most out it. Cons: None of the food items are in any specific order that I can see. They're *American* brand names. Not globally friendly. Some of the foods I wanted to input were locked. The dev has said that all the 'Common Foods' are free and all other foods need a monthly subscription. Fair enough! But since when have Chocolate Mousse and SpaghettiO's (spaghetti hoops in uk) been uncommon?

It looks great at just till the moment you start using it. I wanted some food diary with not only classic nutritional values (fat, carbs, fiber...), but also to track my vitamin intake. But... - If you wanna sign you cannot without trying 7 days trial. Why? - Far too many food is locked. - It's not possible to save custom food. Every time you have to fill it again. That's really stupid. - UI is buggy, not very well tested. (Invisible sliders, button outside of the screen...)

I love it . Beats having to carry a pad around with me constantly for Im on the go always. also helps keep up with the nutritional value for me so I dont have to go back and find the lables later through the trash. The only thing i dont like is some items are locked and have to pay a small fee to open like in my case every dollar counts when on fixed income .
