This wonderful freeware program came in a smaller factory edition. After you update it, you can personalize the program too your needs & personal preferences. Works well, as does the Motorola Moto X. I am really enjoying this small but very capable cellphone! Get one & enjoy today! My prior phone was a Samsung & it did not, in my personal opinion work very well & was much more expensive! Motorola has hit the ball out of the park this time.

Nice to see that Motorola is able to update the animation seasonly but I am no big fan of soccer, so I do not want to see a soccer-animation on my boot screen. The old animation is great. Or better: make an option in the setting where I can set which boot animation I get (default / season-adjusted)

Who gives a crap if you like soccer or not? Its just a boot screen. The world cup comes along every 4 years making it fairly rare, only lasts for a couple of weeks too. I love the boot logos, they're unique and awesome. Keep it up Moto!

Even when I know a new boot animation is not a big deal I feel the need for giving it a good review. Guys, other companies don't even bother to update a device as cheap as the Moto G and Motorola not only gave us KitKat in no time but also it keeps making few tweaks and little touches to make the experience even better. Even if you don't like football, a new boot animation is a nice touch. You complain about everything. Keep going Moto! The only Android manufacturer I really care and like.

I can see that the development team tried to make this phone software awesome, but it will be better if the screenshot provided each time update so that we can decide whether we need the update. However, I think most users of moto phone need more on A RESTART PHONE function update which usually had in a normal Android phone.

Would have loved something now for the Cricket World Cup though. However please keep it coming as this is something I can boast off with my phone. Love how Motorola include the little things in the user experience of their phones. I have both the G and X and the way they treat them and even the E like this is just amazing. It shows that Motorola actually cares about keeping consumers happy well beyond the purchase of a Moto device

I think it's great that you update the animations and are making tweaks so good job. It would be kind of a nice touch like others were saying that you could switch from normal to the new one or something. But i wouldn't care either way because i like the variety.

The latest update clearly mentioned that some new media has been added to enhance the boy experience. Being excited to check out the new animation, I quickly switched off my phone and switched it on again and to my utter dismay, not a single pixel on my screen showed anything different. It was the same boot animation as before the update. Even though I'm a pretty big Motorola fan, they've let me down in this case. Very disappointing.

My phone will never get boring or stale thanks to Motorola's ingenuity and innovativeness. 👍 Stop "winging" and being so childish people, like others have said; No other phone manufacturers do this. :) I don't care for soccer myself but I enjoy variety on my phone so that being said, this instance I enjoy soccer (phone-wise) because it livens up my phone.

I don't like soccer, FIFA and I loved previous boot animation having Airplane. If you are like me, simply uninstall the update from Play Store. It'd revert the boot animation back to original one.

Lovely to see the changing animations, really adds flavor to the phone. They always are pretty, only last some seconds, and they revert to the default one every so often. Stop complaining about the changes, people, it's a freaking boot screen!

After installing this my phone restarted and stopped working. It failed to boot. Had very bad time dealing with this issue as battery is not removable. Couldn't turn off the phone. After hard reset I fixed this issue. Dangerous!!

To the people that keep whining about the current boot screen, just stop. They update based on seasons and events. I find this to be a treat compared to the other manufacturers that makes things boring. I personally love the changing screens. Just quit your whining and enjoy it. It's not often that you'll see something like this from a manufacturer.

I think any app update makes my phone a new toy. I can hardly wait to unwrap the surprise. Only one reason I give it 4 stars: that hot pink is blinding, even with the brightness turned all the way down. The blue is much nicer. Thank you for being playful and thoughtful.

The fact that they've thought of this is great. The fact that they won't let ME personalize my device is becoming really tired however. There are a ton of bootscreens available out there and instead of being forward thinking enough to take advantage of an extant market, they bastardize the user experience. I just purchased my Moto X, very impressed with the boot animation changing seasonally. One thing I'd like to see is the ability to change the boot text (that can be set with Moto Maker) but that is a moot thing. Nice touch!

As a general rule of thumb, you'll hear a vocal minority of negative reactions when people are asked to take their time to review something. Please don't let this stop you Motorola from continuing to do something so unique and just plain awesome. I need fast boot experience in Moto G 2nd Gen like HTC... Click the power button on Just Boot in 1-3sec.. It takes like 10-15sec.. I would really happy if my moto g 2nd gen booted up in 2 or 3sec.. & have a restart option also..

However it's so very bright with the white background. The ambient light sensor doesn't work during boot so make it darker! At least it doesn't say "Droid" from the speaker during boot up.

Bricked my phone! I installed the update to this app on my Moto E 2015 and afterwards it would not boot. It showed the spinning globe animation then hung indefinitely at a grey screen. Had to do a factory reset to get my phone back. Not cool.

Making it topically appropriate just for the 2014 Men's World Cup soccer tournament was slick. You gave us a taste of the possible so don't stop. Do more of those. Many people reboot their phone name weekly basis as a preventative maintenance routine so the power-up animation is seen. Add a restart button to the power button pop-up: (power off) (airplane mode) (restart).

Since Football World Cup would end this week, how about a new boot animation that revolves around the Space concept like, Saturn's 17 moons making the Moto 'M' symbol and much more. The phone basic features does not have ie, when we put on charging phone the phone does not have any sound notification or display notification ..we have to unlock phone and have to see it manually that the phone is charging or not... Meh I like the previous one better. I appreciate that a football animation had been used but I find this a little to gimmicky for my taste. Lacking a bit of personality I daresay.

While it does what you state, what would make this a 5 star worthy app is the choice of boot screens. It wouldn't be too difficult surely? You have a lot of animations for Moto G so please let us pick and choose what we want to see. Thanks

I personally hate football, but I seem to be stuck with the football animation? I tried disabling this app to get rid of it, and given the option to uninstall updates, I chose yes. But that didn't get rid of it, so I re-enabled it, and let it update again, but it's still football! My girlfriend's Moto G also had the football animation, but her's is gone, but I still seem to be stuck with it?

When i reboot my phone, i still see the old android logo at the bottom as well as the Motorola logo, instead of the flat material design one which is visible on the 2nd gen devices... When will an update come for this boot? It's almost a year since it updated.

Even though I don't quite understand how an android app can mess with the boot process, I like the animations. FYI: I have encrypted my phone, and it has asked me for my password, that is to say pattern, every time I would turn on my phone. But ever since I have changed my password, that is to say PIN, even though I told the phone to ask me for the code upon startup, it doesn't. Help please?

Installed this because play listed as needed update.. It slowed lollipop 5.1 boot up came back to play and removed it... The phone screen wouldn't work after that had to factory reset to get screen back

That animation afterwards is cute and good but that "powered by Android" uh-hun. The black background doesn't match with the black background of motorola's sign. And would have been better if the "M" sign have been a little smaller.

I totally love this method of keeping all system apps on Google Play so that they can be updated individually without performing a full system update. Motorola, you're awesome, and I hope will continue to be so in the future! :)
