• The World of Monster Hunter Stories

In a world where large monsters roam, and people everywhere make a living hunting, there's a remote village of people who follow a different set of customs. They are the Monster Riders, a people who don't hunt but instead form bonds with monsters.

Unlike hunters, they raise and live in harmony with monsters, forming inseparable bonds with them using mysterious artifacts known as Kinship Stones.

The monsters that form kinships with Riders, known as “Monsties,” possess incredible powers. By becoming a Rider, you too can befriend countless Monsties, riding them as you explore a vast, exciting world. Join the adventure and “Ride On!”

• Game Features

- Recruit countless Monsties!

Monsties, and the bonds you form with them, are the backbone of your adventure. Explore vast environments and dungeons to find monster dens, and bring back the eggs you find to hatch new Monsties!

- Fight with your Monsties in Network Battles!

Take your hero and the Monsties you've raised into battles with other Riders! Build a team of your favorites to challenge other players.

- New features for the smartphone version!

New improvements include beautiful high-resolution graphics, improved user interface, and a new auto-save feature!

• Story

The story begins in a forest near the village of Riders. Three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—stumble upon a shining egg.

The trio perform a playful imitation of the Rite of Kinship, only to be shocked when it actually succeeds!

The egg hatches, revealing a baby Rathalos, a flying wyvern also known as “the King of the Skies.” The trio affectionately name him “Ratha,” and take him back to the village.

Days later, without warning, the village is beset upon by a monster infected by “the Black Blight.” They manage to drive it away, but not before it devastates the town—and leaves indelible scars in the hearts of Cheval and Lilia.

A year passes...

The hero receives a Kinship Stone from the Village Chief and officially becomes a Rider. Cheval and Lilia both leave the village, each on their own path. The hero, though separated now from childhood friends, partners up with the cheerful Navirou, and embarks upon a new adventure into the world of hunters.

A story of friendship and triumph await you—ride on into the world of Monster Hunter Stories!

Reviews From google play store

wow! the best rpg i've played so far in mobile! no drawing of gems, no energy for u to play, nice graphics, amazing story, amazing characters and monsties. this is the best rpg in mobile! like u'r playing legend of zelda, final fantasy, and other super cool rpgs in playstation and nintendo. good job developers! i've been waiting for so long for a game like this in mobile. the only downside is u have to purchase the game to get the full version. this one is just a demo. and the price is expensive

One of the best mobile RPG I've played so far (and I've played a lot) until it stopped right when it was getting good and said to purchase the full version... TT ...come on CAPCOM isn't $19.99 a bit much... would've been a great free2play with in game purchases. Great nonetheless for what you get to play! 👏👏👏 let me know when you guys make it free! Lol

A free intro to the paid version of the game, but for fans of Monster Hunter, this is actually a really good adaptation to mobile! I like that it's subtitled from Japanese and the art design of the game makes it feel like part of the Monster Hunter series. It's got an engaging main storyline with side quests. This doesn't feel like your typical mobile game; some cheap, pay-to-win knock-off. Give the free version a go and see if you agree. I, for one, am hooked and will be getting the full version.

Nice game. It's refreshing to see something like this in the Mobile area. BUT Unfortunately it still feels like an unfinished product because it's Not translated in English. With a $27.99 Canadian Pesos price tag I would expect the game to be fully completed for the Western Market. I also experienced a serious bug where the game would not run if it was on an external storage SD. So I had to switch it to internal storage just to get the game going. The error I was getting was that there was not enough storage on my device but I have over 40 GB's on my external and my internal with a total of 80 GB's free on my device. So if anyone's experiencing this issue just try to do a swap of your storage.

Well i got trouble when pressing certain button, must a bit patien. This game is simple turn base fighting, i think cuz the main character is kid so the target market will kids and they make it easy for child to play. Ok thats fine for me, i like the story and the graphic though. Thats make me wants to buy the paid version

The gameplay was very smooth. Graphic proved significantly from 3ds version. Based on my friend, paid version lets you continue from your save in this demo version! Sadly, it is only update version 1.0 and it's been awhile so I don't know if 1.3 (the latest) will be available for android version in the future.... or Capcom will just abandon this game like this forever.

Your demo save continues into the premium version! You should get this to make sure the game runs good for you before buying it even if you are pretty sure you want it. Your save will load into the premium version if you buy it along with a little bonus cosmetic gift for playing the demo. This is no quick demo either, there are hours of play here. It doesn't feel like other MH games - it is more of a semi cute turn based monster catching / training RPG in the MH universe. Still it is really enjoyable if you're into that sort of thing.

I definitely enjoyed this, but it was over far too quickly for me (although I did focus almost entirely on the story guests), as I only got 2 hours out of it, although It is a demo so it's ok. Only thing I'd like is a link to the full version in-game or something, like at the end dialogue from navairu.

Probably one of the greatest mobile rpg games out there. Yes, it is a demo. But even as a demo you have a solid 5 or 6 hours of gameplay. Great graphics for a mobile game (like seriously I had to stop a few times just to take in the work these people put into this game. Not to mention the amazing cut scenes that you can rewatch as much as you like), no adds, and best of all no extra in app purchases. This game is seriously amazing there is so much to do and it's totally worth the $20!!! Honestly you could probably continue to play even without getting the full game because it let's you redo quests and there are still places you can explore even after you get to the end of the demo. But regardless this game is truly wonderful and beautiful and just amazinggggg!!! Thank you for making this game.

The game is awesome I really loved it but there is only one thing about the game and that is the fight. As it is an RPG game we should be able to fight just take an example of other RPG games the combos are really great but in this game there is nothing about combat that makes it interesting. Just make fights more good like the other RPG games you know what I mean by other RPG games fights. So just make it great, we should have some magic and should able to use our sword freely when in combat. Otherwise the game is great, loved the storyline and the characters are cute too just make fights much more awesome

I could not be happier with this game! No ads, no micro-transactions, no energy systems. Just a really great RPG in the Monster Hunter world. This game and the company that made it really respect their customers. I'm excited to purchase the full version and I would encourage everyone to support this developer

Wow. I specifically got this game because I'm tired of adds and stamina games. I've been playing the "demo" for 8 hours now and haven't seen a single add or paid anything. Controls are awesome. Game is a very well done mix of action and turn based rpg fighting. And cool dragons! Reminds me a bit of Zelda which I love.

I've never left a review before but I feel compelled to. This is the mobile game I've been looking for! No pay to play nonsense, no grinding away to boost stats, just a totally solid open world rpg in the vein of Oot. This is the free version (not the full version), but you can expect ZERO ads, and at least 5 hours of gameplay. The story is cute (Kokiri Forest cute, in a sense that you know there will be more to it later) and really engaging, controls are pretty tight, fight mechanics are simple but effective and the graphics are beautiful, with a draw distance other developers should be taking note of. My new favorite mobile game. Thank you Capcom

This is a great game and works great on my Galaxy S9+. It's one of the few games that I will buy at a $20 price. The touch controls are ok, but not easy to press certain things like "Items" in a fight. I am stretching the screen out to 18:9, but it should work better anyway. I feel it should have controller support since it was made on a portable console with a controller in mind. I would love to put this on a Shield TV if it was compatible...

Dear CAPCOM please ignore the top comment "Make it p2w' Nope keep it this way I am sick and tired of half baked freedom games filled with adds and microtransactions. This is a good game with an amazing refreshing business model pay once get an enjoyable game experience forever. Ignore the trolls. This is the way you should do your business model CAPCOM.

Really impressed with the demo, and I think I will buy the full version. A good game both for experienced MH player and player who just got into the MH universe. I just can't get used to the rock-paper-scissor aspect though. It seems the Japanese just LOVES their RPS system. Nevertheless, a good game if you're looking for a time killer. Playing this on redmi note 5, and I does not experience bad heating problems. Runs quite smoothly too. Good job capcom.

This so called Prolog / Free Version is very good. You will get used to the gameplay in no time. The graphic, story, plot, are outstanding. Although I prefer the open battle system rather than turn based, but it's not a big deal for me. I need 5 hours of gameplay to finish this free version. Absolutely will buy the paid version. Good job Capcom.

Although quite different from the usual Monster hunter that we're playing in consoles. I've been waiting for a legit MH game for andoird a long time now, and this finally came. I just hope they would put a repeat action button to avoid having to press the same commands again :)

HD port of a DS RPG, missed the original. I don't usually play full 3D games because of the controls but these ones work great. Got fully used to the screen controls in a way I haven't before. Turn based battles are simple but fun take on rock, paper, scissors. A good cross gameplay-wise of Monster Hunter and Pokemon, but a bit more of MH's signature 'fight, sleep and eat meat!' mood. :3 Art looks great, seems like a lot of care went into the look and the way it renders. Runs flawlessly on G8+, takes more battery than most, but wasn't that bad, though I've been impressed with the G8 battery life in general. Played about 6 hours total with much sub-questing. Very generous demo if you like this sort of gameplay.

Really fun and amazing. This game not only looks beautiful, but plays really well and smoothly. This game contains so many content that it is hard to tell wether or not this is a demo. It has so many content presented to me despite it being a "free" version of the actual game. Overall, I really love this game. With so much presented to me, it is unclear if I will buy the full version anytime soon. But still, there is plenty of fun to have in this game.
