    Firstly, been a customer for near 3 years and had a terrific experience so far, so the 4 stars is a fair review and I would give a 5 star, however as of this most recent update i can barely stay on the app for a minute without it crashing, and reading recent reviews here I'm not the only one, needs fixing going forward as it is currently unusable.

    Previous four star - Very easy, helpful and useful app. Minus one star due to not using the service long enough for a fuller picture. Edit - five star - Having used the Monzo for two years now I can fully recommend. It will help you with your finances with no doubt if you use it correctly. And it just got better with the new update. Get it and transfer. You won't be sorry.

    So far, Monzo has been great. I got it mainly for the joint account and we've been using the pots, budgets and salary sorter to keep tabs on our money this month. It's been perfect and exactly what I wanted my high street bank to offer (but they never did). Would be nice to offer the plus and premium accounts as a joint account.

    Have been a user since beta. The interface is great, clean and simple to use. Unfortunately in recent months I've noticed monzo becoming a bit too pushy with trying to sell you their other products, which are pretty superficial and do little to improve my actual banking experience. Have been using starling and they seem to provide features for free that monzo charge a premium for.

    There is a security flaw when biometric app unlock is switched on. The main current account page will flash briefly for about a half second before reaching the biometrics unlock page. Which means anyone can see how much cash you are holding with Monzo before being authenticated, if they have your phone. Will review again when issue has been addressed.

    It's 1am and I just made my first an international payment in PLN with relative ease! something my uk metro bank account mobile app struggled to do. Metro would only let me send usd eur or gbp, pretty useless considering the recipient only accepts PLN, plus I spent at least 20 mins trying to find a workaround. Even called metro bank, but no joy (their customer services dept used to be 24hrs). I should have used my monzo account from the get go. Great app, banking in the 21st century.

    I had to change my rating, I signed up to Monzo 18 months ago and loved it's efficiency and customer service. Now however, neither are as good. I've been trying to open a joint account for a while but they just say no and then won't tell you why. Customer service are now very slow to respond to anything and often don't seem to understand what's being asked. I'm going to change to a better bank like Starling.

    Applied for an account on Sunday and received the message that verifying my identity normally takes 2 hours but may take upto 48 hours. It's now Wednesday evening and still I'm getting the same message on the app and the customer service phone number only gives automated options, none of which is relevant

    I signed up and never received a card. Emailed them about it, got told "we'll look into it." Never heard back after that until they sent me an email reminding me to activate my card about a month later. I told them, again, I never received it. They said they would send another one. Never received that one either and that was back in May, now it's almost October. Haven't heard anything from them since. Not the type of customer service I want in a bank.

    The biometrics support is completely garbled. I've never seen an app do it so poorly. More often than not I need to force quit the app a couple of times before the dialogue pops up and actually reads my finger print. Absolutely useless when you're in a hurry.
