This app doesn't seem to work "anymore" on my note 20 ultra. Worked great for a while, but Not anymore. I had to down load another app. The camera blocker still works well though.

Functions but more intrusive and difficult to configure than developer's camera blocker app. Support is turtle-slow. Notification and whitelist are handy. No regrets and feel better protected but crashes much too often. Tapping notification icon to reactivate doesn't work. UPDATE: Needs one. Deactivated. Too unstable.

Does exactly what it says it does. Very simple and straightforward app to use. Even lets you know when an app attempts to use your microphone and when the app is successful in doing so. 5/5 would recommend

Seems to work well as far as I can tell on Galaxy S7 Edge, Marshmallow. Doesn't seem to drain the battery, and doesn't interfere with phone calls. Difficult to really tell how well it blocks, but so far so good. My complaint is that the configuration options and settings are not very intuitively understandable. Specifically, if I set it for auto unblock, then tap one of the "+" boxes, it shows a list of apps (having the in alphabetical order would be nice), 2 R 'Phone'. 1 say

I can't tell if this app is performing as expected but I know I experience problems with it constantly. I paid for the upgraded version. I frequently find that the app has closed on its own and I am unprotected. My phone's quick camera feature fails often even though it's whitelisted. Sometimes the app says I'm protected even when I'm not. And sometimes the opposite. I recommend looking for something else.

Works well when it does, but has some bugs that haven't been resolved in the years I've been using it. I use an internet calling app, which I have listed in the mic block's list of approved apps, but it only lets the mic work 50% of the time. I've never been able to figure out what makes it work and what doesn't. When it fails, I have to hang up, turn the mic block off, and call the person back. Also a brand new problem has started just in the past week...app icon says it's off, but it's on.

PROS: It works really well to block other apps from using your microphone. I can say "Hey Google" without Google Assistant popping up, so the phone is no longer always listening, which is a relief. CONS: It's buggy! Whenever blocking is on and I take a photo or make a voice memo recording, there is always a 50% chance that doing so will result in a "Microphone Blocker has Stopped Working" popup. They really want us to spend money on this, and I'd like to, but first the app just needs more work.

I got fooled. I get the idea. it's supposed to gain microphone access, and maintain that access, per your settings, preventing other apps from (mis)using the mic. I even paid for this app, only to discover later that no matter the settings, it will eventually (minutes) release the lock on the microphone. For years I've had a camera blocker that always works, but still I have no luck finding the same in a mic blocker.

Used to be a great app because I knew it actually worked and does actually block the microphone due to Shazam and speech-to-text not working, but now it always unblocks itself when I don't want it to and wants me to pay for the premium version to prevent it from otherwise doing that. I don't mind paying for a useful app I enjoy using, devs gotta eat, but the free version of this app is actually unusable when what they used to offer was so amazing, hence why I'll be going elsewhere.
