Excellent. 2 stars off is not for blocker. Instructions stil seem vague. Other words preferred to illustrate "white list", or review by asking current paid users. Green lock. Does it mean green is locked and safe, what is green lock and white listed app suppose to mean ? To my perception it give false neg and false pos illustration. Black list is no camera access. White list is app does not and cannot send pic or sound files Get the idea ?

Sometimes it malfunctions. I set it to protection mode, opened the voice recorder, yet the recorder worked. After restarting, it worked again which means any unauthorised attempt might not be detected at all. :(

Found a bug: Bought Full version. Noticed a bug, that this app somehow affects(blocks) notifier and text speaker, so tht you dont hear it, even with full volume and every sound channel on. I thought it's supposed to block only microphone? 🤔 hmmm... How did I notice tht: I set an alarm and text speaker, when it pop ups, unfortunately I don't hear an alarm sound and text speach. 03.10.2020: new widget kinda fat.

So far I haven't seen any evidence that this app works. It will cut of my sound after a few seconds in messenger and snapchat. But if I repeat the word "Car" For a few minutes while on Facebook, then I will be shown ads for cars within 10 minutes. I think this app is a scam. And I wanr my money back!

The blocker is constantly being turned off, and not by me. It doesn't seem to recognize being turned off by a 3rd party like it claims to, which makes me feel like it's not recognizing that other apps are listening on me. 10/10 epic fail in my book. If I could rate this 0 stars, I would.

Although it's an app with lots of good functions, there are still bugs. First of all, it interferes with the alarm clock application, causing the alarm to sound only a few seconds, instead of sounding until snoozed, or dismissed. Second of all, boot protection startup of the application does not disable microphone for "ok GOOGLE" function. If you turn the Mic Blocker off and turn it back on, it does prevent "Ok GOOGLE" from listening to the microphone.

The app works fine for me. Micro Guard is constantly blocking unauthorized attempts to use the microphone and notifying me of them, and because the battery barely drains despite turning battery optimization and data saver off for it, I'm pretty happy with it. I have Camera Guard and Anti Spy and a Traditional Antivirus in the background, so personally, I'm feeling okay. It doesn't interfere whenever I actually make or have a phone call, so that's good that the app works conveniently too. Thanks.

I used this app on my note 9 and it worked, would even let me know what app attempted to access mic. DOES NOT WORK WITH LG V60 App shows on as if mic is being blocked although declvice info test shows the mic is not muted. It caused the video recording feature on my phone to stop working and didn't really do anything except send me a notification that even Microphone Blocker itself was trying to access my microphone at 1:30am. Bizarre app. Once I uninstalled it, I was able to record video again.

I was using the free version of this app and it seemed quite useful, so I thought I would upgrade and try the full version. However, the app simply doesn't work. I turn the protection on manually and it is fine. This can be tested by using the voice recorder on my device which doesn't record at this point. Unfortunately as soon as I make or receive a phone call it stops working. The app still shows as being protected, but I can use apps to record and save sound. Disappointing waste of money.

App says "protected," but the "Now Playing" feature on the lock screen of my phone displaying songs playing in the background - on other devices not connected to my phone - says otherwise. When I open Google Assistant, the mic is activated, but when i close it, open the mic blocker to confirm that it's enabled, then reopen Google Assistant, only now do i get a notification that the mic is disabled. Finicky and not reliable.

This app performs just as it says. I have only one issue, the widget does not work. I can find no setting or claim that it should act as a button to toggle protection, but the camera guard this developer produced has a widget that does just that and looks nearly identical. I find it very convenient with this feature and would like the microguard to act the same way. Is this intended?

This app stops me leaving voice messages on whatsapp even though it is whitelisted. I have to turn protection off which kinda defeats the whole object. Support is non existent. I have emailed them 3 times and have never received a response. They are happy to take your money but it all ends there. My recommendation.....buy another product!

This seems to be a very valuable application; however, only 4 stars as i was just on the phone to my interenet provider when i noted that my mike was turned off momentarily. One of those subtle signs this hacker uses to make me aware of their presence. While on hold to the police's non emergency line i noted that attmpts to activate my mic were averted. Im on a Blackberry Priv...that has been hacked.

FB Messanger Lite which can be listened on with out your knowledge. This app blocks their ability to ease drop. Even Google without an in-app purchase needed to do so. How does it come that for the sister app camera guard there is no requirement to access camera (just Device Administrator permit, to deactivate camera), but for this one you need access to microphone???

Camera Guard works on the camera, but Micro Guard does not work so well on the microphone. Any app is able to hijack the mic from Micro Guard and use it. Frequently I even find Micro Guard has shut down without notice, leaving me to wonder how long I was unprotected. I never have such troubles with Camera Guard.

Scan for Spies button unresponsive and blockers can be automatically disabled by apps without my permission. Blocks microphone usage sometimes but it's inconsistent.

What's with all the fake reviews? This app seems to work possibly? It's hard to tell but a couple of times I was satisfied. But you can see when it doesn't work. It blocks audio when it shouldn't at least some of the time. Like with Facebook messenger the people I call get no audio sometimes. More time will be needed to see, but looking through the reviews has made me skeptical. And I'm considering deleting this app in the future.

I am using the camera blocker app and it works pretty good. I love the design of both apps, the whitelist and features that they offer. I purchased the microphone blocker too. I tested this app with 3 messengers. On telegram I sent a voice message and the audio wasn't recorded. Then I tried a Skype test call and voice chat on discord. The microphone was unblocked for both services and skype played back the recorded audio of the call. Is it supposed to unblock during calls?

It looks like the app is not working properly. I have contacted the developer or number of ocassions and whilst I was able to get a prompt reply regarding other issues they are ignoring my query regarding rhe fact I am concerned the mic is not being blocked. I get a notification when some app is opened to say the mic has been blocked. However, when I use the mic (such as whatsapp call or taking a video with the camera) the sound is recorded. Seems to make the phone laggy too.

Scam App - beware - we download this app for safety and security the turn the microphone off so we are not spied upon. microgard requires then order to use as half they can turn on your microphone and record you. this sounds like a spy app one for your own safety and security I would look for another app.

This app doesn't have an effect if you already have an app, like Facebook or Viber, with an Microphone premission alowed. Now, I had this app's function enabled, and someone called me on FB Messenger for which I had to switch on mic premission for. The second I did, that person was able to hear me, which rendered this app useless.

There is no way to test key features of this app the ensure these features properly function. For example, white listing an app might not allow the app to properly function during its use of the microphone.

The white list is an essential feature but you need to pay to get it, so useless without. Surely it will block all mic access from all apps otherwise. I think you have to disable when mic is needed from pulldown menu.

Be-Aware! The only thing this 'spy' does is open my mic every 1-2 hours. I still use my blackberry priv and its stock, "DTek", app monitorng software has the log files as proof. It makes all their products suspect... damn. I bought this damn thing before i thought to engage DTek.....
