I've played several of these games now, but this is my favorite. Every choice has significant bearing on the gameplay. The game is rewarding and has replayability. The characters are interesting. I see side plots I have not had a chance to investigate. Have already recommended to a friend.

  2. Lance Abarquez-avatar

Wow. How did someone even make a great game like this? No other COG game led me to think about it for days. The plot was great(except for the slow start which was kind of understandable)! It led to heart-racing moments where I felt the pressure that I faced. The climax was just outstanding. I cannot believe how smooth the transitions are, how many conflicts there are to solve, and the timing of the plot twists which is what makes it so good! P.S. Please make a MetaHuman Inc. Part 2. Thank you!

Basic plot with a few twists and turns and an inch of depth to every character (Not a good thing) but overall a decent game. I would've gave this 4 possibly 5 stars but the "superpower" (Should've been called augmentations) and budget loop are pretty lackluster. The saving grace in this game is the opportunity to use your skillset many times through much of the story, I liked that. Overall: Up to you, I personally wouldn't have bought it again knowing what I know now.

  4. Arham Osman-avatar

My overall experience with this game has been fantastic, the choices actually matter and the storyline is quite good. There was a bit of repetition but at the end it turned out to be a an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended. Only reason for 4 stars is because of the intrusive ads that popped up at vital points in the game.

  5. David Jones-avatar

Loved it. Great writing, lots of choices, and a decently sized read. Just got dumber with the first playthrough and look forward to the next one!

Metahuman had me from the first page. This was the first game I played that was a story based style and I loved it! I wished it didnt end Haha. Metahuman has set a very high bar for the next ones I play. Hope they make a second book to metahuman! Great job!

  7. LittleArmyNut-avatar

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CYOA GAMES. The lore is very intriguing and I like the amount of choices you have. I have almost no words to describe this. It's an absolute masterpiece. I normally skip through most text in CYOA books but this was amazing and I only have just finished one playthrough and restarted by looping back in time. Incredible.

  8. CROCKY BIRD-avatar

Pretty fun,but for what it's worth and how long it lasts compared to other games like this,I really don't feel like it's worth the full 5 dollars.

  9. Nicolas Akyel-avatar

Enticing story with many different outcomes and events that make it worth playing multiple times. Buying the full game after playing through the beginning was the quickest purchase I've made.

My first CYOA game from Choice of Games. Got me into this type of game and I have since bought several more. The plot is extremely engaging and I am still trying to get all of the achievements after multiple playthroughs. The style of the writing and the world that was created by the author is engrossing and when I pick up the story I cannot stop until I have finished. Many people who play this game will never see some of the amazing surprises coming! I highly recommend this story, thanks!

  11. Solace Creat-avatar

Loved it. I would have liked just a tad more capability to grow the company, and it's not very well explained that you can only specialize in witchery or science, so I went in thinking about a mixing science and witchery strategy and burned some important resources as a result. 6 bucks is pretty pricey for one playthrough, but I'm not unsatisfied. It was a great story, and the mechanisms of choice and investment and growth were good, but a tad unfulfilling. Overall, it was a great read and a great play.

  12. Cougar Madcat-avatar

Choices Or Not- There are things that keep me captured in reading and one is to have choices of where the story goes. This one is nicely written with some interesting points. There is always room to improve though the story is fun enough to keep the interest.

I'm liked the game but it occasionally felt my character was railroaded into being a certain way. Let me explain. During on part when I'm being asked by the vaccine guy about if I'm able to the job, there is an honest option that says I'm not sure and living option that says yes, but where the honest, confident option. another time I'm talking to the reporter about illegal activities from a corporation that she's investigating, and there's no option to go against her wishes and be honest about it

I'm a business savvy individual so obviously I really enjoyed the game concept and find it entertaining to the max although the plot is somehow lacking when it comes to romance but still the cat & mouse twist worth the pay. Waiting for the sequel...

Though I rated 4, my actual rating is 4.5 for this game. The only thing that made me deduct 0.5 to make it complete 5 was the ending (spoilers ahead) where you go back to the time when you become the CEO.

Amazing game; well written and well thought out with plenty of replay value. Scrolling is slightly touchy when trying to scroll past various options, and i made several choices by accident which becomes problematic with no undo button. That's the only reason I didn't give a fifth star. Definitely a better use for that 5 bucks than the garbage you'd probably spend it on otherwise 😁

  41. Thomas Donica-avatar

I would warn people not to install this game if they do not feel like buying, the demo is just a teaser and not much more. However, it is an excellent purchace and worth the money! In this game, your choices make a pretty big difference on the outcome. Who you hire, what you choose to research, and even whom you romance can determine what kind of ending you recieve. Definitely worth multiple playthroughs. My only complaint is really one endemic to the genre as a whole. Sometimes the choices available to you are blind choices that you could never have anticipated. Fortunately there are only a few of those here, most of the choices have the potential consequences hinted at well.

  42. zeb smith-avatar

absolutely loved the game, but it for a very select audience. the type people who will most enjoy this game need to be open minded, love reading, ambitious, and, most importantly, be the CEO of the most powerful tech and magic corporation in seattle. p.s. watch out for alien invasions

  43. Roger Counts-avatar

It is a great interactive story. I only think that the ending was rushed and there were not much options when you get exiled. I think for the money this game charged there should be more of a story when you get exiled along with more options. Also I didn't't like the part where i was put back into the beginning and never received my evaluation. Also I am aware that there are multiple story endings.

  44. Pedro Gabriel-avatar

My first CoG experience, it's a full plate for X-Files fans. Have some unexpected results, and worth at least 3 playthroughs. Awesome!

  45. luke ranzino-avatar

Metahuman Incorperated looked interesting, and so the demo was. Then, it got truly excellent. The build up to particular plot twists was extremely well done, and it kept a wonderful lack of certainty up until the end, keeping me on my toes about who to trust, and if my plan would succeed.

Padded out the start with, at least seemingly, useless choices so you only get the barest taste so you have to buy. Not worth unless you plan on buying.

  59. Brian C-avatar

So sad to read reviews from those whose leisure time is not even worth $5 USD. Such a modest price for the time and energy undoubtedly spent creating this gem of a gamebook. I loved that so many choices existed at the conclusion of each section. This gave the effect of more autonomy, personalization, and overall realism of the events and characters. Sick of warrior-combat gamebooks; being a CEO was much more thrilling. 5/5 stars!

  60. CompoundKhan-avatar

I rarely do reviews, but this was such a great story I feel like this is the least I could do. I loved the characters, how you could almost feel the weight of each decision and how it affected the story. I have only one complaint, and it is a small one: without spoiling the ending, it feels as if the story was cut short, with many things adequate where they end but could have had more development. For lack of better terminology, this feels like the main frame, and beginning of a great story. As it stands, it's still one of the better CYOA stories on Google Play, but with further development it could be the best. Keep up the good work!

  61. Daniel Fox-avatar

MetaHuman, Inc. plays out like an actual novel. The decisions offer realistic options that are often difficult to make because the (impressively deep) narrative changes in realistic ways. Having finished my first run successfully, I'm eager to play/read through it again because it has definite replay value.

Out of all the CYOA games ive played, this blows everything out of the water. From its unique and exciting lore to its qwerky lovable/hatable characters, it sucks you in and doesn't let go. The choices you make at every step of the way are both unchangable, and massively impactful. I played for 8 hours straight, unable to pull myself away. The normal pitfalls of the genre arent really there. The writing is in depth and great. Time jumps dont break immersion. And its just long enough. The asking price us a bit high compared to others, but it is well worth it.

  63. Matt Berkeley-avatar

Such a great game! I gave a low rating for graphics.. because there isn't any. You don't come to this game for graphics but for a great story! Very entertaining, I would love a sequel to continue the journey! Only downfall is once you make a choice its final, no go back or undo option, but definitely not a deal breaker!

  64. ASC-avatar

It's hands down the best thing I've ever downloaded onto ANY phone. This was so well written. It's lengthy, so there's value for money. The choices are complex and thought provoking. It's obvious from the get go that Metahuman is the work of a seasoned writer, knowledgeable and witty. It felt like I was feeding my brain, not slowly killing it with another 'choice' app focussed on shallow love interests and unconvincing plot twists. Choosing how to spend my company's monthly profits was the icing on the cake - a genuinely simulating experience.

Ok so this is a great game, but 400 rs is too steep a price. I can think of a load of things I could do with that money. It would have been much more sensible to end this story and make people pay for more.

  66. Jim Nanban-avatar

Great Interactive Fiction! I had a blast playing this. Loved the gameplay elements of budget allocation, and felt their results in regards to giving me extra choices and influencing events were great. I enjoyed the path I took, and look forward to trying another few ways. I felt like this cloud have been more difficult without being a bad experience. I also was incredibly shocked when I took an option to do more than merely get along with another CEO skipped straight over cordiality and friendship (my goal) and leapt directly into a night of homosexual lovemaking. Hey, guys? If you're offering "genderfluid" as a gender option, please consider sexuality too. I JUST wanted a pal!!

  67. mischa wolf-avatar

I'm not that far in yet but I just wanted to say that I'm loving it. You feel like you're actually making important decisions, laying consequences, like there is this great replay ability, you're not just checking off every option because you cannot stick on one place indefinately, I feel like I have to balance my choices and I have no idea which ones will end up biting my back and it's awesome. Every step of the way I'm really investigating my options because there is this tangible weight to them all.

  68. Gregory Newman-avatar

Great game until the end of the third chapter. I wouldn't pay £5 to purchase it though. If it were less, I would definitely buy this. However, atm it's more expensive than other rpg ebook apps.

  69. Ruby Rebecca-avatar

You wonderful, sadistic, and gloriously devious people. Firsly, thank you for making me cry near the end. Secondly, thank you for putting in the time to write this, seriously, it was an amazing read. Lastly, my only qualm was that it had to end, and, having read through it twice in one day, I can't help but wish for more. A sequel or additional chapters of some kind would be lovely, but I'm unsure as to how smoothly it could be implemented. Either way, I'm sure you'd find a way to make it work, but in the meantime, the replayability of the original will ceartainly stand on its own.

  70. Philip Brown-avatar

I rather enjoyed this. I only played up to the point were you have to pay to continue. I did not even know this would happen, otherwise I would of skipped downloading it in the first place. Since similar games by this developer have been short I would not consider buying at the current price to continue.

  71. Šimon Tichý-avatar

Out of all the Choice of games, this one is really well designed, is intriguing, plays out very unexpectedly and just really pushes your morals. For lack of better word, grandiose in its concept. Fantastic

  72. Tu rf-avatar

Graphics are 1 as there is no image depicting anything. I chose male, and I apparently still woman? As said in, "Oh my god I just killed that woman." Beside that, everything went smoothly.

  73. Nikkia Nelson-avatar

Great little story with many different options to choose from. Great time killer. My only regret is that there is nothing beyond "the end". I hope the creator decides to bring more into this app.

  74. A Google user-avatar

Unforgettable. I came to this interactive story because I saw it on my recommendation list. I liked the concept; after all, who doesn't want to lead a transhumanist company? The story I was met with blew me out of the water completely. The way your decisions affected future events and further choices was executed perfectly, I felt every single choice I made mattered, ranging from where I allocated my resources to what I did when something unexpected came up. I found myself flush with relief when my choice was effective, and angered of occasionally even horrified when my action led to things going wrong. But not just that; I found myself actually being able to deduce what might happen within the story itself, there are even parts in the story where you can not just use your acquired enhancements to give you an edge in the situation, but your own detective skills to actually reveal very important plot points. I think I've written long enough, however. In conclusion, I recommended anyone a fan of interactive stories, science fiction, or more magical settings give this story a go. If you like what you see in the initial free chapters, I implore you to buy the rest of the story, it's well worth it!

  75. Angel-avatar

I just wish there were an option to go back by one chapter. Sometimes I misclick, misunderstand the option or accidentally skip an important chapter, and just want to go back to redo it, but the only way you can is by restarting the whole game... It gets pretty annoying. This goes for all the games. Regardless, I loved this game, and this way my only complaint.

  76. A Google user-avatar

Awesome and addictive! I've played two rounds already and I'm already contemplating how I will play my third. I like how you are able to play the first four chapters for free before deciding if you want to buy the full version.

I loved it! I almost finished it, got trapped, then sent back in time to start the game over, to re consider my choices! Such a good game!

  81. Luke Schwemler-avatar

Why would list the game as free, then add an option to purchase the full game in the free app? It's super misleading. Just sell the app for the $5 the game costs instead of giving people 1/4 of a game for free and making them pay to continue.

  82. Daniel White-avatar

The first 4 chapters are good but what makes me rate 3 stars is that you make us pay 5.99 to continue playing. What You should do what you did for choice of dragon and the great tornament, and make it free to play and make them pay for not having to wait

  83. Peter Seabrook-avatar

Terrific writing, a damn good yarn. Graphics get 1 star because there were none by design, which is fine. The story and writing are more than capable of holding their own.

  84. John H-avatar

Everything about this app is amazing except for one thing: the cost. If I may suggest something, could you make it so that you get one more page per ad watched.

  85. Samuel Cyrenne-avatar

This game is fantastic. Even though I rarely buy mobile games I will probably buy this one. I can't put into words how creative and awesome this game is.

Beautifully told, lengthy story with choices having some real impacts and great replay value. Highly recommended.

  87. Andrew Danis-avatar

Absolutely fantastic, I read it 6 times now and I absolutely do not regret paying for it, the concept is great and well executed, the first time I read through it I was kept guessing at every turn but never had so little Information that I didn't know what was going on, the next few times even having most of the answers the stats system and mild randomness still made it so I was able to be surprised. best CYOA, and one of the better novels, I've ever read.

Great game and great story. Can't wait to play again. Wish it was just a dollar cheaper for the whole game, but worth it overall. Definitely give this one a shot!

Can't imagine the work that must go into this. Reminds me of the fighting fantasy books i loved as a kid, absolutely brilliant!

The demo is good. I really enjoyed it, however a text adventure is not worth six dollars. A capable team could produce one for a tenth of the cost within a week.

Six bucks is too expensive for me. Two would be affordable.

Its the good until the part when you need to pay im only a student and dont have enough money to buy the the whole game. I wish you make some books free anyway its really good

Awesome, gripping story. 1 star graphics, because there aren't any. The free portion has a mind blowing cliffhanger.

This is a great form of digital book! It was a great first experience with this type of thing and I'll be trying more of them.
