It's great. I don't know if it's since the last version, but it sometimes, quite often, crashes when you open it and refresh the list of stories. Happens on the Pixel 5 with Android 11 and on an older Huawei P30 Pro with Android 10.

have always preferred this app over others/browser and not even sure why... its just comfy. As others have mentioned you have to use something else to access functionality like upbooping and editing comments which is not in this app.

I like the app, but it's missing some basic functionannoyin forces me to fallback to a incognito browser window. - doesn't open HN links in comments - doesn't allow editing or deleting of submissions or comments - stores favorites in the app, which is annoying. Now it's opening links by default in Chrome for Android despite me having explicitly not set a default browser.

A lot of the time the embedded browser simply fails to render anything but a blank white canvas.

Best stories feature is underrated. Only gripe is HN links from comments want to open in browser.

Out of date, eating battery, sometimes mixes dark and light colors? Use Harmonic instead.

Initially and for months thereafter, this app was the best Hackers News Reader in the Play store. Unfortunately, over the last several months the Readability feature has been failing constantly. The error message "Unable to parse article" comes up for almost every article. A couple of other Hacker's New readers on my phone are not having this issue. It's a shame because this problem has ruined a formally great app :-(

Finally uninstalled out of frustration, after several months of using it. Articles often don't load in the integrated browser, wrong article comments are sometimes pulled, and the comment interface breaks if you tap things too quickly. All seem like the typical "new software" bugs -- but they remain unfixed for several months and chances are they never will.

Amazing! but when you see comments, the best part, the arrow is stuck at the top, so when you scroll up in the comments section, you have to scroll really far up to reach the arrow. Some comment threads are REALLY long, so please integrate this feature and I will edit. No ads, good news, and pretty looks. You can save articles as well!
