This app is terrible! Do not waste your time! Today I went to go a run a mile and I usually run it in 6 to 7 minutes. The tracking on this app sucks. I ran way more then a mile the tracking is spotty. And my time was off because I going for a fast time but the tracking was just so bad. I run in my neighborhood a lot and I know what a mile is. Definitely ran way more. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!

apk I love the app and the fact it allows the creation of a sporting community (running for me). Helps get people competing, pushing and pulling each other along. The only downside was the removal of the timed sectors which also brought another element of fun and competition to the app. I think MMR should look seriously at reinstating that function. Apart from that keep doing what you're doing and getting the world fitter, one run at a time!

  3. Stephen Foster-avatar

app I've been going back and forth with the support team numerous times over the past couple weeks before leaving this review. I much prefer the free Strava app. My biggest issue is that with my Machina shoes the app doesn't record the form coaching - no cadence, no footstrike, no stride length, no ground contact time. I really like the Machina shoes tho.

galaxy watch Mapping is not correct. The app stops mapping at will. I uninstalled then reinstalled. Same behavior. Tech support passed it off as an OS prob. Just started happening in the last month w no OS update. I'm skeptical. Fixed this issue by turning off WiFi before starting a new workout. Mapping has had no problems since.

  5. tricia partlow-avatar

review I've had this app since before it was owned by under armour. Once they bought it out, the ads got more aggressive, and they added way too many extras. Now it crashes about once a mile. I haven't had a run or walk or bike in the last several months without it at least crashing once. All I want is GPS and time / distance tracking. I appreciate the social aspect, of sharing with my family, but this app has become unusable. Very disappointed that I need to look for a new app.

  6. K Mc-avatar

ios It works awesome most of the time. It is very informative. It gives you a map of your route, time you are running, distance, cadence, heart rate, mile splits, ect. But...there are those few times (though rare) that it seizes up and stops working in the middle of your run. It saves the info it has gathered but doesn't track the rest. That is very annoying (which is why there are 4 instead of 5 stars). Thankfully as I said, it does not happen often.

  7. Morgan Dickinson-avatar

دانلود One of the best apps for running I've used. Using it with connected shoes has blown me away. You get as much feedback as you would from a coach talking you through a recording of you running. The app itself is very versatile. You can use it for a good few diffrent activities. The community challenges are good but there are not as many as in some other apps. Treat yourself to some UA connected shoes, get this app, be amazed.

  8. John Hickey-avatar

apk download The App does well to log a run and distance, but now it has quit calculating the elevation and mixing up past workouts. The routes shown on the map for past workouts don't match the run I completed that day (even as recent as four days ago). I need to select the map for the actual route from that day to appear. A lot of pop up ads when trying to look through this information as well.

  9. Lauren Fay-avatar

runtastic vs map my run You can read other reviews and see that this app. is not flawless and that there are kinks here and there that can cause frustration when logging a workout. I have to say, though, that the FAQ and troubleshooting information within the app. is great, and the customer support I have received from the service team is second to none, even as a non MVP member! Though sometimes I have to uninstall and reinstall to restore functionality, this app meets my needs and is user friendly.

  10. michael R-avatar

download I run with my Samsung Fit2 sport watch. Previously when I would sync my watch to my Galaxy phone, MapMyRun would chart my heart rates. With the recent update, I believe it requires a MVP membership to see the heart rate data, weather data and popup adds have been added. I bought my watch based on the features that previously came free with the watch purchase.

  11. Mouton In Motion-avatar

UPDATE: Although in the past I have praised this software w/5⭐, after the past 2-3 months the standards have dropped. Unfortunately the accuracy of data has become problematic. It does not record daily workouts particularly workouts on FRIDAY and SATURDAY on weekly data reports. Those reports are deemed useless now. I only use it now as my pedometer on power walks. Currently sourcing another program that can do it all. As fitness professional I can no longer recommend to client. Get it together.

  12. d graville-avatar

Varying results. Has trouble syncing when in the house occasionally after a run due to 'no internet connection' which is not true (especially as it will take you to the shop with under armour link straight away) therefore it loses the workout . It also has issues showing previous workouts too. That said it's a useful tool for free and weve used abroad a number of times which was fun. Would hate to have paid for it or use it as a professional runner.

  13. Eli H-avatar

Good for mapping new routes, tracking your time/pace. The ks when mapping vs actually running/walking seem to be inconsistent though. Also wish there were a notification if I've forgotten to 'end' my run by the end of the day . Sometimes it's been going in the background for weeks without me knowing, then when I go to use it again and realise my last 'run' has been going for weeks it won't save or exit and freezes/crashes. Otherwise, pretty happy!

  14. Geles Lluna-avatar

I give for starts because despite that working really well, how to organize my workout is a bit limited and as well because it is a shame that there is no video for the workouts suggested, I think that with a bit more options for organizing how I would like to run and more videos it would me the better sport app in the market.

  15. Thieah Williams-avatar

    Thieah Williams

Seriously? This app is the most inconsistent thing I have EVER used. Everytime I go for a run (I always run the same route that is mapped out to 1.5 miles ) it is NEVER in sync. I end up having to run more than 1.5 miles for the app to even register that I have run that distance resulting in different run times. This wouldn't be that big of a deal if it was off by a little but I'm talking a whole half mile or more off. Seriously ridiculous.

  16. Robin Smith-avatar

I use both Map My Run and Map My Ride and they don't seem to use 'pause' in the same way? I have lost runs because the app paused and did not start up again when I started my run, whereas MMRide did, and I lost nothing. Otherwise MMRide/Run app is quite useful. Too many functions require payment or advanced, proprietary equipment to get the full benefit of the programme, whereas the free but now defunct Walk, Jog, Run app did not. RS.

  17. TheNamez Jay-avatar

First time using it, well impressed. It called out to say how much I'd done, i could close the screen and check other apps and it kept going. I did part walking, part jogging and loved that regardless of speed (which it also tells you), you still get an accurate distance total

  18. William Goldsmith-avatar

    William Goldsmith

Just very inconsistent, doesn't always synch properly with the Galaxy watch and so incomplete run analysis, days of the week don't match the actual day for the date under goals, and when you report an issue to them you're just wasting your time. I may keep using this app as it's great when it *does* work but I will stop paying the subscription for sure.

  19. A B-avatar

Requires you to sign up with Facebook. Disgusting. Only previous users were able to sign up with email. Even that is gross. Can't use this app without creating an account. *Update 5-13-20 for developer. * Yes, it does. When you open it there is nothing but sign UP with FACEBOOK. Or for previous account holders to sign IN with EMAIL. There is NO sign up with email for new accounts.

  20. Matthew Furlough-avatar

    Matthew Furlough

I would like to see the coach say more positive things to the person. I'm getting back into running again and I know I'm slow from my better times. Me personally I prefer more motivation than a robot telling me I'm slow every time except at the mile markers.

  21. Noah Colon-avatar

Map My Run is honestly one of the few things that keep me going back to trying to run. It's convenient features make it so easy to track a run and see your progress. It did butcher on of my routes, but it's a great app in all other capacities.

  22. Nathan Burke-avatar

Rating after one use: wanted an app to track my walk easily. Appeared 4 star until it came time to review the distance and route. I did a half Park Run which is 2.5km but the app showed 1.45km. Looking at the map I can see why, it didn't plot the course accurately, using "as the crow flies" for the return leg.

  23. Em Ski-avatar

This app was fine for tracking my run, but apparently it is also being used to solicit prostitution by other users. Not the kind of message I want to receive from any app, but especially one which I know is tracking my location and movements. I will be deleting this app and would strongly suggest Under Armour have default security settings which filter unwanted messages.

  24. Christopher Gard-avatar

    Christopher Gard

Having trouble with the app, it wont connect to my gps. My location is on and working cause my google maps work fine. It was working fine then went to use it yesterday and it wont connect. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Before this happened it was a 5star app. If I could get help I'll change my review, thank you in advanced!

  25. Alex Sablan-avatar

I love this app. It tracks my stepping really well. I use this app all the time. When I run up and around an area accounts that area too. It's so easy to set up and it actually tells you how much calories you've lost. I've used this appto lose weight and it's actually help me be motivated to lose weight.

  26. Tim Mastny-avatar

The GPS is spotty (running the same route is no guarantee of the same distance), the weekly dashboard will regularly lose workouts or calculate pace wrong, and trying to cancel a premium subscription renewal is nigh impossible. 2 stars because it has a free option

  27. Ciaran Rutherford-avatar

    Ciaran Rutherford

Overall good app, distance can vary when only using phone, a Fitbit or other accessory would be very beneficial if you don't already have one. Could also be nice if you could create a route without doing it first to check distance and inclines and declines and such

  28. ira lustbader-avatar

***edit*** finally logged the workout must have been a glitch...used it twice after with no issues...Downloaded for the 30 in 30 challenge right from the email link. Did my 3.57 miles hit the button to pause than finish all I have is the blue screen with the logo got past it once but no credit for the walk...

  29. Wade Newell-avatar

Really good app for details, I would've given it 5 stars if it wasn't such a hard task to find my friends, there should be a direct sharing link for profiles. It would also be good if you could put in your own shoes manually as an option as the app doesn't have all the models available

  30. Vijay Ram-avatar

Have used this for 5 months and very pleased. I would like it to show split mile timings from current run, but have to get out and come back in through Activity to get full information. Overall, useful and simple interface. Ads have increased significantly in last month.

  31. Zak Holmes-avatar

Great app, does everything it's meant to. However, when participating in challenges it doesn't always clock my workouts, this is frustrating because i would like to keep moving up the leaderboards for motivation but it doesn't clock my workouts

  32. Adriana Aleman-avatar

I love it, its great. Tell you your split times without you having to open the app, does well with music open. I wish you could just map a route prior to taking it so you can make your own route, rather than choosing a predetermined route or running it and saving it.

  33. Richy Murphy-avatar

Awful. App simply doesn't track the correct run. Done a 6km run today and the app reckons it was 2.16km. Same happened constantly. Trying to write a review on the actual app is a nightmare too, designed so that you can't do it easily. Use Strava or other alternatives as I know I will going forward.

  34. Diana Paproski-avatar

Got a very suggestive notification from unknown person/bot. I've only used this app 3 times for my runs and don't touch anything else on the app. So why am I getting a notification saying this, "looking for sex. Write me- [insert website that im excluding from this review] This person wants to be your friend." What the heck??? This is totally unsolicited and inappropriate.

  35. Rafael Galiano-avatar

Using an android, used to work great prior to April 2020, since then, the distance completely freezes in the first mile and its spotty afterwards. Uninstalled and reinstalled over five times, cleared the cache, and still no resolution.

  36. Jacob Cornwall-avatar

The app work really well for me, it mapped continuously and notified me on my mile marks with the distance and pace. I have only used it once so far so I don't know how any of its features work yet.

  37. Wisnu Destanto-avatar

The GPS is not accurate at all.. Please fix it.. I prefer using my watch.. Makes my Phantom connect useless. Reply: I've done as suggested. First try.. Went Ok.. Second try, loosing 3+ kilometres.. My watch recorded 6,8 kilos, this apps recorded 3,5 kilos.

  38. Noosheen-avatar

First time using it today was my first time back running after 3 year. The route recommendations are good I will probably try one on my next run. Today I used the start workout option which was good it recorded distance, calories burned, time taken and average time per km.

  39. Stephen Cadwell-avatar

    Stephen Cadwell

The only downside is the accuracy. It seems to use network location services even though gps is available. This results in seriously underestimating distances. The app gives too many notifications which get in the way of information I want to see on my smart watch.

  40. Kristopher Bland-avatar

    Kristopher Bland

I was surprised that it spat out the time was running because I downloaded this app two weeks ago. Great app and no complaints! I am a minimalist though, so I'm easily pleased with things.

  41. Jesus Uribe-avatar

Great app and a must have if you want to start tracking your fitness! Works flawlessly everytime. I've been using this app for over 6 months and all my workouts are saved and easy to pull up to review. It just works. 5/5 update .. still works

  42. Cher N-avatar

Have been using MapMyRun for as long as I can remember, for as long as I've been running, and it's three only app I think of for tracking distance runs. I love the map feature and sometimes make a game of creating a route that becomes a pretty shape or design.

  43. Jesse Smith-avatar

I've used this on and off for a while and I like it, plain and simple. It's not overly complicated but at the same time it provides enough information about your performance that you are able to understand right where you're at in relation to your goals.

  44. Sam Borland-avatar

Great app. Lots of options, whether road or trail running, on a treadmill, or doing sprints, it has you covered. The run mapping feature is awesome to keep track of your runs

  45. Linda Hutchison-avatar

    Linda Hutchison

Not intuitive to me how to go between ( stats and map) or how to share the map. Use it all the time when kayaking. The app has "saved us" by helping us find our launch point when in new locations.

  46. Luke Boggeln-avatar

App works great and doesn't bog you down with ads or anything. Unfortunately, it's a huge battery drain and I have had to uninstall it a few times because it kept crashing.

  47. Donna Hein-avatar

I thought it worked well for what I needed it for. It was pretty user-friendly except I couldn't figure out how to pull up the screen I wanted right away. I ended up finding it eventually though!

  48. Darren Flynn-avatar

It's a great app when it works, been a few issues lately, 1 is I've good internet, my work out gets uploaded, but dont show in activity feed dispute it not been in unsynced workouts, and the run shows on the website.

  49. Mike Lonergan-avatar

It is really easy to use. Occasionally it chokes when asked for stats, but deleting all its data on my phone solves that. It then redownloads and displays the correct information.

  50. Adolfo Monroy-avatar

Everything was always fix when something was wrong with an update. I would like a marker for every mile so I can see on the map where the first and second mile. Would be nice

  51. Ben Coyle-avatar

Just started.. I'm enjoying it right now. Tells you right away when to start. Also tells you your distance when running. So you can stay focused to the end.

  52. A Google user-avatar

Excellent customer service, love the pace graphs for visual feedback on tempo and interval runs. Just waiting for the option to combine time and distance in my coaching set up, they're on it!

  53. Tony Wheeler-avatar

I've found the distances and routes off for 30-40% of my runs. Struggling to get it to work for interval training using the voice while listening to music... it's a faff.

  54. Peter Aungle-avatar

The coaching is very helpful, and I finally understand how to interpret the data from pairing my shoes with the app. Motivates me to run and is helping me become a better runner.

  55. Alexis Chance-avatar

Can not register to the app. With or without facebook. Says internet connection fail. With or without Wi-Fi. I had enough internet to download the app. Needs work.

  56. Lyle Hanson-avatar

Really good app. I use it currently for making and tracking my runs. Syncs well with MyFitnessPal. Looking forward to getting into the premium features and seeing the data in a deeper manner.

  57. Brandy Isagawa-avatar

This app is great, it updates you as you run for distance and time. You can also review your run after your done on a map. I recommend this free app.

  58. Janda Venegas-avatar

Tracks well, I like the updates on miles run, time and speed during run. It has other exercises to track which is nice. The missing star is for the missing roller blading option.

  59. Melaniya Buschnyj-avatar

    Melaniya Buschnyj

Seems easy to use. I like that i can access my camera through the app. As this was my first time using it, I'm only giving it 4 stars. As I use more features i may upgrade or down grade my rating.

  60. Mary Tipton-avatar

This was a great run app for me. It ran in the background while I listened to some good music. I learned how far I ran for the first time, and how many calories I burned.

  61. Laura Fogarty-avatar

Have been using for years, sometimes reliable, sometimes disappointing garbage. Hasn't been saving workouts lately. If I didn't have years of workout on here I would switch apps and recommend Nike or something.

  62. Heather Shirley-avatar

I usually love this app, but now every day or few days a week I go for my walk or hike..if I pause the app, after I resume it freezes and I have to restart. it's a bummer!

Your "couch to 5k" feature doesn't audio active when to walk / run. It's an obnoxious feature. Especially when running and attempting to concentrate. Settings don't allow to update.

  64. Gordon Wang-avatar

I never rate apps but this thing was great. Amazing app for running. No hidden fees to access basic features. Displays distance, time, calories burned, let's you know your lap speed per mile through your ear buds. It's grand

Works well most of the time. Have had to delete an update a few times to keep the GPS calibrated. Nice to be able to keep a record over the years.

I really enjoy the app and it works wonderfully for me and it is a great way for me to record my distance without having to use my data and it even let's me attach photos which I find very cute xx

  67. Dan Williams-avatar

Use the app on water, biking and walking. Works all the time. Like saving routes I enjoy delete those I don't. Used it for whale watching one time just to figure how far we had to go to find them

  68. Androlacus-avatar

Fantastic If you are able to get the UA HOVR running shoes and pair with the app the tech really comes to life. The detail and feedback it gives from the Bluetooth chip in the shoes is quite simply astounding.

  69. Johnny Jenkins-avatar

Would be perfect IF the software worked cross platform as in I start a run on the Galaxy Watch Map My Run app, and it also was started in the Map My Run app on the phone so going live would work essentially from the watch.

It was my first time using this kind of app. And I am very happy how easy it was tracking my time and distance and thr map. I think it is brilliant.

  71. Lilly Sanchez-avatar

First time using it and I genuinely enjoyed the app while running. All you do is run/walk and it will let you know once a mile has been complete..

  72. Gene Powell-avatar

I had to give a 1 star because there was no 0. Absolute rubbish as soon as the phone locked it would stop your route until you unlocked again then mapped you ran in a straight line. Not good

  73. Keith A-avatar

Could be a good app. I guess you're still having Google Maps issues because it won't track my run. I'll give it one more chance before I uninstall.

  74. Viki Divit-avatar

Really good app for tracking walls and runs. Rather less pleased with the message I received asking if I wanted to meet up for sex. Especially since my 14 daughter also uses this app.

  75. Ian Newstead-avatar

Shocking!! Keeps missing the first 3rd, to 3/4 of a mile, meaning inaccurate data for the distance you've ran. You'd get better data by manually measuring a paper map.

  76. Mikki Smith-avatar

I've been on one run so far with the app. It was simple and easy to use. I liked that I could write a couple notes after my run. I'm definitely going to keep using.

JUNK ! Sync failures. Features not work and Support is worthless. GARBAGE ! ! RUNS TOO OFTEN DON"T SAVE. WHEN THEY DO, A LONG TIME TO SYNC SAVE. Underarmour ought to be ashamed. Get STRAVA instead. Updated 9/8/2019: still GARBAGE, same issues as previous; only keep in as a better editable backup to/than Strava. Continues to Sync fail horrible. Don''t purchase products from Under Armour until MMR (owned bt UA) fixes sync issues. updated 5/13/2020.

  78. Steve D-avatar

The Elevation STILL won't display. And there is a blank screen when I click to show all data. Annoying! Prob going to switch apps soon to one that works properly.

  79. Lewis Elliott-avatar

The app works well but doesn't tell you when you're stood still like Strava so it doesn't have an accurate lap time. Please fix.

  80. Rachael Thomas-avatar

Super app. Really great for tracking and monitoring progress. Love the social parts of the app to see what others are doing!

A really solid app, great for doing what it says, mapping your run, your distance, your pace and giving you overall splits, and even your calories if you also put in your weight. I am however taking a star off for missing a major functional item that should have been there for years by now: the ability to define your own split times to report to you as you run. Right now it will only report to you major distance markers at either each mile or each kilometer, but you can't define your own splits.

  82. Gregory Lisk-avatar

Great for tracking my runs, I'm still new to the app so I'm going to give it some more time and if it continues to work well, might just bump this rate up.

  83. Amber Shepherd-avatar

It worked well for my purposes. The only problem I had was centering the map back on my location after I used the map to look ahead.

  84. Michael-avatar

Just what I needed an app that shows my distance, pace, and path. Great app and this is my first use. Very accurate information

  85. Ed Brokhoff-avatar

First measured run with this app. Still getting uaed to it. Worked well as far as pace and distance. Although i couldn't see the distance until after my run.

  86. Adam Wunschl-avatar

The GPS is pretty accurate and I like it when it turns the music off and tells me the time, pace, distance.

  87. Corey Dean-avatar

I really like this app, but it's changed with this premium upgrade. It didn't have it before. Why do it now? So my rating went from a 5 to 3 star.

Good app although I wish she would say nice instead of neice. Also want it to tell my distance in kms not miles. I have it set for kms but the audio tell me every mile time.

  89. Chris Baker-avatar

Free version is good for a beginner. I like the split pace and ability to see time per km, as well as calories burnt.

  90. Anetta Cupido-avatar

Great app. Gives you lots of info while walking or running. Also have lots of workouts that you can follow.

  91. Hywel Thomas-avatar

Don't know if it's my phone but the app kept closing during my run. It kept my progress but it didn't give me the mid-run updates that it used to.

  92. Barbara Serio-avatar

I use this for walking. Good for tracking steps and distance as well as pace. So far I'm happy with this app.

It is great for tracking and selecting a route. I use the computer to plan a route and send to my device to try.

  94. Joe Stevenson-avatar

Easy to use, I like the blue and white brand as an easy identifier for if you forget to turn it on after you start.

  95. Sui Generis-avatar

Doesn't seem to readily display splits. .. otherwise it's pretty much my goto running app. I also have a gearfit2 which I use in conjunction with MMR.

Map My Run used to give free stats. Now you have to upgrade to premium for that. I am not impressed by this change.

  97. E E-avatar

New update sucks!!! All of my data under "Show All Data" has disappeared! What the heck guys! Can I please get it back? If it's not back by this weekend then I'm deleting the app and posting on social media.

Good app really works well. Helps you keep track of your run which is a big motivator to keep going further or just pace yourself!

I love this app. I use it daily. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Its gives me so much support and l feel good when l get my results xx

Great app. I use it for rucking instead of running. Does a great job either way. App has never failed mid workout. I start it when I step off and put it in the ruck. It gives me pace and distance traveled at each mile mark through my headset. I don't have to think about it again until I finish the workout, pull my phone out of the ruck and tell it I'm done. It tracks the route, distance pace and gives me a chance to log some comments on the workout and a pic if I choose to.
