Reviews From google play store

The app works ok as a workout log. Not so well as a tracker. Sometimes it will stop tracking for no apparent reason. Notification system doesn't work well. Notifications are sporadic or nonexistent. Tech support is minimal. 12/10/19 After using for a few years now this app has not gotten any better. Even with paid services it doesn't do what it advertises. About the only thing that works is the log. Tracking quit working a couple of upgrades ago. Looking for an app that actually tracks.

Mostly a great app. The only reason I mark it down is the GPS tracking is still way off for logging in miles. I am still getting runs where several miles I did are even being counted even though the timer is going when then in turn gives a slower minute/mile average. I am not sure if the caloric count is consequently off too then. When it works correctly this is a GREAT user friendly app, it's just not super accurate.

Needs work. The app doesn't connect to my WatchActive such that if I start a work out on the phone my watch has no idea. Therefore I can't monitor my progress on the watch as expected. The same holds true if I start the workout on the watch. Frustratingly, if I pair my headphones with the watch, I don't hear the audio at all! The other issue is that on the phone, the voice only tells me when I stop or resume. If this is the best it can do, I might as well stay with Samsung Health.

I've read up on other reviews. I noticed when I head out on my run, the timer on the lock screen is not there. I run 8 miles a day and the outline marking is saying i am running thru houses and buildings. It has to be the new update. Wasn't having this much trouble since downloading this app in july. I would like the contact support team to help me with this issue! Thanks again!

Everything is really good, except when you ask it to tell you your time throughout, it's as if the app goes to sleep and sometimes is delayed. For example if you were doing 1 minute sprints and you wanted it to tell you when a minute is up, you can set it to do so, but it doesn't always tell you on the minute, sometimes it even skips a few minutes before it announces your time. The only way to make sure it tells you throughout, is to hold your phone and make sure the app is open.

Very slow to run and crashed a number of times (I have a less expensive smartphone but was borderline unusable). The pre-run mapping does not show footpaths and has no workaround for it (if you try to bridge the gap to the next road it completely changed the route). I liked the usability on my pc to map my route but this issue made it mostly useless if not in a city or large town. After my run I looked at the map and apparently I flew over buildings and fields, completely changing the distance.

Works fantastic, however recently when I tried to enter the app it had a screen saying 'how was your ride?' and wouldn't let me exit. In order to get it working again, I had to clear all app data from my phone and log in again. Luckily now it seems to be working as normal again. Really hope this doesn't happen again as this is the only app that accurately tracks my route!

I don't get it - it randomly decides to stop recording where I'm going and then restarts, but keeps timing it correctly; so it thinks I ran <1 km in 20 mins :))) happened three times in a row. And I live in Amsterdam, not exactly a place where GPS / location connection is spotty. Less than useless app (the shoes are great though!)

Fixed below problem after MMR response - thanks. I used to be an mvp member, I am back from injury so starting running again - 3 runs recorded three times it's stopped measuring distance while running. Either it doesn't like Amazon music I've got on or Android but it keeps tracking the route and time in the background but the measurement of the run ceases (and the app goes to the background).

Decent enough. The ads are a bit in your face a good chunk of the time. I'd also appreciate more in-depth stats of metrics such as my max speed achieved. Other than that, solid app that's free, but nothing to get overly worked up about.

This app used to work great, but the last two runs I have taken have been measured incorrectly. An extra .1 mile is being added to each mile. I have been running these routes for years. Will need to find a new GPS tracking app if this isnt fixed quickly. Thanks for your time.

Overall Okay! I have two main issues with the app - 1st, the dashboard display. Sundays appear to be counted as the start of the week, however the dashboard displays Monday as the start. So your final run of ths week is displayed but the millage is counted in the week after. It makes it quite confusing atleast to start with. Also I wish the app could display some more lifetime stats or even PB's for race distances like Runkeepr does. If it wasn't for this it would be 5 star

Great app for tracking my runs. I like the coaching and verbal feedback. However, i think the split times are wrong. It'll say something like my total mileage is two miles in 15:30 with a split time of 7:15....Which i can't figure out. Other than that, i really like it. 👍

Based on years of using MapMyRun. I would normally give it a 5-star rating but several months ago my workouts stopped syncing (and are trapped in limbo) and MapMyRun has not been able to fix the problem. That seriously degrades the usefulness of the app.

I having a lot of issues with this app. It worked great while i was using the free version but once I paid the annual subscription the app has been freezing on me all the time even though I run the exact same routes. Definitely will cancel my subscription once it's time to renew

I have used the basic upgraded to training plan, but this does not include the advanced stats, which I think it should. Also there have been bugs which changed the displayed stats, also program would mysteriously close and other apps would come on. Frustrating when it happens during a run. On the positive side, has kept me engaged in running and with the challenges. Keeps good stats, except current pace is really average of recent pace, maybe gps limitation. I rate good to very good.

I've been using this app for years to track my hiking. Until recently it's done a wonderful job of tracking time, distance, and pace. But now, it only correctly tracks time. I can do that with my watch. App is now useless and I'm looking for a replacement.

Ok app. I think I remember a previous time when there was a built in music player. This needs to happen for 5 stars, otherwise it's a pain in the ass to navigate music in different apps while running.

Good app. Though sometimes it gives bad info from my runs. Never use to do that in Nevada. But since being in Idaho, it will from time to time. But for what It works. It's a good app.

Fix your app please. I'd like to get an accurate distance. First run, It changed my distance from 2.06mi to .36mi the second I clicked pause. Downloaded your app because Strava was doing the same, so I might as well go back

Great for tracking progress. Had some glitches in the past where it didnt start because of some internet and service issues I personally had. But overall great.

I have used this for years but now I don't trust it. The distance is extremely inaccurate now, it use to be real good but not anymore. You need to seriously fix this issue.

Did what i wanted it to do for my first map my run with time and distance. This app definitely helped motivate me to go running "now" rather than go running "tomorrow". So far, so good.

Used runkeeper before, installed this one for better Distance tracking - turned out to be a lot worse. Can't believe its so hard to track gps signal and get a proper distance for a run. Today a 5 km run was tracked by Mapmyrun as 1.24 km, just rubish

Simple to use app that provides basic information needed for running. Used it to train for my marathons. Audio feedback gives me useful info on my pace, average pace, duration and time of day every 1km split.

Perfect for running. Even has plans for training certain distances. And with location on you can even record runs even when you don't have coverage or WiFi.

I use it to record all my cardio workouts. The tracking is accurate, and it works well even with limited connectivity.

Accurate tracking of time, distance. Love the ability to journal, photograph your activity. I really like this easy to use app!

Needed something to help complete some virtual 5k's and this was excellent! Distance, time, and allows you to upload photos so you can have a memory of the race. Awesome!

Great tracker, GPS tracks my run without fault. I have to use map my run in conjunction with my fitness tracker since my tracker drops GPS signal. Would highly recommend!!!

The app used to tell me how many miles I have run over a choice of times, one month, one year etc etc. this feature has disappeared! Otherwise works well.

First time using MMR and I like it better than some of the other apps. Still need to give it a few more tries. Hoping it works with my Samsung Gear to track my heart rate.

Tracked a straight line instead of my run. Worthless. Lots of better apps that don't track every single thing you do to sell you athletic wear.

I use this app to set routes for and track my walks. Tracking my workouts, the route I took, my pace, distance, total time are all great.

Interface for photos while on workout is cumbersome. Lost some good shots. Update: Looks like you guys worked on this! Thanks!

I am embarrassed to say that the MI fit app is actually better than this app. On more than a couple of occasions this app has failed to track my workout, the most recent being calculating my 9 km run as a 0.87km run.

Works well most of the time. Occasionally it's slow to show info when I'm checking during a run but that could be my phone playing up.

Love that mile update with pace. Like I am running with a friend. Keeps track of my workouts and where I have been.

The lack of customer service my Under Armour and Mapmyrun is mind blowing. I have emailed, sent Tweets, commented on IG, send messages on Facebook and yet no response. I cannot use my app because I continually get asked to update profile after signing in!

GPS doesn't stay on when I start running. Or when my screen is off. Or if leave the app. I'll stop. Any way to fix this ?

I attempted contacting for support however my captcha verification continuously failed (I just couldn't get all the buses and traffic lights) and baisically what I wanted to know is whether an individual will remain anonymous when you share sensitive data with affiliates or process sensitive data, as mentioned?

Been using this app for years. Most the time I have been happy with it. Dont always trust the mileage but its close enough to keep my training plans on track

Good, but doesn't always have audio coaching on all training plan runs, so you're left to tracking intervals yourself which is awkward.

Easy to use. Updates on distances and pace whilst also having music playing. Measures distances slightly different to my watch.

this is pretty accurate in my opinion. i like the accountability this app creates when syncing up with running friends. the public option is a bit creepy at times. Joining challenges is also motivating.

Much more accurate than similar Samsung and Google apps. Great at tracking your pace etc. There's whole parts of this that I'm not using but I plan to investigate further.

The app used to give accurate distance but is now shorting my distance by nearly 50%. If it is not fixed soon I'll be deleting this app.

Lots of bugs and flaws in this program. Auto pause function works poorly. Audio commands are not effective.

Only recorded time, not distance this last walk. It works intermittently, so not worth the download and install.

I've been using the free version of this app for over 4 years (it recently sent me my stats for those 4 years, and now I understand why my legs are sore and I'm tired. Over 100,000 calories burned!). I've only had one glitch occur while running: the map that logs my run acknowledged the full 4 miles, but the stats only showed less than 1 mile. Since this is the only glitch I've had, I may have run through a wormhole. I am quite pleased with this app.

Very easy to use. Also connects with other apps and sensors. No ads.

My create a route wont open in app. When i click on email link it only shows browsers. I also bookmarked it on the website online and its not showing in app!

Would rate higher if it didn't short me distance when it's cold outside. I run the exact same route everyday but since the weather has gotten colder it's shorting my distance.

I love this app!! Keeps me accountable, and the split times p/km. Have had this app for 4 years and I still love it. No issues

Unless I missed it. Phone kept coming on and it pauses the work out. Wondering if there's a better to keep if from pausing accidentally.

A great app. I gave it less than 5 Stars this time only because of the recent introduction of the inane, obnoxious, phony AI "attaboy" comments like "great job," "you're crushing this," etc. that you cannot turn off without turning off all the other voice feedback (telling you when you've reached each mile mark, your average speeds, etc.) Let's hope they soon include an option to turn off those obsequious "what a good boy you are; you're doing so well" comments.

I have used this app for about a year and really enjoy being able to track and have a log of my workouts. I also enjoy the challenges, they do help keep me motivated.

Great to find your way back when hiking even if there is no cell reception. The map is dowloaded automatically if you open the app before you get started.

Lots of good features. Especially helpful when running in Under-armor shoes with bluetooth trackers! Would like more access to friends weekly stats in their bio on the moble app, though.

It's easy to navigate and understand. The voice saying how many miles I've gone is very useful

I have the free version. It's pretty good, but I don't see much reason to pay for it when I already pay for Endomondo.

I love using this app. Very dependable. I've got my run history all the way back to 2016 when I first start running

9/30/2019. I love this app, but they keep messing with it and ruining simple things. After a run, I immediately hit the red pause button to save my time. However, the clock won't stop until AFTER mapmyrun rambles off my splits, time of day, total mileage etc. I lose on average over 8 seconds as I fumble to unlock my phone and stop it myself after a grueling run. I then have to go back and manually edit the run times for each run. I have enough to worry about tired after runs.

This app is amazing. I wanted to start running and get myself to do a 5k. The app has options to help you run distance or help you run at a pace. I started doing 16min miles and now after a few weeks I am doing 10.46 a mile which is incredible. The run/walk intervals are such a big help and I always use this app even when I go for a walk during lunch. Its amazing how much you can walk just on your lunch break (:

I bought the under armour phantom shoes and got the app for a year to train for a half marathon. Using the training plan on the app it told me after my first run my stride was too long and could cause injury. It was awkward to shorten it at first, but so worth it and even helps suggest how to fix your stride. After a couple weeks I have gone from 12+ minutes per mile to 10:24 or less! I have never run this fast in my last several trainings. Just put in your headphones and run!

Mostly fantastic! It takes a bit to figure it out, but works well.

Anything that gets you moving is great..this app is running 2.0 even for beginners and well recommended

Guess I did not post this review several months ago when it happened: For some reason my dashboard only credited 1 run (4.6 mi) last week towards my weekly goal (a rather high 15 mi/week). At the same time for that week, it shows both of my runs in the bar graph below (1 bar for each day, which are accurate - 4.6mi for Tuesday and 6.25 mi for Friday). Always something quirky for this app After a bit of a hiatus with just a few runs/walks in the past several weeks, the app seems to be working bett

I've used this app for several years &in general been happy, but something went wrong this morning. I ran my usual route, the same path I take every day and the mileage tracking was off. Where I typically get the one mile notification I got nothing! Then about .3 miles later, I got the 1 mi. notification. I continue to run and the misreading of distance continued. My typical 3.69 run only registered as 2.75.I ended the run, saved the inaccurate data and ran the route again, with the same results

Was fine at the beginning. However, now on my galaxy s8+, the typing is poor (not intelligent enough to capitalise the first letter of a new sentence or implement the phones autocorrect), and the timer pauses when I interact with spotify on the home screen. This results in missed timings of distances because the distance measure pauses too. However, when I plan to press the pause button, it does not respond properly. Very poor overall. Will have to use a Fitbit or strava from now on.

Fun for my runs. Didn't seem to connect with Fitbit but it's because i have the basic band

Good app. Map would occasionally freeze, but I think it was more my phone than the app. Update 1/25/19 no more freezing. GPS seems accurate. Paid version has live tracking, but no longer sends push notifications to friends when you start. Allows adding workouts done outside of app. I just reupped my subscription so that says something. Update 4/1/19. GPS froze up again, but timer kept running. Pity it only fails when I rely on it. Update 11/4/19 last app update may have improved GPS problems.

Hi support I am hugely disappointed. I upgraded to Premium simply and ONLY because a small portion would be deducted MONTHLY. Only for your team to debit the YEARLY subscription once off. That's not what was supposed to happen and i did not budget for that type of payment plan, especially because that is mot how you advertise your premium plan. Now im left with no option but to request a full refund and cancel my subscription or you can what is supposed to be deducted per mnth.😣

More than amazing! Love that i can share my routes and also use other routes from other people! Turns the running game around completely and i love it! GPS may be a tad bit off (not that it matters to me much), but it might for others. Other than that, great app! 10 out of 5 stars.

Most useless app. Refuses to log me in citing internet problem. Forgot password also confirms email sent but no email received even in spam. I believe many people have experienced this. Worthless even after spending so much money buying their shoes and the new Samsung UA watch. Money making gimmick..... Don't fall for it

GPS is terrible. Doesn't track when your phone is locked and in a pocket.

First time user and so far so good. I'm not a runner at heart yet but have been challenged by a friend to run with her. I'm using the couch to 5k app but distance counter stops when timer stops. This helps me track total distance if I'm not back to start point when time stops. I will be able to use this app on bike rides as well.

Me and my son run daily and we both have this app. But over half the time our mileage is off.. the longer we run the more it is off.. it also would be nice for both of us to run and only have to use 1 phone and count for both of us. Mayb like have me bring my phone and be able to tag him , so it will also count on his map my run.

Mapped a much lower distance and didn't keep a good pace record. I compared with my watch

Day 1, already love it. When im running and listening to music, this app notifies me on when i hit a mile and the time it took, then calculates my pace time. I love that i can take notes at the end of the work, great way to see my improvement from day one to, lets say, day 30. Might get the premium if this app continues to impress.

Absolutely terrible, if there was a negative star rating it would be -2 star. I was able to down load it app but can not sign in using my email. I have supplied all information requested and keep getting an error message that there's an issue with my internet connection. Tried signing in several times and reinstalled app a few times, still same error. I'm using a Samsung S10, has anyone else had this problem?

The calories expennded is not very accurate (always eres on the high side) when the time for a bike workout is entered

Took away the most needed functionality of how and why i use the app: i like to test out paths before i run it to see how long the route is. I HATE it only gives you preloaded suggestions. Does underarmor think we are too stupid to make our own routes from the phone app? If you can do it, theyve made it so tough to figure it out i gave up after 15 minutes. Its like they dont trust our ability as runners to choose our own routes

I like a lot of features of the app, but I've noticed it seems to pause my workout impulsively, usually if the terrain changes, even if my hair doesn't. Luckily it quickly resumes, but I can't trust this to be a totally accurate account.

This app takes forever to load. I have reinstalled it several times. I cannot choose any menu item, change the workout type, or log my workout. I am switching to Gamin or Polar. Totally unacceptable lack of functioning.

Pause function lags by 2-3 seconds and goes into a loop of Pause/ Resume.

Great app for those of us that don't have the fancy smart watches nor the fancy GPS watches.

Easy to use and easy to get details required from the run data

Pretty Bad. Auto pause is way too active, pausing and resuming while I am hiking. It also prompts me each time it does this with voice, in both constant pause and resume notifications. Turning voice off does nothing. This results in an unbearable music / audiobook experience if using this feature. Needs to be fixed!

I lose connection periodically and it does not record my run accurately!

Great app works great and provides very good information and tracking.

Please please fix this This is terrible. App was so good till the last update Timing and distance is way off. So disappointed

I've been using Map My Run off and on thru out the years and I keep coming back to it after the next new running app disappoints me. Map My Run is a good app for tracking your runs. The people in the Community are great and supportive no matter what your skill level or experience is.

Great tracking app! There's a lag with the pause button when accessing it from the lock screen which can create a queue if you press it multiple times- it can be very annoying and distracting when running. I'd love to track my run after the fact by drawing on a map, in case I forget to use the app and I want to calculate the distance I travelled on my route.

Good and straightforward. You don't need the paid version to get what you need to upgrade your basic running experience. Hit the button and start running. The app'll sound off when you've gone a mile and each mile. Tells you your splits. It's great. No ads. You can save a log of your runs if you want. I highly recommend it.

Latest update with your 'improved' GPS has completely thrown off my run. I do 5 and 10 kilometer runs and have been tracking my average time over each kilometer and total distance for months. This new update has thrown the distance off by 20 - 30%. All my stats and everything I have been tracking is now irrelevant and obselete. Time for a new app.

A great app for runners, accurate data as well. Thanks UA

This app doesn't track runs sometimes and also sends inaccurate weekly reports.

Accuracy has been terrible with the last update. The tracker freezes multiple times during a run and records about 0.1 mile short out of each one mile. That really adds up after a few miles. Sad, as this used to be a solid 5 star app before the update.

At first it was great until it stopped recording my distances. Short distance doesn't seem to be a problem, but when I get to my max distances and try to save it sits there and syncs and syncs and doesn't save it and then if I hit the back button all is lost. That's BS... Also it does not sync to My Fitness Pal.
