Reviews From google play store

I bought the under armour phantom shoes and got the app for a year to train for a half marathon. Using the training plan on the app it told me after my first run my stride was too long and could cause injury. It was awkward to shorten it at first, but so worth it and even helps suggest how to fix your stride. After a couple weeks I have gone from 12+ minutes per mile to 10:24 or less! I have never run this fast in my last several trainings. Just put in your headphones and run!

Good and straightforward. You don't need the paid version to get what you need to upgrade your basic running experience. Hit the button and start running. The app'll sound off when you've gone a mile and each mile. Tells you your splits. It's great. No ads. You can save a log of your runs if you want. I highly recommend it.

I used to be an mvp member, I am back from injury so starting running again - 3 runs recorded three times it's stopped measuring distance while running. Either it doesn't like Amazon music I've got on or Android but it keeps tracking the route and time in the background but the measurement of the run ceases (and the app goes to the background). Please fix, I want to come back as an mvp but haven't confidence in this at present. (luckily Google is still tracking me so I know the final distance)

More than amazing! Love that i can share my routes and also use other routes from other people! Turns the running game around completely and i love it! GPS may be a tad bit off (not that it matters to me much), but it might for others. Other than that, great app! 10 out of 5 stars.

Love the app. Just one thing I dislike...when I'm listening to music and it stops so the app can tell me I've reached a mile, then when it returns to my music, it's way louder. I just wish it went back to my original volume.

Great tracking app! There's a lag with the pause button when accessing it from the lock screen which can create a queue if you press it multiple times- it can be very annoying and distracting when running. I'd love to track my run after the fact by drawing on a map, in case I forget to use the app and I want to calculate the distance I travelled on my route.

I have used mapmyrun for years now and I really like the versatility. I can add many types of exercises and it keeps track of how much I do in a week, so it always keeps me motivated because I want to do as much or better than the previous week or month 😊

Excellent free app! New features track foot strike angle and ground contact time in accordance with pace and duration. Minus 1 star for lacking the ability to choose goals for pace, cadence, stride length, foot strike angle, etc... Individually and view a progress report on a consolidated view.

Great app! The workout screen needs to show your desired pace for the workout chosen. Currently on a 5km training plan and I find it really hard to remember what speed I'm supposed to be at.

I used map my hike for a few years. Then that app was dropped and told to move to map my run. Now pictures all upload sideways and upside down in activity feed. And, of course, they make if difficult to download your history, trying Stockholm's style engagement.

Terrible, the accuracy of the tracking is way off. when I make turns on my route it suddenly cuts through object ie building and streets on the map. Making my run off by half mile or more. There is no excuse for that. Seriously it really bad.

The only thing missing is progress cues on the training plan runs. It gives distance and time cues but a "halfway there" would be great to know when to turn around and something to indicate that the run goal is finished rather than just starting over.

Whenever I use the app and then go look at my distance, the GPS has me all over the place - bot sure if my phone or app? Totally disappointing for long runs when it's the difference between 13 miles and 14 miles

App keeps auto pausing when I am running. I counted that this happened 11 times. Also, app refuses to synchronise my run to my account. Emailed to user support to request assistance but no one bothered to reply.

Great app for tracking and storing your running stats. Incredibly user friendly, full of great features. Well worth the paid version, which I've been subscribed to for several years. Love it!

Works great with my Garmin. After some fumbling, I figured out just use the app and don't mess with the watch. That is the sole reason for the 4 rating

Really solid running app . So far it's my favorite . I don't have to worry about about constant interruptions telling me I've ran a quarter mile .

Great run tracker. Mileage can be .1 or so off but otherwise great. I use this to track my timing and splits for runs I create on the fly, I wouldn't know the other functionalities.

It seems to track my activities fine but my dashboard always has activities missing and for some reason it never shows anything against Sundays. Also the voice changes from English to American every mile!

Well, it says you can edit your review but you actually cannot. I cannot see my past review to edit it, only the rating. So since I cannot edit or see my past review I'll have to stay at 4 star rating until I use the upgraded version for a month.

I really like this app but since the last update it has been giving me pace stats in km but after every mile distance. All my settings are in kms. Please amend to indicators every km.

I want duration and distance only on the app. It constantly changes and I want it to be the same readout every time I run.

Doesn't work well on Galaxy watch. App foes to the background and I can't use it to see my workout, pause, or stop when done. Terrible.

Tracks small movement and precise GPS. Even calories burnt! I like the fact you can save runs, with pics and stories to share.

Tried to map a run but all it wanted to do was find the shortest point to point, was on the website as directed to create a run. Easier to just drive around than try and map it on the website

Edit.. when are we going to get an app that works and has been paid for? What's the point of paying for an app that doesn't work? Under Armour's solution to solve the problems I'm experiencing? Log in to a computer. I kid you not! I tell you what UA, I'll just strap a PC to my arm before my run shall I?

Would be far better if the GPS was actually consistent. There is a considerable variation between my regular workouts, sometimes as much as 200m or so.

So far it has worked great, I like the mile marker notifications. This app is missing an elevation counter.

Pretty accurate GPS tracker (except when going over water e.g. bridges, running alongside rivers, for some reason) and I like that you can take photos & leave notes regarding the runs.

Very good app, could use some better features to track where you're running instead of displaying it. Like a GPS

It took three uses before all features were functional. Seems like there was a GPS problem that fixed itself third time around.

A good app, it has a better UI than Strava which is supposed to be the best one. I just use this to log my mileage

Map I do like the functions of this app although Map My Run has difficulty tracking my distance. All other apps I use gets the distance correct each time.

Tracks my run perfectly on the map and gives additional information. It's everything I need in an app.

Pretty good app! Didnt really have many issues so far, besides the ads being a slight nuisance.

I switched to this App as a substitute from Map My Hike app which was no longer supported by the same developer. Both of them are very similar.

This app is amazing. I wanted to start running and get myself to do a 5k. The app has options to help you run distance or help you run at a pace. I started doing 16min miles and now after a few weeks I am doing 10.46 a mile which is incredible. The run/walk intervals are such a big help and I always use this app even when I go for a walk during lunch. Its amazing how much you can walk just on your lunch break (:

Can't find where to change settings from "run" two other workouts like on the original version of map my hike. Otherwise I would give ⭐⭐⭐🌟🌟

I would like the app to have a playback experience for runs and biking. With a green dot that ravels the route you took to the end.

Great app. Add a "Lap" tab so I can seperate my walk/run/intervals into it and it would be greater.

I have been using this app or a couple of years, I have used others but keep coming back to Map My Run. I think that says it all👍

Works well. Sometimes the save option takes way too long. Overall worth using.

Guess I did not post this review several months ago when it happened: For some reason my dashboard only credited 1 run (4.6 mi) last week towards my weekly goal (a rather high 15 mi/week). At the same time for that week, it shows both of my runs in the bar graph below (1 bar for each day, which are accurate - 4.6mi for Tuesday and 6.25 mi for Friday). Always something quirky for this app After a bit of a hiatus with just a few runs/walks in the past several weeks, the app seems to be working bett

First time using it! Loved it, great how it tells you how you are doing every couple of KM whilst on the run

Frustrated that it stopped at our mid-point of the run and then restarted another separate run on the way back.

Perfect app, and it runs in the background so you can still do everything else like play pandora :)

Easy to start, simple interface. Could integrate better with other apps.

Was going well. Now seems to be tracking at 1.6km for no reason. Tried changing settings to no avail.

Best app for stride/pace training when paired with under armour ct or phantom se connect shoes! I Have improved my running endurance with the coaching aids and data given, love this app

I love it! Very useful and much more accurate than fitbit and phone apps.

A great way to keep track of miles and pace and map a run for future use.

Hi support I am hugely disappointed. I upgraded to Premium simply and ONLY because a small portion would be deducted MONTHLY. Only for your team to debit the YEARLY subscription once off. That's not what was supposed to happen and i did not budget for that type of payment plan, especially because that is mot how you advertise your premium plan. Now im left with no option but to request a full refund and cancel my subscription or you can what is supposed to be deducted per mnth.😣

Works sometimes often loses the location. When voice is activated it makes my music very loud.

Good on the whole but since the update voice on distance (every 0.5k) is erratic sometimes works sometimes has its own distance agenda

Works as great. Option to record pace, time, and/or notes per session is nice to have.

Loved the "in run" updates. Helps me realise what pace I'm running at for optimum improvement to push myself!

I just want to choose my method of transport, click " go", and be able to see my time and distance, plus a map of where i went. Little red line superimposed over satellite picture...ive seen this, but i can't find the feature on this app. It's too complicated to use and has too many features in the way of seeing what i want. I DON'T WANT TO SAVE, SHARE, BE COACHED OR ENCOURAGED. I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO A GROUP. I just want to quickly and easily see how far, time, and little map. Can i do that?

At first it was great. After some time it started acting up. Sometimes it works immediately, other times half way through my run it starts. Just the other day it didn't track any of my 2 hr. run , told me the time that was it. Played tennis it worked great. Rode my bike it worked great. Only when I walk or run does it NOT WORK CORRECTLY!!!! Nothing I do in settings corrects it. Looking for a new app now.

Me and my son run daily and we both have this app. But over half the time our mileage is off.. the longer we run the more it is off.. it also would be nice for both of us to run and only have to use 1 phone and count for both of us. Mayb like have me bring my phone and be able to tag him , so it will also count on his map my run.

Love that I can time my runs and see my routes. I give it a 4 bc you can't make/plan routes out on the app like you can online.

I wish the app had the ability to lookup routes in other locations, not just "nearby." Also, I wish there was a way to filter out walking and cycling routes to be able to exclusively see running routes. I run 3-4 times a week and exclusively use this app to track my progress, but when I look at routes nearby, none of mine even show up. All that shows are a bunch of walking/cycling routes, most of which are super old (~2013). Definitely a lot of room for improvement in this department.

Took away the most needed functionality of how and why i use the app: i like to test out paths before i run it to see how long the route is. I HATE it only gives you preloaded suggestions. Does underarmor think we are too stupid to make our own routes from the phone app? If you can do it, theyve made it so tough to figure it out i gave up after 15 minutes. Its like they dont trust our ability as runners to choose our own routes

Pretty Bad. Auto pause is way too active, pausing and resuming while I am hiking. It also prompts me each time it does this with voice, in both constant pause and resume notifications. Turning voice off does nothing. This results in an unbearable music / audiobook experience if using this feature. Needs to be fixed!

Overall good app for tracking runs/walks but sometimes glitches and doesn't save the run or stops tracking mid-workout.

It is very helpful. It tells you want you need to do to improve for your next run.

Been using it for well over a decade and I wouldn't use anything else to track my workouts.

I've paired my HOVRs with this app, so I can only speak for the MVP (paid) version which you get at no extra cost when you pair. It's the best app I've used for running. GPS tracking is on point, the training program I have is just for my power level, info from the "trainer" voice is customizable and you can also log gym workouts. 5/5 no doubt because it has singlehandedly made me a better runner.

Great app. Just wish it would save a mile by mile time break down and not just the overall average stats

Best app for tracking runs and it's easy to use. I've even used it in other countries!

Horrible. Can't share routes and use them. This app seems old and clunky. Advertising is extremely intrusive. Tried to use it for a corporate event and it caused nothing but headaches. Seriously, do better, this is unacceptable.

I love using this app, love seeing how far I've run (walked), love seeing the calories burned and I like seeing my split pace. Seeing all of this makes me more determined to improve how I did last time. There are many more aspects of the app I love too, but don't take my word, give it a try yourself, you won't regret it!

Great app except GPS issue. It may be the phone issue. I am having note 10 plus

Either I'm getting old or the timer is off...I'm getting old. Love this app!

9/30/2019. I love this app, but they keep messing with it and ruining simple things. After a run, I immediately hit the red pause button to save my time. However, the clock won't stop until AFTER mapmyrun rambles off my splits, time of day, total mileage etc. I lose on average over 8 seconds as I fumble to unlock my phone and stop it myself after a grueling run. I then have to go back and manually edit the run times for each run. I have enough to worry about tired after runs.

I've been using Map My Run off and on thru out the years and I keep coming back to it after the next new running app disappoints me. Map My Run is a good app for tracking your runs. The people in the Community are great and supportive no matter what your skill level or experience is.

Keeps reverting to miles, even though set to km. Random American voice when previously English.

I like this app I like the info it gives me. I also like that it tells when I have gone a mile.

Works a treat for me, particularly hearing the Kilometre stats that keep me on pace.

Syncing with fitbit very spotty, and the app navigation can be better, but otherwise good app for tracking

Was better before when calculated in 1km increments... now in 1.62 km increments. Seems ?American miles. Can't seem to change it

After 336 workouts with MapMyRun since 2012 I'm uninstalling it and switching to Strava. Last week the thing only saw two of the ten miles I ran (56 minutes per mile!) so the bugs have become intolerable. No one there ever fixes anything, no one tests anything before it ships (the app was once unusable for two weeks!) and certainly no one there uses the app. I was even paying them five bucks a month for MVP but they never responded to my emails.

I have run over 100 marathons and ultras with this app. I use it several times a week. I love it. It works great. I highly recommend it to my friends and other hard core runners. It is off by only 4% on my Samsung Galaxy S8+. When I run 100 milers it says I ran 104 miles.

Not sure on the accuracy of mileage on app, ran this app along with my fitness band app and got very different results.

This app was brilliant, until I realised all my routes and times were being posted publicly so anyone in my area could see. People (whose accounts didnt look like real genuine runners) started messaging me asking to run together. I freaked out because I always start and end at my house- and run at similar times every day- so it wouldnt be hard for the wrong person to find me. I changed my setting to 'private' and now the app wont work. Maybe make the 'running buddy' idea separate and optional?

If you own a Huawei, make sure to disable battery saving for this app. Otherwise it may kill the apps access to GPS mid activity leaving a gap in your track. The app really should suggest disabling battery saver like some other apps do when starting first time on a Huawei phone.

Several issues: if the app is loading and you accidentally hit another app, everything gets erased and it's happening frequently. I don't use UA shoes anymore but that's one of the only ways the app works decent. If you lose service (when I wore UA shoes) the GPS in the shoe doesn't continue to track it. I'm sure there are better apps out there.

I like this app a lot - it connects with MyFitnessPal which is awesome. I have one bug report: I do my runs in kilometers and until about a month ago it gave me feedback at each kilometer interval. Now it gives me feedback at mile intervals even though my settings have not changed. The feedback is in kilometers and is correct but it's occurring at 1.61km, and 3.22km and so on, which corresponds to miles.

I have used this app for yrs. Recently it was problematic: freezing up and pausing and restarting itself for Mike's. I had to uninstall and reinstall several times. It would be great if the free version gave a running total of miles.

Great app...great for running...I love the automatic updates it gives you as you workout

Tracking has been slightly inaccurate lately. However, today the app failed to track at least 1.5 miles of my 4.7 mile run. Since I know this route well I was still able to keep track for myself but this would be useless on a new route!

Perfect app for tracking or creating runs, hikes and walks.

been having issues lately with the app. I try to track every 10th of a mile, but it will start with a 10th and then it will say .21 miles and then the next time it says .36. I have a goal and it's frustrating that it does this. The calorie tracking is a bit crazy too. 1 minute I've burned 100 and the next I've burned 92. I do like that I at least know how far I've gone!

After running on a track, this app does not track accurately. In fact the further I run, the worse it gets. I still use it, but may look around for something more reliable. Not sure how accurate it tracks my runs, but I haven't really compared it to other apps simultaneously. For now, I'm satisfied. Doesn't work as well on my Galaxy watch.

Great for outdoor running, doesn't come close to what the treadmill says, you should be able to plug in your speed(12/18) Sep 26, 19 App isn't tracking distance on runs, has me running through yards and magically disappearing for entire blocks if I run, much more accurate for walks.

The first few months was great especially with my Bluetooth sneakers. Since this new update though it's been a nightmare.. freezes all the time.. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the app but still the same issue.. the app refuses to go over 3 miles.... As soon as it gets past the 3rd mile it resets all data except the duration of the workout.. please fix this asap.. connecting sneakers is great... The app crashing after a 3rd mile isn't.

Great app! 15$ for all the features is a huge ask though.

Having same thing happen as another review. My settings are in km but the app gives updates in mile equivalent.

First time user and so far so good. I'm not a runner at heart yet but have been challenged by a friend to run with her. I'm using the couch to 5k app but distance counter stops when timer stops. This helps me track total distance if I'm not back to start point when time stops. I will be able to use this app on bike rides as well.

Doesn't always work. Loses mileage somewhere. Nice to have something that works with Relive

Liked it at first but challenges are few and far between now !
