UPDATE: Just downloaded again. Lock screen widget still not working. Original review Nov 2020 - Used to be good enough for my purposes of simply tracking distance. Now my workouts won't save, and even if I say discard workout it keeps jumping back to the save screen. Unrelated- the lock screen widget hasn't worked in at least 6 months. It shows on the screen but doesn't actually do anything when I got pause.

Its a cool app and will help you get trim in no time. I really like all the data and images of the treck or run you take. Loads of data. I feel important lol. I like the occasional audio summaries of the journey so far. You can carry on listening to your playlist that way with these short data updates

  3. Jason Brockert-avatar

    Jason Brockert

Overall this app works really well! It's one of the few free apps that will connect with a wide variety of Bluetooth HR monitors, and it integrates nicely with Myfitnesspal. The free options are limited, but work well. If the premium were a single purchase rather than a recurring subscription, I'd probably buy it.

  4. Orlow Kent Nygren-avatar

    Orlow Kent Nygren

The mapper and all works great. Have used it for years...😀 It great for plotting new routes and tracking improvements on old ones. One great feature is being able to create routes on the computer and transferring them to one's phone.

  5. Stacey Jahn-avatar

    Stacey Jahn

App is quite accurate, and the stats are helpful. The only thing that would make it perfect is of you could map out a run with it, instead of guessing if you made your full miles or if you'll be running extra in order to make it home.

  6. Elaine Erson-avatar

    Elaine Erson

I use the free version and everyone once in awhile it won't let me on. It wants me to upgrade to the pay for plan. Then I have to uninstall and install again and usually it goes back to working. When it works, it seems fairly accurate.

  7. Josh Claywell-avatar

    Josh Claywell

Ever since the last update, the app gives stats for the previous workout -- not the one just finished. I'll do a set of push-ups and then track my steps. After I'm done walking, the stats shown will be for the push-ups and not the walk.

  8. Paula Renfro-avatar

    Paula Renfro

Accurate and consistent. Easy to use. Occasionally, the app seems to hang when I try to open it. Not sure what causes the problem, but restarting my phone send to fix it.

  9. Rob Turney-avatar

    Rob Turney

Love being able to know exactly how many calories I get to put back in! Great app, fun to compare times on regular a bit of competitiveness to even the mundane weekly ride.

  10. Susan Melograna-avatar

Love this app for running & biking to track milage, cadence, mph. Huge help, love that it speaks to you at each mile to help you track without looking. GPS feature is great to track course.

  11. Laura Cameron-avatar

    Laura Cameron

In GOALS section, PAUSED time is included in "work out for 3:30:00 per week". This makes the goal say too much time.. i have to add it up manually, it needs to be fixed.

  12. Myra Bayly-avatar

    Myra Bayly

Love using this app. It tells me at intervals how far I have walked the time and also the split pace. This makes me stay focused on the time which I am always wanting to beat 🙂

App works great with my connected sonic 3 shoes. Coaching is helpful and provides decent information all in all. Do miss endomondo but this app does most everything it could do so no major complaints

I have used MmWalk and MmRide for a while, and wished I could have one app for multiple workout types --and here it is! Plus, it also covers my yoga and calisthenics work; yay! I'm a happy girl.

  16. The Magic Beans-avatar

    The Magic Beans

Already better than Runkeeper. Runkeeper makes you pay ten dollars a month just for you to be able to log workouts. Mapmyfitness is the best so far.

  17. Teresa DeCarbo-avatar

I have been using this app for years and I have had hardly any problems. I just wish it work with Fitbit. ☺️

  18. Dawn Powell-avatar

So far so good. Wish I could connect with the Map my fitness community. I don't use Facebook and would like to be able to connect with like minded people on the app.

It is a good app for us to use so it can tracks us walking 2 days a week at least to 7 days a week if you want to do that

  21. Eivind Aaberge-avatar

(March 2021, here's why I will not continue my premium subscription after the expiration of the Free 3 Months Plan :) MapMy Fitness is the best fitness app only in one respect, it tops the list of most activites with amazing 600 activity types. It has however, since my original review-version of 2020.12.19, added a [(pretty good)] stats, but the stats has a long way to go to be so good as Endomondo was. (update 2021.03.19: The stats are incorrect and not to be trusted. Nor has there been any improvement in any of what I have described here). These [(good)] features however doesn’t help me much to satisfy my needs. For cardio workouts there are only a few of them you can use in proper ways. And for us cardio atlethes who love also to do wintersports and to socialize and to make own challenges and goals with own choices of time-periods, there are no way to do that. You can’t even add more than one photo to the workout. Wintersports are synced from your HR/GPS-watch, but are transformed to generic! Goals can only be made for Run, Ride and Walk and only for one week. Tracks cannot be exported as gpx-files. The tcx-file you can export, cannot be imported by map-apps. They say that Livetrack only can be made in your vicinity when using the app? I also miss very much the excellent history features you had in Endomondo, which cannot be found in any other cardio sports-apps on the market today. The support gives you only general references and do not answer specifically to your questions, and when I specify more distinct, they still minimize the answer, do answer only a few of my questions and emphazise again their big amount of exercises. I am very sorry that they gives up Endomondo, which had all of the above mentioned. Fortunately does Strava also have most of this features, and many other useful option that MapMy do not have, i.e. many segment-features.

  22. Nicholas D. Thayer-avatar

    Nicholas D. Thayer

Used to love this app, but the last couple of months have been hit or miss on whether the GPS tracking works. It seems like every other update breaks it, then it takes weeks before the next update fixes the issue. No point in using the app if it can't track your distance. I can just use the Fitbit app instead (which always works for GPS tracking).

  23. Brendon Walker-avatar

    Brendon Walker

Sadly not a patch on Endomondo.. Interface not as intuitive as it could be, but the most frustrating thing is that when I set my challenge to fifty miles a week I expect it to log Monday to Sunday.. Frequently adds Sundays walk in to the following week.. This week its added Saturday and Sundays walks in, so it appears that I'm way further into my challenge this week than I am.. Think I'll be looking elsewhere for a reliable tracker.

  24. J.D. Sandifer-avatar

I only used this to track workouts and sync then with Wellable, but those features worked great!

  25. Stephanie Vickery-avatar

App is easy to use, works excellent, even along the indiana dunes trails. Uses very little battery.

  26. J Balaris-avatar

    J Balaris

This app use to be great, but now that the location permissions only allow setting where the GPS works when the screen is up and on its 3 star worthy. When BevMo has an app that allows location all the time, but an app dedicated to movement doesn't, that's not a good user experience.

  27. Debra Gilbert-avatar

    Debra Gilbert

Great app! I use it often and I love the maps that track my routes.

  28. Sylvester Gordon-avatar

I like the features on the app. I like how you can compete in challenges. I like the app telling me what mile I finished.

  29. Anne Weber-avatar

I have been using this App for some time and until recently it has been great. What has happened or changed now makes the App crash and you have to login again. About ready to dump it since it changed owners.

  32. Terri Boehm-avatar

Been using this app since July 2014 to record all my various fitness activities. Still love it. Tracks the route, miles, time, pace, calories. Used to print out the calendar version readout from my computer every month. Have recommended it to many friends and family who also use it now. Really great!

  33. Dean Cheetham RetroDeano Ninja Warrior-avatar

    Dean Cheetham RetroDeano Ninja Warrior

Fantastic app, excellent way to keep me and the kids running. This phone doesn't have an Internet connection while we're running, the phone GPS does a great job of tracking our run, Pace (max & average), estimated Calories, Distance and some more advance breakdowns once we're back within WiFi range. Highly recommended for anyone new to running like ourselves.

  34. Heather Wright-avatar

    Heather Wright

This app is not good if you forget to save your workout. Endamondo was so much better as when you finished your workout it automatically saved it. Also not the easiest of apps to use when trying to find out the correct workout option! Again endamondo was so much better and easy to use. Also doesn't sync with my smart watch not enough options for all the new devices.

  35. Matthew Eichler-avatar

    Matthew Eichler

I was one of the users forced off of Endomondo at the end of it's life and had to switch to this one by Under Armor. I don't get it. This one doesn't seem to calculate Calories correctly (even with a Heart Meter) which it seems to understimate always. Also, I miss the monthly and yearly ststistics I got from the Endomondo desktop.

I loved this app i use map my walk and map my ride. But i have to priodically uninstall and reinstall and this time it wont allow me to log in on fb. Did the same with map my walk. No probs. Ive been logging i through mapmy walm but would rather here cant log the problem any other way

  38. Robert Miller-avatar

    Robert Miller

Good app for keeping a record of walks. Does not keep shoe use and although it awards achievements, it doesn't show them. Also use Garmin Connect and though both use GPS, in a 4 mile or so distance they will differ in distance by .2 or .3 miles.

  39. Nicole-avatar

I love this app, so convenient and easy to use. I do camp gladiator and it's already programmed into the app and it connected easily to my polar heart rate strap.

  40. Lavern Sampson-avatar

  41. Misty Alexander-avatar

I have used this app for years. I run, workout at the gym, walk, and hike. It has never given me issues but I wish I could set it to notify me every half or even quarter mile.

  42. Amanda Farnsworth-avatar

    Amanda Farnsworth

It tracks your distance fairly well. Sometimes it gets lost, sometimes it tracks poorly. Overall, it works pretty well and saves your routes which is nice. It also synchs well with the other myfitnesspal app.

  43. Lilly Marsh-avatar

    Lilly Marsh

Easy to use and seems reliable; pairs well with my fitness food diary

  44. diane adinehzadeh-avatar

    diane adinehzadeh

Great app that syncs with their other apps to give an overall view of healthy eating habits and exercise. Easy to log easy to use. My only critique is wishing they had a better winter sports app for more accurate recording as I like to do snowboarding and cross-country hiking with snow rackets.

  45. Jānis Bebrītis-avatar

    Jānis Bebrītis

Supports wide range of sport activities, that's really nice. Bugs me with training suggestions, just a bit too much. Inconsistent app and browser, hard to navigate. Friend request notificationsdo not show up. Also, wth is "Admob offline notifications" channel?

  46. Robert Nekic-avatar

    Robert Nekic

Woah, you finally fixed the Android dark theme bug. Thank you. Now if you could just change how the Top workout Types list works: when I select a workout type, why does it default to Top types instead of a list of types I've used before? I constantly have to dig Rowing Machine out of the messed up All Types list.

  47. John Morrison-avatar

    John Morrison

Good runners and cyclists in real time. Easy to pause en route

  48. Noviloh-avatar

The app won't let me log in or do anything even if I have internet connection.

  49. LatashaTrueHeart-avatar

I signed up for two challenges last night to start today, but I can't find them. I've downloaded MM Fitness AND MM Run. Nowhere in the main menu do I see Challenges or Improve. It's weird that I could sign up but not access the very reasons I have these apps. | UPDATE: Wrote the review; a new menu appeared. Like magic. I checked everything three times before. Four options became five. Now I have challenges. 🤔 Now, will they work? 🧐

  54. Sandy E-avatar

Loved the app, but had to go from 5 stars to 2. GPS isn't tracking milage correctly. Walking/jogging in neighborhood what used to be about 2 miles is not < .2 miles.

  58. Andrew Chackan-avatar

If I could give this a zero star I would. Information never transfers over to my fitness pal. Whoever came up with the update needs not only to be fired but have their desk cleared off and escorted out of under armor.

Uhh. This app appears to just be Map My Run. When I log into my existing account there is no ability to track actual workouts, reps and other gym activities. Kinda dumb. UA what is going on?

  63. Rob Scott-avatar

    Rob Scott

Preferred Endomondo. The statistics and general user interface were far superior in endomondo. As UnderArmour own the IP of endomondo I don't understand why they haven't integrated this into MMF?
