Chapter 5 of book 3 is now available. The third book can be accessed at the end of book 2.

Disclaimer: The game is only available in English.

Magium is a text adventure game similar to old Choose your own story books (CYOA), in which you play as an ordinary guy named Barry, who joins a deadly mage tournament against the most powerful mages in the world in the hopes of using the prize to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a mage himself.

As in all interactive novels, your choices will affect the story, and making wrong choices can even lead to your death. Besides the traditional choice making of regular Choose your own path games, Magium also has stats that you can upgrade with points that you will receive occasionally, throughout the game. These stats will be checked by the game from time to time, to see if they are high enough to allow you to perform certain actions. For example, if your ancient languages stat is high enough, you can understand what animals and monsters are saying.

The story of Magium starts at the beginning of the tournament, right after you and all the other participants were transported to the continent where the contest was taking place, and it is set in a medieval fantasy setting, with a dash of futuristic looking magical devices, which are relics of an ancient, technologically advanced civilization that crumbled hundreds of years before the beginning of the series. The world in which the story takes place is somewhat inspired from Dungeons and Dragons, so if you've played D&D before, you will likely find some similarities, especially regarding the magic system.

As the story progresses, you will meet with other participants, you will make friends and enemies, and you will find out more about the continent you are on, and its inhabitants. You will find out that a person called "The Creator" had established several utopias in this place, six hundred years ago, where animals and humans lived in harmony, and food was created through magic. What you will get to see, however, is the downfall of these utopias, some of them being on the brink of destruction. Your choices will influence what happens in these cities, and you can even choose to save them if you so desire.

The game will be divided into six or seven books, each of them consisting of more than a hundred thousand words.

The first book is now available in its entirety, and it can be played for free. It is approximately 178k words long, which translates to about 700 book pages. This number also takes into account the story's branching paths. The length of a playthrough on average should be about 90k words, so about 350 book pages.

The second book is now available in its entirety, but the next books have not been written yet, and they will be published chapter by chapter, as I write them. Unlike the first book, the second one will need to be unlocked before it can be played, and it will be the same for the next books as well. In order to unlock the second book, you will either need to complete 25 of the 35 available achievements, or pay to unlock it. All of the next books will also be unlockable in the same way.

The second book is 277k words in total, on all paths, which translates to about 1100 book pages. On one path, you should be seeing around half of those words, so roughly 140k, which would translate to 550 book pages or so.

Reviews From google play store

I have a liking to this particular text game because of how well the story is thought out and planned. Its almost like a well known writer couldn't top this in some ways. The characters (yes even Arraka) are all enjoyable to talk and converse with. The plot line varies in ways that make your choices matter, but at the same time it still gets you back to some point in one way or another, which is good game design and very solid programming. With all that said, the achievements are redundant. 4.5R

I first rated this game with five stars, because it's a lot of fun, but I'm reducing it to three for two reasons: 1. The author changes tenses all the time--sometimes multiple times within the same paragraph--and it drives me absolutely nuts. 2. After you finish the first book, you find out that you have to have 25 "Achievements" before you can move on to the second book. I don't want to go back and replay the first book to get more "Achievements," so I guess I'm finished with the game.

I have 2 complaints; I find it annoying that there are only checkpoints at the beginning of each chapter, considering how many events there can be,and and maybe you can add an option to go to a specific chapter, because I have pressed the wrong button and then gone to the next chapter on accident. How in Arraka is this so incredible! The best book I have read by far. 6 out of 5.

The concept is absolutely fantastic. It's probably not the first of its kind, but it's the first I've experienced, and I adore the kind of game that relies on your choices for the direction of the story. The story is ridiculously enjoyable, with moments of hilarity, seriousness, awe, drama, and even horror. Being a fanatic of stories in general, I would not hesitate to recommend this to people who enjoy books and/or RPGs.

Even though I am rating 5 stars, I am hoping the app developer will hire an artist to illustrate some of the story. And what an incredible story it is! I'm not asking for anything like what the "Sorcery!" series has achieved, but this game has achieved a comparable level of storytelling that deserves to be taken to the next level with some artwork! Even without it, I would still play a sequel were the developer to create one. Very, very good and enthralling game! Great job!

Good game, the story is interesting. The character's design and personality is impresive. Love the joke. But too bad i cant enjoy the romance too much. I try to make relationship with Kate, avoid romance with another women, but still no luck with her.

A truly amazing game. Props to the developers for making such an interesting and addicting game. The story telling alone is sure to have you hooked for hours, I've personally been playing for 4 hours now and I'm eager to continue.

Splendid! This game is full of suprises and options for me, and every single choice matters that affect later events. Full of replay value, thus become one of my favorite game so far along with Soccery series. Good job!

This game is amazing if you love text based adventures where your choices matter. Each book costs money, but its well worth the price. I absolutely love it and can't wait for Chapter 6 of book 3.

I just recently started rereading the books and I am genuinly amazed how much different they've become. No gamebreaking thing was added or removed, but just a few words here and there really made it better. Hats off to the writer!

Great story going and story telling also at the same time you dont know what to choice but i always go back to the save and load game haha really good game. Keep up the great work hope you keep making more choice games like magium

I found the stories and the various arcs very well written. Hell, I'd recommend putting this out in an actual paper-based book, after a bit more polishing on the writing, which, although great, feels a bit rough on the edges at times(not that it affected my experience much). I give you my personal guarantee, that I'd buy that book if it does indeed ever come out, assuming I can afford it. Can't wait for book 3 chapter 5. Keep up the good work! Got a long-term fan here.

Absolutely enthralling story. A few odd grammar choices, but very well written. I am interested to see how different choices play out in other playthroughs.

Great, emmersive story with a fun cast of characters. This has become one of my fav text based games. Really looking foreward to where the story goes next.

Story is addictive, feels like your Stat and story choices really make a difference. Towards book three though feels like the choices are dwindling though the story is just as engaging.

Absolutely fantastic read, I'm on chapter 7 of the first book, and I'm completely hooked! I have been struggling for the past few months to find something worthy to read, and found this to be quite humorous and well-written! Thank you for the many and startlingly awkward outbursts of laughter I've had while reading quietly at my local library. Please keep writing, and thanks again!

This game is great for me so far it differs from text based rpgs and im really digging it, the story is.great and i look foward to other games like this if any are to come.

This game is surprisingly amazing, I'm actually really enjoying the story and I love the choices I get to make, I hope you keep up the good work and continue to make more games like this

Simple text driven game with very good story telling. Some of your choices feel minor, some can branch the plot line. The mix of your skill distribution and choices you take determine a lot. You never really know what's coming, and some predetermined long ago by your skills and choices. Everything you want from a text rpg. The game is free for the first book, for the second book you need to pay or unlock 25 achievements (something im sure not too easy).

I really like this kind of games, and this one is by far the best I've played. The story is well written and easy to understand for people that are not native english speaker and I like the fact that we can invest points in stats that suits your playstyle and progress choosing the options that goes towards the stats you're building. If you like these kind of games, you really should download and try this one!

This is one of, if not THE best app I have downloaded. The books are high quality. I forgot to save the cloud when on tablet, but I dont care as I now get to read it on my phone all over again. :) So thank you developers, and keep up the good work. I only wish I was as good at this as you are, so I could help get the rest of this brilliance out to the world.

ive been reading this game for monthes and am now on the second book. the only thing im finding wrong with it is that the writer gives us chapters slower than i read. i love it and can't wait for the next chapter.....great job!!! keep up the good work. I love the characters and i need to know what happens next for them and how they are going to get themselves out of this mess they are in.. Im a big fan of yours now for life... Your rigjt up there with stephen king, in my opinion thank you . R.B.

It's a great game, it's much more complex than I had thought it would be, so it's pretty fun. Takes the better half of an hour to be able to predict the right choices though.

I love it! It's such a simple thing yet it amazes me on the writing and the ways we can play. I enjoy every character (Except the bad guys) in this game though I wish we had pictures but that's fine! I kinda want to make my own choose your own because of this but I don't know how. Anyway! I hope you keep updating

What can i say but it's very immersive and impressive, I've recently reinstalled this and it still amazing and will leave you wanting for more chapters.

I don't normally leave reviews for things but this is an exception. For any of those looking to get this game/story, do it. Magium is beautifully written with many characters to meet and get attached to. Not to mention the variety of different ways to play as you go along, easilt the best CYOA story I've ever read

Really engaging! I just want to add that I am a bit surprised by one of the characters, Kate. There is a moment the hero can express his feeling towards her and it sort of stays as 'friends'? Don't get that. And the theme doesn't come back to that at all in the rest of book 1, at least... Curious. Had to uninstall the game though. Was taking too much time! ;)

It's pretty great so far, very entertaining, good story, and one fun moment I didn't expect with the stats screen.

Good game, better story, Lot's of paths Story is good and mostly simple: you are barry and wanna be a wizard by winning the tournament full of top of the shelve wizzards. Romance a little (no actual depictions, its not a romance novel) and give weirs opening sentences to which they will counter perfectly Some characters may feel a bit out of touch of this world and the story follows that exactly, don't uninstall just because the story seems unbalenced in the beginning. Overall a 9/10 game

This is hands down the best rpg game in the playstore! The story is amazing, characters are interesting and the developer doesn't force you to buy the next part of the book (you can just take some time to complete the 25 objectives goal for the next book), although that won't stop me from supporting this game by buying some books whenever I can, to help support such a great game/book. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to for the third part to finish so I can buy and play through that.

So I got so addicted to the game that I finished till book 3 ch4 in less than 5 days!!!! Just waiting for the next ch to release.... I know it takes a lot of time and effort to make different story lines and to code in choices etc. But I just can't wait. And there is no better CYOA text Rpg over the internet. Believe me I searched everywhere.

It's fun! Wish there were a little more choices. The story is a good bread and butter fantasy, won't dissapoint!

Amazing! This is the best so far. I got like 4 of my friends to download and all we doing is ranting and raving about Magium. Great work guys! I love it!

Edit: while this game is great, it takes far too long for the chapters to come out. I've already moved on to something else Fantastic choose your own adventure story with great replayability. Your choices do matter and affect the story line unlike other types of stories. The writer truly does a great job of bringing you into the world. Definitely check this one out.

I downloaded this...a week ago?, and i must admit I became instantly obsessed and found it impossible to put down after I started reading (which would last for hours on end) to find different outcomes for the same thing. All in all the characters in this are so unique and interesting in their own way and so much emotion has been put into every word which is not an easy task to do, the plot is AMAZING and i never want it to end 💛💛💛, also getting 25 achievements is easy, if your stuck go online.

One of the best stories I have read in a long time. I really like the save feature, as well as the stats option. Most other games choose your stats based on your choices, this lets you base your choices off of your stats. Any minor choices that you make in game seems to have no consequence, until 5 chapters later, that small little detail is brought back up again and ruins your life... absolutely love it.

In about 4-5 days I managed to unlock book 3 through achievements and I have to say that this is one of the best choose your own story novel games that I've played so far, and the best thing is that you don't have to pay to proceed, you can just replay it and get achievements which hardly takes a day, to unlock the next book, and the storyline is also very interesting to read. I would've supported the developers by paying but for the time being, I'm waiting for the rest of the chapters of book 3

Its awesome! The story is so long, so there's no worry about finishing the game in 4 hours. And throughout all of it, there's always something to enjoy. At the moment of writing this, i've spent about 10 hours on it, and i'm halfway through the second book! Its a really nice game with an amazing story and an amazing cast of characters.

Damn, don't stop writing. The character development, dry humour, and sheer sense of fun is fantastic. Just three points: 1. The app drains my phone's battery a little faster than it should. 2. If i switch to a different app and then back, sometimes scrolling and buttons stop working until i kill the app and restart it. 3. Get a proofreader. Your writing style is great, but you need a second pair of eyes to spot things like mixing up of tenses, "any more" is two words, etc. Love it.

Wonderful! I usually hate these kinds of games, because of their stat counters and luck they have, but somehow... this game just has that magic touch (pun intended) that pulls it all together. I'm still only on chapter 9, book 1, but it has as much compelling story as a novel! Unsurprising, since it is one on Amazon. But fitting it into a game? Even the ol' text adventure novel style? Absolutely great! Recommended for anyone who enjoys The Elder Scrolls, or the Phoenix Wright games; text only.

It was amazing. I may only be on the second book but the character development is amazing. If you enjoy skyrim this is definitely a book for you. Your character travel's many miles from the beginning of the tournament and meets many new friends and enemies that far exceed your level of experience. As I said before the character development in the books is awesome. You can see how the main character and your friends move up from the beginning to the end

Well i have nothing else to say, this is one of the greatest text adventure i have played. Well done to the devs! I hoep you create more games like this with the same world this!

I've made many changes to this review and I'm just gonna leave this one as it is. The game is absolutely amazing with the characters and their personalities, backstories, development, etc. The choices mostly change dialogue over anything...mostly. I'm at book 2 chapter 7 (getting very close to chapter 8) and I'm loving every word of this. I don't have much of an interest in reading but this makes me want to keep reading it seeing every possibility. Keep up the great work developer (s)!

This is an amazing book. I've never had a lot of interest in books or reading and ive always struggled in that area, but i just cant put this book down. It's so detailed and has everything i love: monsters, magic, and a strong story. There are so many side quests and the story is so complex. Devs, im a huge fan. Keep it up. This is awesome!

The game is awesome but damn, the critics are making it really hard for the developer XD Cmon, the game's awesome. You think it could've been represented in a better way but it is supposed to be easy to understand. It's not a novel. It's a text rpg. This task is easier said than done! Even coming this far takes lots of efforts! This game is one of the best games i've ever played. If you think I've not played any good games for me to be saying that, suggest me a better game with lesser flaws.

No way... To think that I'm sacrificing sleep hours for this!!! It's impossibly addictive! The writing, the story, the characters, everything is amazing and my imagination goes wild everytime I read this. Beware, wrong choices may be punishing as hell. I repeated the whole game just to keep everyone alive 10/10, I'm buying the third book and the next ones as well to support the game. If you read this dev, you are the best!.

Absolutly amazing! Story line sucks you in like you were actually Barry! So much fun. I am 37 years old. This game wants me to dig up my old DnD books and start a group! I am truely a life long fan, and cant wait to see what more work you put out. Thank you so much for such a masterpeice!

It is a perfect culmination of storytelling and combat. I got to the end of book 2 and the current chapters for book 3, and I still love it. The tension is perfect, and gets better. I feel that having to complete the achievements is a smart way to engage the reader in different scenarios beyond the scope that they originally intended. The attention to detail throughout is awesome and the writer is a pure genius, from what paths I have taken along to story(there are more than quite a few paths).

Spectacular choose-your-own-adventure style book. Well written; I think I've only seen a few spelling or grammatical errors which is amazing given the amount of content availilable. As the story progresses you literally make life or death decisions. Which is why it is particularly handy to have multiple save slots. There is always a way to move forward, regardless of previous choices or stat point allocation. My only real complaint is how long I have to wait for new chapters!

I absolutely love the story, first things first. I was an avid reader through school, and this is taking me right back to that. I'll lay in bed, pull out my phone and start reading, and suddenly two hours have passed. I've finished all the Lifeline games - multiple times - and just recently stumbled upon this and decided to give it a try. It has since sucked me in, and I just finished book one in a couple days. Bought book two (you deserve the $3), and will be starting it momentarily!

Not bad. But I do have a few complaints if I'm comparing it with other COA games. There wasn't quite enough opportunities to make a choice. Sometimes I forgot I was even playing something and felt like I was just simply reading a book. Also out of the times I do make choices, there's not enough times where stats make a difference.

This is, hands down, the best role playing "choose your own path" story I've ever read. Bought the 3 books on the app and I keep re-reading them from time to time as new chapters get released! If you're into this genre, I recommend it 110%! As a side note for the developers, a pc game from this universe (hell, or even the exact same storie) would be the best thing ever 10/10

I have always enjoyed CYOA books and decision altering games and this kind of combines the two i really like where this is going cant wait for the rest. I especially like the fact you added an option to use achievments to unlock further books for those who may not be able to afford to pay.

Wow, I've played a lot of CYOA games, and I mean a LOT, yet I always come back to reread this one. This really is one of my all time favorites. I just wish Melindra had more interactions with Barry, she seems to be fading into the background with the latest chapters.

Wonderful choose your own adventure story. Play through multiple times to get every ending.

All I can say is: Amazing. Every character, every choice, every event was engaging to me. Character development truely outlined and answered the questions of why they act the way they did. The background of this wonderful amazing fantasy world is solid, with a reason and answer to almost every question I had at the beginning of the book. The achivement system made me enjoy playing the game all over, some may think it is repetitive, but CYOAs were made to be done like this so you can see it all.

loving it ... and staying up far too late playing it :-D ... A few days later I've got to the end of book 2 for the first time. I really like the 25 achievements to get the next book for free (you can pay instead) as going back and doing things differently was interesting both because of how I felt about the choosing options I didn't pick first time AND I got to see a lot more story content. Kudos to the author!

Absolutely amazing. The story is awesome and even the bad endings are amazing. They make you work and think and strategize. They make you think that every point counter you miss was the wrong choice when really there is no correct answer. I love this game and I'm going to start it over again just incase I can actually get the magiun.

This games is keeping me intrigued. Though I feel so far that the stats are a little unbalanced. Early on I tried different combos of strength, speed etc and they failed over and over (might be unlucky) but then I did perception, hearing etc and I passed everything and I'm at chapter 6 without coming close to failing just by maxing those stats. Though to be honest I can't image how they would be balanced differently. All in all a great experience.

I absolutely love this game, its branching story and insane amount of choices is amazing, nearly every choice actually affects gameplay, and its ability to save despite being a CYOA makes it so much less annoying if you screw up. If I could rate this 6/5 I would, the only thing I dont enjoy is the achievement farming before chapters, I'd rather watch an ad or two than have to pay but I understand where the dev is coming from. I very much hope that the developer makes more games in the future!

the idea here is genius and so far inam enjoying the story. thiugh as others have complained the writing is a little more on the young adult style but i can get past that. the user interface is very rudimentary and definitely needs some polishing. but overall i would highly recommend anyone who likes fantasy novels to give this a try.

Hands down one of the best text games ive played in my life (and I've played my fair share of them lol), the story is immersive and well structured that completely absorbs you into its world and characters; its honestly very well made and highly recommend it to anyone who likes text games (its very long which is extremely awesome compared to some other shallow text games) and enjoy every bit of it. kudos to the dev!

I have never rated a game before in my life. I never really like books and just found them boring. But when I saw this game, it reminded me of those books that u go to different pages depending on your choice of action. And I loved those books. And now I love this game. It felt nostalgic but overall fun to play and read. After I'm done with this game, I'm gonna go on a hunt for more :P

pretty good... whatever this is. The only continuos flaw I see is how awkward the writing feels. Maybe it's just the old medieval english, but it's just kind of unpolished. Certain words are used too much (particularly 'mage' and 'magic'), and some events are described as if the author is trying to put a scene from a movie in a book, which doesn't really work in my opinion. Other than that, great game/book/thing

Finished book 2 and to be honest it is awesom. I loved the story and chars. Putting different stats will lead to diferent options, which i had to try. Download and play. It took me couple of hours to pass book 1 first time. Couple more to do it the second and third time 😂 now i cant wait for the 3rd book to come out. Thank you for such a lovely game. 😁

This is the best CYOA game I have ever played the storyline is amazing and when you mess up you feel it, the devs have put alot of hard work into this and you can tell as you play that they intended on making a good game I highly recommend this to anyone interested.

Compared to other text adventure games I have played, this one takes the cake by far. I absolutely love the variety behind all of the choices and the unique plot. The backstory is rich and thought out and the amount of effort the developers have made to clear up any grammatical errors are well noticed. Overall, it's a really good way to pass the time and enjoy the taste of a different world. I'm very much looking forward to the new chapters and how the story will progress from this point fowards

This was much better than I was expecting, think of all the choose your own adventures books that were popular a long time ago and you have this but think of them being 5x better and a much more interesting story. Also having checkpoints and being able to save makes it so much easier when you fail since you dont have to start over.

Great game. Definate 5/5. Even though the writing can seem a little bit repetitive at times, the simplistic, and to the point writing style really fits for a cyoa book like this. Sometimes the menu options with saving data to the cloud or loading/saving saves can be confusing at times, but other than that, it's a great game.

The story is good especially the subtle philosophical topics presented in it. I also like how your choices on the first book affects what achievements you get on the third book. Although I think the story could have had a deeper delve on philosophical and existential conversations through a different approach of wording and narration but I guess it is to make the story easier to digest for other players. This game deserves 5 stars. P.S The releases are taking too loong. I want to finish it nooow

i got this game due to having low space on my phone and it turned out to be incredible! the use of the stat booster adds even more paths for the game to follow as well as the decisions you make. trying to be a pacifist right now... Daren is the kind of guy i would want to be around in a time like the one the game presents you with due to him being comical as well as honourable! great job on this game, looking forward to finishing it! :D

Amazing, absolutely amazing. You know how you uninstall almost every app withings a month or two after getting bored? l've have this app since installation for close to 6 months just waiting till all the chapters to release so I can play it at once, and the best part is I immediately unlocked the second book as soon as it was done..and you better believe I'm getting the hardcover edition as soon as it comes out

Honesty the absolute best CYOA game I have ever played. The characters seemed plain and 1-D at first but as you progress in the story, around the end of Book 2 they all come together and really develop. I love this soo much I just wish the books were released faster, Although I understand why they arent. Anyways thanks for the great game and amazing story... P.S.... Please allow us to unlock the magical stats soon maybe mid book 4 at least, but I get you have to make it come in later👍👍👍

Is there anything else better than this existing. But once while playing the game my mobile switched off and then all the save slots became empty. That was really annoying. I gave it 4stars on the basis of earlier experience but be bound to recede it if the developer don't help me. In case you want to know, I've synchronized it with Google Play Games.

The story is compelling. I would recommend this game just based on the story alone lol. I like that some of the choices we make actually has an impact other than death and the storyline somewhat changes accordingly. The thing that sets this game apart (aside from the compelling story) is probably the stats thing. I like that based on the stats we choose to focus on, the choices we make can be either right or wrong. Overall a good interesting game

Don't expect bells and whistles, instead expect a great adventure with easy to understand language but in a different world. This game revived my love for reading! Reminds me of anime. The save points aren't too punishing, the characters and loveable and more! I just wish fire a bit more romance but that is just taste. Good job Devs🙌🏽

One of the best text based adventure games out there. No ads, you don't have to even pay for books. I personally am working on becoming an author one day and from an author's viewpoint.. the story is really good, the characters and lore are very great. I can't wait to see what the other books have in store

Very good story. Best one I have found on my phone by far. Most of the bad reviews are that you have to reread the first book if you want the second one. That's not true. Most colplain about having to buy the second chapter without them noticing it. They are blind because it told you 3 times that the second chapter costs money and you can read the first one for free to try it out. If you have any doubt. Just download it. Try the first one, if you don't like it. Uninstall and if you like it Buy It

IM ENJOYING IT SO MUCH. I LOVE STORY BASED AND BUTTERFLY EFFECT GAMES. this is basicly a story script with choices made that will affect the story. The story differences vary a lot and requires you to actively follow and think each step, choosing your stats and words and actions. Ive always been a more into romantic story person but this action story got me addicted! which is rare. HIGHLY RECOMENDED. well paced story and character development

This has an excellent story that will encapsulate you for days. There are achievements that encourage you to try different paths and skillsets. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone! It's also great that the dev allows you to unlock each book simply by playing the game and unlocking achievements.

When comparing it to some similar games I feel like this one is a tad weaker, it has its own charm though. It also feels a bit more "railroady" than usual, but I assume it is because as opposed to playing ourselves we are playing Barry, and Barry can only do so many things. It is extremely fast in the achievement department though!

5 chapters in and truly enjoying the story. The only thing preventing a 5 star rating is the subtle lack of detailed descriptions during important moments of the story which would truly bring this experience to the next level. I commend the author highly, however, for his creativity and entertaining story.

Fantastic choose your own adventure. I haven't finished the first part yet but I'm enjoying myself none the less. You will die but you can always start from essentially a save point near where you made your fatal mistake.

I simply adore this cyoa game because it has an amazing story and also gives you options that actually affect the story a lot. One thing I did notice was that compared to the first book the second and third have less moments where you have a choice and you're more or less just reading a story.

Very enjoyable, Would be good to make upgrading to next book a bit clearer (It takes a while for it to check purchases, this stalls on my phone with no log of what it is doing or if it is still working/processing or just crashed.- But found I could purchase at end of the chapter) loving the story so far! well done!

OMFG THIS GAME IS SO AWESOME!!! The storyline is amazing and gripping, the characters are, in certain ways, relatable. The gameplay is really cool and I cannot wait for the next chapter. Highly recommend this for people who love cyoa games. WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE FOR THIS GAME!!!

Omg, how is this thing free? (jk, the sequels are purchasable BUT are available for free if you complete all the achievements). That said, this adventure is very immersive. The banter is entertaining, and your actions and the way you attribute stats DO matter significantly. 3 ways you can play this - I went down the support path and though I may not have passed all the Stat checks so far, I could reload a save slot if I deemed it necessary (which is more often than I'd like to admit). Excellent!

Absolutely amazing. I was enthralled every step of the way, my only problem is every once in a while there is an info dump that may not be very realistic, but even then the story and options are so good that theh more than make up for it. Looking forward to more chapters of book 3!

Surprised. I didn't expect to find anything decent like this on the store. I don't even like the genre, and it still managed to captivate me! The protagonist's actions annoy me sometimes, but this is a far better experience than I expected it to be. Recommend

GREAT GAME! Can't help it but play it all day. the best mobile RPG I've ever played.

Loving the series so far. I'm currently reading through book 2. Cant wait for book 3. bought full version for both to support. I definitely recommend to anybody that fantasy books. One thing I suggest is to do a little improvement on the main menu visuals. They are not bad just a little boring in my opinion

I like two relevant things: reading awesome stories and playing video games, and this combines both of them. Magium reminds me of those small storybooks that you could choose your next action and flip to the appropriate page, except this is much smoother and your decisions truly effect what happens next. I have gone as far as I can (which is 3 books n' 4 chapters, nothing to snuff at) and I am eagerly waiting for more. Give it a try. You could always uninstall if you don't like it.

Haven't felt this immersed in book for a long while. Absolutely wonderful writing and every character feels real and relatable. The magic is very well explained and everything makes sense. Overall a really good read.

this is by far the best choice game ive ever played. there seems to be like no ads and no random spurts of stuff telling you to pay money. the story line is incredible. how the stats interact with the game is amazing as well. you can play in so many different ways.

The story and the characters are great. While some people say that the writing is too simplistic I think that it adds to the charm of the game and it makes it more interesting and enjoyable especially for people who don't really read a lot of books and want to try something different. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who wants to try a CYOA game. I've been trying to remember something negative about this game but nothing comes to my mind. Definitely my favorite book. 10/10

Honestly, this game had me more hooked than a good book. The author is EXTREMELY vocal on the subreddit and I love it. The book series is currently on book 3 chapter 5(?) But the amount of content in books 1&2 are more than enough for the time being. I LOVE THIS.

I really love this app, ut really captivates my heart, however I dislike the fact that you makes us pay for the books after book 1, it is cool that you added in a way to get those books for free (by completing achievements), however I find that that is way too hard. These books should be for free, you are a really talented writer!

This book is actually well written. I enjoy this a lot more than any of the other adventure book type games. The characters feel real and the conflicts are real. I'm excited for book three to be finished. I'll probably wait till it's all out to buy the 3rd book though

Creepy is a word that comes to mind. The fact that the dialog forces you into these weird scenarios with females where the protagonist not only admires the females but the choices are either flirt, be overly forceful, or (thankfully) dismiss the overbearing and forced "sexual tension". Even then, however, you're forced into this awkward overly sexualized dialog by the writer. Its cheesy in a lot of ways and the character development is stale. I dont even mind that the writing is simplified.

The best ever text adventure I have ever played. Because of this, I refuse to play other text games because they are literally nothing compared to this one. I'mma be waiting for Chapter 5 of Book 3, take your time.
