The lyft app that drivers use is full of pop-up ads. Every driver I've had so far has needed to close each ad manually as it blocked the map on their phone. This is not only incredible distracting but also dangerous and unacceptable. Why are you allowing ads to play for drivers while they are driving? Gonna have to keep choosing Uber if this continues. Are you all so pressed for money that you resort to playing ads and distracting your drivers? I don't know why this issue hasn't been brought up.

I love the service and scooters (and the wonderful new program they put out for students/low income!), but your app SUCKS. 3/4 of the time, I switch to the scooter section, and it says 'no network connection'. It takes a frustratingly long time to get that part up, so I can see what scooters are around.

My choice for rides. My one gripe is the lack of true choice for how many passengers are going. For example, if I'm alone, I should have the option to use a 1-2 passenger ride. Instead you seem to always get a 3-4 passenger ride. It's a price thing here. Still... A simple app to get started, and overall really good service. I like Lyft. #iHollaaa!!

Cancelling a ride should be very clear. "If you cancel this ride you will be charged xx.00 because....." or "you may cancel this ride request free because we have looked for a driver and been unable to find one" Also the option to save a ride for the purpose of repeating later would be excellent. A suggestion section in the help menu would be great as well.

This app was great when I first got it but lately has been horrible. It used to pick me up in 5 minutes now I'm constantly getting 15 min waits. Which is fine I can plan for it but only if that ride actually shows up. Lately I've been getting long waits, the driver gets half way to me then it tells me it's finding me a new driver that's another 15 minutes away. had this happen 3 or four times for one ride the other day.

It has been horrendous the last few months. The app is incredible glitchy. Some of the drivers are just appalling and should not even be associating with other humans in their current state. SCREEN YOUR DRIVERS BETTER. Let's get back to how trash this app has been....I don't understand why the maps never work. Google maps isn't a new invention but somehow nearly every time I'm getting a ride it can't connect or triangulate. The number of drivers that cancel is unbelievable too. Do your job.

Since the recent changes requiring shared rides to only be with XL vehicles, it has taken hours for me to get rides. This is truly the only option available to me, because my company card is literally restricted to shared rides. Fix it. It doesnt make sense for commuter rides to be XL only Edit: this is in high traffic regions, and there is no excuse.

I have been using lyft for 7months. In the beginning I didnt have issues with anything. Now for the past month, ive been having issues with the drivers getting lost in route to pick me up. They say its due to their gps. The major issue Ive been having is my app not working properly. It nolonger allows me to confirm my ride. Ive restarted my phone, tap the confirm button and still doesnt work. So im now stranded after 10pm, trying to get home after work.

Customer service is non existent. I've been trying to get help from someone through their chat center for days as to why my payment info is no longer being accepted and they keep telling me it's my bank's problem even though my card works everywhere else. Update- It's been over a month now and I still haven't received any help from Lyft's customer service department. If I could give less than one star, I would.

Shared ride estimates are not accurate. The app should not allow riders to be added to an existing ride that would exceed the original estimated trip time band. The value of a shared ride decreases substantially when it can't be relied on to be timely.

No straightforward way to switch between Personal and Business profile resulting in messed up expense reporting and cross charges. Linking to Hilton Honors rewards takes you to broken web pages rather than completing the process in-app. Claims to lose connectivity even when all other apps are fine and you have full 4G signal strength. Overall, this app needs a lot of fixing.

Want to use this, but unable to login since years ago I applied to be a driver and my old DL (which I no longer have) is required. Customer Support is helpless to do anything except to recommend that I use a different phone number which makes no sense. Fix this problem and I will change my rating.

The map is VERY confusing when the driver cannot pick me up where im standing. Example is Atlanta Airport. Im the blue dot, im waiting at the pink dot, i see the car coming. Only after car has arrived do i see i need to go to purple dot! I had to run! Please improve this so it prompts me to keep walking to the designated pickup point.

Dishonest Extortionists! When booked the app showed 1-2 minutes until pickup. After booking says 7 minutes. If you try to cancel the app wants to charge you a very hefty cancellation fee claiming the driver has already been driving to pick you up even though the app showed on the screen that the driver was picking up someone else first. The car that arrived had three front seat (which was one of the 2 we needed) so fast up I couldn't get in.

I scheduled a ride a few days earlier. App said "Your ride is comfirmed by a driver." up til the last minute. On the day and time, no driver show up! Either driver cancelled the last minute or sys sux. It was early AM so I was struggling to find a ride so I don't miss my int'l flight. I know you can't control everything but this is very terrible. Your should provide a way for riders to communicate. I felt positive on Lyft but after this incident, my positive confident is no more.

I like this better than Uber but there needs to be a way for passengers to confirm they are in the car. Drivers can accidentally hit the pick up button even before they get to the pick up location. This puts passengers in bad situations where they cant cancel rides and end up stuck. Happened twice.

There is an error with my app and at first the support team was helpful, but after they couldn't find a resolution they stopped replying. This is over a $26 error and I am willing to pay, but the system error won't let me. A $26 error should not exile a paying client from using their app.

I have tried to be patient but this has been happening consistently. I will order a car, it estimates 5 minutes, and I end up waiting 10 or 15 minutes as my driver proceeds to make weird turns and goes in the wrong direction. It's so unreliable that I cannot use this anymore. I thought this was a one or two time random things, but its been happening every ride now. No longer interested in an unreliable service.

Dont use lyft because you think its cheaper - buying a car is cheaper. Ive been using lyft as my primary form of transportation for 2 yrs now & its by far one of the worst choice I have ever made. I recently vowed to never use this app again unless its an emergency. I look back with regret on how much they convinced me to waste my money. I should have saved all that money for a car instead. They dont offer any deals to regular customers. Overall, this is a waste of money. Buy a car instead.

The app is confusing. When I tried to contact the driver with text, it send an SMS instead of an in-app message that goes over the Internet. I won't rate the customer support service on Play Store, but worth mentioning that the customer support is as bad as the application!

The WORST APP! !! I had recently used Lyft and tried to request another Lyft with the card I been using, but the problem is when I request a ride this time, they trying to make me put another card in, when this the only card I have, I was stranded because of your app. I will no longer use this car pool app and won't recommend for anybody else to use it.

The app itself doesn't find drivers very easily, always have to reopen the app and after 15 min of messing with it, I come extremely close to missing my appointed time. The app isn't optimized the best and the overall connection and stability has much room for improvement.

The software is vague on where it pickes me up - exactly. This leads to missed rides if the driver does not call me. It also doesnt know about local details: illegal left turns, streets with stoplights every block, speed bumps, and more to get the best route. I try to stay alert to correct the route. It is great to know the cost up-front.

Was a long time user. Moved countries and tried to login again with a new cell number. Got stuck in an endless loop of verification emails and text confirmations that were received but not recognized by lyft. Back to Uber.

not happy with shared car. they drop you far from home and also the pick up location was not that close. the pop up of the car was too big that i could not see the map so i missed the car who was waiting for just 2 min and i had to pay 6 dollars for that. sort of no showing fee.not worthy. i recommend always compare prices with other apps and they decide.

Tried changing my number because i got another phone..after a week ..they finally change it..and now I'm stuck at work..I'm locked out of my account..the app won't recognize either number and there's no customer service to get help from...i wish i could give your o stars...or even negative stars..

There's only a share option there is no option to ride alone. People have work and important places to go and people who just got in the Lyft are getting dropped off first making me even more late for work!!!!!!! App and Drivers have you walk 3 blocks from your location making it even more difficult to find driver!!! Another awful ride sharing service. There is no quality control at all and you get random people in random cars, usually of questionable reliability. The app itself fails to locate the closest driver around 99% of the time and prices change between the time it starts looking and assigning. What a scam! Back to more reliable and consistent taxi service - even if consistent means bad.

Terrible. There is a very high chance that the driver will drive away without cancelling, probably to avoid getting in trouble by the app, but it wastes a huge amount of your time. If you call shared, get ready to stuff into a car with 3 other people, sometimes they're large, sometimes not, goodluck.

It won't even let me add a card number! Absolutely terrible, keeps declining my card so I called my bank and they said there is money on it!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would!

They want you to add more than 1 card to charge both of them. It's ridiculous. I'm paying $30 to go to my job and $30 back home while my car is getting fixed. Its expensive and Lyft is just draining funds. Plus the GPS systems that drivers use like to go thru traffic instead of taking backways which is less time.

Trouble with GPS either in identifying the correct pickup location or forcing the user to select an Inaccurate pickup location and change it after the ride has been ordered. Drivers tell me they have no way of complaining about issues with the app.

It was good at beginning but now when i put in address it keeps saying its in the u.s?!? I just requested a car and it took 10 minutes to find a car and it still hadn't found anything...also only works on certain phones

Was having trouble with my master and had a function to go to and my account could not be acceess I dont have anymore card to add why was my lastcride a problem you all have my card number on file I had to pay out of pocket to go to my function and beg my friend to call a Uber for me to get back home and I had to pay her cash why is this so inconvenant for me because of $14 92 on my last ride you can access the money from my card please I need to get around am in the entertainment buisness thk

Won't accept payment all of a sudden & I've been using the same card on this account for years. It's not accepting my PayPal because the same card number is attached to it. And even though they say they accept Google pay there's no option for it.

It's been good. However, the prices went up $8 unexpectedly and I'm already paying for the $14.99 subscription monthly. My $20-22 ride, is now $28-30. As a full time college student, this is too much money for one way.

I think there's a bug where if I request a ride, a driver confirms and cancels, I'll wait indefinitely for another ride. I had to cancel the current ride and request another ride for me to finally get another driver. Wasted 10 minutes waiting for the first request =(

Lyft often charges my regular credit card instead of my commuter card, even though I select the commuter card. This is a costly error that they can't fix after the fact. Also, if a driver cancels on you after you waited ten minutes, they don't do anything to remedy the situation.

Absolute waste of time. Useless, tried it for a few cities. Now officially ready to offer my opinion. !!!don't use!!! Fear my personal email account and credit card info could be jeopardized. Because they have required all of it on sign up, no Lyft It won't even load a trip!!! It gets stuck and app basically freezes. Note9. Without any result or explanation. All the time my request gets cancelled. The GPS is always inaccurate, the time was 5min longer than what the expectation had said. The worst app for me between Juno and Uber. No more Juno. So I have to use Uber. Never will use this Lyft POS again.

This app will stay at one star until there is an easy one step process to report the lack of a matching license plate or driver photo without cancelling the ride and being hit with a user-paid cancellation fee. The current process is not consumer centric from a safety perspective.

They are fast with the pick up but the app is horrible.. When you confirm a ride notifications comes in saying your ride is outside when the ride done pick you up and dropped you off already. the other day they charge me for a cancel fee in which a driver came and pick me up and drop me off already I had to tell them to put my money back on my card now. I am going back to uber the only reason why I took lyft was cuz my uber account wasnt taking my card

I can have full bars and the app says i have no connection. And then it takes for ever to find a ride. Uber may be a little more expensive but at least their app loads correctly most of the time.

Massive complications trying to set it up it kept telling me that all of my email addresses we're not associated with my phone and then it wanted on my credit card number in advance when I haven't even schedule a ride I was just downloading the app

Location issue is noted sometimes and it pickes up wrong points on the map not the obvious practical point of pickup. For example, when I was booking from hotel, it was showing pickup at the HWY as there was a HWY right behind the hotel.

I been using lyft for almost a year at first it was great but now The prices went up and the drivers take longer it went from waiting 2-5 minutes to 11 minutes the app doesn't show me the driver is outside it shows the driver arriving in 1-2 mins but the driver been outside for over 5 mins and leaves me trying out uber now...

This happens a couple of times now!! The driver accepts then cancels the ride after you already waited for 5-10 minutes then they are gonna assign you another driver so you'll have to wait another 10-15 minutes. It's just frustrating and a waste of time especially when you're in a hurry!

This app has become a nightmare to use...I have been trying to book rides to work well over an hr before I need to be there and it's still giving me people who are a good 40+minutes away finishing rides.. fix this

I dont like that I have to keep a cc on file. Why cant I pay cash? Banking institutions and many others have been breached and cc information leaked and for that reason I dont feel comfortable having my info out there. Since lyft is always asking for a rating, today, I will give one. Lyft app lacks the technological sophistication to accurately get you to your destination in a timely manner. Pick up and arrival time estimates are consistently incorrect. Expect to wait 10 min past given time. Shared riding is ineffective, time consuming. An additional 5 min is okay 10+ unacceptable. I AM PAYING to get somewhere. Lyft, TIME affects someone's day beyond the experience with the app customer service exp 12 years.

The app is easy to use but takes forever to find the closest driver. It often switches drivers, which ends taking even longer.

Times posted are severely inaccurate. The app can never find connection. You don't know when you'll arrive until after you order the ride. I hate this app.

The app is extremely easy to use and it very helpful. I love the feature that will generate a receipt to be sent to your email. This comes in handy for work trips and getting reimbursed for my travel fees.

Terrible time estimates. Impossible to predict when a ride will arrive or how long it will take. Time estimates are consistently factors of two and three different.

Shared rides will pick up passengers off your route. Other apps are more reliable if getting to your destination on time.

Trying to use it and map does not work, nor when you try to type your location and where to go! Horrible!

The service normally works fine but theres times when the app stops updating me on the driver and they never show up. I try contacting the drivers but I cant. When I cancel the ride it tells me that they detected an error. I just really wished they told so i didnt have to stand for half an hour in the sun waiting for a ride that will never come.

Worst app ever, drivers don't know where their going, can't follow the GPS, ride it self cost just as much as a taxi cab, oh not to mention they it cost more money to return something than your actual trip. Am deleting this app and going to uber way cheaper and at least you get rewards.

So far it's good. Uber didn't let me update my payment option so now I use Lyft. If I have to update any payment option or email or anything hopefully I don't have the same or worse problem I had with Uber.

Four issues: 1. The "send report" function does not work, so getting receipts to my expense system requires me taking screenshots on my phone. 2. There's no way to provide feedback on the app or get support on the app itself (for things like #1). 3. The web app is completely different than the mobile app. Sometimes I'm in front of my laptop and want to get things done without changing devices. 4. App constantly switches drivers. I went through 6 drivers last night, all changed by Lyft. A 10 minute wait became 30.

Everytime I open my app it implies that the driver will be 5 minutes away if requested so I make sure I'm ready before I request. When I finally decide to request, the driver ends up being 17 to 20 minutes away and I end up going late to work. That should be fixed immediately so the passenger can request ahead of time if they know from the beginning that it will take that long for the driver to arrive.

A bit frustrating that I cannot request a lyft from my house to BART, but if I need a ride from the Bart station to my house I always am able to get a ride. I've been having to rely on Uber & its horrible. 🙃

Big fan of prices until lyft suggested I upgrade to Black for an additional $23 but it was offered in a way that seems it would have been $23 vs the $20 I was already about to pay. This made no sense to me why that would even be a proposition because who wants to pay $43 for a $20 ride? I think that is a flaw in the app because that just seems like they are trying to take money and before this experience, that had never been something that happened to me.

Simple and excellent for getting rides everywhere I travel. The app had always worked well. Use it several times every week.

Pickup times in Los Angeles have gotten horrendous. Quotes times are often 2-3x longer than Uber, and then actual times are regularly 2x that of the quoted times.

First time using the app. Twice in one day I did not get the ride I scheduled. First was cancelled by Lyft and the second was canceled by me after waiting 20 minutes after the scheduled ride time with no contact from the driver or info from the app

Your Shared Rides algorithm is, in a word $h!t. In a few more words it's an unsafe greed machine that almost caused an accident! I was in a car headed from Redmond to Seattle via 520, then right as we got to the 405 inner-change the $uck!ng app bleeps & says we have to get on 405 N, meaning the driver has to quickly cross 3 lanes in rush hour traffic. It's not the driver's fault, he has no control/choice over which riders get added, in fact he'll get penalized if he doesn't stop. FIX THIS.

Been using this service since november 1st and it was great at first now the app takes to long to confirm a driver. Then when a notification comes in saying my ride is out front 2 minutes later it say i will be charged if i dont go out. The scheduling is bad i ordered a lyft for 9:20 to be dropped off at 9:37 and a driver confirmed the ride and took payment out but was not going to show up till 10:10 and the person needed to be at his ride before 10pm to go the rest of the way to work.

Lyft is great. Sometimes. Their engineering team must be really bogged down or something because the app has been extremely buggy for the past several months. Navigation does not stay up to date, app freezes, there is a 2-3 min delay on where the driver is so if the app says they're 2 min away they're probably outside. Drivers rarely stay at the pin which os problematic, but probably causes by the time lag in the app.

Every time I have needed a Lyft, I can usually get to and from my house to my destination fairly quickly!!!! I have noticed in the past Lyft was almost so is cheaper than Uber. But the last few days I have checked who is twins more expensive but I was unable to use my credit or debit cards on the Uber app so overall I would still recommend Lyft over any other ride sharing app.

Why are you guys keeping on changing the ride based on unavailability, after confirming the ride. It's just simply wasting our time and money. And at the end, we reach to a point where we cannot cancel the ride, still being get charged and not reaching to the destination on time. And when I tried contacting the "customer care", nobody cares. Totally disappointed...

Im really upset! I understand the policy about the cancellation fee but Im sure the cancellation fee wasnt the full price of my ride that I canceled. I would love to get what is owe to me back!!!!!! My 1st time riding lyft was today and my ride was smooth, my driver my super sweet! But the company itself 1 star! Hopefully we can get the resolve in a timely manner! And the nerve not to have a contact number! It says yall are open 24hours but I havent recieve a call yet.

So when I was in Disney World last month, I used the LFYT service for the first time. One thing I didn't like is that there was a promo that overrode my another one that I wanted to use but couldn't change to that one. A bug that I also found was if I didn't complete the finish ride thing, (I tipped in cash), then as soon as the app was reopen, there would be a vehicle on route to pick me up again that I didn't request. Running this on Stock Note 10+

Mostly ok, but would be nice if there was a way to cancel a driver who is obviously ghosting a rider (not moving, 3 minutes away with no traffic for 10+ minutes, not answering phone).

No network connection yet full signal. App has been pulling drivers that are more than 15 min away which in cities and aiports such as Orlando and Houston this should not be happening.

Driver would not pick me up in front of my house but rather my alley. Their GPS is HORRIBLE!!!! Had trouble w drivers taking my money an not picking me up. Great app! They don't "stack" rides one after the other like Uber does - so when they confirm a ride, they're actually on their way!

App showed pickup 7 minutes away. Upon requesting ride, it chose a driver 20 minutes away. Then charged $5 to cancel ride. Reopened app. It was still showing an available driver 7 minutes away.

If you want an app that inexplicably fails, this one's for you. Every time I try using this app it keeps rejecting my credit card. When trying a different one, it would accept it until it asks you for another one with the same address. I'm not made on money to have multiple cards to spare. And when I'm furiously trying to enter a new card info, the fare spikes. Really convenient in all the wrong ways.

App almost always finds what seems to be the driver that is the furtherest away and then provides totally inaccurate time till pick up.

Gives incorrect quotes for rides. It adds a 150% markup to what they quoted for the ride with no changes and 10 min pickup.

I've been using this app on the nights I cant get picked up from work, and the occasional ride home when I'm not up for walking (about 2 or 3 nights a week) and I love it! Its easy too use, the drivers are great, and I havent had a single problem of any kind. If I could suggest something to improve it I would say that there should be an option for frequent riders so they can have a small discount, especially if they are going a long way. I wanted to also point out that I'm from Maine (US)

Sure, it's cheaper, but the app can't ever show me destination results in the same city I'm in (location on). The search takes forever to get these incorrect results and when you select any, nothing happens! The map doesn't update most of the time so the driver might be here or is completely lost, who knows? If you're in a hurry, just don't even bother, you'll just waste a bunch of time and get even more stressed out.

Extremely disappointing ride service. The drivers don't follow the best routes. Have been consistently late to work for 4 days in a row even after leaving my house earlier. It appears that the earlier I leave the worse the drivers get. I've had 2 drivers who refuse to use the GPS because "the know the city better". PLUS, 15 MIN WAITING TIME FOR A DRIVER IS RIDICULOUS! I WAIT 6 MIN FOR ONE AND THEN GET A DIFFERENT ONE 11 MIN AWAY! WTH???!?!?!?!

Every new update brings new problems. Why can't they get it right? With Oct 2 update, now when I start requesting ride by selecting destination, it fills in some random address that is a mile south of where I am instead of using "current location". I would have requested a bad lyft if I had not noticed. And I have never been at that address or put it in the app.

Limited driver availability in many areas causing long waits. The GPS that lyft insists the drivers use, often puts them at the wrong location. I stopped using lyft, i recommend not using the service. My last experience i waited almost 45 mins, 3 driver transfers and each time the driver was further away than the last. All lyft would do is give me a 5 dollar credit in which i havent recieved.

An app designed to waste peoples time when it matters most, and make you feel like they don't even want your money.

On more than one occasion, I have had drivers claim they are at pick up spot or call stating they are close by, then they drop the ride and Lyft begins searching for another driver. My last request, I was dropped twice! Took over 30min to finally get picked up. Fortunately I had plenty of time and not miss my train! Very frustrating!

If you don't give drivers 5 stars Lyft requires you give a reason why. Five stars means they went above and beyond so if they do their job correctly they get four stars and Lyft starts looking for a problem where there is none. It's really annoying to have to type out there was no problem every time I get a left.

App is trash. Crashes and GPS doesnt work. Call support and get no help! I can't believe this is how Lyft is doing things now.

Says theres no connection even though I have a full one and I'm on wifi. Its 2019, this shouldn't be a thing for services like this.

Ok so I've been using this app since 2017, and by now I think I have my fair share in giving it my 2-cents of constructive criticism. (1) Users should be able to add starred locations by being able to choose it's point on the map NOT JUST BY TYPING IT IN, for instance my work location is way off from where my actual drop off location is. (2) When viewing the map, that drop down tab is always in the way, I constantly find myself having 2 use the full map only 2 find out I can't even minimize it.

I really wouldn't suggest lyft. I just started to use the lyft app on oct 29th 2019 and the lyft app has charged me for both a tip and a ride i did not request . I was charged $4 for a tip and $8.52 for a ride. And after talking with customer support are acting like i made the requests when i 100% didn not. Oh and if this tip thing happens to you like it did me you will never see that money again because lyft doesn't refund tips. This ride share app i feel is a scam
