Set in the world of League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra is the strategy card game where skill, creativity, and cleverness determine your success. Choose your champions and combine cards from different regions—each with their own style and strategic advantage—then build the perfect deck to take down the rest.

ICONIC LEAGUE CHAMPIONS: Classic champs from League of Legends and brand new characters from the world of Runeterra come to life in vivid detail.

SKILL ABOVE ALL: It’s all about the choices you make and the risks you take. Every move matters and the outplays are all up to you.

YOUR CARDS, YOUR WAY: Earn cards for free as you play or buy exactly what you want—you’re in control of your collection, and you’ll never pay for random packs of cards.

CRAFT YOUR STRATEGY: Combine, adapt, and experiment with frequent new releases in an always-evolving meta.

EVERY ACTION HAS A REACTION: Dynamic, alternating gameplay means you can always react and counter—but so can your opponent.

FACE OFF WITH FRIENDS AND FOES: Battle friends for bragging rights, challenge foes in Ranked play, or embark on an Expedition and draft a deck as you go.

DISCOVER RUNETERRA: Explore the epic regions of Runeterra to reveal hidden connections between the denizens, dangers, and creatures that live there.

In Legends of Runeterra, you choose from 24 champion cards to include in your deck, each with a unique mechanic inspired by their original League of Legends abilities.

Champions enter the battle as powerful cards, and if you play smart, they level up to become even more epic.

Gain new abilities to crush your enemies. Turn the tide of battle with a swift combo. Even break the rules and claim a new way to win.

Champions are key cards to build your deck around, but to take down the enemy Nexus, you’re going to need a team. Pick allies that support your champ’s strategy to level up fast and take control of the board.

You have tons of supporting cards to choose from. You’ll encounter some familiar faces and discover completely new ones.

Every character and card in the game comes from a region of Runeterra. At launch, you have access to cards from six major regions: Demacia, Noxus, Freljord, Piltover & Zaun, Ionia, and the Shadow Isles.

Each region has a distinct playstyle and strategic advantage, but things get even more interesting when you combine cards from two different regions. There’s a deck for every personality and playstyle—but it’s up to you to find the right cards for your winning strategy.

The paths to victory are many. Get creative, because how you build your deck is completely up to you—and so is how you get your cards.

Legends of Runeterra is free to play. Victory or defeat, each battle brings experience and progress. Choose which region you explore first and unlock the cards that call to you, changing regions as often as you like. As you advance, you’ll collect new allies, spells, and champions—more than enough for multiple decks.

Once a week, you’ll also unlock chests from the Vault. These chests level up the more you play, increasing the rarity of cards inside from common all the way up to champion. They can also contain wildcards, which can be turned into any card you want—no guessing required. Experiment with an abundance of new cards to discover your playstyle and craft your strategy. As your collection grows, so do the possibilities.

Embark on Expeditions and draft a deck as you go, overcoming as many opponents as you can with an evolving set of cards.

Or truly test your skill by taking your strategy into Ranked, and see where you stand among the best players in Runeterra.

Where you go from here is up to you. From the champions to the combat, the regions to the reactions, every choice you make is a chance to be legendary.

LoR feels like a better hearthstone to me. Let's start with the obvious, the collection system, the ammount of cards you get is ridiculous, I love experimenting with stuff and being able to craft a deck the moment an expansion drops without needing to pay €50, this way I'll gladly pay for cosmetics. I think the battle and board system is very well done, the champions are a blast, the level ups look amazing, I love the art. Overall a blast and I love playing it. Also nerf Lee sin please

decks A fine breed between MTG and HS with some unique and original spin too. A must if you are a tcg enthusiast. Free to play and is NOT pay to win. No pay wall at any level. Of course you can pay to get all the cards as fast as money allow you, but also, you can spend time to get the same. It took me less than a month to prepare 2 deck.

release I'm loving this game! Good variety of decks & strategies. Suberb visual and audio effects and absolutely gorgeous card art. My one nitpick is that the mobile version of this can be buggy at times, with parts of the screens/buttons not responding which has caused my turn to be skipped on more than one occasion. Otherwise an incredibly fun experience that I would recommend

download I've been playing this game for months now, and it is easily one of the most satisfying mobile gaming experiences I've had. It's fun. The cards and meta are regularly balanced. Multiplayer is fun, and Riot Games listens to the players. Minimal emphasis on micro-transactions. I wish other major mobile gaming companies would give this same level of attention and care to their games. Would make the app store a much better place. Great job Riot!

reddit A good card game system that is very easy to introduce, hard to master, has good rewards for free to play players, and has plenty of support for the foreseen future. If you don't like the randomness of hearthstone, but enjoy the capabilities and affordability of online card games, this is the best one.

patch notes I have a suggestion you should lower the loading or after a fight remove that loading screen (background with Ashe in top of the mountain) and you should add a setting for lite or low wifi or data signal and make it more fun by adding animation (can be cute, funny, entertainment and also addictive) and one more for me can you add microphone for fun or talking while fighting and its for me if you just want to make it.←(>▽<)ノ

mobile I genuinely did not think that I would enjoy that game as much as I do. The storyline and lore(predominantly found on youtube) is so in depth and engaging. The way you go through the challenges to start and learn the game was a very big plus for me. I've tried getting into Magic the Gathering, as well as Hearthstone, but found it hard to pick up and learn. However, having a friend who is also passionate about the lore who showed that to me first, I found it easier to follow.

meta Simple to learn, deceptively deep to play. Welcome to a wonderfully themed collector card game that is not going to feel like a cash grab. All rarities cost the same so if there's a card you like you can get it. Frequent well thought out updates and fun events. After burning out on Magic and Hearthstone this has been a real gem to enjoy.

beta I've always been a big TCG fan with my main game being YuGiOh and, when I saw this game announced I KNEW I had to sign up to try the beta. It totally holds up to my incredibly high expectation in terms or gameplay and deck design/variety as well as actually card art and visuals. It's also very generous for a digital card game and I never felt pressured to spend any money to enjoy the game (although I will say I have done). It's also free so no reason to skip this one!

mac As an MTG player I was recommended this game from The Professor at Tolarian Community College and I find myself playing this game more than MTG Arena. I would love to give this game 5 stars, it is quite amazing, my only major critique is as a new player joining into The Gauntlet I had very few cards or champions to make three solid decks. I often felt matched up against the most aggressive meta decks. Other than that I've had a great experience so far and look forward to playing more.

It's a refreshing change compared to hearthstone or mtga. At least for now they aren't releasing new cards ahead of the curve for a casual player to be able to have fun. It is set up with an easy way to get new cards without having to spend money. I have suggested this to friends who used to play Hearthstone, but stopped bc they fell behind in the most current cards. The game has been out for almost a month now and theres more bugs being discovered. I really appreciate the effort of the developers but can you please add a "report a bug" button? Also an "exit button" can be a nice addition to the UI. It's really annoying to exit the game by logging out without any exit option. EDIT: With the latest updates there are so many bugs introduce in the game. It's laggy and when U play Expedition I can only see 2 choices. I love this game but rhe bugs are too much.

great game no ingame purchases needed but it will help speed a the process for grinding for cards. This is ap great game a mixture of hearthstone and magic the gathering. I would definitely recommend cant wait till they add more cards and more champions to this game. the visuals and the cosmetics are great I still spend money because I love this game.

The game is really good. At first i thought that it's gonna be another pay to win game, but oh boy did the game surprised me. I really love the fact that this game continues to improve upon itself and introduces new mechanics to the game. Here's to hoping there'll be more single player experiences in the future. Like introducing a higher level of AI to play with. Or an offline version where playing with AI can be fun. Overall, the experience with the game is really great!

  15. Shaun Montes-avatar

My favorite game of this genre I've played thus far and quite possibly my favorite game I've ever played on mobile! There's absolutely no pressure to buy anything and the experience so far has been super fun without me having spent any money... which unsurprisingly makes me more inclined to want to spend money! I love how it's different from other CCGs and the effects are super cool. All around I'm highly impressed; I'll leave an update if that changes. I sure hope not. :)

  16. Taylor Pratt-avatar

    Taylor Pratt

The best digital CCG on the market right now. Best free to play experience, unique turn sequence that streamlines games, hard working dev and balance team. There are some tricky ways timing interacts, but if you go through the tutorials and puzzles, it will teach you how that all works. Did I mention, best free to play experience? Because that's super important and well done. Edit: saw other people complaining about optimization for mobile, and it works great.

Really fun card game that definitely competes with the other big names in terms of gameplay. What I really like about LoR is the fact that the game makes it VERY easy to unlock new cards and I never felt like I needed to spend money in order to keep moving up the ranked ladder. I recommend this game to anyone that loves card games and is tired of the typical pay-to-win model.

The game is pretty good,I love the animation and mechanics and have been playing for quite awhile, but now I'm facing a problem when I open the game it says checking for update and after awhile it says update cannot be found or something, this happened to me in the recent update plz tell me what to do?

  19. Joshua Tan-avatar

This is possibly the most free to play online card game I've tried. Sure it requires maybe about 15 minutes per day to do so, but I've amassed so much in this game without spending a dime. Gameplay itself is innovative and refreshing, the alternating plays may not be for everyone but it makes it far more interactive than other summoning sickness/non interactive turns.

  20. Alejandro Viloria Páez-avatar

    Alejandro Viloria Páez

The game is a beauty, my only complaint is that text sometimes is hard to read if you have a small device. Performance wise is amazing and the game just feels exactly the same as the PC version. I've been playing since launch and the added button to see the daily quests is great. It would be nice something to enhance the text of some cards when clicked on. Still 5tars.

  21. barsaloum-avatar

As a free to play player who has played way too many card games to enumerate, this game is amazing. You can easily get a competitive set of cards within a week simply by completing quests! The animations are amazing (being a card game), the mechanics are very interesting and the meta is very diverse. Very easy to get hooked on if you enjoy TCgames! 3 stars because your game crashes every week never updating properly for no real change. Just the frustration of going through with it.

Very good game, I truly enojy it a lot. It might take some time to get familiar with the cards so you can progress and predict your opponent moves, so I recomend you play more lor. (Sorry for the pun). Ps. I dont know where to write this, but since you asked. Lee Sin needs some checking rn. His kick has became unbeatable since Targon addition, also celestials can be a little op.

It is fun. I think you should wildcards able to buy using the green gems. And overall it is good and fun. I will make it 5 star if you make all wildcards buyable using green gems. Thank you very much. ❤️❤️ I also love how the graphics work and all about runterra. Please keep it up so that many players will play this game. Thank you very much. ❤️❤️

(I have to lower my rating because the latest update (aka landmarks) are badly broken. Was this playtested at all?) The game in general is a good card game that is only possible as a video game. Microtransations are handled well. The reason this deserves 5 stars though is the addition of the labs mode. While they vary in how much fun they are, this regularly changing game mode keeps the game feeling fun and fresh when I should be bored. The best is the latest "reach the peak" one.

  25. Ad Blocker-avatar

    Ad Blocker

Very great Android version of a great game, the graphics and the level of detail is amazing. The gameplay is really great too. There are alot of rewards, this is truly free to play, even though I would recommend the starter packet. My only wish though would be a frame rate adjustment option like on pc, as I would like to play at 120fps on mobile too

  26. Abyss Walker48-avatar

    Abyss Walker48

The game is awesome, lots of replay value and doesn't try to force a pay to win scheme, but every time there is an update, I always spend like 5 minutes waiting for the update to start, and it often gets stuck at 99 percent. My internet is really fast so this is pretty annoying especially when I just wanna try out a new deck.

I installed and reinstalled this game 2-3times, it couldn't connect to server, was showing an error code 17000. I just played one time then I couldn't login. Anyways, this happens. :) Its an awesome game, I have no complaints about anything at all. And I'm having problems logging in again, its 170000 again, can't login for 4hrs .wow.

  28. Brian Blagg-avatar

    Brian Blagg

Good card game. Weekly chests can give you large amounts of cards for free. Daily missions alongside region tracks allow you to get even more cards for free. This is absolutely not a pay to win game. Very consumer friendly. Only critique would be to rest daily missions from 1 to 2. Once you complete the first 3, you only receive one quest a day. This is adequate for leveling up weekly chests, BUT it hurts daily replay value imo.

  29. Pleased to Enter a Name-avatar

Favourite, gives you opportunity to react and countavert. Matchmaking makes it truly exciting. Card games never been my thing but always somehow around and this isnt a real card genre cus there cant be a physical counterpart unlike Tellstones which Ill have yet to try out. Really enjoyed every expansion and waiting for future expeditions with utter hype. Unlike other games where you only sit and watch until next turn. Ability to raise max nexus HP would be nice or idk, attack with XOXOXO

(Beta Tester and long-time RIOT games player) I've never once had full moment with this game. The cards are beautiful, the lore it adds is astounding, the little details always get me, the mechanics are not only fresh, but filled with depth and versatility. I have found no bugs, no performance issues, and it doesn't eat away at my battery like taxes do at my life (Lol). My literal only gripe is they used Ezreal's old character instead of his new one, despite it being less recent than the game.

  31. Corvus Saint-avatar

    Corvus Saint

This game is sooo addicting. I do wish there was more interaction with the opposite players. Emotes and guardians are cool but they don't add much. Would be awesome to see the opposite field get damaged and eventually destroyed. Or the guardians dying at the end. How about phrases that your champ says to enemy. Would be awesome! Keep it up!

I feel like alot of negative reviews from people are because of their phones, my game is running smoothly and i have an old phone. if ur having problems, downgrade the graphics settings, it doesnt change the gameplay, if that doesnt work and the game still crashes, play it on pc,riot really just wanted to help us get in their games everywhere, so they made it mobile, stop whining and being a Karen, be patient. Otherwise an amazing game, i love the art and the sound design, all the little details

Connection issues Loading issues And just overall being slow and taking forever o freezing is something people consistently have an issue with. As do I. So I think it's great. Though I feel like elusive cards are kinda... unnecessary. And some spells are super op. Like one that makes a card immortal or another that makes them immune to spells. Some of the regions can't stand alone while others can. Some are a bit stronger as well. But imbalance is a given with games I'm guessing.

The game is awesome and i would give it 5 stars but i need help with something. Ever since the last patch 1.2 me and my friend can't play together, when we click ready it just stays onxthe loading screen, after a few seconds i get a message saying "Matchmaking failed. opponent disconnected" but on his screen it looks like i surrendered. We both have good internet and we live close to each other, Can you pleaseee help i want to play with my friend :((. Im changing to five stars it fixed

Excelente game! Congratulations! You made it again! The rewards systems is outstanding. Loving it so far. Update: From 5 to 3. Still love the game and I am thankful for the great job; still, I have some complains: 1) My octubre the 1rst vault, simply vanished, after a long waiting at opening it. No rewards at all. 2) October 12 and 13: not able to match at all. No normal, no competitive, no AI: nothing. 3) October 13: Not able to log in at all I appreciate your time and I am eager to give 5⭐

As a magic the gathering player , i was reluctant to try legends of Runeterra because i thought it lacks depth and the level of decision making that im used to from Magic. I could not have been more wrong! The game has a lot of interesting mechanics and defined factions , each is specialized in a specific Style (spell casting , aggro , control....). The biggest difference between magic and legends is the economy. Legends is way less predatory than magic is...........

Actually a Hearthstone Diamond player and used to TCG in real life, I'm in love with this game, a lot of keywords, mechanics and modes to play. Aside from that the animations, sounds and voices are great. It is detailed in everything. Hoping it became more popular and more people join!

Beautiful card game, lovely art and crisp sound design. Since the game came out of Beta, I've gotten to Masters in every season and I have to say that Riot fails at balancing - again. The game is extremely snowball-y and Spells are horribly costed for their effects compared to units. While I understand that each Region needs it's own identity, strengths and weaknesses, they (generally) utterly fail at providing more than one viable archetype.

The game itself is fantastic, best digital card game going currently. But mobile version? Shambles. Takes me 10 minutes to launch because it spends 5 minutes looking for updates and if there is one, even if its probably only a few MB, it will take another 5 minutes. Theres a perfectly good app store that you can add updates to, if you cant make a game that handles them well ingame then don't bother.

This is a fantastic strategy game. I love the opportunities to react to opponents. They are very generous with cards and resources to free players, and cosmetics are fair prices. I played it on PC first and this app is a fantastic version, nothing is lost in translation. The graphics and visuals impress me.

I really like this not only because of it's game play but also because of the lore it includes. But sadly I have some problems with the app version of this game. The problems occur when I start the app: The oldest problem is that I'm stuck at the loading screen at "checking for updates". It just won't continue and I can only fix it by reinstalling. A new problem is that apparently the game fails to download the new update. Overall a game I really love to play but please fix those problems.

Unlike many other card games, you can't really pay to win. Which makes this game way ahead of the pack in my book! Great interactions, beautiful art, many modes, ... Seriously, Riot did it again. They created a classic that will last for years

I'm loving this game, I heard about it from the professor at Tolarian community colleges youtube! The game offers a hearthstone feel while retaining a complexity like that of magic the gathering. The rewards system is sweet and makes it feel good to keep playing and by far expeditions are my favorite way to play!

I recommend this game! Recent changes to MTG Arena brought me here, I've been playing for about 2 weeks and I am really impressed! Bright colourful graphics, great sound and solid mechanics make this a CCG to check out. Economy is very generous with tons of rewards, rewards that you can choose based on different paths within the game. I think MTG/Hearthstone players need to UNlearn a few things before the get really clicks, at least it did for me.

Having played Hearthstone many years, I am totally impressed with Legends of Runeterra! Fun to play, engaging, well designed, and most of all affordable. Rewards are actually meaningful. I spent money on this game...not because I had to, but because I wanted to.

Finally got me to quit Hearthstone, five years later. This game is amazing, it's everything I wanted Eternal to be that it wasn't. It's interactive without being slow, allows for clever plays, has a generous economy, and has fun alternate win conditions--the fact that Fiora and Teemo exist in the base set of this game is amazing.

Coming to LOR as a Hearthstone/MTG veteran, I am impressed by the game that Riot has crafted. This is a fun and engaging take on the digital card game space. The game feels balanced and the rewards from just playing are enough that it doesn't feel like pay-to-win. Also, the splash art and flavor text for almost every card is amusing and adds to my enjoyment of the game.

  48. John Wright-avatar

Easily one of the best free to play CCGs on the market. The design of the cards is great, the small interactions between each card are very cool world building and not the mention the F2P economy doesn't treat you as an ATM. You can buy cards with direct currency, no packs and you get a ton of free cards and currency to boot. A top tier deck will at most cost like $30 with the average being around $20. If you like digital card games this one is well worth a try

  49. Ghaladh-avatar

Finally a game that delivers what it promises! There are still things to smooth around the edges, yet the developers are truly working on it and you can trust they will deliver. Frequent updates, new cards and an ever evolving playstyle. Probably the best CCG out there.

One of the best card in the market now. No need to spend a thousand of money to build your 1st or 2nd full deck. Great artwork and special effect. Interesting mechanics. There are still some of op deck but it's not that bad. It's free so please guve it a try.

Be careful about playing ranked on mobile, their servers are finicky if you switch internet connections resulting in disconnects and losses. The meta is stale due to one super strong deck at the moment but the game is fun when both parties use fun, creative and unique decks. The game can be completely free to play if you choose, but you will have to grind and wait for cards you want. The most recent patches had big oversights from the balance team but should be corrected in two weeks at least..

I've been playing for about 3 weeks and really enjoying LoR. The game factions all allow for different styles of play with no one deck ruling the leader boards. I would have to say my only real gripes with the game is that on mobile it doesn't disable the screen lock timer (might be intended) and the lack of more expressive emotes for the f2p players. That said the game isn't pay to win and no gotcha mechanics, you can buy cards but none are locked behind a pay wall.

Easiliest best of all the CCGS I've played. As someone who was almost pro in MTG, diamond 2 in hearthstone, ext. Free to play and truly free to play l, doesnt take long to build collection. Great gameplay, sound, and effects. And the games are generally decided quickly, so you don't feel like your wasting 30+ minutes for a long grindy game where you never stood a chance.

Have you ever played a game that wants you to feel good? A card game WANTS you to collect the cards and experience all aspects of the meta? This game can be pay 2 win in a sense that you CAN buy all the cards when you start the game. That being said you don't have to I bought the start pack to begin the game and support the developers but you don't even need that. This game is for the constructed card game players that want to build and have a collection.

Runeterra was an amazing game, it was actually perfect, but Riot games loves to add new features way too strong and broken to make them popular, it happened with a lot of lol champions and now is happening with targon: burst speed buff AND spellshields, endless card value, heal with a super efficient mana cost never saw before on other cards and in the end, just in case you needed a cherry on top of the cake, you can silence ANYTHING and destoy ANY win condizion! ENJOY!

Awesome impression of League Of Legends. Very addicting. Impressive strategies to decide. Challenging. Calming. Mind blowing characters art design on the cards. Peaceful and exciting to read all the stories of each card. Smooth gameplay. No crashes or lagging during the game even after playing for several hours. Highly recommended game this is!

  57. Rosta720-avatar

This is EXCELLENT. As a former mtg player this is ACTUALLY free to play, its fun, the mana system is better. Its easier but its not brain dead like hearthstone, This. Is. A. GAME. Right here. Loving it 10 hours in, only hope it doesn't go sideways, just an Excellent job from Riot.

  58. Conor Quinn-avatar

Best evolution of the mtg format so far. Mtg still suffers because of its base mechanics with land and one player having the advantage of going first. Hearthstone fixed those issues but by aiming at a casual audience went for practically zero instant interaction. Legends of runeterra game fundamentals promote more skill and less luck than other card games. The art, themes and captions are top notch and bring the universe into your imagination. The sounds and voice acting are also top tier.

  59. Newt1izard-avatar

It's a great game. Incredibly free to play friendly (I own most of the cards and have only spent money on cosmetics) and new cards are set to come out every two months! I highly recommend trying it out if you're wanting to try out a CCG for the first time or if you're coming over from another game!

I'm a newbie/casual player. It was easy for me to understand the mechanics of the game. It's challenging and fun. I like the graphics, especially those cute poros and guardians ^.^ (But I wish that a card's ability only activates / takes effect when summoned / in play.)

Since I cant play wild rift rn, the least i can enjoy is Legends of Runeterra. Regardless, card games have been quite a thing a for me in general so yeah, LoR is not just a time filler but a good time for fun for me. P.S. For the ones who used this section of LoR to complain or ask about wild rift, please do me a favor by wait patiently and stop complaining.

  62. Harold Morton-avatar

Great game! One small issue that I get is that occasionally there's a lag between my input and the game recognizing it, so the timer starts ticking down despite me already casting a spell, and I can't do anything. Typically the connection resolves within the span of the timer burning out, so it's a-ok.

  63. Chow Dimatingkal-avatar

It's a wonderful game. The artwork, animations and thematic design are superb and the only problem I have with it is the state of the meta. Players have to constantly adjust to the state of the meta in the game, and at times it can be frustrating when a deck in a certain meta becomes too overtuned

  64. Raymond Gonzalez-avatar

Game is amazing, story is amazing, everything about it is amazing its not pay to win unlike most games these days just a great strategy game with tons on lore to keep you coming back to learn more about this fantastic fantasy world. Months later and this game is still one of the best out there i have a galaxy s9+ my phone handles it well with minimal issues that are caused on my part due to me walking away from wifi range but even still if you refresh your app and launch again you'll be put back

  65. Carl James-avatar

Pros: Coming from mtg arena and I love all the mechanics changes (no lands, lasting combat damage, reaction based turns instead of all or nothing, card unlock rate allows you to build more than one deck at a time). And you can play on mobile! Cons: Oriented towards shorter games :-( Army, mana, life caps limit your lategame resources and insanely powerful finishers also end games faster than I'd like (limiting mid-lategame decision making). Feels simpler, almost like kid version for that reason?

  66. Edric Duenas-avatar

    Edric Duenas

Does not support region to region play. Region to region play would've been 5 stars. Also, it doesn't give you the option to switch regions or choose your region upon creating an account. It automatically places you to the region you are located so even if you try to create an account within the same region you get displaced anyway. If you have a friend at EU and you are at SEA you can't play 1v1. (What's the point of online card game if you can't play with friends worldwide). Great game thou.

  67. Dave Conzon-avatar

    Dave Conzon

Rated from 5 to 3. I already had it enough with the targon region, they're too op. And then the devs made it more op by adding that landmark thing. This is making me want to drop the game so bad. Please make it more balanced again. And also, updating the game requires a lot of time, like A LOT OF TIME.

  68. Reggie-avatar

Been playing LoR for a few months now. Really been enjoying the game so far. The meta grows stale from time to time, with everyone using the same top tier decks. But there's enough players and content creators that come up with really interesting decks. I didn't know any of the lore when I started but I love the card art and learning about regions. Generous rewards system too.

Pretty good game. Not to be biased becausei've playrd all three but among Gwent (new version) and Heartstone. RoT is the best in the card game type. Everything seems well balanced and while I havent played for thay long hence the 4 stars. I'll play more to give a final decision wether this deserves 5, to stay on 4, or go lower

  70. Daniel P-avatar

Started Hearthstone in the beginning, quit because of the p2w tilt, went to TesL (RIP) and this game is pretty good! It's has some nifty combos but isn't as complex as TesL. It's an overall good experience, polished graphics, good freebies, the stuff you can pay for is cosmetic so it's all good

  71. DarkNyr3-avatar

I had this game at 5 stars, then 3 stars. Now it's at 2. The reason for that is because I CANNOT LOG IN TO THE GAME. Every little update they do breaks the app and I can't even enter the game. Every time I try it says I have a internet connection issue, but I DON'T. My internet is fine. If this keeps happening I might just have to only play on pc. This game NEEDS to be optimized well for mobile or what's the point in playing it on mobile.

  72. Hamza Qurayshi-avatar

    Hamza Qurayshi

Some decks are way more powerful than others and there're barely any counters. And even then they're spread out between the regions so you can't counter them all. If you got nothing to do and your not competitive then go for it, if not then this isn't a game for you. It's basically like minesweeper, you learn to play and have lots of fun but once you've mastered it, it gets boring when you realise that you have to suffer through a 50/50 situation every now and then. And that's a big deal breaker

Amazing gameplay. Dedicated devs. Lots of content. But mobile app performance leaves a lot to be desired. With frequent patch updates, the update cycle is hell. It takes a long time to patch and update. Please streamline your app performance before bloating it with more content in the future.

A very good online card game. While you will never get to the top of the ranked ladder without money or insane grinding you can still be extremely competitive with no purchases using the level up system and wildcards. Only 4/5 for networking and connectivity issues and crashes.

  75. Slate Sempai-avatar

I enjoy the game and I play a lot of TCG games. Pros: Versatile play style. It is much more user friendly and usually pleasing to look at then hearthstone and I like hearthstone. Cons: Hard to obtain cards. (Takes a while its not "hard") Hard to socialize with community in game.

  76. Banji-avatar

The first fully digital ccg that captures the magic of interaction, and depth, of big name paper card games. On top of that, the in-game economy is on its own tier entirely. The devs are super communicative and receptive to feedback too. Plays perfectly on PC or mobile.

I just love everything about this game and how f2p friendly it is, sending huge thank you to the team at riot for their hard work in creating one of the best games to ever come out on any platform, and for making this year a bit more fun.

  78. Gary Koh-avatar

    Gary Koh

Graphics and idea is great. However, very bad development in terms of balancing the game. Every patch leads to the game being so saturated on a certain build due to it being imbalance. After awhile it just gets so boring facing the same OP build over and over again. Not gonna play this game until its balanced.

  79. Henrik Sørensen-avatar

I thoroughly enjoy Runeterra. I find the battle system fun and generally not frustrating - and being able to play it as F2P doesn't feel limited, even when not paying for anything. Good job, Riot! Ps. I also love that you're able to view all artwork in fullscreen mode. Such a simple feature but the payoff is great

  80. Michael Villanueva-avatar

This is much more fun than Magic the Gathering Arena! The design and pace of the game is where even suboptimal decks stand a good chance of winning or at least not giving the OP decks an easy win. Whereas in Magic rn any idea you might try that's other than the top meta decks is going to be stomped hard. I just hope going forward that Riot manages the power curve better than it's gone in Magic or Hearthstone(which I heard let things get crazy).

This game is truly a masterpiece. The interactions between cards and the champions that are utilized make this game worthwhile. The art work is on point and the gameplay is way way WAY then other card games I ever played including hearthstone. PLUS, all cards are free to obtain so all that needed is hours of experience.

  82. Lumber Jack-avatar

Fun to play, new expansion has came out and I have already full collection without spending any peny on cards,I only pay for boards , guardians and emotes... Meta is constantly evolving, there is not any broken combo that can kill u instantly. Interaction between cards on the other hands make the game so much cool. If u r f2p highly recommend to instal Man this single player lab was awesome.i hope they do more like this

  83. Ethan Cooper-avatar

Great system, good economy. Im happy to find a ccg that doesn't just feel outright predatory. It has no packs, you just get cards for doing stuff and advancing in the factions you want to advance in. Along with a dusting AND a wild card system, it's so easy to get cards you want just by playing, even as casual trash like me.

  84. AtlasHasFallen 21-avatar

So I have been playing a while and I would like to see a bit more board room when attacking, I like hericam and using shark chariots to overwhelm the opponent but the full setup fizzels out, I have made a way to get 6 Shark Chariots and 3 Hericam with six steeds but the whole thing wont play. Also I think if your opponent casts a slow spell you should be allowed to cast one as response.

Close parallels to MTG and Hearthstone, with enough unique elements to make it clear that this is it's own game. Combine with a consumer friendly F2P economy and tons of starter rewards to make deck building cheap and easy, and you've got a breath of fresh air in digital form! Miss vanilla Hearthstone? Think MTG standard is pure cancer? Tired of Blizzard / WotC draining your wallet with lootboxes and Walking Dead cash-grabs respectively? Give Legends of Runeterra a try!

  90. Izzy Pizzy-avatar

The only bad comment I can make about this game is tht the cosmetic items aren't really appealing for me to open my wallet for them, but otherwise everything is great. I've been f2p from the start and had no problems having fun.

not being bias for RIOT games and League of Legends but this game is really good. after reading some negative feedbacks, I still believe on that because they fix the problems of the game immediately. Good graphics, beginner friendly game, not a pay-to-win game and it's fun.

  93. Guillaume Picard-avatar

    Guillaume Picard

It is a great game, however the devs decided to buff a card in the worst way possible and now we are stuck with either playing the lee sin targon deck or just losing non stop since this deck outclasses every other deck. For a game that promotes deck variety this is an unacceptable state of balance and i strongly recommend to newcomers to stay away from this game until lee sin gets fixed.

  94. Pannawat Chaiyamart-avatar

    Pannawat Chaiyamart

This game used to be so balanced until Targon patch Targon has everthing, powerful late game champ, obliterate to counter them, spell shield to counter obliterate and then silence to counter spell shield. Why Targon is so powerful and why countering them also required Targon? Invoke deck is the worst deck to face with because it's easy to play and easy to go late game since Targon has Starshaping and you nerfed burn aggro also other early decks required luck we can't really beat them fast enough

  95. jake dwin-avatar

Great game. Always looking forward to future expansions, even though there were questionable rework (Lee Sin) 👀👀👀 I'm sure that y'all can fix it and make the game much better. So it's still a 5 star for me.

  96. Mary Grace Delfina-avatar

i like the look and feel of it. it's challenging, fun, and addictive. one thing i don't like is when a card's abilities takes effect just by being in a player's deck and not even in play is just unfair, i think.

  97. Jacob Seil-avatar

    Jacob Seil

Really fun, just a bummer that Riot joined the pay-to-win crowd. Most of us don't have enough time to play a million games and earn the cards that the rest buy in a few seconds. Really ruins the experience.

  98. Leonardo Diaz-avatar

    Leonardo Diaz

This game was fun until Targon became a thing, all of the targon dragon cards and demacia dragons are broken, I cannot play the game anymore because of that reason, I went from 5 stars to a 2 because of how broken the skill "Fury" is no to mention Targon cards have wayyyy more effects in the game than any other card, pretty much Riot again broke this game by those reasons, I don't think I will play this game for a bit because fury need to be removed. My cousin tried this game out and said same

  99. Johnny-avatar

Looks good, sounds good, very buggy. Unfortunately this card game is like every other virtual card game. If you want a fun enjoyable non-oppressive experience beyond a couple hours, then don't invest in this game. Dying in a dark souls game repeatedly is a less miserable experience, because it's up to your own skill.

I've been a long time player of Hearthstone and heard about this game when it came out. Wasn't too interested but decided to try it out and I'm so glad I did because LoR is the best, and I mean the BEST, mobile card game available right now. The game plays great, fantastic graphics, cool, and fun ways to play and customize your decks. The game is very generous towards new players and gives you a lot of opportunities to get more cards and rewards. LoR is definitely the go-to mobile card game.

Minor display problem, after queuing for a normal/ranked game, there is a overlapping of rank number. For example Gold IV there is an additional IV that overlaps it as though they are in parallel to each other. Overall the gameplay is 10/10.

  102. Roman Kim-avatar

Second review after playing a few months. The balance in the game is awesome and it's become more complex to be able to win at higher ranks. Regular updates and changes in the meta make it really entertaining.

The only thing I can find that's wrong is sometimes it grabs the wrong card if you grab directly from the right, however, I haven't had that problem when tapping the hand to bring it to the center of the screen

I play on mobile and server does disconnect but not often. Amazing game... each patch changes how the game is played and each region changes the meta. Hoping for a mode that allows 3 regions outside of singleton. The many different Labs is actually fun and you never know how it will play out. Current labs is probably my favorite, even more than Bestow.

Simple cosmetic items are priced in a way that makes you spend more then you need to, kinda a ripoff. I guess thats the norm nowadays but I still find it a disgusting tactic. As far as gamplay, its been keeping me entertained for the last week but I feel like, for deck building, its kinda pay-to-win. You do not get enough free cards to build fun new decks and everyone is using the same free cards which makes it repetitivly boreing after playing a vs. real people for too long.

The best card game I've ever played. Battles take more skill than MTG because you can make more deductions due to the limited card pool and the enemy's faction/champion info. You can play F2P and collect the cards you need for a top tier deck in reasonable time unlike Hearthstone. And the spell mana system allows for diverse playstyles which is probably the best part.

Targon is unbalanced, way too many ways to stall the game until they overrun you with celestials AND cast costly cards for free AND have spell shield so it's near impossible to remove them. I'm renouncing my 5 star and uninstalling. It was fun while it lasted...

No Quit Game option, asks for update then sends you to Google Play, download update and then just keeps you on loading screen forever while checking for updates. No way to skip animation for hero level up so it takes forever to finish match. Too slow, too annoying.

I like the game a lot, the concept is very good and card balance is well maintained. It's totally not "pay to win" which i liked about this game

This is the first time ive rated any game a 5 star, the game visuals is great, and the game play is simple yet complex, no pay to win here, but this lee sin balance patch really does tip the balance off

Just started and gosh, I love how fair this game is. This game is very much similar to Magic 2000s something. But anyway, this game is just too good to be true.

Great new mechanic for turns make the game a different challenge than some other card games. Great support with new heroes that keep the game fresh. One of my favorites!

Best tcg I've ever played. Not only do I not need to pay to keep up with card releases, but balance patches are frequent and the devs communicate/interact with the community on a refreshing level.

Good TCG experience with solid interactions and balanced gameplay. Would definitely recommend over most over TCG's that are similar. Easy to understand mana and turn system, and the F2P model isn't predatory.
