Set in the world of League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra is the strategy card game where skill, creativity, and cleverness determine your success. Choose your champions and combine cards from different regions—each with their own style and strategic advantage—then build the perfect deck to take down the rest.

ICONIC LEAGUE CHAMPIONS: Classic champs from League of Legends and brand new characters from the world of Runeterra come to life in vivid detail.

SKILL ABOVE ALL: It’s all about the choices you make and the risks you take. Every move matters and the outplays are all up to you.

YOUR CARDS, YOUR WAY: Earn cards for free as you play or buy exactly what you want—you’re in control of your collection, and you’ll never pay for random packs of cards.

CRAFT YOUR STRATEGY: Combine, adapt, and experiment with frequent new releases in an always-evolving meta.

EVERY ACTION HAS A REACTION: Dynamic, alternating gameplay means you can always react and counter—but so can your opponent.

FACE OFF WITH FRIENDS AND FOES: Battle friends for bragging rights, challenge foes in Ranked play, or embark on an Expedition and draft a deck as you go.

DISCOVER RUNETERRA: Explore the epic regions of Runeterra to reveal hidden connections between the denizens, dangers, and creatures that live there.

In Legends of Runeterra, you choose from 24 champion cards to include in your deck, each with a unique mechanic inspired by their original League of Legends abilities.

Champions enter the battle as powerful cards, and if you play smart, they level up to become even more epic.

Gain new abilities to crush your enemies. Turn the tide of battle with a swift combo. Even break the rules and claim a new way to win.

Champions are key cards to build your deck around, but to take down the enemy Nexus, you’re going to need a team. Pick allies that support your champ’s strategy to level up fast and take control of the board.

You have tons of supporting cards to choose from. You’ll encounter some familiar faces and discover completely new ones.

Every character and card in the game comes from a region of Runeterra. At launch, you have access to cards from six major regions: Demacia, Noxus, Freljord, Piltover & Zaun, Ionia, and the Shadow Isles.

Each region has a distinct playstyle and strategic advantage, but things get even more interesting when you combine cards from two different regions. There’s a deck for every personality and playstyle—but it’s up to you to find the right cards for your winning strategy.

The paths to victory are many. Get creative, because how you build your deck is completely up to you—and so is how you get your cards.

Legends of Runeterra is free to play. Victory or defeat, each battle brings experience and progress. Choose which region you explore first and unlock the cards that call to you, changing regions as often as you like. As you advance, you’ll collect new allies, spells, and champions—more than enough for multiple decks.

Once a week, you’ll also unlock chests from the Vault. These chests level up the more you play, increasing the rarity of cards inside from common all the way up to champion. They can also contain wildcards, which can be turned into any card you want—no guessing required. Experiment with an abundance of new cards to discover your playstyle and craft your strategy. As your collection grows, so do the possibilities.

Embark on Expeditions and draft a deck as you go, overcoming as many opponents as you can with an evolving set of cards.

Or truly test your skill by taking your strategy into Ranked, and see where you stand among the best players in Runeterra.

Where you go from here is up to you. From the champions to the combat, the regions to the reactions, every choice you make is a chance to be legendary.

I love this game. It takes a bit of time to build a deck, but once you have the deck you don't need to level it up or anything. The game gives you so many free cards that it can take about a week to have a deck playable (bc most decks take 6 champions, at least 1 of which you will get per week if you play) I think the game needs more of a microtransactional upgrade. The starter pack doesn't really cut it for me. Please do something about players waiting until the last second and then passing.

decks The game is just beyond well made, and I enjoy it quite a bit. The art is amazing, the gameplay and animations are excellent and the lore is just perfect. I recommend this to any fan of league of legends lore that had to quit or pause the game for any reason (there are many), but still wishes to enjoy a much more relaxed game with the same enviorment.

release This is the best digital card game on the market. Within a week of playing I could craft a meta deck. Within 6 months I had almost every card in the game. All of that without spending a single cent. The actual game itself is also adding with constant events, updates, balance patches, and expansions. If you like card games do yourself a favor and play LoR

download I'm no huge fan of card games, but this one not only grabs your attention with card interactions, but the story and cards overall with each play, each combo, each and every spell you'll cast you'll find some new voice line or amazing artwork on a level up you never knew existed. Makes me want to play just to find them all, keep up the great work, you guys!

reddit Uninstalling it, I played for a week there was no issue But right after I got the ashes deck, the application started showing connection issues and says it is unable to connect to the servers. Been like that for 2 days now. It's not just in my phone, I tried running it from the pc but shows the same pop up. There is no point anymore. Really like the game and now since I play any further, feels like a waste of time.

patch notes This is a good TCG but there are a number of things I hate. This game awards recklessness rather than thinking ahead. I know that the devs want the game to be fast paced but it ends up being a bland TCG. Second, there is little synergy to be made in creating a deck and the deck creation tool is so underdeveloped. Overall, this game is fun but these issues really annoy me.

mobile The experience of Legends of Runeterra is different from that of the League's Summoner's Rift, the latter of which I have decided to cease participation due to my own reason. I do, however, enjoy LoR, from time to time. If I may make a suggestion: Just like in the original League, can LoR have the option to always auto mute emojis at the start of a game? I make it a habit to do so manually because it's a personal policy of mine to not show emotion during competitive play:remember the human.

meta Great game, a little buggy. Its rough at first because you dont have a very large library of cards but over time if you do dailies you will have access to any card in the game and be able to make whatever you want for free. Somewhat buggy on my mobile device though. Sometimes it freezes mid match then stuff happens that doesnt even show up in the history tracker. Happens very often.

beta As someone else stated, it sucks you can't play single player modes offline. As far as gameplay goes this game is amazing! Awesome music on some of the boards, a decent amount of game modes to try as well as the graphics being nice. Lvl up animations could use will polish but are fine. I just think we need more ways to get cards that you may want or maybe wild select card for different rarities to pick a card that you may want. Overall one of the best mobile card games on the market.

  10. Vanatrix-avatar

mac Excellent design, F2P friendly, and satisfying to play. Every aspect of the game is brilliant. The one major issue I have persistently encountered are visual bugs. Spell icons not disappearing, speech icons also lingering, and units overlapping each other. These bugs disappear after a few moments, but they still exist. One thing I would edit is that champion level up FX often play over other VFX. This can be irritating. However, overall a near perfect game.

This game is both incredibly fun to play and very ftp friendly. As someone who has never played LoL I still love the characters and their interactions. The game is super flavorful, but the gameplay is even better. Not only is the game's meta pretty consistently balanced with only a few outliers, most cards in the game are viable at some level, meaning you can use your favorite champion or card without worrying about viability too much. I cant recommend it enough.

Just absolutely unacceptable for a company as established as Riot to not be prepared for an increase in players around the anniversary. I downloaded the game 2 days ago and have tried to log in at least 10 times a day and gotten 170000 errors every time. I am just trying to see if I evenike this game but if Riot can't get it together I guess I'll just go play someone else's game....

Fun game, very good at guiding you through the mechanics while including familiar mechanics if you've played MtG or Hearthstone. The champion interactions are a bit annoying. You can turn off the sound in the settings but I wish I could turn off the interactions all together. I haven't played very long but am encouraged to keep trying it out because of the rewards offered consistently.

  14. Ronan Hobbs-avatar

    Ronan Hobbs

I love the graphics, the game play is similar to league with the mechanics which is really cool. The game is very balanced right now, so you can come out with wins even if you were losing. Overall I highly recommend this game to those people who like a game that never gets boring and keeps everyone who plays it interested.

  15. Ariel Perez-avatar

    Ariel Perez

There are so many different ways to defeat you opponent! So many cards to obtain; it's beginner's tutorial is very through to make the player understand how to play the cards and to understand their "key" word(s). The game isn't money hungry either, if you play casusually you'll still get a handfull of cards weekly from the weekly rewards! Can't go wrong with this game.

  16. David Arnold-avatar

    David Arnold

This is a really awesome game and gets better with each expansion release. It takes the best from MTG and Hearthstone and rolls it all together into a game that is easy to learn, but hard to master. Their free-to-play model really makes the game easy to get into. I highly recommend it to anyone I talk to. Keep up the great work Riot.

  17. Azure Flame-avatar

    Azure Flame

On one hand the game is fun, addictive even, and I rage on it as much as I love it. HOWEVER, on smartphone the game randomly freezes while I'm fighting an opponent, and I know my connection is fine, but the time passes and sometimes I lose stupidly because AS THE GAME FREEZES, the wait limit still hits and it's insanely frustrating. Also for some reason I can't sign in with Google to the desktop version, unexplained and unfixable error.

  18. League Lore Indonesia-avatar

    League Lore Indonesia

Through my experience, I got pissed at first week of playing because I keep running on freaking OP decks that time (TF FIZZ). And now, as the developer really well maintained the balance, fixed some bugs, giving bonuses to new players, and creating super FUN Lab run. Now I would say that THIS IS VERY GREAT CARD GAME AND (fairly) FUN TO PLAY. Good Job, Rito...

  19. Rey Seah-avatar

    Rey Seah

Great game. Extremely budget friendly, unlike most other card games. I can build good decks within a couple of weeks without having to spend money. Gameplay is enjoyable and the visual effects are not only great but getting better. Developers are also communicative with the playerbase, which is so rare.

  20. Eithan Tipton-avatar

    Eithan Tipton

Love the game, never had any issues with drawing too many spells or whatever I guess others are just unlucky and venting if you build your deck right it is impossible to draw too many of one type of card, I find the strategy is very nice, and the character interaction is very cool, some of the champions are a little over powered, but they are champions! I love the mixture of luck and skill you need to play it,

  21. Jaiden McBride-avatar

    Jaiden McBride

I played Hearthstone for years. This game offers all the same upside in terms of fun but carries none of the headaches. It's balanced, fun, great for F2P and doesn't force me to have to grind or shell out tons of money to stay current with the Meta. RIP Hearthstone haven't logged in 6 months. Blizzard please take notes you are offering an inferior product.

  22. Timothy Williams-avatar

    Timothy Williams

It's a fun experience, but there are a few issues. The single player modes cannot be played offline. There are frequent connectivity issues. In the single-player more "lab of legends", a disconnect ends your run and you're forced to start from the beginning. The game will attempt to reconnect, but fails every time. I've encountered a few instances of "weird gameplay" in pvp. I'm not sure if it was cheating, and Riot never responded to my ticket. The game is fun regardless.

  23. joe marino-avatar

The game itself is great. But if you have a cheap android play on a computer or tablet. Even at the lowest quality and resolution the game is almost unplayable. It constantly freazes and the animations are unbearably slow. Would love it if they had a animation free mode or cpu saver mode. Until then ill be playing it on PC.

  24. Cameron Petzoldt-avatar

    Cameron Petzoldt

As far as mobile CCGs go, this has to be one of if not the most fair as far as getting cards for free. There are also a ton of different game modes, so if PvP isn't your thing, you're still covered with the multiple single player modes available. The champion cards are all super interesting and make the decks all play quite different from each other. Honestly, this game far exceeded my expectations. I assumed this was just a cash grab, but I actually prefer this to a certain other card game.

  25. Ramanand-avatar

Game is all good and fun but I literally lost many games as the game gets stuck all of the shudden which forces me to restart the game and loose few rounds. I'm using wifi but still I'm having a connection issue. And with recent update lvl up animations are big laggy, it used to be fine in previous patches. Pls try to fix these issues riot. Overall the game is great and had a very good experience with it 🙂

  26. 1Mysfit-avatar

It's okay. It is the phone game I probly play the most and enjoy the characters the non-legend cards add to the world Riot are building. Cards are easy to acquire without spending moolah and the cosmetic stuff you can buy looks snazzy. The addition of new and rewarding single-player stuff is nice. The limit on 2 areas for normal decks does make it clear what to expect from an opponent and the newer decks are hard-to-impossible to counter. Worth a look for lovers of card games or lol.

  27. Dasha-avatar

It's a fun game and I love it but it would be grate if the special event stickers would still be available in the store afterwards at some point. So that if you didn't play the game before a certain event, you still don't miss out on the cool sticker of your favorite champion. Please consider it riot=)

  28. Devin-avatar

I've been playing this game nearly daily since before the official release and it's a great game all around. The audio and visuals are phenomenal, the balance team is passionate, and I've never felt pressured into putting money into the game. Barring $3 to complete a deck right after an expansion came out, I haven't spent a penny on anything but cosmetics but I've gotten 98% of the collection and it's never really felt like a grind to get to the new deck I want to try out even on release!

  29. Errick Vongchan-avatar

    Errick Vongchan

Great card game that lets me control blocking unlike certain others of ita kind. The instant spells allow for reactive gameplay, so each win and loss are my responsibility. Also if you enjoy league of legends, you'll love the easter eggs and interaction between cards. Minor downside is the lack of organizing my decks. Also very free2play friendly but i intend to invest just to support them.

I have played a lot of online card games, and this is by far my favorite. Unlike most card games I have not had to spend any money on buying cards. I have been playing pretty casually from launch, and own every card in the game. Ionia is fairly useless, buy other than that the variety of deck types I've made and had fun with are good. The lab game modes and expeditions keep things interesting for those who don't have many cards yet.

  31. Andrius Zalitis-avatar

This is, by far, my favorite card game right now. The game is just of a quality level no others can compare: design, art , interactions between cards and voice-acting are all top knotch. Oh and champion level up animations are just a cherry on top. Also, it does not require you to pump money in (I spent some, but only on cosmetics that dont impact the games) and you will, quite quickly, be able to have all the cards and get creative with deck building.

  32. Tsuu-avatar

I like it. SOOOOO much less RNG than hearthstone & FAR more balanced. Less instant kill spells. Units stay on the board for more than 1 round. Champions offer interesting units its to build your deck around. Champion combos are VERY fun & make the game what it is. Also by far the easiest CCG to get into. Its VERY generous time/rewards wise. It throws cards at you non stop. Wildcards are a godsend, letting you craft what you want to. Negatives - Not as many meta changes as there could be.

  33. løkii-avatar

Very free-to-play friendly and easy to learn. The art is beautiful and board music is great. The game updates often with interesting changes to the mechanics and even has fun and varied single-player modes in the labs. I honestly think it's the best digital ccg on the market right now. I have left a review and the game is very good :) please remove the pop-up to leave a review in-game after I have left one already.

  34. Blest Garage-avatar

    Blest Garage

Great game, can be reasonably competitive without paying for the latest cards. However when new cards are released just like new characters in League of Legends, they are overpowered to encourage people to buy them. However they eventually get nerfed, usually when new cards are about to come out - it's the Riot games cycle

  35. Marcos Gutierrez-avatar

    Marcos Gutierrez

To be honest I didn't expect much with the game I'm a big fan of LOL. But this game incredible the way to get cards is more than fair and you earn them in game. making the main things to spend on to be just skins. There are very few free to play games that respect your time and money. The other very strong part of the game is how the mecánics and the animations are waaaay better than they have to be this isn't a simple cash grab using the IP this is a legit game

  36. Rhys Bartlett-avatar

    Rhys Bartlett

If you have the money to buy LoR's two champion cards aphelios and twisted fate along with their complementary cards out of the gate, then by all means have a field day enjoying the carefully crafted and maintained gameplay. The "computers" that you play against in ranked play oddly different cards but don't worry they are easy to beat, and don't worry about how one sided it can feel. Those "computers" are there to enhance your enjoyment and are irrelevant to the game as a whole.

  37. Five Five-avatar

    Five Five

I love this game. Truly free to play with options to catch up to other players, not get ahead by spending ridiculous amounts of money. Ill spend money on cosmetic stuff just to support riot. I love the dialog interactions. Lab of legends is something I cannot get enough of. This game is EVERYTHING I've wanted in a ccg. Please never let this game die.

  38. 謙志山葵-avatar

I don't want to do this, but I have to lower my review due to my depressing experience in lab of legends section. It seems fun, but the heavily rigged deck is so hard to ignore. I guess if I was a stupid person I might somehow oversee that but, no, I can clearly see how the game feed me next card and enemy card to rig my progress. As you know the fun of this game is that no single deck have 100% winning chance, but they'd rather ruin all the fun.

  39. Kyle Macdougall-avatar

    Kyle Macdougall

As a seasoned card game player, digital and otherwise, this is the best card game on the market right now. Such a wonderful fun game with amazing lore. Just to suggest important tweaks: First, the card borders and styles need serious updating. They look tackey and you can't delineate between different factions well enough. Secondly, some animations are broken as they contain blocks and lines from where the cards spin, etc. Would go on but cant, so i wish the team all the best, great game!

  40. felco64-avatar

I loved League and started playing this when it came out... It didnt catch my attention and i went a while not playing it, but its captuered my attention all over again almost like a old school league feel. Waiting for the next champion to drop, or the next new system to drop or something that adds to a feature already in place. I never seen myself enjoying this game, but now with more options and diversity and wanting to screw around with different things has me playing it every day!

  41. Mel Pfitzner-avatar

    Mel Pfitzner

My overall experience with this game is fantastic, and I enjoy the game immensely. The gameplay is engaging, factions and champion playstyles are creative and feature endless combinations with unique synergies. Cosmetics and event passes are the only things that you really have to pay for, making free to play choices a realistic possibility as long as you're willing to grind matches for your cards.

  42. Ethan Unland-avatar

    Ethan Unland

I'm purely a free to play player. I spent the first month figuring out the game, and building up resources. I'd say that's necessary because it gets expensive to buy cards so when you do committ to a deck you have to committ all your resources. Weekly Thursday chests and your deck milestones are you primary income of cards. Have fun with it and don't force trying to be the best. People who have paid can get the cards they want straight away. Free to play can too just take a bit.

  43. Anthony Diminutto-avatar

    Anthony Diminutto

Not as good as mtg. Mid range dose not exist in this game its eather agro or control or your inting. Deck variety dose not exist in ranked i hope you like playing against the same 3 decks over and over and over. It dose have a good free to play modle and I like that there is a limit to epics(champions) that you can have makes the game feel less pay to win.

  44. Lei Zhang-avatar

Really nice card game with lots of different play styles and mechanics to win. Great combos, hopefully there will be more to discover. The game did not save my info so when I uninstall and reinstall the game, I had to pretty much start over.

There's still bugs and even new bugs. Yes, you read it right. 1. You will stuck when accepting invites in the middle of building a deck. 2. The upgrade video becomes laggy especially for shurimans. The "please rate us" keeps appearing, I already rated you four times now. And it still appears. What else do you want me to rate??? I play in mobile. OPPO A57

Best graphics. Sometimes crash. Exciting game. Area to improve world chat and custom game for friends to friends duel. Must have banning system in ranked mode and custom game for fair gaming so unfair for old card users. New cards are destructive and powerful. Hopefully you read this I have headache thinking how to overcome new cards with extra damage in nexus. God bless. God speed.

Riot Games did a great job with this card game! The only complaint I have is that after a certain point, there isn't much to work towards. That isn't the point of the game, I know, but the challenges and daily quests are what keep me coming back! EDIT: After playing this game for a while now, there is plenty of things they've added to keep you entertained for as long as you want. One of the best digital card games around!

I love the game and think is the most skill testing card game that I ever played, there are just so many decision points making the game really really high ceiling. When I get started in the game I love it immediately then with time lost the intrest and left it, hating myself cause I knew this was a great game and don't understand why couldn't enjoy it. Now that I came back something did click on me and suddenly started understanding it at other level which makes the expirience so enjoyable.

Best card game ever. We can get all the cards without any purchase, so it's not pay to win like any other card games. We get rewarded for playing, not too much grinding. Paid content only for cosmetics, not affecting our skills or any cards gameplay. Great graphic with awesome animation and stylish artwork, simple but yet strategically complex gameplay, catchy music and sound effects, also voice interaction plus description for every cards makes lore of each characters in card worth to explore.

Great game but I had a problem finding players in labs, but when I do, I sometimes face an AI with the name Iamnotabot(ai). I was surprised with how unfair the rng was during the times I fought the same ai. I was surprised that he gets an overpowered card like celestial drag and I get underpowered and kept getting countered like my defeat was already set on stone. I was like "WITAF is happening?!", during the times I faced that damn AI.

Deep, competitive, & FTP-friendly card game. The reward system allows you to craft ANY deck that you want quickly & be competitive with the best players immediately. You can win with a wide variety of decks & play styles. Devs make balance changes frequently & are in constant communication with the community. New cards/regions are released frequently to keep things fresh & add new content. If you enjoy card games & strategy, you will LOVE this game.

This game won't make u grind tirelessly or spend lots of money just to get your desired cards. You can create decks by mixing cards from upto two regions , every region has intended playstyle and sub playstyle .So there is lot of room for getting creative with mixing and matching for making fun decks . Things like how each round works (attack token, spells 'speed' ) etc feels unintuitive for the new player , but once you get the hold of it you can appreciate the depth that it adds to the game.

Excelente game! Congratulations! You made it again! The rewards systems is outstanding. Loving it so far. Update: From 5 to 3. Still love the game and I am thankful for the great job; still, I have some complains: 1) My octubre the 1rst vault, simply vanished, after a long waiting at opening it. Favorite card game atm. Played years of Hearthstone and MTG. This game is very fun and extremely satisfying when you execute great plays. The animations for the Champs are great. Collecting cards is very satisfying as well. To date, there is no rotation. There are reward paths to acquire new cards and materials to help complete your collection. Great model. Thx Riot.

Legends of Runeterra probably has the best free to play models for CCGs right now. The quests are quite easy to accomplish and the cards are very easy to get. I like its style of complexity, smoothness of gameplay, cohesive lore and the fact that it has some poker aspects to it such as bluffing.

The game is awesome, the graphics, strategies, and everything else and deserves 5* but after the last update the game is constantly crashing due to internet connection and can't reconnect (I'm still playing in the same wifi I was using before the update). When this happens I lost the match and loose rank points :(. When this issue got fixed I came back and gladly update the review to 5* cuz I loved the game!

Such a good card builder game! Riot's characters and art meshes wonderfully with all the unique card factions in this game. There is actually no pay-to-win whatsoever, which was the biggest plus for me personally. You can get most of the cards by just playing.

Great card game similar to hearthstone and mtg, but still quite unique. It is also very free to play friendly with plenty of singleplayer and co-op options as well with the various labs they've introduced. All around a great experience for anyone who enjoys card games.

Excellent game. Easy to earn cards without spending real money. Best in game currency feature of any card game. Looks and plays outstandingly. Also has a lot of options for game play with normal or ranked, expedition, gauntlet, AI, or multiple labs. (No banned or limited cards.....as of yet). Riot hit this one out of the park.

  61. Deano-avatar

Very great and addictive game, however please fix the choice section aspect of the lab of legends. It needs to be clearer in what choice for card and effect you have chosen. In addition, on multiple occasions (for the card chosen) I choose one card and find out I have been given another. Please fix this as it has ruined multiple runs for me and destroys the experience. Will update review to 5 stars on fix. Edit: fixed in latest patch thank you

I love this game its league but without the toxic people and hand on combat thst leaves you with Strategie. Its way better than hearthstone cause you get so much free stuff just from playing. It may look like the average card game but it truely resembles a game as chess. Only here you can choose which chess piesces you play with. Making your own decks you need to think of howto use each card, how many of them you need and if its crucial for you winning. Love this game and it makes me happy.

Has good potential but burst spells are kind of a dumb mechanic. They make up so many cards in the game and you can't respond to them. I dont think that's cool or interesting design, you're just gatekeeping potential from players to make really cool split second decisions. I feel like Magic: The Gathering was so popular because almost all spells could be responded to. It's not really cool to just get frostbitten in combat without being able to respond, it just happens and I get to just lose that

First off I'll say the game is fun and beautiful and the first two days were fun going on day three put up against nothing but decks that have what looks to be a lot of money in them in a comparison with League of Legends it's like putting a bronze player versus a platinum player or better especially when all I have more or less is the basic starter decks/legends only won a single ranked game and even normal play get put up against what I believe to be $100 decks so bc of match making it gets 2*

The best card game I have played so far. I have experience with Hearthstone, Gwent, Pokémon TCGO and a few others. Legends of Runeterra is in my opinion more viable for competitive play, it has beautiful art and graphics, has very dynamic gameplay, but what I really appreciate is the possibility to get all cards without spending money, just by playing. It may by possible in other card games but it is much harder.

  66. Mark Fuentes-avatar

Real Play to win, I've collected all the cards from all regions just by playing. Very challenging game, it's not about luck, who's gonna get the good cards depends on how you build your deck. Well, its a bit hard to get out of platinum rank though. . . it's really a great game. Keep up on your expansion.

This game is the epitome of who Riot is. It's almost 5 star. They began this tradition with League of Legends. They look at the games that are out there that are similar to the game they are going to make, they look at the comments, the complaints, and they take those into account to make a truly fantastic game concept. Unfortunately, with both LOL and now LOR, they are incapable of and unwilling to balance. If every new champion or region that comes out is broken, they make more money.

Very f2p friendly compared to most card games I've played, even if you just play casually a few times a week. There are tons of synergies and combos to explore and the generous rewards actually let you experiment and play multiple decks. My only major complaint is that the variety of modes is limited. Even events are just extra rewards and quests attached to all your matches. More singleplayer adventure content with fun thematic twists would make events feel more eventful.

The mechanics of the game and champion cards are awesome ! The team who worked on this game put a lot of love into designing the cards as well as very unique and interesting dialogues between the cards when played ! I couldn't help but laugh when I heard the Katarina against Garen dialogue! The team worked on this not only bake in a lot of great and clever easter eggs and goodies as we as unique interactions and cards ! The progression system is also very rewarding with great rewards! Absolutely loved league of legends, but given the hard grind that game gave when I started back in season 2, this game just requires you to spend about 2 weeks and you can get your desired deck of choice. Absolutely no grind needed and as of my 4th week playing, I can play more than three competitive decks, something other CCG couldnt do without paying. Also don't listen to that review that says this game is RNG. His complaint is just the nature of all card games and LoR is also one of them.

Game is very reminiscent of mtg arena. You are restricted by what cards you get till you can build a good deck and that means playing against the ai which almost always has the answer to everything that you can do. Good time wasting but you will leave frustrated and raging from this game.

Much friendlier to solo players since my initial review, and in fun ways too so I'm upping my score. There are still a few things you either miss out on or have to work harder to get if you dont play pvp, but now almost everything can be done for either sort of player, and the new content is just as high quality as the original stuff, if not better. Good job Riot! And thank you for not leaving us solo players in the dust like most card games do!

Great game needs void based characters now. I recommend adding a new 2 new key words predator and prey. Predators evolve if they kill prey with an effect eg kahzix. Prey can have the ability to evolve into a predator if they are not attacked with in rounds stated. Of course that's an eg for a void based deck that could revolve around deck diving and evolution of champions. I also feel that the prophecy cards need a limit for how long they can be held out they are rather annoying

  75. Fyubi-avatar

This game is amazing, I easily got addicted to it and now I can't stop playing, the characters are awesome, the gameplay is amazing and captivating, and the rewards are very good, you can easily get your dream deck and start fighting, of course, like in any game, the rng you get in the cards is well, rng, you never know when you get a good or bad card, but if you make the perfect deck you'll have nothing to worry about

  76. Daniel Wood-avatar

Fun game but your matches live or die based on the cards the game draws from your deck each round. Update: great game but gate keeping is rampant when you start to reach the higher ranks. Thing's like players with multiple accounts using exact counter decks or it could be cheating and they can see who they are up against. Update: don't bother with ranking people are somehow predicting the deck you are using and counter accordingly

Youre not going to find a better TCG out there. Thrilling lores of each card with outstanding art work combined with deep strategic deck building calls for hours of gameplay. The game update with new events and ways to play quite frequently so youd never be bored. More importantly? Free. You win random cards via the vast play modes like Lab and Gauntlet or specific cards from the Region you choose to "explore". Looking for a deeper level of deck building and strategy? Youre in the right place.

The shirima faction is really fun to play. I think the older champions level up animation should be brought up to there amazing quality. You get to enjoy the characters from league but without the stress from people in a match or the long time commitment of some matches.

My main complaint is that in AI games (and ESPECIALLY Labs) 9 times out of 10 if the AI has the upper hand and you play a card that will set you up to win, the AI miraculously has a kill card ready to go the instant you play it. Several times.

From a master's level player who started out as a regular silver dude with little knowledge - this game is fun and rewards your investment. It rewards time spent with generous free cards (I own every champion f2p, only buying cosmetics). It rewards thoughtfulness as the harder decks have much higher win rates at high ranks - showing games are much more than coinflips. The casual modes are fun too. If you like card games, you'll probably have fun!

Love card game this one is really well thought out and the visual effects are nice addition..after investigating more time and resources into this I'm beginning to see a pattern of just ridiculous cards that are so op I'm wondering were the developers serious when making some these cards and special ability some are so cheap and op and unless u want bill pretty much same deck like most ppl ie little to no variety it gets redundant fast lab's are great because it's random and skill actually ..

I'm a fan of card games. I've been playing MTG since 1994 and I enjoyed every minute I played it with friends. Hearthstone came out and I enjoyed it more just because I can enjoy the game at the comfort of my home (or anywhere). I just hated the extreme dependence on RNG. LoR came out and I'm excited to see unique mechanics and in-game interaction that isn't in other CCGs. There are cards that are RNG-heavy that I feel like LoR doesn't need but I still love the game overall.

Can be a fun game, watching a combo come together is very satisfying. However, about half the time you'll run into decks where the only counter play is to stack as many removal spells as possible into your own deck. Sometimes a No deck is fun but it shouldn't be needed so much. Animations are great, games run with little issue otherwise.

Playing this for a year now and this is the best card game hands down. No pay to win garbage nonsense like hearthstone. If you want to play competing in Hearthstone, hope you have plenty of cash to throw away unlike here, you can keep up with the meta. Not to mention that they don't remove older cards like in magic, where a set of cards would be illegal to use, forcing players to abandon their favorite decks in favor for the newer card sets

  85. A L-avatar

It's a great card game currently that allows for fast accumulation of cards. It mainly runs on a cosmetic funding system rather than a pay to win system, but card accumulation can take time if you're a new player. But again the card accumulation is currently fast.

Not liking Nab. I really am tired of expedition mode. Events could be a little longer. I feel forced to play competitively every day. I wish there was alternative routes for rewads. In general, I think the game should reward (equaly/almost) pve/pvp/casual players. Also, with all these graphics/animations the game is becoming too consuming on my weak mobile. Please do keep in mind f2p casual mobile players; add more quality of life stuff & less new cards for a while. Much love.

Great game, nice animation, good monetization, and a good dev team always delivering. Great Balance Patch. The game got a lot better meta is healthy and devs changed cards which were bad design wise to a more healthier version. Maybe they got nerfed too much by this but they should give these cards power elsewhere instead. Also Ionia still needs some work, maybe a Rework to stun/recall and elusives archetype. There are still many cards in the region without a home.

I lovee this strategy game but there is a problem this is my opinion if u can raise up the health of 1 cost champion because it can easily die when a enemy using a 1 damage drain spell. ✌️ Or region card back ex(when you put demacia region card there is a chance that you draw a demacian champion in early round) just like that 😁

  89. Paulo Seph-avatar

    Paulo Seph

The game really insist on a feedback. So here it goes an edit. Game is still unbalanced, heroes that should be nerfed are improved, and some overpowered abilities and cards (some can be played very early in the game) simply makr the match a one sided slaughter, with no chance of turning it. Also, very often some idiots decide that they will wait for their time bar to get very close to the end before acting, as they know there is no punishment for that. Offline and lab modes are OK, though.

  90. Solid_Fox354-avatar

Not a really pay to win game ( to get all card collections ), which is pretty good unlike other card game, with many wild cards ( redeemable card that can be use to redeem card per tier ) from chest, that can be farmed cassually; Alone, make this game is great. One of the differences from other card game, is that this game turn is more reactive, which makes u have to remembering all reactive opponent card to stabilize board state. Overall its good.

Gameplay is interactive, doesn't feel unfair/cheap if you lose. Deck building is intuitive. Most of all the reward system is satisfying. Very free to play. You get plenty of cards and decks you can choose from. You get a lot of material to craft cards that you don't have. The game was nearly good. But man... Sometimes it was so irritating. It seems like the game doesn't shuffle the deck. I keep getting the same card each round, sometimes I only has spells on my hand... 7 spells..... I know this was card game (which means it has a gambling feature), it could also be me who doesn't arrange the deck well, but don't make this happened everytime. Plz..... It was irritating.

From 1 star (noxuz pz burn meta) to 4 stars (kda event).. and now to re-evaluate my review.. So currently, aside from the meta problem (which all games have), my only concern is the rank system.. It's really not that fair.. Matching up with 500 lp above you and WINNING the game just to get a FIXED 20 LP.. there's no reward for beating a player far above your current rank.. it's really frustrating.. Updating my review to 4 stars since I realize a cosmetic bug glitch isn't worth a whole star. However, I have discovered that a very important feature doesn't exist in this game. You can't let your friends play the decks you've made. Makes it really hard to get friends to want to play the game if I have all these good decks when they only have starters. I really know nothing about card games. I just love how engaging and satisfying the game is. I also love how this is basically about the lore of the whole League-verse. Love it, Riot.

For anyone who knows the PC game: it's just a little difficult to see your hand and act quickly or precisely. For everyone else: it's a Yu-Gi-Oh/MTG/ Hearthstone version of League of Legends by Riot Games. Every match works towards rewards: it is free to play (pay to jump ahead). You can go against AI, PvP, or try their ranked mode. Took 5% of a Galaxy S8 battery for 20 rounds on lowest graphics. Update: Riot's balance team is still awful with math.

keep asking for a review is really annoying, please stop that. anyways the game is good, really f2p friendly but you gotta grind some exp thou, but its okey no paylock cards except some cosmetics and some rewards in the event tab. so its a 4 star, -1 for the annoying "give us a review"

This a very fun game with lots of different cards to learn. You can play against other people or AI. You complete challenges and earn rewards. Overall, a very entertaining game.

I preregistered for this game hoping for something fun, and what came out was a game that was not beginner friendly so gave it a few months to see if anything has improved. Sadly that is not the case , it feel like I'm far behind even the AI opponents.

Really well balanced matching system. Quick pvp matchmaking. Animation is dopeon some of the Champs but not all. Cards effects are decently balanced, obviously some kinks to work out. Overall really enjoyable game.

Add kled as a card. I have him figured out. Quick attack like his w. And 7 power with 3 health. Then when he does alot of damage(21), he levels up by getting scarl and gets challenger, 8 power, 7 health. When he dies he instead de-levels and needs to do damage again to level up. If you want to tack it a step farther he gives Noxian allies a quick attack buff when he levels up because if his ultimate in lol.

Initially played this as an alternative for MTG, but I would surely play this even if WOTC release a mobile version. It's not pay to win and rewards its players generously. 10/10, would recommend. Be part of the rapidly increasing community!

Have never played the early Warhammer games tbh to make a fair comparison, but coming to this with a fresh perspective, the art is really good, and the UI is not clunky. That said, the dialogue box can be too wordy and intimidating though. Get an editor, trim the fat, and make reading less of a chore. Also, the character's running movement could be improved. It feels unheroic, awkward and unrealistic, as if he/she isn't putting any weight on the ground.

Early it came off as a convoluted mishmash of the big ccg titles and didn't really stand out. Even now, in its most unfun state balance wise, it's the most engaging of the big 3 ccgs. I hate that I like a riot game but they've really found their niche.

As a user and player of MTG Arena, I can say that Legends of Runeterra is far more fair in card design and gameplay. The economy is downright friendly for new and veteran users, and buying cards you wa t is a huge upside to arena and Elder scrolls legends. EDIT: Game was good, but then became a combo based format that no longer focuses on actual gameplay

Perfectly optimized mobile version of the game. Highly recommend anyone on the ropes if you have played it on PC. Cards can be earned for free and is the most generous card game I have played to date. The art is also incredible.

Best free card game right now. Love how champions here are incorporated. Graphics are awesome, no lag, little wait time, great game play and you can build decks for free. Good job.

Extremely fun cards and extremely free to play friendly! You can buy the individual cards you want so you can get a good deck very quickly, then try out a bunch of other decks very frequently.

Alright lads, this might be IT, the best free to play game you could ask for, the more you play the more rewarding it is, i ve played since release, after 2months of playing during my transit to work, I literally had all the cards in the game with 0$, they of course are releasing new ones periodically, which is great as well, to be honest, it is the first game I was more than happy to spend money on cosmetics in without feeling like I m getting scammed, just to thank the devs for such hardwork

It's an excellent game. It would be better if you could block Mushroom Cloud spammers and report players who are constantly roping. Flora is too OP as well, but she's manageable.

only lost a star because i want SOMETHING for having it linked to a league account with over a thousand dollars spent....but fr, amazing game. it'll be my new thing till I get burnt out and go back to HS bg's....but pretty perfect for having like 15 mins to kill at work

The meta-game is diverse enough at the moment, so the game is really enjoyable. I would give it 5 stars but the developers are kinda slow on fixing clearly broken cards (latest example was tf/fizz, which had been beating every other deck for 5 months straight, it was the only deck in top rankings).

If I had to describe this game imagine if you took magic the gathering and made it into a heartstone playstyle and you would have this game, I've only played it on the pc so maybe the mobile version is majorly different but if not then it's a solid game
