    The app is not bad but you can't change the currency of your wallet once you have used one credit card. If you want to use another card from a different country u will be stuck with the currency of the first one, which makes u lose money in currency transfer. The service is very good but limes may not appear in your neighbourhood all of a sudden for months. This happened to me here in Budapest and I keep reporting it and it does not get fixed, no limes are available in my neighbourhood anymore

    This is a terribly designed app, to the point that it feels on purpose to get a little extra money out of you. 1. No instructions when you open the app on how to use it. 2. Scanning the scooter kept returning me to the main screen with no error message so I had no idea what I was doing wrong. 3. Once I figured out it was because my Wallet was empty, I loaded $15, thinking I was getting the day pass/price. 4. I paused my scooter at one point, but once again, it got stuck on 'Unlocking' with no error message as to what was wrong (this is when I clued in I did not choose the day pass, because my wallet was empty again). (5. Turns out the day pass option is under an entirely different area than My Wallet!) 6. I then purchased the day pass, but in fine print it says after 30mins it starts charging by the minute. WHY IS THIS IN FINE PRINT?!?! 7. What's the point of loading my wallet in the first place if it can just auto-load whatever funds it needs with no warning or approval from me if I go over?? 8. I contacted the Lime help team who refunded the latter $15, but in the end, I was still charged $34 total b/c I didn't know I was initially running my scooter per the minute OR that it auto-loaded extra funds, when it was my intent - as a first-time excited rider - to buy the day pass all along. There is no excuse for such a bad app design.

    Kept freezing once I tried scanning the photo, had to restart my phone and then the bike would say scan to ride but when I scanned the barcode eventually it said bike is unavailable. It still shows on the map that it was available. This happened to me twice in the one day. I uninstalled the app and re installed it. Same thing.

    Super lame, would give it 0 but playstore wouldn't allow me. You can ride for almost an euro per km in a hyper limited area and when entering red you don't even get a warning. Then the app's map doesn't take regulations into account "hey bro, you just crossed that huge ass boulevard by inertia, too bad, you must go back, cmon just run across the street or no probs, walk around 10 mins while carrying that piece of junk with you, yes that's a good slave, toil for your masters"

    The one star is because it was fun in the beggining. Then it just stopped randomly we weren't in the red zone or anything. It started working again randomly after 5 minutes. After we wanted to leave it, it would not lock anywhere. Most of the time we spent with the scooters were walking it trying to find somewhere to lock it. That whole lock situation was most of the money. It came out as $33 for a 40 min right when really is was like 25 minutes the rest was the bikes not working or struggling.

    I scanned multiple scooters (and manually entered the barcode), the app would load, then revert back to the map. I reinstalled the app. Same problem. Does not unlock the scooter. Horrible service. I'm going to look the the other competitors here in Calgary. Update: I did as requested by lime below and tested again, still does NOT unlock the scooter. It's wasting so much time.

    I downloaded the app I had a very important appointment I needed to be at and the lime share scooter was at that time my only option.. I signed in. Got my verification code. However when I put my credit card number in it tells me payment failed. And there is well over enough money on my card so I can pay for a freaking ride. I feel let down and it was the biggest important day for me and I failed because the stupid app wouldn't take my payment. VERY LET DOWN..

    Spent extra time trying to unlock other scooters and failing. Constant "unlocking" messages. Didn't know about day pass, instead very expensive 50 minutes of riding. No warning when leaving to check battery levels, ended up running one out before returning. Terribly buggy and poorly written app.

    They have an auto-reload option automatically installed in, so 1 day of riding on, thinking I have only $15 on the account cost me $120 for not even riding that much without even realizing, which is really stupid and sneaky of them... I think this being there as convenience option is a great idea! But automatically installed for all the new users not knowing much how the app works is sneaky AF... I don't usually write bad reviews like this but this one really triggered me off...

    To be honest, I had plans to download and use this app here in Busan. Prior to using something I like to read people comment one-two to learn about their experience. Without any doubt I AM GONNA BE OKAY WITHOUT THIS LAME. Idea of moving around faster, especially when you're a tourist and there's so much to see and to do, definitely gratify me. However after reading all these comments. Guys there're not even single positive one ㅠㅠ I don't have any desire to use it. I am sorry. Pity managers ...

    Downloaded this at about 10.30am purely because there was a scooter left across the road from me and I had somewhere to go. Not sure exactly how much I paid in total, but gravity managed to take me 10 metres across a car park. No power at all. If you can't get the 1st ride right, don't expect me to waste time and money again. App deleted about 11.10am.

    Can't tell difference visually between no parking and no riding zones. GPS is off when it comes to locking near a restricted zone (or the map is inaccurate). Promo code was redeemed and then had an error and disappeared. All in all, exceptionally meh.

    Was fun,until it bugged out. I enjoyed trying out the scooters,but today my wallet didn't auto reload, tried a different card same error,no cards will work even though they are good,very frustrating. Figure out your payment transaction.

    I scanned a bike and got a message that it couldn't be used as the battery was too low. All the other bikes in the area seemed to have low batteries as well, so I gave up. I'd prefer to use a pedal bike that doesn't need a battery.

    Just downloaded app to have a ride and it is charging me for a totally different bike and I can not "end ride". It says my ride started from Britomart and still going and yet I'm near Auckland Hospital. Its annoying and lost money just to be confused and not get a ride.

    There were five limes close to me on the map, when I tried to find them each one was in a building somehow. Will definitely not recommend this app or use it in the future. I'll probably refund the wallet funds I added (this was the first time using the app too). Awful experience.

    I can't use Paypal even though it's an option and it is often a problem unlocking a scooter. Bad app. Update: after updating to the latest version, the app has begun to work properly

    You know what would be really cool? If adding a card actually worked and it showed up under payment options. And when you click on edit default card you could actually edit it so you could make it another card

    Horrendous GPS that makes it impossible to locate the scooters or bikes half the time. Cannot end trip even two blocks outside no ride zone... Also stops the ride on the road adjacent to no ride zone (not in the zone).

    Did not like my last ride recently. I was over charged i feel. I put 30$ in my wallet and it still charged my card an additional 10$. I dont understand why it charge so much. I feel the 30$ in my wallet Disappeared. Without me using it. This is very bad scammy and sketchy

    Expensive, low quality, inaccurate. You end up wasting so much time looking for the damn things because they can never pinpoint exactly where these things are. It's always another 500 feet away or across the street on a busy intersection. On top of that they switched out their better older models with these newer garbage models. The wheels are smaller and they are much slower than usual. Good luck trying to stop because the brakes will make you skid all over the place too.

    Tryed it for the first time. Its wasnt as great as i expected, it wasnt bad thou. Its whatever. The scooter is woobly and very unstable. The stearing wheel was too hight for me Im 6f and also too narrow, i felt struggling riding it. Specially on the side of the road with cars and trucks going right next to me. Also it suddently stopped working for couple of minutes halfway. However its not that much cheaper too. I can just chillax in uber with AC for couple extra bucks and half of time saved.

    The app eats your phone battery as hell during the ride. And if you run out of battery, you won't be able to end the ride, there's no hardware way of doing it. And it'll cost you a fortune.

    I bought a 20 dollars in my lime wallet and can't use it on day passes. What a ripoff! You app is slow and your scooters are falling apart. Tip check the brakes before you get on one. Half of them don't work.

    I only was riding mine for 50 something minutes and it was only 1.5miles and my final price when I went back to the app was $24.05 which is fine. However when I went back to my bank account it revealed that the lime scooter app also took $19.05 from my account to but I only rode the scooter once, not twice so that's a major problem

    Lovely idea cool setup, I like that they are the cheaper scooters going, however saying that I find that they are very expensive to use ( all scooters apps.) with Lime being cheaper at 20p a minute, the clock soon adds up. A 1hr ride will cost you About £12, 30 minute ride will cost you £6 and they charge you If your using it or not. You could get a scooter chat with your friends for 5 mins then scoot off but you have paid for 5 minutes beforehand. Buy your own! When they are legal in the uk.

    Cannot unlock any lime, I don't even get an error message. Yes, I used the QR code, but it makes no difference. It just does nothing. No error message, nothing. The worst about that is that I had to stay there for a while to see if they'll just unlock it with some delay, and someone else will ride while I pay, and I don't even notice that, because error handling is a luxury in this product, that they cannot afford. I don't trust this quality of software to charge me.

    Won't unlock any scooter. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and even subscribed to the unlocking fee. Still no unlock! Tried 3 different scooters in different locations. Fixed after finding out you needed money in your account if you purchase the monthly unlocking fee which defeats the purpose of trying to save money on rides.

    Cant unlock any bikes. Edit: Ok so it is my fault ultimately, I did not have money in my account. HOWEVER, there was never a note (or it was far to small to notice) telling me this, and it would either spin the loading wheel infinitely, or just go back to the homepage - very unclear that it was because I needed to top up my account before riding. Like, when I tried to unlock a bike, there could have just been a pop-up telling me that I couldn't rent the bike because I had no $ in account....

    The app does not function at all. Everytime, it asks me to scan the code and once it reads, it just returns back to home screen. It is frustrating. I have tried troubleshooting it by manually adding the code, still it does not work and returns to the same home page. I have checked my phone and all the required permissions are turned on too. Just fix this, please.

    A disaster. My girlfriend and I found two bikes and we each downloaded the app. She was able to scan and unlock her bike using the Apple version of the app. I was using the android version and after I scanned the QR code the app simply froze. It did this constantly I typed the code in which didn't freeze but it jumped straight back to the map screen without unlocking the bike. After 10 minutes gave up and locked her bike back up. No doubt she'll be charged despite not going anywhere

    The app doesn't work at all. When scanning the QR code the app crashes the camera. I couldn't even take a photo anymore without restarting my phone. Manually inputting the QR code also didn't work, making it impossible to book a ride. My phone is a new model of just a couple months old, so that shouldn't be the issue here. Absolutely atrocious.

    Absolutely awful experience in using this app. I hadn't used it for a year and then started getting receipts in German (I live in the US). Hopped on the app to see what was up and someone in the Netherlands was using my account. Since the account is tied to your phone number, there is no way to change your password when your account somehow gets compromised. What's more, you can't remove payment info either, so my card just kept getting billed as someone kept booking rides. Do not use Lime.

    The app worked the first time I tried it, but that was the only time. Now every time I try to unlock the app says unlocking, but the scooter doesn't unlock and the app doesn't initiate a ride. Apparently it still charges me in the background though... so basically it's just wasting me time and money. Let me know if the issue gets fixed and I'll try again.

    Totally unreliable. Do not rely on the technology in a rush. Finally Found a functioning bike, but would not unlock. Ended up having to run back to the tube station and taking the underground instead. Ended up late. Great for messing around as a tourist but no solution to the needs of commuters.

    Horrible. Costumer service is a joke bought a day pass then tried to do group ride said suspicious activity. I mean you literally just let by a a pass now you won't let me. Costumer service is joke said they couldn't do anything. Will never use this again

    (Edited) It has been weeks since I've contacted Customer Service for an issue with billing and the response time could definitely use some improvement. Eventually the problem was addressed though. The scooters worked fine and are definitely a fun and convenient way to travel. I hope to see this service continue to improve.

    Since 2 weeks the app doesn't work properly on Android 8 and 9. When I scan the scooter or manually enter the code on it the "Unlocking..." screen appears and then nothing happens. It drops me back on the map. Tried with 5 different scooters, after restarting the app too but it is simply not working. So from 2 weeks now I cannot use any Lime scooter in my city. I also tried with 2 different phones. My wife has iPhone and for her is working. I think it may be since the last Android update?

    I paid for a day pass and only afterwards did the app demand that I scan my ID. Now I'm stuck here because I already paid but I can't use my pass until they verify it. It's already been an hour and I have had multiple rides in the past with the same account. There is no way to contact Lime besides submitting a ticket and meanwhile I'm just waiting in the heat outside during a pandemic. Do not recommend! Edit: I did contact support and they have not responded.

    The app stopped working for me. Worked perfectly the first time, tried on many scooters with no luck. Not sure if it's an android problem, since it worked fine for my iPhone friends. Hopefully an update will come out soon.

    Every scooter I find in Rochester MN has no power. Even if it says on the app half battery life. After one maybe two miles I run out of power. First time I thought it was a fluke. Second, third, fourth time to leave me stranded. Been burned too many times to find them useful. Unreliable means unusable.

    When I tried to finish my ride the application didn't let lock the bike despite I was within the service zone. I tried to refresh and log in again into the application but I lost my session , so I can't even see my ride history. I wrote to support, but their answer wasn't helpful as I did everything they suggested and it didn't work. I have to leave it because I can't wait the whole evening for somebody to get back to me ( I was already waiting 2 hours)

    This is one of the worst apps possible, I say this because I have just downloaded it and have had nothing but problems. First it wouldn't let me enter my account, then it wouldn't let me scan the qr code of the scooter, and then it wouldn't even let me enter the code, then it wouldn't let me use my camera on any app and I had to restart my phone. I re-downloaded the app and tried everything again and had the same problems. I wish this app worked properly because its a great idea. 0/10.

    Don't use it, not worth your time. In two rides got two serious errors: got double charged the first time, couldn't lock for a lot of time in an allowed location for the second ride. I did contact support numerous times, but no meaningful help so far. It's not so complicated, you can check we used only 3 scooters, why would you charge twice for the same scooter for the same ride?

    If you report an illegal parking via the app itself (by scanning the QR code of the bike and taking a picture of it), they will come back to you via email some 20+ hours later acting like they didn't even read the report, asking you what issues did you encounter with the ride. NONE! I WAS REPORTING AN ILLEGAL PARKING! Then, they'd ask more details, like the location. So, if I report such a thing via the app itself, it's... useless? Riders can leave the bikes wherever they please?!

    Tried with Google pay, and it didn't work. It just prompted me again and again with the same screen to try another payment method. I tried paying by card after and got a fraud alert from my bank. After confirming that the transaction was valid it still failed to go through payment. This time with no feedback aside from checking my input.

    Yesterday I used a group ride for 2ppl for the first time. I had some issues locking the 2nd bike. The app kept saying me that I was in a no parking area. I moved the bike further definitely outside any red zone, still did not work. Very interestingly the 1st bike could be blocked the 2nd not. I tried to seek for help, but the customer service is really poor! The app does not show any contact ph nr or mail nr! It took me ca 20min to finally lock my bike after restartarting my phone 😐

    The app charges you 4 EUR without any authorization as you register. I have sent a message to try to request an immediate reimbursement. Also on the same day when we tried to get a scooter it was not possible. It appeared on the map but was not available however. We cancelled the operation due to missing vehicle but they still charged the 4 eur for not really sure why... I look forward to receive my money back.

    Apsolute garbage! Paypal doesnt work even if it is an option. Didnt take my card in the many tries I made. Tried putting funds on the wallet with my card, said insufficient funds. Got home to see a receipt in my mail that they indeed took my 10 after all. No menu or setting to see/change my cards in the app, I have to fully logout and in to do that. Super quick refund at least so +1 for that.

    Terrible app ruining a great product. It worked first time but since then everytime I try to unlock a scooter it comes up with unlocking but goes straight back to map. Tried numerous scooters with no success. Similar issue with bikes in London. Luckily Ginger and Spin scooter apps work alot better and offer better value! Avoid Lime

    I have used every brand of shared scooter and this brand is by far the worst here is a list of issues the app showed scooters inside locked buildings i tried ringing but that part of the app dosnt work apparently but anyways after i found a fully charged scooter i got on seemed normal but noticed i could only reach 12mph not the worst thing but it gradually got slower then 20 mins into my ride at 3mph it died i walked home the rest this ride takes 12 to 15 min on any other brand of scooter

    It's stopped working for the past week or so. After scanning the QR code, you get back to the map and the bike isn't unlocked. Using the reservation option, same thing but there's an error message as well. Looks like it may be linked to the latest version of Android or of the app? I'm on Android 10 with an Honor 20 lite.

    App is ridiculous. Won't scan I'd, on the manual entry one line is blank and doesnt state which info you need. And even when you do enter anything it just says loading. And there is not a single way of contacting you about the app besides here, you've told people to go onto the website but there isn't anywhere to report an app issue on there only vehicle!! We had arranged a day out on the scooter and now it's been ruined because your app is literally impossible to use!

    Can't get my driving license added. Tried to uninstall and reinstall but no luck still doesn't accept my license scanned or manually. When asking support they just say to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app even though this has been tried. Loads of comments saying about the ID function is causing issues but no attempt to fix or any real acknowledgement given from lime. Very dissatisfied with this service.

    The app didnt let me rent a scooter, tried 4 different scooters and tried putting in the coded on the front of the scooters and it said they were all out of service. My girlfriend tried hers out and it worked on an out of service one. Was excited to try them out but now those scooter can rot. I hope they get stolen

    Fun. But you should add a feature that turns on compass view on map. Where is left, where is right on the map? Align it to the North? How? Use a separate compass app? It's too difficult to find scooter without auto rotating map. Also, price changed from 15c per minute to 24c per minute.

    So so so buggy. I have to use Lime as my main transportation lately since my tube station closed, and I have major problems at least once every other ride. Randomly cancelled reservations, rides not ending when the bike is locked, completely wrong range estimations, and lots of other random little bugs that make it very hard to use. That is just the app experience, the bikes are often broken or in poor state as well.

    App works pretty good - that's why 2 stars were given. Unfortunately unlock price makes Lime board useless. I can't remember if i've ever traveled with scoot far enough to pay more than unlock price. Most often, my journey lasts about 5 minutes. So unlock fee is doubling minute fee. It seems to be a bit irrational, scoot should be handy. It's not car sharing.

    Scooters that are broken down still show up on the map and are still bookable. So you walk around for ages between broken down scooters, and possibly you will be charged for reservations. Makes the app useless if you're in a hurry. I missed an appointment because of this.

    Tried on several bikes in london and it never manages to unlock any. Best i can do is make them 'ring' which isnt useful! I try typing in the bike's code manually and they all either say low battery or under maintenance despite showing up as available on the map. Useless

    Scooters are unreliable. They start billing you plus a dollar fee, but that's not a guarantee if the scooter will work or have any battery left. I've had at least 3 the last two days, then had to try another scooter, so there's another dollar fee, then the battery is on low, can't check the battery level till you book it and get charged. I know in the app you can see, but that's not always accurate, esp when there is a lot of scooters around. UPDATE. was on hold with the lime customer ser

    My first ride was a non starter, I had battery power, I activated the service, walked about 15 feet and attempted to begin my ride, after a couple attempts to shove off and accelerate, the scooter refuses to go. After giving up, I see that I've been billed a couple dollars for a service that I never got. I found me a BIRD Scooter service, and resumed my journey with very satisfactory service. I will be deleting the app for a service that is more like a Lemon, rather than a Lime.

    Use any other rental but this, help service does not exists, it wont let you park in parking zones but will still keep charging (i'm still paying for a service that i did not use since it didn't have ANY battery life) It will just steal you money so really don't use it. Awful service Tried to call the help number but it doesn't exist so i had to submit an email to which they don't answer!!! Onestly there are a ton of applications, do not use this!!!

    Something is wrong with the payment method, after I uploaded money into the wallet for the first time it never let me do it again, making it impossible to use the app anymore. After contacting emailed help, they tell me theyll connect me to their "tech service" and nobody has ever been in contact with me. Ive tried twice more to contact them to get help but they insist tech support will contact me. Its been 7 weeks and no word.

    Atrocious app and service. Made an account and immediately linked my cards, when trying to pay it complained about zip code error so I changed my payment method again, and the account was locked due to suspicious activity. Waited for 10 minutes for a representative to pick up, and instead of actually trying to work with me on the account lock, sent an email and hung up.

Then he kept repeating the same thing even though that was not an option. At the end it came down to me still having the problem of not being able to spend the remaining money in my wallet and not being able to refund it. Spoke with team on phone who said re installation of app is needed because of a glitch did this wasted an hour trying solve issue gave up in end and won't bother using service.     Not a lot of bikes available, not possible to see available bikes when you have one (in case you need to change for example) and the app is full of bugs. Paying with Google pay brings the dialog 37284727 times and you have to dismiss in order to work.

    Wow, where to start. First the scooter is beat up, feels like it hasn't been repaired in ages. 2nd its a bumpy ride, I don't know if its the wheels or what but BEAM is a way smoother ride. You guys need to copy what BEAM is doing. 3rd, the scooter has very bad acceleration power. Theres a hill that I can always go up on a BEAM scooter but on the LIME scooter I couldn't get even halfway up. All in all, unimpressive.

    Awful! No brakes, terrible acceleration. Took it right back to where I got it and it told me for 15 extra minutes I wasn't in the right zone even though I was. WILL NEVER use again. Spin actually works and doesn't blatantly try to rip you off.

No live chat function to trouble shoot and the FAQ provided no insight. Switched to another app and was able to get the scooter working first try.

    The Lime Pass looks like good value but is not. Normally when there is an issue with the scooter (brake or throttle not working for example) you get an instant refund for your aborted ride. With the Lime Pass you get your ride credit deducted upon unlocking even though your scooter didn't work and you ended your ride after 10 sec. And sadly this happens often... Fix this please.

    The scooters are fine, especially the new gen ones but the e-bikes are TERRIBLE. There's always something wrong with them. They are noisy, flimsy and awful to ride. JUMP bikes are a million times better - when are you going to have them on the app?

    My lime app will not unlock any of the lime scooters. The lime app continuously crashes every time I try to unlock a scooter. There are lots of lime scooters around me and I cannot unlock a single one to ride home. I have tried restarting the app as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app again and the app still does not work.

    The problems I have is that if you get the $16.99 24 hour pass you have to be aware that you only have 30 mins per ride or to say each ride broken down within the 24 Hour time. To be clear you have to hop on and off and lock it and unlock every 30 mins within the day. Also another problem is not being able to ride pass 14th street downtown and you can not take the lakeshore bike path because the unit will cut off until you get out of the red zone.

    I could not find the pricing info on the app or the website and ended up with a huge bill for a day with the bike. However I contacted customer service and they refunded the charges without hesitation. I really appreciated their customer service. I would ask for fixes in the app to display the pricing and to address bugs in the locking/ending rental features.

    Steals money from you. They use dark ux to rope you into adding set amounts of funds and make it mandatory in order to them purchase a day pass. Their fund adding doesn't allow for custom amounts and forces you to keep money within their app, which you might not fully use. Additionally they use a sketchy pyramid scheme to provide 5$ off but it's unclear how it's used and you can't use it on funds that you add.

Ok cool... few days later i check my Internet banking and notice i was charged twice for the day pass plus extra fees. I have informed lime support and they are pretty much saying im a lier. Funny because my online bank account says im not... SO BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN ADDING BANK DETAILS THEY WILL TAKE EXTRA MONEY.

    After an awful experience with Lime, I requested to have my account deleted permanently. I was misled into buying a $5.99 monthly pass that I thought would give me unlimited 30-minute rides for a month. But no, it's just reservations, and when you reach out to customer service, you always end up with Anzhelika S who'll just tell you "sorry, Lime doesn't do test rides". That's fine, I don't do business with dishonest companies either. So long Lime, and I'll be sure to spread the word!

    This has to be the worst bike app ever, it now scams people and you spend a lot of money to ride the bike, there used to be mobikes which was way better for 12 a month you got 2 hours free to ride now we are stuck with lime, at first i liked the idea of the bikes but over time its gotten worse especially since the lime pass which is the biggest scam. You will spend a ton of money, your better of buying a new bike at the amount you spend but I'm warning everyone dont trust China's bike scheme

    I've taken 120 rides with Lime by now. I found it mostly convienient, thou not cheap. I have been billed at the end of each ride via my credit card. This month I have decided to buy a 60nis pass that allows me not to pay a 5nis unlock fee each ride I take. I enjoyed 3 rides at a considerably cheaper price. Then, suddenly, Lime conditioned the further use of service on me paying in advance either 40nis, 80nis, or 120nis. I refuse to be extorted. Will rather delete Lime app.

    My friend and I both got a scooter each at the same time and ended at the same time, but I got charged double for some odd reason. Later I tried to see if I was able to get my money back by sending an email to them but they said it wasn't an error and won't be refunding half of my money.

    Just never worked... Every time I would scan the bar code it would take my back to the maps. Hope they software team can figure it out. Fyi this is an android 11.
