I've discovered that Limbo works consistently with the Qemu installed on my Linux boxes, and is actually quite robust. However, my old tablet can only spare 128MB of RAM for the guest machine, which limits what I can do. Yet, by now I actually have (Debian) GIMP, (MyDSL) Python 2.3, (custom) Blender 2.42, (MyDSL) GCC, GTK2, Inkscape, (custom) autoconf, and (Debian) Scilab installed on my tablet, in that order, through Limbo and (supplied) DSL Image! {:-D} Please, please don't allow any future updates to make my .qcow2 File obsolete... {:-)} .

I know that it is not supported because of high CPU and I/O usage. But can you make an option to enable it? Of course a warning will popup saying you are removing the CPU limits. And asks if you want to proceed. Please read and take this into consideration developers.

You can emulate older operating systems flawlessly, if you have a more powerful device. I would say the max OS a modern device could run is probably XP. If you expect 7 or 8 to run you are mistaken. But, if you want to run Windows 95 or 98, they run very good, even on old hardware.

Since you're not including all the QEMU options as part of the GUI (honestly who would want them all) it might be nice to have a "Command line options" field where a user could type in command line options to launch. I would like to set up a read-only folder that my QEMU instances can see so it's easier to install applications in my virtual machines. This option is sadly not available. Unless I'm misunderstanding the "CPU CORES" option - SMP could greatly improve performance on multi-core tablets and phones. Like others have said. QEMU-ARM has come a very long way. It makes a huge improvement on the OpenPandora.

0.9.8 works on Newman N2/Freelander I20 in SGS3 mode. Managed to install WIN98SE. Some problems - uneven mouse, VERY, EXTREMELY SLOW!

MS DOS support would really be needed. I don't have any need for linux, dosbox is crap aswell. Look there's only one thing seperating me from dos & that's your crummy bootloader which isn't overwritable.

You should make a version of this emulator using the qemu arm emulator as it can run linux at 3x (or more so) the speed of this one running qemu i386 and qemu X86_64.

Wow this is a cool little app. Currently downloading an android x86 ISO (android 4.2.2 jelly bean), this can be almost like automatic upgrades. Possibly a "half root" will be playing around with it to see what happens.. hopefully I get to keep using my phones items, then I will boot into it every time. Such as the cell network, and phone texting WiFi and such capabilities. Would be very nice. The app itself is very lightweight and won't transfer to sd card, but your ISO can be on sd.

Con: emulation is not as fast as other apps. Pro: run pc games req CD to play. Instructions: XP. Install on PC w/qmeu, use sb16 & cirrus VGA on limbo & qmeu. Disable hdd page file in 95/XP. Copy the .qmeu image to phone/card. Enable "multithread aio"on Limbo... For DOS/95. As above but just install DOS, Install DOS mouse/CD drivers (dwnlod floppy .img), Install dos game (now ins 95). You need 2 setup most games irq/dma. Win DOS prompt is not fast enough, exit to DOS! I run C&C Red Alert on budget dev.

I ran DSL Linux on my Samsung Galaxy S 3 and no lag but a little buggy this PC emulator does not save and if you have two hard drives not named the same not a good idea to run DSL Linux because there is no log in so choose alot of space or be board of no space on you emulation because you're going to need it I made mine at 1000 MBS I should have selected 5000 MBS and have unlimited space but set the RAM to max to avoid lagging on you're emulation its important you back up your important files..
