This is the most polished food related fitness app that I have used. The design is by far the best part, right next to how easy it is to use. My only issue is it won't sync my weight or steps from Google fit, so I have to do that manually. I tried using myfitnesspal for a while, but it lacks the polish and the simplicity of lifesum, and does all the same things. The food library is absolutely phenomenal, with it giving you an overall rating for each food, along with the pro and cons.

  2. glenn bourff-avatar

Pretty darn good app. Helps me keep track of everything I eat, all my calories, fats, protein, and carbs. Allows you to move at your own pace/goal either to maintain weight, bulk, or slim down. Also it's diet friendly for anyone who's vegan or has any other specific diet. Includes recipes you can make that are pretty simple and good.

  3. Rebecca Hoffman-avatar

    Rebecca Hoffman

It works! When I used it last I eventually got the premium membership, but even now on the free part it tracks calories, protiens and fats so that you can plan to eat better. Also tracks your water which I have found to be a key part of the process. You can also track your excercise and learn how to tailor all of this info for your needs. I'm impressed.

  4. Dad-avatar

when I was making an account, i got all the way to the end, where the salad was running and then it said "try again" or something like that. I clicked "ok" and tried again about four times, and it made me go back and do all the stuff again, I even set up an email and tried logging into that too and nothing worked. I was really excited about this

  5. Kristin Bouveng-avatar

    Kristin Bouveng

Overall great app, but some features could be better. On the Keto Burn plan, it tells you how many carbs you have left to consume each day, but it counts ALL carbs and not just the net carbs, so I have to check every meal I've entered and mentally deduct the fibres. If that is improved, I will continue paying for it after this month, but if not I will look for another app.

  6. Danielle Miller-avatar

    Danielle Miller

It helps keep me on track (yes I got the premium version so I can track macros) but there needs to be more diverse plan methods. I am a faster, I've been doing it for about 2 months but it only gives 5:2 (days) or 6:1 options. I currently do a 18:6 (hours) working towards 20:4 but I can't alter my calories each day and I defintely DON'T hit it. Just wish if I was paying for it, there was more I could adjust to my lifestyle, you know?

  7. Alyssa Heidt-avatar

Contains a manageable calorie tracker, a lot of diet plans, an array of recipes, and a handy water intake tracker. What I love most about it: there are a lot of Norwegian/Scandinavian food brands in the food catalogue for easy calorie tracking (I live in Norway), so I don't have to constantly enter in calorie amounts of these foods manually.

  8. Zoe Jones-Balycky-avatar

    Zoe Jones-Balycky

The aesthetic is cute and the app there are a lot of features I like but I find it's inferior to other free calories counting apps because the free version only allows you to input two recipes into the system, ever. Every other calorie counter app I've used lets you add unlimited recipes in the free version. I cook most of my meals, so this makes the app pretty much unusable for me unless I want to buy premium. I hate when apps try to cajole you into buying premium by denying basic features. 👎

  9. Isabella Huff-avatar

I love this app. If your looking to lose weight they give you a certain amount of calories to eat per day and when you exercise they add more calories that you can eat. It shows you your protein, fiber, fat, etc. You can create meals and follow plans. Also, they send you little notifications to drink more water or other things. I definitely recommend this app.😄

  10. Laura Metal-avatar

The best app for calorie counting and weight tracking. It helped me a lot keeping my discipline while dieting and showed me how some foods have a great impact in my body. I would recommend it to anyone that needs help losing weight, if you don't have money to pay, the app is still amazing (I myself can't afford to pay so I use the free tools) and if you can pay for it, there is literally a whole new world waiting! Counting macros, giving you meal plans and recipes, it's amazing. 10/10

  11. Ilse Cornelissen-avatar

    Ilse Cornelissen

I love the app. I've been using it on and off, and it's a great way to get some insights of what I'm eating. I've been living more conscious using lifesum. It's easy to use, it supports personal plans (paid, however), it tracks my weight and can be linked to Google fit etc. I enjoy it, however it could be useful to note what a serving is (as in, what's a serving of soup, how much?) when adding, because that's not always clear.

  12. Falk Pollok-avatar

I can't believe how amazing this app is - motivating, insightful and effective. Whether you use it to track calories, to generate meal plans or both - it is an essential tool for maintaining healthy habits. Now they only need to add support for Polar and they are close to perfect. Thanks for the outstanding work.

  13. Andreja Wilson-avatar

I just a months ago subscribed to the premium and I love it. Previously, I only had the free and it was still great for tracking food and logging from Google Fit app. It's made me more accountable for my choices. The premium is worth it for the recipes and meal plans based on a quick few questions they ask about you goals. All in all a great platform. Just make sure to watch preprogrammed items as sometimes the servings are off (user supplied mande public).

  14. E Markert-avatar

Wanted to upgrade whilst on "30%" special, as soon as I offer to pay it, it goes back to the standard price but only for the 12 months the others work fine. I have emailed support and they only send me emails telling me they will get back to me. This is false advertising - you can't offer a deal and then when a customer gets to checkout they can't apply it. Not happy!!

  15. Destiny Andrade-avatar

    Destiny Andrade

The recipes are nice, but the measuring is in grams and there is no way to convert that to anything else. As far as the tracking, I think my fitness pal did a better job showing you calories as well as all other nutrients including vitamin intake. The tracker for nutrients in this app is pretty minimal considering its a paid app. Its also difficult to swipe between days to compare your intake quickly. Aside from the recipes and meal plans it falls short as a tracker.

  16. Samantha Magana-avatar

    Samantha Magana

If you're passionate on losing weight pls get this app. I have lost 80 pounds since I started using lifesum app. I went from 217 to 138 and I cant be happier. This app is really essential for tracking calories, exercises and water intake. And you can update your page with your weight change and photos. Honestly i couldby have done my weight lose journey without lifesum. The hey also do meal plans with the membership. Recently bought it but I have tried any of the meal plans out.

  17. Danielle Kemp-avatar

I've been using this app for years and I love it. The QR codes and the option to make your own recipes is so nice and saves time. I just wish the app (I have the free version) allowed you to separate saturated and non saturated fats as well as complex and simple carbs.

  18. George Acikgoz Michaelidis-avatar

    George Acikgoz Michaelidis

It needs to support more languages on the food search. Many mistakes or wrong kcal on foods. App must be more friendly and dont over do it with the premium plams every second. On food are given on the day need an option to edit with deleting and re-adding. I al still trying other apps that have better functionality.

  19. Josie Jewiss-avatar

Great app but the toggle function for "exclude exercise calories" doesn't stay on the setting you choose, it keeps reverting back to the default which is quite annoying. But otherwise it's a great app, I have the premium version and it really helps me stay on track.

  20. Marta Maki-avatar

I've tried a lot of these apps & always come back to Lifesum. Great recipes & easy to use for the most part. I like that the plan choices have such a wide range. I do wish client food additions were more regulated & easier to add. Imperial and metric choices, conversion would be ideal. Standardized serving sizes would definitely simplify things. And when tracking a Lifesum recipe, the ability to edit ingredients so nutritional info is correct. I don't always have all the ingredients.

  21. Elizabeth Mercer-avatar

    Elizabeth Mercer

Have tried a few different apps but this is really easy to use and keep track of what I eat & drink. Have cut out a number of things I have a weakness for but on seeing how quickly the calories went up when I consumed them, the shock made it easier.

  22. William-avatar

Water tracking sucks. Most expensive food tracker app (or any app) that I have purchased, and already disappointed. You can only track water in 8.5 ounce or 16.9 ounce increments. If you are drinking from a different sized vessel you may as well use pen and paper to keep track.

  23. Shaira Kennedy-avatar

Overall I give five stars, two thumbs up, the whole shebang. I've had this app for a while and for good reason. I even recently started using the recipe option and it really helps with my calories and carbs! Recommend for sure.

  24. Alex Walton-avatar

This app is bloody brilliant. Way better than myfitnesspal. Nice aesthetic, easy to use, huge library of foods to search from and only rarely does the barcode scanner not return an exact match. Indispensable for IIFYM, intelligent weight loss/gain etc

  25. Július Retzer-avatar

I don't get the meal plan feature. If I choose a plan I expect to somehow see the meals from that plan scheduled for the week ahead, also with a shopping list. If I choose a different meal plan I don't see any difference. Is there something I'm missing? Where is the plan and where is the shopping list?

  26. Saber DaCaliba-avatar

This app has helped me lose 10kg in a month with one of its plans. It kept me motivated with how I checked in every day and helped me keep track of everything I ate, my water consumption and my exercise 😁 Plenty of great recipes and resources to help me expand my knowledge and stay healthy.

  27. Jazmin Smith-avatar

My favorite thing is the meal suggestions based on the kind of food plan I want to follow. It's really easy to get bored of your food when you plan stuff yourself. It helps get rid of a lot of the decision fatigue.

  28. Dawn S-avatar

I like it. Previously used My Fitness Pal. I like this app better in terms of excercise and fit bit connection. My Fitness Pal is better for adding food for the sole purpose that it has a multi add feature that this one is missing

  29. Zuzanna Rajek-avatar

I looove this app. I started using it for calorie counting, but I ended up using it for just healthy lifestyle. I track my macros and make sure my diet it well balanced. Lifesum makes it sooo easy! You also get a lot of amazing recipes. 10/10, would recommend even to my worst enemy lol

  30. Rodrigo López Villegas-avatar

    Rodrigo López Villegas

I've been using it for upwards of 5 months and it's been really useful in assisting my weight loss. If I had any complaints it would be that a lot of the options are restricted if you don't have premium.

  31. Tanya Appleton-avatar

Easy to use and a great app to guide what you should eat with smiley face emoji! I also like the featire of choosing wht plan you are going to follow. Not five star as I feel that the quizz is not a true quizz as you basically pick what plan you want to follow. It would be great if you could actually make it a quizz.

  32. Katie J-avatar

I love this app so far! It's very helpful when counting calories and watching your diet. Whether you want to gain weight, maintain your weight, or lose weight, I highly recommend this app!

  33. Stephanie Coyle-avatar

    Stephanie Coyle

Gorgeous design, aggressive upgrade push. A better way to sell this would be a week of free premium before the ad push. I'd be much more likely to spend money on this if I, as a new user, could have a positive user experience associated with premium. Devs and designers of this app, hire a sales gen marketing person who knows more than Instagram. Right now you are selling a product but you need to offer a solution to users. Learn the difference if you want to go anywhere with this.

  34. A Google user-avatar

I find this so much more user friendly than My fitness Pal, and also less clinical. Being able to select diet types and have my macros focus on that regime is so helpful and it syncs to my Fitbit.

  35. kshiti pal-avatar

It's a really really really awesome app if you're thinking to track your calorie intake. It tells you about everything you need to know regarding your health. I love it!!

  36. Sue Dean-avatar

Comprehensive - Different food plans and levels. Tracking of progress with encouraging comments. Recipes. If it hasn't got something I haven't discovered it yet.

  37. Judith Doherty-avatar

So easy to use, tried all sorts of diets and this controls what calories you eat so can eat what you fancy as long as its within your limits. Love the barcode and recent meals section.

  38. Cecily Pena-avatar

Great diets and plans. But please make it optional to only eat half of the recipes if you don't eat all the food since it is alot. It messes with your calorie count in the end.

  39. Maria Cristina-avatar

Easy it is to use. Suggestions: 1- there should be an option to modify the recipes that are already suggested. That would make the process of "creating a meal" much faster/easier instead of having to write one from the beginning. 2- there should be a possibility for us to share the recipes with our partners. My partner & I premium and when we eat the same meal we both have to take the time to write it in. It would be faster to send eachother the recipe & nutrition facts 3- pregnancy mode ✌

  40. Cathy Kent-avatar

Great features. Easy to use. Helped me better understand what I was eating and the value of different foods and different exercises

  41. Leonie Hölderle-avatar

    Leonie Hölderle

Great app for watching your calories and providing meal plans It would be great to include an option where you can create your own meal plan from the recipes and have your shopping list based on that

  42. Artyom Semenov-avatar

I really love the app. It's simple and intuitive. Well designed and has a few really delightful moments. From one UX designer to another — well played. However this morning I discovered that MyFitnessPal allows for _unlimited_ recipes. As someone who cooks a lot and struggled to count these calories I felt cheated and betrayed. Lifesum said it's a premium feature and I almost got a subscription. MFP is not perfect but it has unlimited recipes.

  43. Nichole Hall-avatar

I can see how it's helpful in counting calories, logging food and exercise. If I wasn't already 6wks in a similar app I'd use this one.

  44. Sher_ ga-avatar

The App is perfect, but please could you bring back older version? It is really not so handy when water is on the bottom, i will surely forget to drink it now. The design is terrible, new highlighted letters look awful... The design all in all is not so pretty as it used to be, im really sad after latest update, i don't even want to go to the app and check my meals anymore....

  45. Retro-avatar

This is coming from someone who has used MyFitnessPal for a very long time and was looking for something a little different, this app has some good qualities, but falls short on a lot of things that MyFitnessPal offers. Lifesum's food search option caters to popular food places than brands, and also, the barcode scanner seems to bring up inaccurate products and calories. The meal plans seem quite bland, with the breakfast selection being the only exception. Overall, the money I spent was wasted.

  46. L Wishon-avatar

Easy to use. Keeps me on track. The free version is good. The premium features are worth the upgrade. Multiple diet plans to choose from and a quick survey helps you choose the best fit. The upgrade $ is reasonable. Didn't give it 5 stars because I wish I could set reminders. And I would like to have an explanation for how "fat" intake is calculated.

  47. Peter McDonald-avatar

Really helps me keep an eye on what I eat and how much. Surprising how much some food can pile on the pounds! Since I started using this plus exercising and syncing the data from Google Fit I have lost a stone in around a month so it's worked for me - same as everything relies on honesty inputting everything you eat into the app, even guilty pleasures...

  48. R Reed-avatar

Super easy to use. Im just tracking my calories and have it linked up to my fitbit but I'm super happy with how it works.

  49. Bianca Levai-avatar

It's great, Ive lost 15kg! Just by punching in what I eat im motivated to make better choices. I haven't used any of the settings you pay for but they look like they offer a lot of extras 👌🏼

  50. Lindsay Thompson-avatar

    Lindsay Thompson

Absolutely love this App! It tracks so much! Its tracks all your Micros, cals, cals burned, body weight and measurements. It also does a Life Score, you answer a bunch of questions about your health and Fitness ect, and it gives you a score. It also helps you find the right plan for your body type. Your also able to sync it with your other fitness apps, like I have LifeSum synced with my Samsung Fitness App that came on my phone.. I definitely Recommend this app if working on health an Fitness!

  51. Cristen Coukos-avatar

Love this app! so easy to use and accurate! has really helped me with my tummy bloat !!! best thing ever !

  52. Michelle Chang-avatar

There is not enough variation in the brand or types as well as the serving size for each food item. I don't always have a good scale available so this has become a setback/guessing game. I almost subscribed to the premium but I do not plan to. Instill plan to use the app as it is convenient and user friendly.

  53. Joseph Stephens-avatar

    Joseph Stephens

Really easy and helpful to use. It is wonderful at giving simple and easy to follow tips and guidelines.

  54. Cristhian Macoh Musada-avatar

    Cristhian Macoh Musada

Great app for tracking your food intake and also exercise as well. Just a suggestion or maybe it is already on the app: If you can make like a view where you can see all the previous inputs of weight. I know there is a graph but i dont see the exact values. And also If i can input my weight from previous days as well. Thanks!

  55. Hope M-avatar

Fantastic app that's helped me on my health journey. I'm able to enjoy some treats but have self control now, and my lifestyle has definitely improved.

  56. Jayden Meeker-avatar

Would be a better experience if I could have everything available to me and not have it instead locked behind a premium pay wall. I would probably have perfered ads.

  57. Bentley Coop-avatar

I already on a diet and I lost 60 pounds but I was feeling a loss of motivation so I searched for a app that could help me log my calories and was free. I found this app you can track your calories, amount of water you drink and the amount of calories you burn from exercise for free. But to get other things you do have to sign up for a subscription. This app is really helpful if you want to know how many calories you are eating in a day

  58. Tara Elise-avatar

I have premium membership as I enjoy access to the different plans, but am frustrated that while advertising that the app can link to your Fitbit, it can only import and is unable to export your food data, making the sync function basically useless. Based on the Lifesum feedback forums, this is something that has been highly requested for years and despite all the requests, there is not so much as a recent update. I remember now why I originally cancelled my subscription years ago...

  59. Jenifer G-avatar

Have been subscribed for 2 years and it's the only app that really considers all that is necessary for people who are serious for training (bodybuilding).

  60. Gayana Igityan-avatar

I'm sooo sooo disappointed. I installed the app and immediately loved the clean but cute look. However, despite it, lifesum turned out to be nothing but disappointing. They don't allow you track your diet even if you don't want their recipes, just tracking, there's no trial and they harass you to upgrade to a premium plan. What's worse is that the app is inaccurate. I tested at least 10 different products by scanning their barcodes & the app had wrong service size - >Hence wrong nutritional info

  61. Brittany W.-avatar

Such a great app!! Really love its like having an actual nutritionist , coach and personal chef with me al at once!! Who new counting calories could be this fun.

  62. Liz Walicki-avatar

So easy and keeps you accountable. Very helpful in making healthier choices with scanner. Thank you!

  63. Ellyn Stimac-avatar

Has practically no prebuilt foods for popular fast food brands and things you'd even get at the grocery store ..apps like LoseIt have better information available. This app has a pretty interface but is nothing more than that. Also kind of negative when you input your weight after only using the app for two days and it says "nothing lost, nothing gained" like damn ok. Just not that great of an app.

  64. Sylvie Humphreys-avatar

    Sylvie Humphreys

I've not even been able to log into an account, if i try and log in using Google or Facebook it says an excuse about my WiFi and that there's a connection error yet it straight away let's me click onto the email, but I type in my valid email and even created a new one to see if that would work and it still doesn't. I'm not happy!

  65. christie wagner-avatar

    christie wagner

I wanted an app that had good keto recipes (which this does), and a weekly meal planner with shopping list. This has that for only a few diet plans and not all. I cancelled my subscription because I need an app to figure it out for me as I don't have the time nor brain power to sit and figure it all out for myself each week. I don't want to sound spoiled, but some of us just can't focus and are not licensed nutritionists or chefs with loads of money and time to cook.

  66. William Evans-avatar

There is no better app out there. Easy to use, comprehensive content and a decent digital Coach.

  67. Chelsey W-avatar

This is a great app, one of the only apps I have actually paid for a subscription with. The platform is amazing and easy to use. I feel the subscription is fair, you would pay for new clothes or a meal out, so why not invest in your health? Great job life sum, I also love the meal plans you offer.

  68. Jody Ramsay-avatar

Very good, the only thing I would recommend is separating the fiber from carbs on more products so it doesn't look as though I went way over on my keto. It doesn't do that for everything which is weird... so I have to calculate on my own each item. The only way I see the difference is selecting my profile and looking at the graph for the day.

  69. Olivia-avatar

I am enjoying this app however I have come across some inaccuracies regarding calories, both intake and amount burned. Some food that I log will be off by a few calories. For exercises I'm finding that the calories I burned don't match up in the app. A fitness tracker should fix this issue, but it's a little annoying.

Used to use myfitnessPal until I found this app. So much cleaner and more beautiful - it motivates me to open the app and use it! Feels like the company really care about what they provide. Free functionality is more than enough but I will be going premium to support the development of this beautiful app!

Nothing bad to say about it. It would be great if it was an all in one. So meal diary, exercise and weight and body composition measure, I have 3 apps for all diffrent things but as a "stand alone" meal diary it does have alot of functionality. Definitely the best one I've use and if you are into tracking what you eat it's worth the subscription!

The app works pretty well for tracking cslories and having a well established item dictionary. Visually the UI is nice and smooth too.

The best app ever! One of the first apps I install whenever I change my cellphone. I've used it for year, I guess it became part of my life :) It always helps me keep on track, and stay fit. It's easy, the featres are well- organized, it's colourful, it's fun!

  74. Katie Beth-avatar

Not really worth the money. The recipes are things I don't eat. The calories aren't right on a lot of foods and I blame the way "create a food" is set up. I think it is confusing for most people. Also it is pushing me to eat or do certain things that I can't. Not everyone can afford to eat seafood 3 days a week or lift weights. Also don't like that it labels foods as good or bad. Diet culture needs to end.

The app is intuitive to use, featuring good integrations with other health apps. Thus, I'm not used to only three meals and can't find a way to add a evening meal. This makes a bit of a mess in my opinion, is it at all normal to only eat 3 times a day with snacks in between?

Just love how easy and user friendly this app is, being an Asian i find it hard to record some of the meals I have but this app has all recorded and I love it.

I've downloaded this app recently and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to pay for the subscription. The database is very broad, the interface is beautiful, the app is intuitive and user-friendly. The only constructive criticism I have is that since it allows you to add in body measurements, as well as body weight and height, it would be great if it enabled the calculation of body fat.

  78. Amy Masreliez-avatar

Good user experience. I would like to be able to add hip measurements and save my own recipes. I love the barcode feature that saves food items for daily nutrient and calorie tracking. I like me the meal plan options alot! I would really just like to be able to add and edit measurement options for the body section such as hip, neck and calves. It is too bad I can't save it in inches (it auto defaults to lbs) nor may I edit it.

I love this app. It's so easy, nutrition is detailed. It's easy to create meals as well.

This is a great app, it's super easy to use and has a lot of features that I think are worth paying for. But, I have it connected to my Galaxy Watch so it should automatically update my exercise. The steps work fine but if I track any other exercise then it doesn't update and I end up having to manually enter it in the app. Also I think there should be a way to input restaurant meals without having to put the ingredients. If the nutritional info is online, just input the calories, fat, carb etc.

  81. Kelsey Webb-avatar

This app is really great, super easy to use, especially with the barcode scanner feature. I've really slimmed down within the few weeks I've been using the app. I do have mixed feelings about the little faces that appear next to the foods I track, I feel discouraged to even eat small amounts of 'bad' food when I know that moderation is important. Does that make sense? Overall a really great app :))

  82. Kate Karch-avatar

Love the app, I just wish there was a way to set the ounces of water you drink a day. I have a 32oz water bottle and the presets (8.5 and 16.9) don't perfectly match that so it is hard to get an accurate reading. I'm always over or under shooting. Minor issue but it would make me so happy to see it fixed!!

  83. Sarah Ellis-avatar

Purchased the year of premium when it was on sale for 50% off. Tried to access my subscription and couldn't. Reached out to customer service to fix the problem and instead of emailing me back or contacting me at all they canceled my subscription. Now the sale is over of course, so the only way I could get back the subscription I ALREADY BOUGHT ONCE is to pay TWICE as much 😡😡

It's good. Could have more features like meal planning, but it is great for just logging intake. The plans they have are helpful if you already don't know what you're doing. If you have your own plan it's not so easy to set up. I'd recommend it anyway. Better than the other nutrition apps.

I wish the free version wasn't so pushy on the premium. Theres breadcrumbs everywhere redirecting you to a premium page begging you to upgrade. Also the calories the site lists are never exactly the same as the products nutrition facts, it'll be off even when I barcode scan foods. It's an alright app that tells me to drink water and how much to eat and it does it well enough.

  86. Aleksi Jalonen-avatar

A very easy-to-use, pleasing-to-the-eyes health tracker. The foods and exercises are easy and effortless to track, it tracks and shows your macros as well and the databanks for different products seem very complete. The only complaint I have is you can't change the size of the water glass the app tracks, it's either a 250ml glass or 500ml bottle. My glasses are closer to 200ml and bottles I use are 875ml ones. This makes tracking water intake accurately kinda cumbersome for people like me.

  87. Daniel Melia-avatar

Fantastic app normally (best of its kind) but there's a new bug where items disappear as soon as you add them to the diary. Once they're added and I go to the next day and back, or I click the item and go back, they're gone. It's basically unusable at the moment. Definitely have plenty of storage space. Changing this to four stars now it is fixed. Would be five if the premium version was more affordable.

  88. Ricky Taylor-avatar

It's a great app really love the bar code scanner it makes the job easier when inputting information about the food im eating.

  89. mitch boone-avatar

Like the app, scanning foods are super easy. I feel like the subscription service is not great, and way too expensive. A solid compromise would be to include a one time fee to "unlock" the differing diet options (as apposed to the standard option). Rather then a reoccurring fee. That change would cause the 3 star rating to shoot up to 5 stars.

  90. Lulu Brown-avatar

It was useful at the start, I loved the recipes but thought it would be useful to have an option to exclude certain foods due to dislikes, not just dietary needs. My main issue is that I cannot cancel/amend my subscription. Every time I try, it takes me to the Play Store, which for some reason isn't registering my subscription. It should not be this hard to stop an app helping itself to my money.

  91. Catharina-avatar

Good tracker, but it's a lot of work to track homemade food. Besides when you scan items it isn't always the right item or portion size that appears. The app could have made things easier and more accurate. Anyways, it's good enough and keeps track of your calories and protein/carbs/fat intake. You can add exercise as well, you can search for your activity and add it. It can also connect with fitness clocks like Fitbit etc.

  92. bingerhammer-avatar

I find the app layout really friendly and it feels more personalised than a lot of other health apps out there - plus, their premium subscription does help me lose weight 1. Because I've paid for it, I'm might as well use it and 2. As someone who suffers from pcos and has struggled to lose weight for years, I've lost 3kg the last couple months and that may not seem like much but to me it's freaking huge. Thanks lifesum!

  93. Lewy B-avatar

This app is pretty much useless without paying for it. That's fine, but they try to trick you into thinking there's lots of functionality in the free version. However, most buttons just lead to a payment screen. So you click 'more info', 'see recipe', 'choose meal plan' or whatever, and you go to the payment screen. That's sneaky UI design, not OK. Make it clear what parts of the app are free, and what must be paid for.

  94. Beth Slone-avatar

This app doesn't let you see the meal plan options. It requires payment before you can select a diet meal plan for yourself. I accidentally signed up not knowing this. I went to immediately cancel and it won't refund my money. I have no plan to use this app and they took $50 from my account. I want my money back.

Best app ever. It's not a diet. It encourages eating habits by educating you on calories as you use it; it rewards with intermittent positive affirmations and also sends occasional reminders' to drink water (no more than one a day). It is your choice ALL the way.

  96. Bunni Pop-avatar

For the most part I really enjoy the app. Just wish they'd give you the option to omit certain ingredients from the meal plan 👀 don't really wanna put cottage cheese together with apple slices and such.. I also feel like it should give you the option to save ingredients/items/food that you know you eat often so you don't have to keep re-entering it..otherwise I like it.

  97. Peach Penumbra-avatar

Using the free version and I've already lost weight after a week! I'm eating better, drinking more water + doing more exercise because I WANT to. The app is great encouragement and recording what I eat is easy and quick. I don't feel like I'm dieting I'm just being more careful. It gives you a cal guide for the day and meals, which is really useful. If you pay you can get recipes/diet plans, but I don't need them. I wish there was more info on what else the premium service offers.

  98. Michael Hansen-avatar

I am terrible at sticking with things: working out, eating healthy, apps that promise to help me with both.. but this app has caught my attention and I am here to stay. It's easy, intuitive, and allows you to get right to the point. I log my food after every meal, with minimal steps and buttons to do so, and I'm out. I love it.

  99. GrapeNelly-avatar

I've probably had this app for a little over three years now and I think one of those years I had premium. Most other apps are very stingy with their features unless you go premium but I've found this one to be the most generous even without premium. I love the faces it gives for whether or not your meal was in accordance with your goals and the option to scan barcodes as it saves me a lot of time. However, recording big homecooked meals on here are a hassle.

I love the app overall, it's the best option I found for keeping track of my lifestyle, but what irks me is how limited the free version is when it comes to feedback. I don't expect anything extreme, I get that there need to be resources to run and update the app off, which the advanced options are an exchange for, but the free Weekly updates are more irritating than helpful. I mean it's nice and dandy that the pts change, but would it be that much of an issue to add a one line commentary?
