I think there are some bugs in the software. I used to be able to multi-select more than one food at a time and add it to my log. Now things will only log if I open an entire item, edit the amount, and click add to meal (before I could just check it off my recents or a search and it would get added without the extra clicks of opening the item). Similarly, the "same as yesterday" option doesn't seem to work anymore. I've also had trouble creating recipes, foods I try to add dont always stay.

  2. Tiffany Carpenter-avatar

    Tiffany Carpenter

My one gripe with this app is the lacking food database, which I think is probably just due to the fact that it hasn't been around long enough to amass data from its users like some other older applications have (Myfitnesspal). Otherwise, the interface is fun & easy to use, and the Health Test is a nice way to keep yourself accountable with eating habits. It's on its way to being a great app!

  3. Rae Cavan-avatar

    Rae Cavan

I am type 2 diabetes and this app helps me see my daily intake of fat, protein, and carbs. It's more accurate than any other app I've used. It's user friendly and overall the set up looks really good. It's great for tracking food, water, exercise. I even found some good recipe ideas. My only complaint is the premium subscribe pop up. I already paid for the one year, but the pop up still pops up most times I open the app. I like the idea of choosing widgets & where on the dashboard too.

  4. Rina D-avatar

    Rina D

I love this app. I've lost 20lbs approximately. However, I miss the option to select recent lunches and dinners. It's an option they've removed. Another thing is when you scan the barcode you get incorrect information. These issues make it a bit cumbersome to use but everything else is awesome. I also like that you can't chat with others. It helps to maintain focus!

  5. Melissa Seymour-avatar

    Melissa Seymour

Easy to use interface and easy to track food. Don't understand all of the lifescore info. Ex. it says my sugar score is low but I don't add sugar to anything so I'm not sure if it's low because I'm getting too much (from fruit) or too little according to its algorithm. It's just not clear what's suggested to improve the scores. Also the weight loss graph is too simple - a table showing daily weight or ability to zoom in on the table and click individual weigh in would be helpful.

  6. Jimmy-avatar

Edit 2 (had to delete others for space): Lowering to 3 stars after using for many weeks. It IS worse than other apps with accuracy, very frequently I scan something and it doesn't match the package, and often I can't find the right quantity to match what I'm eating. Also there's no way to search my recent items, and unless I save them they go away too quickly.

  7. Danielle Garza-avatar

    Danielle Garza

It was promising but its kinda annoying. I cook meal prep but I can't add any more recipes than two on a free account. If I do a meal I have to figure out the portions of each food I made, but the point of using a calorie counting app is so the app can log it in for me. I like that it provides recipes and caters to my diet(although vastly limited when youre a free account) and I like that it tracks water intake but its so limited its not worth it but I cant afford a monthly plan rn.

  8. c m-avatar

    c m

Great for calorie counting, I've lost 5pounds just by tracking in a month. However none of the recipes are free. The premium version is expensive- €8.50 a month. I would recommend using this app for calorie counting and tracking, and use other apps such as the Pam app, which has some free recipes and the premium is only €2.50 a month.

  9. Kellynn Cheah-avatar

    Kellynn Cheah

love the interface design and app is easy to set up and use. one suggestion that would make it five star is to add tracking of sleep and meditation. these 2 are as essential to our overall health as diet and exercise and it'll be fantastic if the lifesum score can take into account the positive effects of good sleeping hygiene and mindfulness practices too!

  10. Allison Rhine-avatar

    Allison Rhine

I'm a MFP refugee. This app is everything MFP isn't. The interface is beautiful, adding a food doesn't take me 40 minutes, their prompts to get the paid version are present but not intrusive. The food database isn't quite as robust, but since you can add to it, it's not that big a deal. The widget is beautiful. I would like the ability to customize which information shows on the widget. I'd want my weight instead of water, as water is tracked on a different app.

  11. Alf Bugeja-avatar

    Alf Bugeja

Brilliant app as it provides you with so much info not just about your target or consumption but also recipe ideas. Well done let's have more. All screens are clear and easy to read and track information. All information has been well thought out. I must admit that I am a little disappointed that the set menus do not allow you to edit them in case you increase an item or delete such.

  12. Hia hara beara-avatar

    Hia hara beara

I love the app, but it definitely can be better. I think the barcode scanner is a great idea. The problem I have with it is that there are foods that have a verification mark, yet the nutritional information is wrong. How is it verified but still wrong? Also, the water tracker is annoying. The ounces aren't amounts we actually use. Who uses 10.1 fl oz? There's no way to set your own bottle size, you have to use the odd measurements in the app. I understand this isn't an issue for most though.

  13. Marlee Pop-avatar

    Marlee Pop

I used lifesum a very long time ago and loved it, lost 18 kilos. They have changed a few things since, ie if the food item is already in the system, a lot of them have different nutrition details to the labels on my food. I haven't figure out how to change it, there only seems to be a way to report it, so not really getting an accurate sum of my kjs. It's still very helpful though and is working for me.

  14. Denise Wallace-avatar

    Denise Wallace

It doesn't have a way for you to self calculate recipes based on ingredients you add it is mostly a catalog of pre-bought pre processed foods and it is impossible to add the correct amount of calories and it doesn't also give you the right calorie counts for a lot of the things you try to add. you have to go off what it suggests not what is accurate. It also will not let me add exercises that I've done outside of the app even though I have a gym pass and use the more accurate app for that

  15. Anastasiia Horban-avatar

    Anastasiia Horban

Perfect application, really healthy reasonable advices. Unfortunately, I have troubles with connection to Fitbit, when I am trying to login via google to Fitbit to connect from lifesum, i have error of unsupported browser. Version of Fitbit and lifesum is last Also I have one wish of improvement. You track vegetables, fruit, fish and meat, water for life score. It would be excellent if you also can automatically update trackers in main diary for these items

  16. Stefan Lundmark-avatar

    Stefan Lundmark

I wanted to like this. When I favourite ingredients, the Heart icon lights up but my favourites are empty. If I keep toggling then it eventually works. Same when adding ingredients to recipes, I pick something but it never gets added. You cant ask people to pay for this mess, sorry. Edit: Okay so if I press the + instead of the "Add to" button then it appears to get added every time. But wow, fix this! No, there's no reason to ask me to contact support. It's a bug, not an issue on my end. Fix it.

The best app ever! One of the first apps I install whenever I change my cellphone. I've used it for years, I guess it became part of my life :) It always helps me keep on track, and stay fit. It's easy, the featres are well- organized, it's colourful, it's fun!

  18. Kaitlyn Matson-avatar

    Kaitlyn Matson

I really enjoy this app! It's user friendly, has a pretty extensive food & exercise library for tracking (plus the option to scan food items to add them to your library), easy access to wellness articles & recipes, & it has all the reminders I want (to input meals, to drink water, and to exercise)! Bonus: it has a pretty interface with adorable graphics of fruits & veggies that act as your own personal cheerleaders!

  19. Christine Klein-avatar

    Christine Klein

Nice looking app. I was looking for a Paleo/Whole30 meal plan with a grocery list (this app was a recommended ad on those search results.) They only have a "vegan for a week" plan but I'll try that and see how it goes. I really just want to eat better with the minimum effort on my part so it is meeting that requirement. I'll try it for the 3 month plan and hope they come with more plans otherwise I'll probably cancel subscription at that point.

  20. Kawaii Animations-avatar

    Kawaii Animations

i wish I could just swipe left and right to see previous "daily progress" days rather than having to back out and view that day separately Edit: Can you add a "connect to Xiaomi MiBand/ MiFit" option please, Edit: since the seafood tracker is weekly, can the log carry to the end of the week, like if i log one portion on monday, it'll automatically log that fish for the rest of the week.

  21. Yixing Fu-avatar

    Yixing Fu

The app have pretty nice design and in general easy to use. But there are two big problems: 1. The database seem to have lots of error for branded food that I access by scanning bar code. The nutrition numbers are often off. 2. There need to be a convenient metric conversion feature everywhere, especially when editing food. When creating new food, it is always fixed at per 100g nutrition, which I believe is a contributing factor to the error I mentioned above.

  22. L.t. M-avatar

    L.t. M

Hands-down the best app to track your diet and exercise, even just writing down my food intake sometimes deters me from overeating and their food selection is HUGE so whatever you're eating, you'll find it. I've managed to lose weight for the first time in my life thanks to this app with just the free version and I will return to this whenever I need to lose weight. If you have portion control issues like me or just have difficulty sticking to your diet, I highly recommend Lifesum!

  23. Bacchatus Desiderium-avatar

    Bacchatus Desiderium

I'm having a hard time with this app. This is my second shot at it, this time I paid for the year's premium. I'm close to regretting it. I have some minor nitpicks. The interface is a bit on the clunky side. The shopping list only shows metric (recipes show metric and imperial), so I have to do a lot of converting. Sometimes the list is a bit on the ridiculous side. 1 tbsp of tomato paste? Who is selling it by the tbsp? What am I going to do with the rest of it, since it isn't included in any other meals for the week? These things aren't free and they don't keep forever. My biggest issue is cost of meals. I typically eat once or twice per day. The meal plan is four meals per day and I can't adjust this. Financially, this works out to about 25% of my income. I'm a medium-low earner and this is more than twice the national average. At the end of the day, I may end up having to eat the annual fee for this app instead of the pricey meal plan.

  24. Sumet Autapa-avatar

    Sumet Autapa

After a month of using this app, what I have found is that, it's your own determination that is what will make you loose your weight but this app, is a significant help as it gives you a visualisation to your day-to-day eating habit which is great If you are like me, who have bad self control. I highly recommend this app for anyone planning to loose weight as I have lost 4 kg already after a month of dieting with this app's help(and also an hour of exercise 4 days a week).

  25. Little Miss Ling-avatar

    Little Miss Ling

The plus signs against recently added foods (e.g. yesterday's lunch) have stopped working. Selecting them does nothing and I have to add each food manually again, even though I had the exact same meal yesterday. Please fix! 🙏 I used to quite enjoy this app but I might need to search for another one at this rate.

  26. Adele Walker-avatar

    Adele Walker

Free version is good, but search feature is rough. You have to be very specific about your spelling, and they don't have too many options. You have to pay to add your own items. Other than that, this app is wonderful. Clean interface, good amount of notifications to keep you on track, and really nice about reminding you of your goals

  27. Janitha Dilhani-avatar

    Janitha Dilhani

I've purchased the premium version. It really helps with controlling the calories. As my previous review, i like the barcode scanner. It really works. Plus now i can add my own meals and track them. I'd give 5 star if it has intermittent fasting plans too. It has the keto diet plan but i have to use another app to track my fasting. It would be great if they can be added or can be connected with fasting tracker app.

  28. Gabor-avatar

It's a great app with so much potential. Superb user interface. The developers clearly know what is missing from the competitiors' apps. The only thing missing for me is the option to be able to track more micros (vitamins and minerals). Are you planning on addig more in?

  29. emmanuel fax-avatar

    emmanuel fax

I bought a year of this on accident and was quite discouraged and depressed at the time. I've started to use it and I'm starting to see results. My eating habits are better I'm drinking more water and I'm exercising more despite having a part time job and school. It's honestly incredible how seeing statistics and numbers on progress can motivate someone. I've linked it up with Samsung health and now my journey has really taken off. I love this app and look forward to more progress.

  30. neesa mirakhur-avatar

    neesa mirakhur

This is seriously a great app to track what you eat and water intake... The only thing is if you actually want to follow diets and learn healthy recipes you will have to get premium... The app will still calculate how much you eat etc but i dont think there is anypoint getting this app unless you get the premium version 😃

  31. Kim McDonald-avatar

    Kim McDonald

I really love this app. Easy to set a goal and see the results...I've lost 4 pound in 2 weeks by sticking to the recommended calories for my goal and adding stationary bike a couple times a week. Really cool app.

  32. Walter-avatar

I've edited my previous 2 star review! Thank you! They improved the barcode scanner and now you can even enter it manually just in case. Perfect!!! I love that this app isn't confusing and simple for calorie counting!

  33. Cathy Lilly-avatar

    Cathy Lilly

Keeps track of food, how many grams of fat, protein, and carbs I still have. Even adds back calories for those I burn exercising. Let's me look back over previous days. Very helpful. Lists of foods, units Adjustable and many products by brand-name give accurate calories.

  34. Heather Heider-avatar

I have been very successful when I use this application. Enjoy the bar scanner help with i.d. of some foods. Also enjoy just tapping on favorite foods just stream lines input greatly. The little hints and suggestions throughout the day really can push oneself to do better.

  35. Georgina-avatar

the free version is very good, i might sub to the premium when i'm back in the gym. beautifully designed app, lovely features, cute stuff like glasses of water per day - actually amazing how it knows the barcodes to everything i've put in.

  36. Timo Hermans-avatar

    Timo Hermans

The nice thing is that it finally has a lot more Dutch products. Goodbye MyFitnessPal 😄 Update: Just paid premium, tried to connect through Fitbit but it gives a bad_useragent error when trying to log in to Fitbit with Google :(. Any chance this can get fixed? Thanks!

I have come across this application last month and I loved it. I would like to recommend it to everybody who wants to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. Everytime I put my meal's detail into it, I feel that I have accomplished something. XOXO

  38. Amy Gagnon-avatar

    Amy Gagnon

I have used so many diet tracker apps over the years and this is definitely my new favorite. The only thing I wish it had was a way to end the day (like myfitnesspal) when you are done for the day.

  39. Stuart Hooper-avatar

    Stuart Hooper

Recommends dairy, fish and poultry to vegan diets. Most vegan recipes are full of sugar/smoothies. No way of factoring in health conditions like thyroid problems. I paid for the full account but by the next day realised the benefits really aren't there.

  40. bruh moment-avatar

I cannot make an account, I wanted to get started losing weight (atleast try) but nothing works on the screen where you select from either google, facebook or email. I have tried 4 times now all on different occasions. It always says "try again later" help me I'm just a skinny fat dude.

I've only been using the app for 2 days. I like fine so far. It flexes with modifications I make. Lots of recipes that sound good. I like the diary a lot. It helos keep me focused.

  43. Amy Bath-avatar

    Amy Bath

It's only ok. I don't recommend for anything other than calorie tracking - with the free or paid version. I only downloaded the app for the sugar detox and after download no sugar detox. Then I assumed I needed the paid version of the app. I'm not pleased that I paid $34 for the paid version and still do not have access to the sugar detox or other 21 day plans. I checked the FAQs and the issue was not resolved. I contacted Lifesum through the app at least a week ago and no answer.

  45. zama joy-avatar

    zama joy

It's very easy to use and waaaaay better than carb manager which I wanted for my keto.Only with Lifesum you have to pay for premium to use the keto option.Otherwise its basically a food diary but it's worth using it than all other apps I have tried before. At first I had paid for it but stopped just bcz I got busy to log in my food. But premium is the best as gives you a wide range of choices on diet plans and tracking several things.Lifesum is the best.

  46. Racieroo-avatar

Great app. Easy to use and track weight, food, water and exercise. Shame the premium version is an annual subscription otherwise I'd consider it.

  47. emilie-avatar

Back in January 2020 I've managed to reach my goal of losing 8kg until the end of March bc of this app! And it has helped me to maintain my weight ever since and be more aware of what I eat during the day, highly recommend!

Love the app. Easy, simple user interface and love trackability. Love that can choose meal plans e.t.c. however for some reason today it won't sync with Google fit? Yesterday was fine, tracked the Google fit data and noted the calories I burnt but for today it isn't? I've hit the sync button in the auto track settings, I've disconnected it at both the Life sum and Google fit ends and reconnected them but to no avail. My Google fit is still taking my steps etc just it's not registering in lifesum

So, I have been using this for a while now, a month or so, I like it but what I find frustrating is that there are so many different values for the same food. For example fried egg has like 5 or so different food cal entries, surely a fried egg (even accounting for size) has a definitive value, not multiple. Devs? thoughts?

Still no Garmin integration after about a month. The UI is clunky sometimes. Whenever I add food, it's never as seamless and quick as it should be. Sometimes something pops up in the wrong place or not everything is loaded quite quick enough which can be annoying. Editing Food is bugged. It won't accept the calories I put in. No matter what number I put in the field, it stays red and says "calories seem wrong" (it probably is but that's what the label says...)

It's easy to use and has most products available via barcodes scan which is amazing. It could use small improvements like it doesn't let you set protein values on body weight instead of a percentage of total calories, and it has its own opinions about which foods or types of fat are healthy and not which I dont fully agree with, but it's a great app nevertheless. Highly recommended.

I used to like this app but recently they made it where your recent foods for each meal are no longer organized by day and meal. So what I ate for dinner is mixed into the recent foods I'm trying to pick from for dinner. If I eat an apple for breakfast every day this means I'll have to dig through a list of 10+ other foods instead of just picking the apple from the previous day. It is no longer convenient so I will be looking for a new app if this persists.

It's nice. Tracking could have worked better if one could link to an online recipe (for example, when you're eating something that you made using the app), or if there were more serving sizes (cup / tbsp...) for more food types. Grocery lists for every diet would be a nice bonus, so that you could prepare before you actually start a plan. Otherwise pretty nice

Almost Perfect. FIXED: shopping list should exclude past meals. Thank you so much! - Diets are great but I feel alone after the 3 week and the Keto Burn. Is it possible to have guided meal plans for the Balanced Diets? With shopping lists? - Family version. There are three people in my home. I'd like to cook for all three. Would definitely rate 5 stars if you could track micronutrients as well as macros! I purchased premium thinking this was a feature (that's my own fault for not paying attention haha) but alas it is not and I don't see myself sticking to using 2 different apps! (Too much scanning and repeated data.) Otherwise great app very user friendly, and a great way to keep track of general eating habits. If micro tracking was also within this app, it would be unstoppable. :)

It's been fantastic. This app is a great tool for anyone trying to do anything to change their lifestyle. The only thing I wish you had more was simpler recipes some of the recipes are very complex. Love this app, it has really helped me hone down on my eating along with my exercise regiman to get the best results. The only thing I don't love is there isn't an option to see recently logged foods in every category. For example, I usually take my left over dinner from the previous day for lunch. It doesn't let me easily see that in my lunch category for the following day so I can easily log it. I literally have to search every item in the recipe again.

Great app but recently changed the way you can select recently eaten foods so it takes longer and has far fewer things retained, forcing you to search and rework items since almost nothing is perfectly calibrated for whatever you need to find. Non paying users can't save more than 2 meals, so you'll constantly need to search for stuff you just ate last week but got bumped out of memory. Really irritating but otherwise, app works well at what it does.

I love your app but I would love to see under the exercising tab figure skating. Thank you, hopefully I'll see this small change in the future.

I love this app! I find it way more colorful and appealing than other apps that I usually see, the basic version feels fairly interactive, and has a very clear set up. BUT I really want a feature that allows notes for the day or a journal. Because when I want to look back on progress where I was more aligned with my goals, I don't know what happened that day. Other than that - I love this app!!

Its a decent app overall... Its a good app to count calories and i like the barcode scanner... Although when eating out, a lot of big name restaurants are missing. Also the "Food rating guide" thingy is kinda so-so... Like for example, it gives a better health rating to granulated white sugar (because its low in sodium) than a protein low sodium bread (just because its processed). Also the app only counts the basic nutriments, i wish it would also take into account vitamins etc

  101. Julie Wilson-avatar

Great app especially for keto as it helps count carbs and with premium it gives you rating on how well the food fits your diet, very handy when shopping to be able to just scan and get an idea if it'll work for you. Just wish you could add recipes from websites directly like some other apps I use.

I bought a 12 month subscription because I thought there would be a meal plan that would suit my needs (protein intake ~1g/body weight) while in a calorie deficit, and this app cannot be personalized to my requirements. I regret paying for this app, since there are tons of free meal planning apps better than this one. They should really do a free trial before asking you to commit, and it was my fault for not understanding better. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Honestly I am very disappointed with this tracking app. I was excited that it was cheaper than MyFiynessPal but quickly found out why. The features aren't the same, baroness don't work half the time. And they don't let you try premium before you buy it. And now I can't get a refund for my yearly subscription even though I won't be using it. I went back to MyFitnessPal and it is so much better. They really need to offer a Premium trial especially since you only have 2 days to return it.

I like the app for how it breaks down everything with C/P/F. And I like that you can try certain plans. But why I give this 4 stars is because I can't log in multiple food items in a single turn to add to my meal. I click one food item & it will take me back to the top, which then I have to scroll thro the entire drop down again to find the next item. It's kind of annoying.

  107. Elena Smirnov-avatar

I think this the first time I give one star to an app. The application is raw with heaps of bugs. I feel like it used to be better but now it's completely messed up. Recents are not working properly. You cannot easily add the recipes to tracking, and overall the app is not intuitive at all. The final nail was when my streak went to zero and would not get fixed despite of me tracking every single day. Wrote to support too many times, received never ending "we will forward to another team". Cancel

I was really hoping this would have meal suggestions that would fit my dietary needs in relation to healthy eating habits. I have GERD, which means I have to limit fats, acids, spices, etc. (That sounds niche, but it's just acid reflux triggers). However, it mainly seems to be pushing Keto. It has a nice interface for tracking your food intake, but you can do that for free on myfitnesspal. I don't think focusing on diet trends is a healthy way to think about food, so that kind of turned me off.

  111. Federico Castegnaro-avatar

    Federico Castegnaro

Great app, nice UI, it's very simple to use and most important thing it does what it should, helping you to keep track of how much you eat and I can already see the improvements after a short use. The reason why it's a 4 star to me is that there are some things missing in my opinion, I'd like more plans for fasting for those who like me fast every day and some more customization when looking at the graphs for the body weight, like deleting data from years ago.

  112. Constance Khoo-avatar

    Constance Khoo

Great interface and so easy to use! Love the recipes and suggested meal plans! The breakdown of my intake of carbohydrates, fats and protein is great, but I would love to see how much each food I eat contributes to each category! Overall, a very useful app to keep track of your diet.

I like the color palette they chose. It is easy to use and the free version is pretty good, while the pay version improves it for those who want a little more help on their food control. I do not give 5 stars because, of three things. First, I believe there is a bug when you register new food and the app triea to rate it staying gray. Second, change back the recent food dropdown to showing the recent food for that meal only and not every single food. Third, I liked the last glass icon better.

  114. Kylee Lewis-avatar

I use the free version of this app to keep track of my water and food intake, and I love it! You can scan barcodes, and the app saves a lot of the most recent ones you have used so you don't have to scan them again. You can also just search for things if you don't have a barcode. And you get a breakdown of your micronutrients, though more detailed information is included with the paid plans. This is a great app, very aesthetically pleasing as well!

I wish you could add friends in the free section. You can send invites to friends but I'm not seeing a section where you can track progress. Also, it would be great to add multiple food items not single items. You can log what you ate the day before in bulk and then just edit if you didn't have everything. I love that it tracks C/P/F. Again if you pay for premium then you get to see recipes, other important nutritional values too.

  116. Stacey Carroll-avatar

I cook everything from scratch. I input two recipes which was quite tedious since you have to add each ingredient separately. Then I tried to add the third recipe and was told I could only add up to two recipes. I. Cook. Everything. From. Scratch. There is no possible way this program would ever work for me or anyone who does a lot of cooking. I wish they would have listed this from the beginning so that I would know not to download it.

  117. Angus-avatar

I was paying for a subscription but stopped because I wasn't happy with the library of barcodes. Is there any action on your end to add accurate barcodes or is it all user generated? If I were to pay again I'd want to know that anything I scanned in Sainsbury's would come up. I don't want to input the info myself. If it's missing maybe I could take a picture of the package and you could input it for the user. Just some thoughts. Otherwise I love your cheerful apple, keep up the good work

Overall this is an easy to use and straightforward food and water tracking app. The food choices in the catalog coordinate well with my diet and it has an extensive list of exercises to pick from. Very poor app. Expected a meal plan app that creates a meal plan for you, it doesn't. All it does is give you a list of recipes and you create a meal plan. Not worth the money, definetly would not recommend. Way better apps out there that actually plan your meals with macros and calories to suit goals. AVOID AVOID AVOID

  121. Daniel Blumenfeld-avatar

The rating is the result of a really scummy move they made to get me to make in app purchases. The app asked me to fill out a questionnaire which took time to complete. At the end of it, the results/ recommendations were there, but I would have to pay for the results. I understand you need to be profitable - but using tricks? Why not just say at the start that if I wanted answers to the questionnaire, I could sign up? Why trick me? Because of that, I'll find another app instead.

The app was fine until the last release (a few months ago) made it really inconvenient to enter the food from past meals. Before if I enter breakfast I could see food from previous breakfasts, now it's either "same as before" (who has exactly the same breakfast every single day?) or a long list of all the dishes for all meals, so now it's often faster to scan the barcode again then to find it there. Also the list of foods is crowdsourced and totally uncurated so there are lots of entries of questionable quality (someone entered strange calories).

  125. Cryo G.-avatar

Pretty good so far - trying to use this to help my roommate who has special dietary needs. Would like it to be easier to override the existing entries for barcodes though - if I have defined the data myself, let that be the entry that comes up on scan! (Some of the existing data is off.) Also a humble request for tracking heart health diets (low cholesterol, saturated fat, and sodium). We don't care as much about counting calories as counting other metrics.

Been only a user for 3 days! Pretty cool app so far! However, why don't you just guys make it possible to create a meal out of what you ate? All those tagged ingredients just simply go straight into 'create a meal'. Instead, I have to fill it up again, wasting time sometimes. And next to create a meal just make a button: 'create a new meal' - for making a meal from scratch.

I was interested in tracking macros. I downloaded My Fitness Pal and LifeSum and started recording my meals. I right away noticed how much easier LifeSum was to use but when I googled best macro apps, everything kept sending to My Fitness Pal. I don't understand why. LifeSum is so much friendlier to use. It has quickly become my go to for recording and managing my meals. I used the free app for a long time and then tried the premium. Either way it is my favorite for content, stat's, recipes.

I used to love this app, however after logging into it after not using it for months I see everything that used to be free (like changing your type of meal plan, ei. Keto, vegan, etc, is now behind a paywall). Every time I go to a new page it feels like I'm getting pop ups for premium, which is just annoying.

  129. Simone-avatar

I love the app overall. I meal prep, so the ability to create meals with multiple foods and add them with one click is great. The only downside is the water tracker. There are set options for fl. oz. amounts and none of them match with the bottles I drink out of (usually 24oz or 16oz, pretty standard in the US). Please allow people to enter the amount of oz they drank instead of how many "bottles"!

  130. Natalie-avatar

I love the interface. The carb and fat tracking feature are great. I don't see that on other apps. Lifesum can you update the app so when I have to leave the app for an unexpected reason it brings me back right to where I left off? Please add more low carb desserts and drinks in your receipe catalog. Sync up with Hello Fresh and other meal services and add their meals to your app. Lots of people use those and it would be helpful to not have to add them in myself. Will continue to use this app 😊

Overall a very good way to track your nutrition intake including sugar levels, and lifestyle. One facility that does not seem to be available is to manually input nutrition information per portion when working from a recipe. Edit: After update the functionality has got worse in that you used to be able to search recent food by meal, (breakfast or dinner etc). You now only get all recent food no matter which meal you are inputting, so have to scroll through more listings to find what you require.

So easy to use and track your meals. I've lost almost 20 pounds just paying attention to my macros configured by the app based on my goals and watching my portion sizes. I don't feel like I'm dieting, just more aware of the impact of what and how much I am eating.

I tried the premium for a few weeks. This app is weight centric. The meal plans are weight centric and meals are defined by caloric intake.

I really liked this app on iPhone, unfortunately, it's really glitchy on my new phone and I have to enter meals multiple times because when I close the app, it loses anything I've already input. I also prefer that the iPhone version gives you an overall smiley face rating per day... As other users have mentioned, there are often many entries for a single food, so if you select the wrong thing, the calorie count/macros can be way off

I quite like this app and paid a month subscription to access keto. But you don't allow members to change the grams of carbs, you only have 3 fixed keto plans with set carbs. Awesome app but I need to be able to set the start and end time of my day. My day does not end at midnight when the app resets it's targets. Seems like such a basic thing. Other than that it's a 5 star app. If it's fixed I will probably subscribe.

Enjoying the app a lot. The food database can be a mixed affair. Many duplicate and differing entries, and for someone who is using a food scale to weigh by the gram, the per gram measure can be off by as much as 40% with some foods vs. doing math with the food label. The reminder frequency for things like weight and water is too fast sometimes as well (weigh myself 2-3 times a day...?) Automatic exercise tracking works perfectly with my other apps. But, it WORKS!

Inconvenient to enter foods and bad data. This is a subscription app that wants money every month, yet many of the foods from national chain restaurants are incorrect. Why does the app not preferentially show me foods I've selected previously? Switched to different app that cost much less and the foods are more acurate and easier to identify/select. Find myself avoiding app because food entry will be a long haul search every time and then often there are multiple entries that are different.

It's great! but.. "Weight Lifting/Strength Training" integration through Google Fit gets imported to the apps Diary- exercises, but Life Score ignores it for some reason, which ruins the score and recommendations. I can't be bothered to manually track every exercise, as it as would be the third app i'd have to do that with. And if I would track it manually, I would just create a duplicate of the already imported training which falsely would double my burned calories/steps from that exercise.

Does what it says very well. I use this app to help me track what I eat, physical exercise, drink and my weight. It has a huge amount of food already in its data base. Other apps are very limited in this aspect. It can remind you what to eat, drink, when to do exercise, etc if you want. It also has an allergy section It has a rating based on your lifestyle and shows you where to improve. One star less as l get a lower lifestyle rating as I don't eat fruit but I eat plenty of vegetables.

Also now keep forgetting to log veg fruit and weight as they are now all right at the very bottom instead of the top. Old layout months back was far more friendly to use. You can choice water to be top or bottom but you can't choose veg or fruit or weight so it gives me low scores as I never remember then as I never scroll past the snacks part.
