Good app, easy to use, offers discounts in addition to Lidl's already low prices. Keeps a track of your till tickets so you can check them on your phone later if you need to. The only niggle I found is that it is offered only in the language(s) of your country. In my country, English is the third major language and it would be helpful to have this app in that language too. (I wrote this review in English as that was the option offered on Google Play 😀)

nrw Since the last update. The app doesn't always load. It says the data connection is broken. That's rubbish. As I have unlimited data. And all my other apps, including supermarket apps load. I even get the same problem when I'm stood in Lidl using there WiFi. It worked perfectly before the update. The seven (7) day limit on vouchers is awful. Sort it out Lidl. PLEASE.

  3. Richard Benson-avatar

wlan Great app overall. 2 problems I have found with it. 1) Quite often the card doesn't scan. 2) When the card doesn't scan, you can tap in the number. That is sensible. BUT, the card number is tiny on the phone app. I have good eyesight and O find it tough. Must be really hard for people qith poor eyesight to read their card number!! Generally though, I am impressed. Great app to keep customers loyal.

wlan anmelden I'm very pleased with the offers and the QR Card, myself as I have internet & mobile data, on my mobile phone. However, my 86 year old Dad, whose a regular customer, and many others in his position, haven't got a device or access to the card. Speaking on their behalf, it seems a shame and unfair, that they're unable to reap the same benefits. I hope Lidl will take this into consideration, and bring out a physical card, like Tesco, which is easier to use, and saves time at the till.

  5. Alison Griffiths-avatar

    Alison Griffiths

app installieren kostenlos Very easy to use, my only criticism is that if you haven't got your phone then you can't add your receipt afterwards. It would be useful also to have a card for those people without the ability to use an app. Also can more than one person use the same account, such as family members, can they have it on their phone, one account, 3 users?

  6. James Crossland-avatar

coupons Overall this is a decent app and should help Lidl reduce their paper usage by not printing as many leaflets. I think a week is too small a time frame to use the money off "rewards" as in these days of Covid I try to leave as long as possible between visits to try and limit my exposure to large congregations. Two weeks would be better, even if it came with the condition of a minimum spend amount.

  7. Dawn Murphy-avatar

app Easily useable, but you do need to have data services available to use it, which is a bit of a pain. The vouchers on offer unfortunately have short dates. I like having the leaflets available on the app, as I often see something I want and then forget it from the paper leaflets. I think that it would be nice option to be able add to an integrated shopping list from the coupons or leaflets, I would find that a very useful addition. You can get money off coupons if you spend enough in a month. That's problematic and discriminates against single people or those on a fixed income, a minimum of £100 spend in a month, and I do find it morally reprehensible to encourage people to spend more. It could have been set up just to give a coupon off for £100 spend over an unlimited length of time, with a maximum per month spend if they want to limit it.

  8. SJD-avatar

mydealz So far so good! The app works fine (TIp...if the app won't scan on the machine at checkout, hold your device further AWAY from the scanner. Works then 🙂) I would like reminders to activate the coupons though as I missed out one week. But it's good. I use it every week, I scan and pack my own stuff in my own time, use the app then pay and go! Thanks! NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: The opening times on the app for the Bridgwater Somerset store are wrong. They open every day at 7am NOT 8am. I go at 7am.

kontakt Worth getting - gotta admit, even as a fairly seasoned supermarket app user I found it a tad user unfriendly to begin with, but I love the idea of not having to hold a physical loyalty card. And your still get decent offers and money off vouchers - hard to believe they can do that, given how cheap the food is. I really like the scratch card thing! A bit of fun and a really neat idea. 🙂

  10. S Bell-avatar

    S Bell

size You must check with the checkout operator that your card has registered every time. Some shops have faulty scanners which sound as though they have registered the card but haven't. Lidl refuses to credit you with your spend even if you have a valid receipt with all the transaction details on it. Other supermarkets are more reasonable when you provide proof of payment. This is particularly relevant if you make large purchases.

  11. Ryan Epton-avatar

    Ryan Epton

Works well, although it has happened rarely where despite the checkout assistant saying the card has been scanned, the vouchers don't get applied and customers services can't apply the discount and include the total in your monthly total. It would be great if the app could tell you how much you'd saved over the lifetime of having the app.

  12. Karen Raynor-avatar

    Karen Raynor

Think this is a great app for coupons and getting money off vouchers for what you have spent. On downloading app got £5 off shopping too. Down side voucher date is very limited time to use, glad I shop regular, you cannot save like other stores. If you do not have your phone at the time of shopping you cannot add your shopping amount after, which was a sting and for me missing out on a ten pound voucher as my phone battery ran out grrr!!? But still greatful for the bonus savings 👍

  13. Jacqui Lawson-avatar

    Jacqui Lawson

The app is ok. No issues downloading. The only issue is with the coupons that you activate. When you activate and purchase the item, always check with the cashier before you pay, that all the discounts have gone through. As, sometimes they don't and you have to re-activate. The cashiers say this happens often.

  14. Sharon McBride-avatar

    Sharon McBride

Unfortunately it's been a bit of a disappointment so far. Of my experience, staff never mention the card at checkout. This means there is a high risk people may forget to use it everytime they shop. I missed out on using the original discount offered for signing up to the app as my time limit elapsed. Had staff been asking about it at checkout this would not have happened. Given the nature of the time limits on all offers I feel staff should be reminding customers to use the app.

  15. Michaela V.-avatar

It's nice Lidl has loyalty card now but some tweets are needed. Like discount vouchers, you cannot use two at the same time. You cannot use them on two separate occasions if it's within the same day which I think is not fair. You gave me the discount but then I can only use one and next day to go and use the other one. I do only shopping once a week as it's in different city.

  16. Julie Oliveira-avatar

    Julie Oliveira

Pretty bad app, very difficult to scan the virtual card (might be the cashier machines used who knows), just realized most of my shopping trips are not logged on the app. Also not as intuitive as other supermarket apps, maybe tries to cram too much info and ends up not being successful at its basic purpose. Work needed to make it competitive.

  17. Bina Vala-avatar

    Bina Vala

Appreciate the savings coupons but feel a little gutted that once you've hit the £100/£200 mark you are only given 7 days to redeem your discount or it disappears and that it doesn't stay on until you need it. I shops regularly at least twice a month and easily spend up to £200. Just feel we should be able to keep our rewards until we need it or at least save them up

  18. Robin Laws-avatar

    Robin Laws

Great app, track receipts, little lucky dip with the scratch cards, I like the online magazine rather than get a paper on, I really like that in particular, coupons not quite evolved to the point of being targeted, that is possible, predictive analytics, I'd urge Lidl to look at that. So my vouchers are aimed at me, at the right time, can also work with suppliers to try to tempt me away from brand loyalty. Good app. I use it every shop.

  19. J Farren-avatar

    J Farren

Good only. When you reach a target for certain time, it will give you a voucher, ie £2 for the first £100, but this is only good for 7 days. I do my shopping once a week, mostly Saturdays, and if i decide to go shopping Sunday instead of Saturday i would lose the £2. So why only giving it for 7 days instead of longer time like any other supermarkets?

  20. Gary Coulson-avatar

    Gary Coulson

easy to use but couple of things I not impressed with. 1 when you earn a reward at £200 spend it doesn't matter if you spend more that month it should count toward next month's reward and you can't spend a winning scratch card with a reward forcing you to loose it or make another shopping trip. to me that would encourage me to shop with competitors to continue earning rewards once I have maximum reward with lidl as loyalty is no longer paying.

  21. Jeff Williams-avatar

    Jeff Williams

Much bigger rewards than a certain big rival, especially as every little helps. One improvement would be to let stores add on your purchase if you forget to scan the app, I missed out on reaching my £200 target sooner when I forgot to scan it on a £53 purchase, I now have to go back during lockdown to take advantage of the reward.

  22. Gym Martin-avatar

    Gym Martin

Working well now. Very slick with electronic receipts and coupons automatically used once active. Coupons could last longer though; 7 days is too short. Also 1/5 scratchcards win which is what it said in advertising ; you basically waste your time scratching the other four - annoying. Won a £1 off shopping and activated it on the day I got the £2 off for a £100 spend accumulation and found I couldn't activate that until the £1 was spent ffs!

  23. Sandra Davies-avatar

    Sandra Davies

Halfway to spending £100 to qualify for voucher. Spent £29 and scanner beeped and assistant confirmed it. BUT it did not add it to my total and customer services could not add it manually either. Won't manage to qualify for the voucher by the end of the month now. Disappointing. Will not be trying to spend in order to get the voucher in future. Other store schemes are far better.

  24. Nicola D-avatar

    Nicola D

It's pretty great. Instant savings instead of accumulating millions of points for next to no reward. BUT it has a tendancy to need scanning twice at the till due to connection errors that show on the till screen. When opening up the qr code/card page sometimes it says unable to show coupons even when all coupons are activated and then its finger crossing time that they will work. I've had one occasion where its scanned fine and nothing has come up on the app as having been used.

  25. Lisa Flint-avatar

    Lisa Flint

The app itself works well and is user friendly with the exception that it is alienating those without a smartphone and it only gives you 7 days to use your coupon rewards. Which I wasn't aware of with September's target. Love the %off coupons but again, would be better if they were there automatically without having to be activated.

  26. Kevin Westbrook-avatar

    Kevin Westbrook

Much better than other supermarket apps. In particular, the way the coupons work is really convenient. Would be 5 stars, but it needs a network connection, which, ironically, you don't have sometimes in the shop. It needs to have the option of storing coupon details on the phone.

  27. Stephen Ameson Jebb-avatar

    Stephen Ameson Jebb

Great but room for improvement. Fantastic app and good voucher discounts but not always linked to what your shopping for weekly . There is room.for improvement, £ 2 0ff when you spend 100, and then £10 if you spend 200 hardly very rewarding or fair to loyaly reg customers who are solo and may only spend £100 to £140 monthly. Think you even the balance out so its fairer lidi .

  28. Siobhan O'Connor-avatar

    Siobhan O'Connor

Some nice features to this app. Can be difficult see details of products for sale on their brochure though. Would be nice to have a zoom (not tap for a bit of a zoom!) feature to see the brochure more clearly. Also, why not just activate weekly specials in one go instead of separate activations? Like the receipt feature.

  29. Neil Cooke-avatar

    Neil Cooke

Works when it wants to (when it's enticing you to spend £200 in a month to qualify for a £10 voucher against your next shop) but not when you try to redeem it. Made me 20 mins late for work today and left with nothing because the voucher wouldn't work. Staff told me to ring customer services. Will be using the voucher then never setting foot in a lidl again. Great bit of business for aldi, this app

  30. Christine Sorce-avatar

    Christine Sorce

Would prefer loyalty card as to keep getting your phone out is a pain..didn't get my 5.00 of coupon and when i did it wouldn't work! You can't add points at checkout if you forget to use your phone, have contacted customer services but still waiting for response🤔. Personally i think you should have the option of a card or using the phone app if its your choice. A lot of the older generation would find difficult as well

  31. Mike Brown-avatar

    Mike Brown

Easy to use. Good discounts so far. Keep it up. However, I do haver a few issues. 1. You have a digital receipt and still print physical one in store. Why? 2.When a coupon plus win is applied e.g. £10. Instead of taking £10 off the total bill, it takes a fraction of each item you purchase e.g. -0.33p, -0.26p. This is completely unnecessary and doubles the length of the receipt as the discount is applied to each line item. Waste of paper again and screen real estate for digital receipt. 3. If you have two discount coupons they cannot be applied at the same time e.g. 25p and 75p or 25p and a £10 coupon plus. Again why not? The coupons have a very limited life - only 7 days. In these COVID times shoppers should be limiting the frequency of trips to the store and coupons should ideally be valid for 30 days.

    Carol Doree

Very easy to use, scratch cards a bit of fun. Saved £13.50 on my shopping last month... didn't buy anything extra though can be tempting just to use the discount vouchers. Note £10 off won't work if there is alcohol in your shopping...I just separated my shopping and got money off food element then paid for alcohol separately.

  33. Andrei Predescu-avatar

    Andrei Predescu

It's fine, but half the features don't work. I just got home and I wanted to check my digital receipt which is missing. I checked the paper one and it seems like the discounts were applied, so the code was definitely scanned, but I still have no in-app receipt. Then, the shopping list works, but not as you'd expect. You'd expect to check the catalog and be able to add items which is far from true. I actually use Google Keep for my shopping and I don't miss anything.

Since the last update of the App ,I shopped twice with my money off coupons .I scanned my App in the store both times ,I got the money off but my receipts didnt go on to to the digital app also a didnt got any scratch cards . The other was which I do feel let down was that my spend of both times didnt go on to coupon plus go I wont get the £2 off which is so unfair. I have read some other reviews and it seemed to have happened with other people ,please sort this out.

Not bad for a first attempt. The vouchers you get for spending £100 or for winning on a "scratch card" have a very short validity period of only seven days. I don't see the need to have to activate the vouchers on the app before using them, they still expire just as quickly whether you activate them or not. I've missed out on several through not having activated them.

  36. Valentin Vajarov-avatar

Downloaded the app, selected the country, filled out all information and when I got to the point when I am supposed to get the 6 digit confirmation code, nothing happend. Requested code again - same thing. Tried registering a new profile again after 20 mins. Same thing - no email, no code. Pathetic. This review applies to Bulgaria.

Is rubbish! If you activate your coupons few days prior your shopping day they deactivate.. So always need to make sure right in the shop they all good to go. Card not always scans although it beeped and flash at self checkout. I had just over a pound to spend on last day of the moth to get my £200 reward. Yes I will go back and just grab something to go through. Seriously somebody work hard on it to make us spend more. scratch cards makes you go back, shop again cos they only valid limited time

Used for a few weeks now, was OK for 2 visits. Then trouble getting scanner to read QR code. Today was final straw, cashier told me it had read code. Came home to find it hadn't read code or deducted money off vouchers. Then the cashier scanned a wholemeal loaf after entering a code and it rang up £52.50 for 70 loaves. Hung around for a supervisor to delete the mistake. Will use until end of month then I'm binning it, it's not worth the hassle, will go back to Tesco.

I like the idea, my phone is too old, but a photo shot of my card works and saves loading the app at or pre visit, Thanks Lidl. However, yesterday app scanned OK, but no discount on coupon products and no overall increase in total spent (on £49 transaction) too stressful. Till operator advised phone customer service to complain.

App seems ok but isn't odd that the prices gone higher same % just before app started to be advertised? Not to mention the coupon trick. I activated a coupon and hunted it's product every day, starting from two days before you can get unlocked. As a miracle, that product (like others from promotion) was gone missing from shelf's and employee said "out of stock, ppl buyed the product coz was at offer", but wasn't so. One hour after coupons expired i saw the product stuffed on shelf again. Shame

We love shopping at Lidl and now there's the app it makes it is even better. We love all the products and prices, and when there's special occasions like Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas there are so many lovely things. My husband loves all the DIY offers and so much more . Thanks Lidl for making shopping sucha pleasant experience.

Nice and quite useful app BUT... You must "activate" a coupon/money off reward is annoying & is also causing delays at checkout as people try to do it while being served or in line. Why is this, especially seeing as many have missed out getting the offers etc due to not activating at all. Surely the computers know what you have bought & when you scan then the app can apply all that it can automatically. Furthermore the 7 day validity is too short in these COVID19 days! Nice e-Reciepts however.

    1. After installing the app and registering got a message "something went wrong". Reinstalled the app, "something went wrong" again. On working connections, both wifi and mobile data, to be sure. 2. After receiving request from developer to change the review and having used the app for three weeks, raising the score to two stars. The server is up most of the time, but not always when I need it. it was down again today when I wanted to activate coupons before going to the store. I am carrying now on me a printed screenshot of the member QR code, in case the app will be down again when I am at the store checkout. The mobile connection in the store is not here to blame. My recommendations: a) change the code so that the display of the member card's QR will not be delayed by the timeout for the unresponsive server, b) add a tab for weakly campaigns of national cuisines. And of course improve the server's up time.

Great well thus far every receipt available to view in my shopping list. Just wish they would get the pricing correct and charge at the till as price marked on the item. Also I know we have Coronavirus to worry about but a 15/20 wait at the checkout is just far too long it needs to be addressed either short on staff or not looking at length of line waiting.

  45. Valentin-avatar

Can't use it. I'm not receiving a code for registration. I tried 12 times during the last 8 days. I got one code but it doesn't work. The registration page opens in some random browser, I have no idea what that is. If it would open in Firefox i could keep the page stored in cache and type the code a day later if needed. I hope I can use past receipts because I have quite a few of them saved up, waiting for this app to allow me to register.

My usage of this app is fairly recent, but I have a suggestion to make: You should allow for language change for the UI and non-dynamic content without having to change the country (or, at the very least, allow for copy+paste option in order to use machine translation engines outside the app).

This app is amazing, you can save money without any hassle, it records your receipts digitaly, so you don't have to worry if you lose the paper version and want to return something, you also have free scratchcards and coupons, you can view the latest magazines, and be ahead on whatever new things they are putting out for sale , and you have your card digitaly, so you can scan it at the checkout, and you can use the digital card without needing WiFi or wasting your mobile data

Thanks and kudos for you guys.

TOTAL waste of time. After numerous attempts when my phone says it's installed, till operators say it is, then say it's scanned. When I get home the phone says "something went wrong. Try again". Bad ,stupid application, useless and time consuming, avoid using it.For example it needs mandatory your favorite magazine, only one in order to use benefits ONLY there. But what to do if I use many different magazines accros the country? Also you cannot go further if you not select your favorite magazine.Seemsbl like stupid marketing done it together with bull$#1t programmers. As usually today...

I love this app. Not only do I get my shopping at a great price but if you spend £200 in the month you get an extra £12 off. £2 once your reach £100 and an additional £10 when you reach £200. The weekly coupons are great too. Giving a % off different ranges.

Prior to our local Lidl opening we shopped at Morrisons for years without earning any rewards with their loyalty card. The app is great too, all your receipts are digitally stored and I haven't encountered a single crash or problem.

After being forced to update the app it has now slowed down considerably and after finding a lot of the offers either rubbish or not on the shelves I no longer bother with it. From the perspective of the app itself, it's ok. But the whole Lidl plus idea is a waste of time, and absolutely useless in comparison to the coupons and discounts that other retailers like Dunnes give for instance. More of a gimmick to grab people's attention and make them think they got something out of it when in reality no one's gonna go mad over winning a coupon for 1 euro off their next shop.

Fantastic app, loads of coupons and chances to win money off. Plus it tracks your spend so you know how much you have spent in a month and when you reach certain amounts you get more money off. Tells you what bargains are on this week. I'm really pleased with it.

My app wouldn't work for my first 3 or 4 goes but since has been ok. The cashier said they been having teething trouble with the scanners, but it seems to have been ok since. My local lidl is in a differant safety level at the moment so havnt been for a while and there have not been many staff wearing there masks. Most just have them under their chins. So I will only go when necessary instead of every day .

First there was confusion as not even the staff knew that there were two Lidl apps - and I had downloaded the wrong one and didn't get my£5 of my first shop! Then twice my card hasn't worked - and, yes, I did have my data on! It is an extra fiddle at the till point which in covid times is not what I need! Terry

I just moved to a Huawei P40 Pro today and this is the only app so far that doesn't work after moving it over. It seems to REQUIRE google services to work, even though most apps don't. Hopefully Lidl will put it on the Huawei app store soon, or tweak it to work without Google services, so that somebody can upload it to one of the APK websites. Besides that it's been working fine. I'm going to miss it.

Have had no problems with the app. It's good quality if you have a large family and spend 200 hundred pounds in a month as you get a 10 pound off voucher, however they need to give you at least 14 days to retrieve rather than 7 days. Would have given 5 stars if rewards improve.

Needs some work, the contact us page needs to auto populate with your customer number, and you cant accept standard image files taken with a mobile phone for upload? And 2mb limit? Its 2020 I have to rescale photos to get them that small! Also make the card avaliable offline i have never been able to get signal in a lidl store! 😁

  61. Lizzie Palmer-avatar

The Lidl app has made it easier for us to save by giving easier access to the vouchers. The app is very scrooge like with the scratch cards though. We have spent over £200 in a month and a half over several different shops and have not once won so much as a packet of crisps!

Great app but not much use if you're in a Lidl store with no WiFi or mobile signal. Another issue I've found is that when I used a £5 off £25 voucher, the reduction didn't show on my digital receipt. I had to check my paper receipt to see if I got my £5 reduction.

Love using this app. Looks good visually. Has everything inside that you'd need to go shopping at Lidl: leaflets, promotions, scratch cards, &c. Better yet, all your shopping receipts are kept in one place. Use it for about 2 months and never gave me any trouble. Highly recommended!

  64. Laura Russell-avatar

    Laura Russell

Loving this app. So easy to use. Money off coupons for things you buy regularly every time you shop and points towards money off your shopping every month. That's on top of the good value for money that Lidl represents anyway. Now that's what I call a loyalty card.

  65. Juan Velásquez-avatar

    Juan Velásquez

The card doesn't work when I buy groceries. They told me to call the help line, I did, went again to lidl, same problem and they just said that it has to be solved through the help line, so I called once again, and once again went to buy groceries... Same problem... Therefore, the application is useless. It only shows the weekly discounts, but it's of no use for lidl plus at all.

I have used the app twice so far. Have to remember to turn on mobile data, and this was not working first time. Today I found it was slow to load my digital receipt. Only loaded one hour after the transaction. It is an age thing, but it will take me a while to get used to it

  67. Chun Lin-avatar

I love this app - nice neat UI, e-receipts looking just the same as the paper ones, good weekly offers and lucky draws after each shop! I only wish there can be a search box in the "included items" of the weekly offers, so that I don't have to scroll through some really long lists several times to confirm that the item I'm interested in is on the list.

  68. Andrew Hacker-avatar

Easy to use and informative. I really appreciate the electronic receipt making it so simple to track spending. Finally, the offers and vouchers over time will make a big impact. So in closing, good work and a step forward into the future of point of sale.

The coupons and money off are okay but you have to have a minimum spend each month that resets and flat money off coupons from spending X amount expire within a week of getting them. Places like Tesco and Sainsbury's let your points add up. There's no excessively restrictive time limits on lidls competitor loyalty schemes.

  70. Julie Parkin-avatar

    Julie Parkin

Works fine. Think coupons plus should be valid for longer than 7 days. . I'd just done my fortnightly shop and got £10 Coupon but need to use it in 7 days. I only shop once a fortnight so cannot use. It is encouraging people to make more trips to supermarket which is not a good thing especially with Covid.

Couldn't find bread on coupon. Apart from end shelf with non perishable coupon items, they're generally difficult to find. (Also, where's all the high cocoa content chocolate??? Over 80% is the healthiest!! And most delicious!!) App is great idea. Suggestions: App works offline, so activated coupons are listed on Lidl plus screen Vegetarian alternative to meat coupons Some teething problems with app: 'scratch card' doesn't always appear Coupons deactivated themselves last night??!

The app is quite explicit. The only reason I am not giving it a five star is because, there has been a few times I have forgotten to scan the app before purchase and have missed out on points and no way of recrediting my account. That for me is a major snag.

  73. John Carr-avatar

Any reason why I have to log in to the app every time I want to use it? Apart from that really annoying "feature", I'd give it 5 stars but 3 for now. Edit - been using this app for a while now and changed my rating to 5. App is working great and am getting lots of good deals and the occasional freebies 🙂

  74. Kelly Doxford-avatar

    Kelly Doxford

Only works when it wants to, the WiFi in-store never works and there's no signal in the store. Coupons only work sometimes and then most expire before you can use them. App is forever saying try again later when you try to open it so you can't activate coupons, activate them before you go on the store and they don't load on the card when you go to pay as no internet connection.

  75. Henrieta Gelatková-avatar

Great reward system compared to other retailers. There are weekly coupons that give you 10-30% off certain items, and you also get "scratch cards" for purchases that may have small discounts on them. You can also browse the weekly leaflets in the app, saving some paper.

Cant rate 0 stars. Not worth the bother. Out of 3 trips, twice I've not been able to use the offers coz the system doesn't work!?! Bought extra items that were covered under the vouchers but instead of saving money I ended up spending more. Just Lidls way of making more money but trying to make you feel like you're the one saving. Not one little bit impressed

Downloaded app as making large expensive shop. After creating an account went to checkout. At checkout pressed the Lidl Plus Card button and it logged me out. I log back in. I press the Lidl Plus Card button, it logs me out. I keep doing this with growing queue off people getting more and more angry. Great work (not) Shambolic app left me without its main function to me. That of keeping receipts and collecting points. Now I just have an app that is a.sales board for Lidl with no function.

It is a good app to keep you update of the offers and get a few pennies out of your bill with some weekly vouchers. The only problem what I got is the scanning system sometimes doesn't work properly or the app doesn't have data to upload the card.

  79. Nick Swann-avatar

    Nick Swann

Too complicated. One of the great things about Lidl is its simplicity, clear pricing, and its lack of gimmicks/reward cards to encourage you to spend more money. They now join the other major supermarkets in making shopping more confusing. Why the need to activate these coupons? If Lidl really want to save customers' money, just reduce the items. Annoyingly, we now have to listen to a woman (who sounds like she's high on something) reminding us to scan our new Lidl Plus card every 10 minutes.

Not happy at all. I was told at the checkout if I signed up to Lidl plus I would get £5 off my shopping no limit on the time what so ever. I've shopped 3 times since spending £114 and asked twice when do I get my £5 off and have been given 2 different story's by 2 different cash assistants. Staff have always been lovely with me but I'm not happy at this at all

No English when you select Czech republic. I would like to understand what the app is asking me to do. Straight forward to use but would be better if the card was on the front page rather than having to click to reveal. Coupons don't last for long either, with other supermarkets within Proximity ideally coupons should be available for 2 weeks, especially monetary coupons

Very easy to download and use. Fab bonus to get extra money off vouchers as you spend and with the scratch cards after each shop. Easy to activate money off vouchers so they are ready to use on your shop and it discounts them at the till for you. Well done Lidl!

Love using Lidl Plus. Not just for the % off offers plus the £12 off after spending £200 over a month and other online things that can be done using the app. There is also how you can see how much you spend in Lidl and what you save using Lidl for your shopping against the other big supermarkets. The online receipts are another great feature to the app. No more keeping paper receipts for months/years just in case something goes wrong. I'm very happy with Lidl Plus 😊

Displaying the QR code for your card does not work without data, my local store has no phone signal, but this can be displayed when you connect to their WiFi BUT activating a voucher does not work on their WiFi even though is shows as activated in the App it won't be used to against your bill

Scanned app made the sound that it would. Spent 131.95 quid to have it not gone through. Phoned customer service they can't help so now loose out out cause staff are incompetent. You must double check with checkout before you pay to see if card has gone through. You have been warned.

The app itself is fine, but the bonus coupons are of no use to me at all as they all expire in 7 days. Due to work patterns I can only do my shopping every 8 days, so I miss out every time. If they extended the coupons to 14 days, it would be a 5 star app

Coupons expire quickly. You have a month to accrue a voucher, if you don't spend enough you lose your progress. If you do spend enough, the voucher has to be used within 7 days. Not as good as tesco club card.

I don't like the way the money off comes in bits and pieces. If there is a euro off shopping it should just come off in 1 transaction as the receipt is so confusing. Also there should be an option of having a card or phone app as not all older people are on line when out of their own homes.

I think the app is generally a good idea (although I don't like carrying my phone as I put it down to shop and am likely to lose it) if u live locally. I have to travel 5 miles to get to a Lidl as I live in Chester le St and so when go shopping I shop for at least a week or more which then means my vouchers have expired. At first it seemed really good, but then I'd get coupons for certain items free. But then you get to the store and they're out of stock and other people are also looking for them. The idea is fantastic but at the moment it doesn't work anymore after last update. Also the automated tills never scans the qr code and you have to input the barcode manually if you are lucky enough to get someone to display the proper till screen.
