    app I was excited that I will watch new movies, but is really poor service, it gets stuck a lot, I'm sure that doesn't have anything to do with my internet since Netflix, youtube and Amazon prime runs so perfectly in all of my devices.     free trial Really poor experience. The video intro with sound is a major mess (HBO doesn't have a decent UX/UI designer?). The streaming in Colombia is just bad, lagging and BAD (you can tell by using Netflix on the same network). Please up your game. This is the most expensive streaming service and even Amazon Prime is better than you.

    game of thrones Fails more than it works. Voice to video latency more often than not. Customer service reps are air heads! Now, I can't even open the app! Therefore I I am unable to watch any content even though I was just charged the monthly subscription. HORRIBLE APP & SERVICE!!! DON'T SUBSCRIBE, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY NOR TIME.

    price Perfect example of an update turning a usable OK app, into garbage. Filled with bugs, can't even properly remember last thing I watched, freezes video while casting to chrome, and they charge for this. Do not waste your money on a subscription with them until they fix the app.

    HBO cancelled my subscription before expiring, requesting to "subscribe" to get access to the content. I could watch content for 2 weeks only after paying the monthly subscription.

    I can't stop regretting the day I paid 25 for this thing. I try again and again to give it another chance and it still works really bad... It requires a really wide internet band, with my 3G it stops frequently, and curiosley I use the same internet for Netflix and it runs perfec, I'm thinking to cancel after this 3 months that I paid for. I canceled the subscription..

    The last update made the subtitles dissapear using a chromecast 2. They appear if you see it in the same phone but not with a chromecast. This same problem appeared the last year with another update. Please fix it, it makes impossible to watch the content for people who needs subtitles !

    Obviously the content is top notch but you need to upgrade the app, specially the ability to have multiple profiles. There's 2 of us in my household and being able to have separate profiles would improve our experice 100%

    Unreliable, unstable, a pain to use. This app has never provided a great user experience, but a few months back it was at least usable. After the most recent update, it will do a terrible job at casting to Chromecast, it doesn't track watched episodes and progress well, and that intro music was a terrible idea. They should really build the app from the ground up because I don't see how they can fix such a mess.

    The app doesn't work properly. I have provided email subscription, I haven't got email confirmation. In despite of that, it appears in my account. So I do not understand! The app says every time I open it, it hasn't been completed, then I access to the platform, but it remains in white (like blank) and stops working immediately claiming an internal error with it. I have other platforms and never experienced problems like this! Plz fix.

    Why the need to show an unskippable animation on start? With sound! And not even use it to load the homepage data in background. My list of things I want to view doesn't display the items names, only a random image so it's impossible to know what is on the list. Casting to my Chromecast only managed to display an eternal loading dialog in the app. This is of the worst apps I've ever used, it's embarrassing that you've put this product out there.

    After the update, the experience seems much better. Only problem I've noticed is it doesn't support tablets for some reason, because it doesn't support landscape mode. I don't know why if tablets are one of the most common mediums to watch media so I'd like to see support for it eventually. I haven't tested the video player after update tho cuz I had to cancel the service for a while. Might update in the future on that.

    The intro is too long and obnoxious with the sound. Dark/light mode should switch automatically with the theme. The navigation bar does not change with theme. On my Galaxy S10+ it's white on the dark theme.

    It doesn't work 9 out of 10 times, if you are watching a chapter and for a moment go to another app when you go back it says that it has been an error, and you have to go back to the main menu and select the chapter again.

    There is no way to zoom in the picture which is a problem with 21:9 movies.. The 'browse' tab has a poor distribution of the screen usable space.

    I think this is the streaming platform with my least favorite user experience. Compared to Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube, HBO's video player is terrible, lags a lot, doesn't remember previous settings and FEELS CHEAP. There's also many bugs across the entire app. I really dislike the way this app performs. Hope it can be improved soon, since having the service isn't cheap, but the service feels cheap.

    The app hangs and keep restarting each time I try to see something. Also, why do you have to use your mobile data when you want to see the downloaded programs? And if I put in airplane mode my phone the app crash and all the programs that I have downloaded disappear.

    I'm tired of giving my time to this app. Is totally unreliable. Btw I'm using it with a chromecast. What is driving me crazy is the inconsistency of the errors: sometimes is black screen / plays only in the mobile device (not on the TV) / it freezes in the middle of a episode / some days it continusly ask for credentials. I've tried everything: force stopping, unnistalling, reinstalling, I even upgraded my ISP service and updated my phone. Im starting to think they didn't tested it at all.

    Good series and great movies. However, the whole app makes everything hard, from changing subtitles to even choosing an episode. Also, one bummer is that it does not have the 10 or 30 sec forward and backward as Netflix or YouTube. Need to invest a little bit more on the app, because for the price of the subscription I might as well get, Hulu w/ spotify.

    HBO content is great. The application sucks. It doesn't have features that are now basic: recall where you left an episode or a movie accurately (feature tends to remember randomly), skip intros, choose episodes without seeing the latest ones (thank you for the spoilers, I now know that character clearly makes it to the last episodes), extra content is accesible per episode so you have to enter each episode to see it. The application is buggy on Roku too, exiting without cause.

    Interface is very buggy. Doesn't remember properly the titles I've seen. Downloads fail on the slightest bandwith fluctuation plus I can't get out and back in because it freezes or takes forever to load again. Did I mention it drains my battery faster than any app?     Membership price is insane! Very poor quality of the platform itself. It's stucks when you're looking for genres (e.g action, drama). I will uninstall the app after my trial ends. Claro Video app (a Telcel company from Mexico) has HBO HD, HBO+, HBO Family, HBO Signature! Now way!!n

    It freezes. It constantly asks for credentials. Sometimes, it doesn't save an episode you're watching and others it will keep a title on the main screen even when you've finished watching it. It has good series but the app sucks.

    Horrible! I was never able to watch a full movie on my tv using this app, always buffering, same thing on my phone or any device I tried. All other streaming service work just fine so i know it is definitely HBO. Also not my kind of movies.

    The content is good, nevertheless, the app sucks. It's a miracle that my view history gets recorded at some point, but I rarely get to watch the episode I was in (I tend to forget, and the app does as well!) It seems to need a faster internet than other apps, so the quality of the video is never optimal. Besides, lately it's been crashing a lot and I can't even finish an episode of a series because it's too annoying to restart the app every 10-12 minutes.

    You guys have great content both series and movies. However, the app for cellphones and TV's needs a ton of work. It's full of errors, takes a lot of time to load sometimes. Navigation is a complete pain. Whenever you stop watching something and restart watching it again. It doesn't put the movie back at the point you were in, it just restarts it. Please, dedicate more resources and work to make this app friendly user. You have the content, you are only missing a good platform.

    The worst app among the likes of it so far. To begin with, it only provides streaming and not downloading service. It doesn't provide English CC in my region.     You had like 2 years to prepare for Game of Thrones, 2 years to up your game and avoid having issues with your servers. Right now not only can I not watch episode 4, I can't even log in! But your servers never fail at the moment of charging. I can't believe I can watch it in different Facebook groups that are livestreaming, but I can't watch it on your app that I paid for the subscription🙄 I rather you guys give me my money back and I'll just watch the rest of the episodes in Facebook groups.

    It has really good content but the app isn't as spected, it keeps playing in bad quality despite of my good internet connection. Sometimes the reproduction stops for some seconds and then continues as normal. My series episodes don't start where I left and start from the beginning, and sometimes movies and series don't appear on 'Continue Watching' so I've to look for them. My conclusion is that it's a good platform with great content but a bad app with poor reproduction quality.

    One of the worst apps I have ever tried on my phone. Really, you can't even watch a movie or show without having the menu pop up on the screen every 20 seconds, It does not save your progress and you have to start over every time, it takes like forever to load, and i can go on and on woth lots of other bugs. I mean, spend a little money on development, it won't hurt you. And now, I can't login and watch anything, I just keep getting an error message. This app sucks.

    I've maybe rated two or three apps in my life. The amount of frustration I had with HBO GO is simply intolerable. I can't understand how someone with the amount of budget like HBO can't create a decent app! I have so many issues with it that it just doesn't fit on the deacription, but it really doesn't matter since all previous users already mentioned them. I just canceled my subscription, i couldn't keep up trying to work around all of the issues.

    Veep episodes get cut off before time. If you've seen the whole episode, app might still claim that you haven't and tries to continue from there. When you hit cancel on end-of-episode countdown, app freezes when it hits 0. Watch list is a mess. Content is great, but both the Web platform and this app are not good tbh. And they don't sync well.

    HBO knows how to make a good show but they have the worst, most unfriendly user interface on both the app and the web page. If you want to binge watch some show in your bed, be prepared to get up after every episode to put the full screen on again. I tried to install the app on my phone, it never worked, just loading to infinity. Absolutly the worst design, tottaly useless. Unsubscribed after 2 months. Not recommanded.

The app randomly stop working, it doesn't have a record of your saw episodes, you can't download episodes, it doesn't track your progress on the series, the navigation is not very good, doesn't save your settings on the languages (After every episode, you have to change language again if you don't want English)...     It is a terrible app. I am not being able to watch streaming because they have an "unknown source error". I cannot log in into my TV nor into other devices apart from the one I signed up, because the "data is incorrect" (when everything is correct). It does not even recognize chromecast to cast in other non smart TVs. And, I requested to reset my password and I am not getting the email with the link to do it. Absolutely disappointing.

    This is the worst product ever produced in the history of capitalism. So many issues that it is difficult to list. App doesn't save where you stopped watching. Can't fast forward, if you stopped close to the end of an episode you have to click 300 times (no kidding) to move forward 10 sec at a time. Episodes ordered from last to first, you get spoilers all the time. Doesn't save language and subtitles preferences. Loading errors. I tried in multiple devices, but it is just too painful. Goodbye.

    I bought three months. I was shocked when the subscription was automatically renewed a day before the date stated! I got in contact with support from HBO multiple times but they didn't help me. i decided to keep the subscription for another three months, i did wanna make sure i wasn't gonna pay a third time so i went and cancel it thinking it would remain active until the subscription was due. But no! i paid but can't use it and it's impossible to reactivate it even tho i paid for it!!

    The only reason someone would choose to use this app is to access content exclusive to HBO. The app itself is a disaster and anything but user friendly. Crucial features missing: -10 sec skip and rewind; playback navigation is torture. -content download for offline watching; every other app (YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.) have this. HBO seems to be living in 2012. -Stability; when binge-watching, series will randomly play previous episodes, nonsense. This app needs a lot of work.

    It was working fine until today, after a couple of weeks without using HBO GO, I start the app, select my movie and surprise, a big black square over 1/3 from the screen! Terrible experience, I was about 40 minutes, restarting thing until I figure out it's jus HBO and Chromecast, and is not just the app, because I try cast from the computer and I have the same issue. Terrible experience, it is a shame because the content is really good... I can't pay for something that I can't watch.

    Horrible app: slow and clunky. Really disorganized, you need to manually search for the series you have just watched. Also, if you're gonna download chapters be sure to turn off your data, because if you're connected to the internet it ignores the downloaded chapter and instead starts using your data internet (even if you open the chapter from the downloads tab). Crappy app, if you have to download the chapters you're better off pirating them.

    CRAPPY APP! , in addition to having a totally inefficient Technical Support! I renewed my subscription but the system does not allow me to enter 14 days ago, despite having already made all the actions suggested by its technical team, which did not have any effect. They also tell me that they will still charge me the full month, despite not being able to access the contents. I'm still waiting and they do not solve the problem despite having paid. It is not the first time this app fails.

    Slow, it crashes, you need to reinstall often and delete cache and information. doesn't keep a history of what you've watched, nor paused episodes. Rudimentary at best. I only use it because some shows are really worth it. not GoT tho, P.O.S. series. Chernobyl is a masterpiece of modern cinema.

    1. You can't view your watchlist when it surpasses a certain amount of titles. The older ones won't appear until you remove some items from the watchlist. 2. It won't remember the user login in several devices. 3. User interface is really detrimental. Not at all appealing. 4. Content is absolutely hard to find and not enough categories have been made. Only way to find every single title in the catalogue is by searching through the a to z sections. This app seriously needs some care.

    Very deficient app. Streaming does not play movies in HD. The apps constantly crashes. The technical assistance seems to be fine, but there are technical issues with the app that can't be fixed by the technical assistants. I had great expectations but they just fade away. I use Chromecast Ultra, top notch tech, with a 4K TV, good internet connection and a good Android phone with the latest updates. Only HBO Go fails horribly when streaming, this does not happen with Netflix, YouTube, or FB. Bad!

    I don't think I've used a more unnerving application than HBO GO, it's absurd, I try to watch one episode and if I happen to leave it at the credits it just starts skipping episode after episode after episode until it decides to stop and if I get lucky it takes 5 tries to start watching a new episode of whatever. And the smart TV app is even worse, now it constantly logs off every time I turn off the tv and freezes whenever I try to change the language. Honestly HBO GO is short of being a scam.

    Bad streaming service, it fails a lot, it's not stable, content is sorted in descending order(recent to oldest), you are taken to the last season and last episode, that's wrong, if I want to start to see a new series, I'll get spoiled by the thumbnails. You Must implement a profile system to have at least 4 profiles in case of sharing the account with the direct family, I'm paying for the service just for the movies a and I can't know which one I've already seen.

    You would think that HBO would compete with Netflix or Prime but in reality this app sucks. The video pauses but audio keeps playing even if you have downloaded the video. At times it does not allow you to access the app from the get go and just shuts itself down. Once you watch the movie/episode it gets stuck in your timeline forever, even if you watch to the last second and won't go away.

    Terrible experience, I subscribed specifically to watch the 8th season of GoT, not only I couldn't watch the premiere on time (I could only begin to watch it an hour later) but when I could, the stream quality was awful, like a 144p youtube video from 2006. You're better off watching it from TV or downloading the episodes somewhere else.

    It doesn't work on my phone, it keeps opening the help page in chrome no matter what you do, can't watch a thing. I'm only 2 days in into a 1 year subscription and I already regret it but they issue no refunds, it's full of bugs in Roku too, language keeps resetting and browsing is a nightmare.     When de application works in "working" mode, its cool, however, sometimes i get some kind of error and, whe workst. HBO GO Support, OMG this guys ignore me several times, looks dont work with service level aggrement, o open some cases, the lastone ... was epic fail. In the 4 episode of GOT, when i open de adroid app, the app ask me credentials (was rare because credencials are stored one time). After that i wrote to hbo go support on twiter and they just ignore me. Later i wrote a email and gets de ticket number: #136078. After one day, nobody contact me. Today i open another case 143336 and... nothing I am paying for the service. It is not a free service. In short, it is a very bad service. I never happened something similar with amazon or netflix, because they bring to production a service with all those faults, both technical and operational? because they disappoint those we have trusted in addition to being their spectators, we become their direct subscribers. Hire someone in netflix to explain how to deliver and market VOD. It's appalling what HBO GO does with us subscribers.

    The app is slow in load times the image quality flickers from SD to HD too often, the intarface is horrible to navigate and look for all the titles, the continue watching only shows on show or movie the last one watched. It's not worth the money. And just FYI I have a 100MBps internet so it's no a connection issue.

    Casting to Google chrome is a mess. If I only open the app while watching something streamed from.another source, HBO go stops my streaming and takes control of mybdevice without asking. Sometimes when internet conn is slow, streaming stops and no comeback is possible unless I disconnect HBO from chromecast and then connect it back and resume is not an option since the minute wasn't saved. If there is a repo I could create the bugs if you need me to.

    The shows are very good, but this app is terrible. Can't have different profiles, navigation is painful, recommendations lack intuition, shows keep playing even if you select not to, no TV casting... It needs tremendous UI improvement.

    I couldn't ever watched GOT premiere, it was always something wrong with the servers, you should have expected a certain amount of customers on those days and be ready for the demand by now, you are not new at this!!

    This app should be optimised like Netflix or prime video apps (that uses your internet connection wisely) but this app streams and cut the video everytime even having 100 Mbps the video stops or have the audio going and the video freezes. Please try to fix this and maybe the people will change their mind. When you are casting to a Chromecast the same thing happens (video cut everytime and sometimes video freezes and audio goes on)

    Awful. The app constantly freezes,and movies takes a lot of time to load (I'm on a 50mb wifi plan)

    It crashes too much. I am watching something and it alone mutes the audio, pauses or goes go the main main menu without showing an error. It does this while streaming on the phone & casting it through a chromecast. Between Netflix, Amazon prime and this, this is the worst, by far. Not HBO like
