I recommend another app "Hifi cast" over this. Significantly better stability and a more polished experience.

Good sound but that's about it. Constantly crashes on tidal and Spotify. No where near as good as Sonos which I have never had a problem with. They should also consider adding radio stations to the app. Unfortunately I don't listen to them anymore and probably wish I never bought them Luckily I still have my Sonos system that I prefer and that's what I'll stick to from now on. Disappointed.

Tidal on this app doesn't have some of the most important features - mixes (My Mix) and Daily Discovery which is a real shame and makes the whole system significantly less usable. If I had known this before I bought it, I would think twice. Also, the pauses between songs are way too long, what is that about...? Altogether very disappointing...

Have had some issues in the past using with Tidal, but pleased to report that it now seems to be working well. Also great for playing FLAC music files saved locally on my phone. I currently also have the Bowers and Wilkins Formation Wedge and have to say that the KEF app is better (plus the speakers are better too). Thanks for continuing to improve the app!

A year later, not much improvement, still a primitive app. Connecting speakers would fail sometimes during playback. Same album art for all songs. Not good. I guess the mentality of the vendor is, you bought the speakers already, why wasted the resource to make app better.

I finally manage to make it work properly by splitting my wifi in two: 2.4ghz and 5ghz. Connecting to the 2.4ghz wifi makes it very much stable now!

When using tidal, the gaps in playback make the app almost unusable. Need to constantly select the next track. Unacceptable for a $1200 speaker system.

Update: Why is this app so bad?????? Gapless play is a joke. Constantly skips songs in Tidal. A complete pain. What kind of marketing plan leads a company to develop such a great concept, manufacture such a great sounding speaker, and then screw it up completely with the app? Competent app developers are out there, looking to work. Please find one. The speakers (LSX) sound great, but it's incredibly difficult to actually use them. Bubble UPnP with Tidal/Qobuz is completely hopeless. It's way too unstable if you hope to avoid going crazy. I had hopes that KEF Stream would be better, and it is, but only marginally so. It constantly skips tracks in Tidal in some kind of quasi-random fashion. It can't be that hard to get this right. But yes, as many others have also said here, the upshot is this. You pay a lot of money, and the speakers sound good. But it's so hard to use them that it's almost not worth it. KEF, if you're listening, you should really get it together. Otherwise, you're just taking people's money! And why? Because you can't hire a competent app developer???? I can stream Tidal on my computer with the desktop app no problem, so surely it's feasible.

An update to a previous review. Several months of use and this app is both an insult and an embarrassment. The app crashes CONSTANTLY, music will stop playing CONTANTLY, it will skip songs, has major delays between songs, major delays in response and volume response. I run TIDAL through a Samsung S8, so it's not a phone performance issue. The speakers lose connection to the very often, I have had to format the speakers and reinstall the app numerous times to make it even work. I have written to the developers to ask for assistance and have had very little help, I then asked to be put in touch with the manufacturers to see if it is a hardware problem, several months have gone by with no contact. I can run TIDAL via Roon on my pc with no problem, but should I have to spend $500 on top of over $2000 to listen to my music?? I'm almost sad that when the speakers do work they sound so good, because if they didn't this "supporting" app & lack of customer service is bad enough to make me want to return them altogether. If I could give this app a half star I would. @ KEF, find a new partner to build this app from scratch. It is a disaster and it is turning your brand into a joke.

Hard to believe an app can be this bad. Shameful. Connectivity to streaming services is too restricted. The app drains my battery even when not being used. Playing music from my PC has such long gaps between songs I think the album has finished. The songs are listed in alphabetical order not track number. The user interface is banal.
