Update 2021: now worse than before. Speakers connect and disconnect on a whim. I have just chucked the whole thing in the bin. DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS. Really hopeless. Speakers are great, on the rare occasion you can get the app to work. Updated May 2020: BBC products (podcasts and radio stations) CANNOT be played through these speakers. As these form 80% of my listening, the speakers are now useless.

Absolute waste of time and money. System drops out and speakers no longer work. Says I have poor wifi but my wifi shows full strength. Followed all recommended steps and have speakers that fail completely to do anything. Best place for them is the bin and spend money on Sonos system.

The Jam Symphony speaker is totally great . The app on the other hand could use some work, such as the Apple Music App being in the list of sub apps within the app such as the Amazon Music app opposed to having to use a separate app such as Airplay to connect to it.

I think the idea behind this speaker and app is perfect, but there are too many bugs at this point: First [recently resolved] issue, is that the speaker has instructions that say to input your wifi password when syncing to the speaker... this is NOT accurate. The speaker has it's own password for you to connect to it. Luckily, after a recent update, you're given the speaker's password (12345678). That was pain the butt, but it's now fixed. Next, after successfully syncing the speaker to the wifi (which I know is true, because the speaker tells me "WiFi connected"), it still does NOT show up on my app's available speakers ("searching for speaker" continues for ever). I figured, I'll just try setting it up again. It works, connected everything, light turns blue, should all be ready to go. Nope, the main menu is still searching for that same speaker. I can't use this app to run the music to the speakers over the WiFi, only local bluetooth (which is not what I paid for). Then, most recently, I connected to the speaker through the app just fine. A prompt appeared saying "firmware update available". Naturally, I hit yes... who doesn't want fixes/updates. Update runs smoothly, progress made... all of a sudden, "Session Timed Out." No worries, I'll run it again... except, as previoslusly stated, I dont have the speaker saved as an option to choose from. I start over from the beginning...... when trying to set the speaker again, NOW ITS NOT LISTED ON MY WIFI LIST. Factory reset should solve the problem..... nope. Speaker tells me, wifi connected (as usual), but it's not available to select AND not listed on my wifi list anymore. Whenever it tells me "WiFi connected", I check my wifi settings and, not only is it no longer connected to the jam speaker, its not there at all. In total, I've tried setting this speaker up over 10 times and still cant get it to work as intended. It very well could just be me, but I have a feeling theres a just a lot of improvement that needs made... too many bugs. If there are any suggestions for how to get this resolved, please post. I'm very close, but not there yet. In time, this should be a fantastic product.... prove it to me!

Love my jam symphony speakers, the app is decent. Just wish that the speakers were echo compatible so I could add them to a speaker group. Otherwise great speakers for the price.

I give 5 stars for the speaker and 2 stars for the app. The reason why because I only use the app for 2 things and the rest is useless. 1. Setup, Firmware update... 2. Adjust speaker audio. .. I absolutely love the sound from this speaker and it really fill up the room nicely!. After I got it connect to my wireless network. I use my Apple products and play audio via Airplay and it work beautifully!. The speaker setting icon is hard to find which I found it so stupid to make the icon so small and faded. I hope they invest some more money to have better developer to create better app which this speaker rely on to begin with.

most of these reviews are correct! The speaker itself is excellent quality and sound but the app is extremely poorly engineered unfortunately and doesn't seem to have any reliable support to back it up. Even the built-in features don't even work! IHeartRadio doesn't allow me to connect to my existing account or create a new one for that matter! And the app constantly disconnects from the speakers. It's unfortunate that the excellent Hardware has very poor software to back it up.

Speakers are one of the best qualities for its price but the app is a complete mess. The UI is wonky, it won't let me repeat a song, shuffling is messed up, and the app is really just outdated. It'd be way more worth it if the app was better. Thank goodness I can just use spotify but sometimes it won't let me repeat songs like I said before. Please fix the app.
