I bought the plus version of this app a few years back. I redownloaded it recently because it supposedly syncs with Google fit and was shocked to find that they had crippled the apps functionality and added a bunch of paid subscription features that no one asked for. Glad I only paid 10 cents for it back in the day.

  2. tana hensley-avatar

The worst!!! Never gets your reading. You'll be trying for 20 minutes to get your heartrate after a good workout & it will keep thinking & blinking & your heartrate is completely back to normal and it still doesn't get a reading. The MOST BY FAR frustrating app. I've had over a year & only worked maybe 4 times & I workout no less than 4 times a week & I use even when I'm not just to see. Nope. Never works. I paid for the better version, wasted my $. I've had it installed in two phones 👎

  3. D L-avatar

Have no idea how accurate it is but don't think it's far off, alright if you want to check your pulse but wouldn't want to have it be the only thing to rely on, full of intrusive ads also, so I uninstalled.

  4. JD Mumma-avatar

DISCUSTING amount of Add Spamming even after I paid for App. Every link at the bottom of the page has ads for more things to buy/subscribe. WARNING: The images on this Play page do not show the ad links at the bottom

  5. Joshua Engering-avatar

    Joshua Engering

Paid version of the app is still constantly pushing to sign up for a subscription service. This app used to be the paid version with removed ads and features... Absolutely no reason to have this paid version any more, they decided to try and con you out of more money with a subscription service and us who supported the app and paid in the early days are now being charged twice!

  6. Bagha Shams-avatar

There are multiple splash screen ads, and every page of the app has banner ads. This is all unacceptable in a paid app.

  7. Mag Pye-avatar

Used to be good, now it's useless. Paid for a pro version sometime back, but now the developers have decided to change the deal, and it's now filled with ads again. Most of the previously accessible functionality crippled behind a subscription. Requires far too many unnecessary permissions (requires access to Contacts for your heart rate?) which makes me suspicious as to what the app is actually doing. I'd avoid this app, as it's not fit for purpose. Uninstalled forever

  8. Brandy Bueche-avatar

Bought the paid version and it still keeps asking me to upgrade to premium. I uninstalled it and will not use it. A waste of money

  9. Pierre-Alexandre Sicart-avatar

    Pierre-Alexandre Sicart

When I bought it, it was good. Since then, the developers removed functionalities, and the app nags you into sharing all your data (why do they need to access your contact list for?) and purchasing a "premium" subscription package each and every time you open the app.

  10. Leo Halliwell-avatar

Used to love this app. Used it all the time. I can no longer use it. I don't know WHAT settings you're using on my flashlight [LG G5] but it **literally burns** my finger now. My regular flashlight does not. I cannot hold my finger on my camera for longer than 2 seconds without risking 2nd degree burns. Very disappointed!

  11. Milan Mohrs-avatar

Freemium experience while paying for a pro app, continuous nagging for extra purchases

  12. John Devane-avatar

Purchased the Pro version sometime back &, I was very happy with the apps performance. Now, the developers have chosen to go down the subscription route which degradated & annoyed it's exist user base. Sorry, I can't recommend an app that annoys a user with stupid subscriptions offers on every use.

  13. Kevin Bastiani-avatar

Paid version is still full of ads and asks you to sign up for the subscription version every time you open the application. Whats the point of paying when you are still force fed ads? Not worth the money, just use the free version.

  14. Pete Collings-avatar

Shortly after paying and going pro, I started getting adverts to "go premium". A limited time offer with a countdown timer appears every time I use the app. Not really sure what I paid for, probably breach of contract if you looked into it. Stick with the free version

  15. Daddy Bear-avatar

Absolutely Ronseal, snap shot info of little use but used historically the data can be very informative. I have used the app for a couple of years now to build up a decent profile. The only problems I have ever had using this app were of my own making, poor finger placement over flash and lens. 5*

  16. Reetesh Vadodaria-avatar

    Reetesh Vadodaria

Had purchased the "pro" version when the app was launched! Now, the developers want me to keep paying them monthly to remove ads. This is totally unfair and should be investigated by Google.

  17. Kim Anderson-avatar

I have a pacemaker and still have tachycardia, this is a very important tool for me

  18. David Mannion-avatar

Very easy to use. Seems accurate.

  19. Mike N-avatar

Don't buy this, it's a ripoff. Use Heart Rate Monitor instead. I bought this and they still push ads and premium content. Uninstalled!

  20. Santiago Hernandez Jr-avatar

    Santiago Hernandez Jr

Easy to install, nice GUI, not what i was looking for, not easy to use.

  21. SG Wong-avatar

Like everyone else is saying. App now constantly nags you to upgrade to a subscription or to rate their app. Horrible!

  22. Feathering Walthamstone-avatar

    Feathering Walthamstone

Paid version still has ads and now I can't see me great rate graphs without paying for a subscription service. Removing features after paying is B.S.

  23. Ken Schulz-avatar

the upgrade to premium dialog when launching the app has got to go!

  24. Iain McIlwain-avatar

The app is kind of pushy when opened but it works with Google fit and is easy to use.

  25. Bree Lamb-avatar

Perfect for me, simple accurate heart rate tracker.

  26. John O'Driscoll-avatar

    John O'Driscoll

What happened to the stand up test? Why delete it? * Note 9 on android pie. Can you change from LED to HRM as today the LED burned my finger. Never had a problem with HRM. And as its a dedicated Heart Rate Monitor it gives a more accurate reading than the LED and camera will.

  40. A Google user-avatar

Worked great on Galaxy Note 3,but not on Note 9. It won't give me a reading. My finger burns from holding on the light for so long trying to get a reading.

  41. Chris Attard-avatar

From 5 stars to 1 as you turned the paid version to pay again for premium.

  42. A Google user-avatar

  50. Christi Niermann-avatar

Ive been using this app for about 5 years now; it's good at what it does. However lately it's been laggy upon opening or has crashed while using it. If this app was a game or spreadsheets or something it would be annoying, but i have tachycardia which I'm trying to track and sometimes the app is so slow i miss the event entirely. This seems to be new, and is worse since getting the premium version. I'm going to keep using the app, but I hope it improves.

  51. Tim Trott-avatar

Purchased this app a while back but now have to subscribe monthly payments to access "pro" features? Hate it when developers take a paid for app and later try and squeeze more money out of you. Makes me not want to purchase any more apps from play store. Uninstalled and boycotted.

  52. Heather Whigham-avatar

    Heather Whigham

Uncomplicated great little app. *UPDATE* Paid for app years ago. Recently reinstalled it and now they want me to upgrade to a premium subscription. Most of my data from the past is gone forever, i can no longer access features i paid for and i'm being inundated with ads again. Uninstalling. What a ripoff from what WAS a solid app and company.

  53. A Google user-avatar

I purchasec this app a few years ago, it says "purchased" in my app list. I downloaded it recently there's ads, and button that ssys "go premium" for $9.99 a month. Are you fu*king kidding me? This is horseshit. These developers are greedy as fu*k. I paid for this app dlready. Once you pay for something, that should be it. Now they want $120 from you every year…not gonna happen.

  54. A Google user-avatar

Now its just bloatware that constantly runs in the background for no real reason. Too bad, I paid for this app and used it to report history to my doctor but now I am seriously questioning why since there is exactly zero reasons why it should be consuming processor cycles when not in use. And better yet, I paid for an app that spams me with their own ads for what is now a monthly subscription... For a simple heart rate monitor and a shitton of bloatware...

  55. David Weiner-avatar

Purchased it to get rid of ads, and then there are ads to upgrade the service almost every time I use it. Your ads, other people's ads, it's still ads. I won't give them money again because they seem to just want more. Too bad.

  56. James Jones-avatar

I keep getting bombarded with requests for more money! I am tired of clicking on something and being redirected to a page wanting me to give more and more money. I want what I paid for, something to record my heart rate...and that it's it, no more, no less!

  57. Jacobus Roux-avatar

Paid to support the developer and get rid of adds. Instead I'm bombarded with the developers own adds to upgrade to anything else they can think of pushing at me. Unethical behaviour. Pitty the return period has expired otherwise I would've insisted on my money back.

  58. Andrew Perry-avatar

When I first bought this app, it just did what it advertised - made a best effort at pulse rate measurement using your finger illuminated on the camera. Now it's become a spam-fest full of adverts for various crappy 'health' apps that just get in the way. New users should avoid purchasing this and look for an alternative.

  59. A Google user-avatar

Great app to measure fitness. Ads for in app purchases on even paid versions are a big irritant and must be removed as it is not fair. Some other non intrusive way must be found to promote additional features. Else it can even force one to even stop using the app & feel cheated having paid for the basic features.

  60. Edward Pimentel-avatar

    Edward Pimentel

Oppressively reminds you to login with your Facebook or Google account constantly. I don't want to thank you. Ruined a perfectly good app after years of great simple service. This kind of data pandering should be considered the same as an advertisement.

  61. Ted Tolman-avatar

Works great on Pixel 2XL. My wife tried it though on her LG G6 and the camera LED got way too hot for her to keep her finger on it for the duration of measurement. I thought she might be exaggerating but I tried it myself and there was no way I could endure the pain for the full amount of time required.

  62. Simon Hagan-avatar

Like others, paid for the pro version but now getting gouged for more money. Lesson learned about buying from this developer.

  63. Andrei Bogdan-avatar

Even though I payed for it, this app is pestering me with "upgrade to premium" adds every time i use it, sometimes as I look to measure my pulse, waiting, the ad pops up and i have to close it, then retry. Very anoying.

  64. The PC Tuneup Guy-avatar

    The PC Tuneup Guy

Doesn't seem to be accurate anymore. I can take three readings in one minute and they will be off by more than 10 to 15 beats using the same device as always. Update: 9/12: Do not like the new interface. Why couldn't you leave well enough alone. Update: 3/7: gets more annoying with every update. UNINSTALLED try block-this

  65. Jason T.-avatar

This is the paid version, which states that it has no ads. Why am I spammed with ads for a subscription service when I start the app? It works on my Oneplus 3 now, so that's good.

  66. Jeremy Carter-avatar

This app used to be great. I have been using it for 6+ years. I have the Pro version but still have to skip annoying cash grab subscription ads. I paid for it but you still want more. Time to uninstall.

  67. A Google user-avatar

A bit of a scam - first you pay to get rid of the ads, and then they keep asking for more money to stop the ads. Please stop that and honor the original agreement.

  68. Rafael Moslin-avatar

Even though I paid money for this version, so saturated with ads for other services that it's now annoying to use and so might as well have got the free version.

  69. Chase Liles-avatar

I paid for this app and now almost every time I open it it ask me to pay more. Don't get me wrong, the app still works - but after I pay for something I don't want to pay again for stupid features that I won't use.

  70. Jason L Chapman-avatar

    Jason L Chapman

Paid for Pro version, got stripped down and nagged for more to get the features back under subscription fees.

  71. Carlos Scogliera-avatar

    Carlos Scogliera

It doesn't work anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing. It doesn't light up or read my heartbeat. It just stays at zero.

  72. Ken Schumack-avatar

Pro version HAS ads. You are constantly bombarded with full screen ads to buy their subscription service.

  73. A Google user-avatar

Another scam. I already paid for the pro version. You don't even deserve the one star.

  74. Richard Lainchbury-avatar

    Richard Lainchbury

I paid for this app and now it's asking for me to upgrade again. Awful!

  75. A Google user-avatar

Perfect for the workouts updated 8/6/18 - reinstalled it today and found out that even though i paid for pro and now i have to pay again? what is going on?

  76. John Lemmon-avatar

'Dashboard' often shows wrong Sodium date data from Argus (bug to fix)... Ads are annoying for a paid App... But Heart rate monitor is great, Ads make app a little annoying

  77. A Google user-avatar

Bait and switch by developers. Paid version switched to account-ware and adware after years of use. Uninstalled!

  78. A Google user-avatar

Using this on the Nexus 6P, even I was a bit skittish on this app's accuracy. Today at the doctor's office I checked while waiting; app was within 2 bpm of what the nurse subsequently measured. 👍

  79. Thomas Kyle-avatar

I purchased this program, but now it is no different than the free program. What did I pay for? Now they want more money?

  80. cameron allen-avatar

paid pro to use the app without nagging. Now it keeps asking for more money on other pro memberships

  81. A Google user-avatar

5+ stars there is no other app. better than this one .

  92. A Google user-avatar

Wow it really works best 10 cent app, I've used this app probably ten thousand times over the years it works f****** amazing

  93. A Google user-avatar

Yes, it works as it says it does. Azumio needs to integrate the Samsung heart rate sensor at some point, there are many that won't mind paying for a fee for this feature.
